Nursing School Supply Haul 2022 | Essentials and Must Haves | MYA JACOBSON

[Music] hi guys it's maya welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel today i'm going to be doing a nursing school supply haul i got mostly everything i need to start nursing school i'm starting in about a month now so i've been watching nursing school supply hauls on youtube tick tock everything like that to just make a list of everything i might need i'll probably end up needing to order more stuff once i'm actually in the course but i have a lot of stuff now that i think will definitely get me through so i'm super excited almost everything is from amazon so i have everything linked below you can go to my amazon store which is where i have tons of different categories about all my favorite stuff but i'll also have the individual links in the description down below but on this it's an introduction to the channel just so you can see where i'm at in my nursing journey and everything like that i did get a lot of stuff because i've been in online school my whole college experience i've only ever done classes online i haven't gone in person yet so i kind of had to start over from scratch and just get all the school supplies you need to go to school so that's why there's a ton of stuff in this video just keep watching for the haul yup this is my box and it's full okay so first this is literally my favorite thing ever i'm so excited about this it is my backpack and yes it is a diaper bag i know but why don't they make regular backpacks this cute come on my favorite thing about this is the giant water bottle pouches let me show you i have like the giant hydro flask it's so hard to fit this in any other like under armour backpack anything like that this literally just slips in with room to spare it's crazy i'm a i'm obsessed with this and it has so much room so it has this pocket on the front it also has this pocket on the back um so if you need to like slip something in your backpack quick or you can thread through a charger if you need to like charge your phone or something and then it unzips from the top and there is so much room you guys so i have a binder in here but last night i put all my school supplies in my laptop ipad binder planner notebooks pencils pens highlighters literally everything and there was still room left over so i'm obsessed with this and i really recommend this it's really nice and deep too so it has laptop sleeve and then the big opening and then it has two pockets here for extra storage and then it even has it has another water bottle pocket inside so you can have three water bottles if you need to if you're thirsty get this backpack but yeah i'm obsessed with this so cute um there are two sizes on amazon i got the large size so um but i read some of the reviews a lot of people said that the regular size fits everything as well so up to you it's not too big though and it looks like super cute and stylish on um it's under 50 so such a good deal next i got a pencil pouch this one's super cute it just white and black little polka dots um it has this pocket here which opens up and you can see everything inside but it has this little thing so things don't fall out and then you can put like your favorite pencils and stuff in here or like little post-it notes whatever and then we have the big one and this looks small from the outside but there's so much room in here like i have a whole pack of these bic pens like all the colors and it's not it's like a third full so you can put a ton of stuff in here which is what i need because i have pens pencils highlighters like i have so much stuff i love pens and all that stuff so i need something that can fit a lot of stuff next super important is my planner i got this planner from wreck med and it came in this cute little box it says hey nurse and then on the inside had this it came with a pair of the bandage scissors which is really nice also a pen that has four different colors and then the planner just came in this cute little box so that was super cute you can order this on amazon which is really nice so i'll have that linked as well i chose the white heart and then for the days it has this little bookmark that just pops out like this and you can switch it to whatever week you're on i got the dated version but i will say i'm starting school in january so i'm like not a traditional college student because i'll be graduating in december so this is made for people who go to school august through july so i'm gonna be missing out on about four months because i won't be able to use august 2021 because that's already gone by so if you're in the same situation as me um if that matters to you they do have an undated version which i wish i would have thought about i don't know why i thought it would be um like the whole year but yeah just know if you are wanting the entire year like start to finish get the undated version so you can do it yourself they have monthly budget goals each week it has like a nursing question and answer and then i like how the dates i don't like the planners that have times for the days i like it where you can just write stuff out and i like it to go down um and i like them to have lines so i have a lot of checklists for the planners that i like i've gone through so many and tried out so many different ones because they just have to meet all the qualifications and this one does in the back here they have like reference sheets for nursing stuff that you need to know diagrams everything like that and then something i'm so excited about is stickers they have all these pages full of stickers they have like clinical ones ones that say study paper do quiz like scissors stethoscopes so much stuff they even have class i have gym work birthdays so it's not just for nursing school it's for your entire life so i would really highly recommend this planner it will be linked down below next time i'm so excited with stethoscope i am so excited about this you guys i literally like almost cried when i got it because it's it's real i have a stethoscope so i got the lipman classic three i was trying to choose between the classic three and the cardiology five i believe it is but i just decided at this point especially if i don't even know if i'm gonna go into bedside nursing i don't need to spend a ton more money on the cardiology one and i can just get it maybe as a grad gift if i do end up needing it one day i got this one what color is it color cie and then i think she said um the accessories are smoke i didn't order this online i went to a local apparel shop in arizona here and they had this and they had a ton of different ones to choose from but they are on amazon so i'll still link it down below i did get it engraved with my name you can't see it but it says maya emily which is my middle name super excited about that and excited to learn how to use it because i tried out my boyfriend and i couldn't hear anything so we'll see about that next to go with that i got a stethoscope case this is so much bigger than i thought it was gonna be like it it's gonna hold so much stuff so i got the purple one it came with this carabiner and then a wrist strap and then on the inside it has this pocket here so you can put like papers post-it notes whatever you need to um it has little pen holders for like pen lights highlighters stuff like that and then this flips over and this is where you keep your stethoscope it also has another pocket here lots of storage in here and it's really nice and sturdy so nothing will happen to your stethoscope and this will just be really easy to throw back and forth from my clinical bag to my backpack and to go along with that i got bandage scissors and pen lights came with a purple bandage scissors batteries and then a pink and purple pen light oh you have to put the batteries in but it has a little ruler on the side and then it has the pupil sizes as well next i got a pack of these little notebooks i watched other people's nursing supply haul videos and a lot of people got this for clinicals because you can just write down notes if you need to and stick it in your scrub pocket when you're at clinicals so i thought that these would come in handy next i got glasses for lab the lab goggles that you wear in chemistry lab those are first of all uncomfortable and not cute so these are like lab goggles but they look like cute little glasses so and it's shielded on the side so even if i need to like wear these in the hospital whatever i don't know but these will definitely come in handy they came with a case and a cleaning wipe and then another carrying case i got a pack of four white outs these will obviously come in handy because i like to write in colorful pens but my brain doesn't always go with my hand and i mess up a lot so white out is always a necessity and i swear these things break so easily so i got a pack of four that probably will not last me even a year but we'll see next i got this little stand to go on my desk for my ipad i still don't know how i'm gonna take notes in nursing school i'm going to kind of wait and see until i'm in the program like what i need to do um i want to figure out how to use my ipad to take notes because i have an apple pencil i have an ipad and i know a lot of people like take notes on their powerpoint and then it records the lecture at the same time so i think that would just be so much more cost effective and just easier in the long run just to have everything on my ipad in one place all my notes there that would just be so much easier but i've always done notes like by hand or i print everything out i really don't want to be doing that for the next two years though so i actually didn't buy any notebooks or anything um for my online classes i did binders for each class and then just a loose leaf notebook paper so i'll kind of see what i need to do but i did get a stand for my desk so that i can just have it sitting up and then have like my notebook or my textbook open on my desk got post-it notes i love post-it notes and i'm always losing these things so i love these ruled ones too because i love making lists with these so those are bigger there's like the medium size and then regular size and then i got the little tabs as well because i liked having everything even if it's like a syllabus or textbooks whatever i use these tabs all the time so it's good that i have a lot of them next i got a pack of colorful pens these are the g2 pens i've actually never used these i already have those like paper my inkjoy pens i really like those but i feel like they run out of ink so fast and i'm always like sitting there shaking it because it says longest writing average so i'm hoping that these are nice might have to switch it up though so come back in future videos to see what i'm using pens are like something i love color coding notes and everything but it has to write nice it has to look nice or else i i'll throw the whole pen away so hoping that these turn out well another thing for clinicals i got is this foldable clipboard literally every nursing school supply haul i watched everyone gets these so you can just put your papers on here and then fold it over so you're not violating hipaa and it also fits in my scrub pocket it also has some information that you might need to reference quick at clinicals next i got a lunchbox and i messed up i realized after this got here i opened it and i was like wow that looks a little small the reason i got a lunchbox is because i need a big one accidentally ordered the small one so i need to return this and get the large one i will have this linked in my amazon but just make sure when you're picking if you want the larger one pick the large one has one big pocket on the front and then a zipper pocket on the back which is really nice because you can put utensils or napkins in there and then the inside just looks like that next up highlighters i love highlighters i see everyone get these highlighters and talk about them i have never tried them out i've never found a highlighter that is good like all of them make my ink run i'm hoping because of all the recommendations from other people that these do the job and i love all the colors so i can color coordinate my notes and everything everything will be pretty next i got a pack of pencils it came with 40. um i'm always losing these things they're always breaking so i needed a lot i will say these are nice pencils like they do the job but my favorite pencil are these guys from paper mate i already have some of them though and these ones are expensive if i need a backup or if like someone needs to borrow a pencil i'll just give them one of these next up i got a watch for clinical my school told us that we need to have a watch with a second hand and i i'm not sure if you can use apple watches yet so i just got this one it is waterproof it's from prestige medical the band is rubber which i really like because then you can just wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe after clinicals i got compression socks for clinicals i'm gonna be on my feet for like 13 hours i can't stand on my feet that long so i'm hoping that these will do the trick these are the nurse mates compression socks i got two pairs of white and two pairs of black because my school said that we can only wear black or white socks so i know other people get printed ones so if you can get printed ones i'm jealous of you but for now i'm just sticking to black and white if you want to pencil bag it also came with a thousand staples next i bought a pack of hand sanitizers with clips on them definitely gonna clip one to my backpack and then probably like my clinical bag and then maybe my lunchbox you're down to the last few things from amazon i got underscore shirts because i have tattoos on my arms and at my school you're not allowed to show your tattoos so i'll have to wear shirts under my scrubs i got two pairs of black and two pairs of white ones and i got these in a size medium i wear a medium and pretty much everything i'm a size 6 pants 34 to 36c bra i actually wore the black one to work the other day and it was really nice i think i'll like these during clinicals next up are my scrubs it has my school embroidered but i just don't want to show what school i go to because i don't really want that out on the internet but i got the grace anatomy scrub i got the top in a size medium i'll have this linked in my amazon store as well there's a local uniform store here in arizona that the community colleges like partner with and you can just go in there and try on their uniforms and they have it already embroidered for us we could buy our own scrubs they just have to be this caribbean blue color we could buy them ourselves and have them embroidered but i just thought that was too much of a hassle so i just went with these i obviously won't wear them after school is over so i didn't want to splurge and get like figs or something i just thought these would be fine they either get the cherokee brand or they have the grace anatomy ones i tried on both of them personally i liked the grey's anatomy ones better the pants look like this i had to size down to a small in the pants which shocked me because i'm literally a medium in everything they also didn't have any joggers in my size and they were back ordered till february so i figured i'm not even going to deal with that and wait and end up not having clothes for clinical when i need it so i just got the straight leg pants whatever it's fine they're gonna do the job i went with three just to be safe but the lady at the store did tell me i can return them if i don't end up wearing them so that was really nice as well i'm so excited about these i got a pack of bad dreams they are so cute oh my goodness i don't even know if i can wear these at clinical yet or if they have to be like only black or white i got too excited and got ahead of myself i'll have like cute little faces on them band-aids syringe pill brain heart and lungs oh they're so cute so i'm excited to like change these out when we do different rotations in different departments little mini what do you call these i was going to call them utensils oh writing instruments there we go that clip onto the badge reel i saw a lot of people recommend these for clinicals in their haul so i got little mini highlighter and then i got mini pens um these come with a key ring so you can just attach it and then the lid has a hole for the keyring to go through and then i got little mini sharpies the little hook on them so i can just hook all of these to my badge reel and then it's really easy access during clinicals thank
