Nothing Could Prepare Me For This EPIC Hunt & The Medieval Finds

good morning my lovers i'm back out on the fields and i thought i'd give that field ago i found the pommel if it is a pommel i'm still waiting for my uh fines liaison officer to get back to me right i've got some lovely signals out in the fields should we see what it is yeah the grass is starting to get a bit long now look up against me spade there look almost a foot tall so i don't know how many times i'll be able to come into this field but it's the field where i found the uh perma thing now i've got signal right in the side of this ear clock 12 21 hammered coin on my first hole that'd be nice what's up there oh it's got a bone in it if i got a bone is there a leg bone in there no i can't see one right gb he's from he's from around these parts oh three 2003 uh n553 five oh or zero yeah it's probably zero so bird number n55350 there is a way of looking these birds up isn't there where did he peg it probably had by a bird of prey swooped down and munched him ugh what horrible thought could be something really nice or it could be a piece of cake i prefer something really nice to a piece of cake it's right down about me all oh let's get this grass out of the way what's up there is that rock hopefully that's a rock yeah it looks rockish right let's be pegs the dead end of these places because they've got a flat side and it's very much like a a little trowel and i've got a pocket full of them oh i feel something i felt something let's get this rock out the way right on it stick a bit wider you don't want to damage it with my plastic peg yeah less likely to scratch it with spirits like um alcohol so let's give it a go shall we seems to do a good job all right who is it on there looks a bit different looks a little bit different from usual oh i got the troll helicopter see if i can contact one of these uh peg makers people make these pegs and see if they can make me one that's just a little bit wider sort of like a white tip and then down to a handle and it's like this field loving it oh yeah i think it's a letter t in the the uh the font which is the type of the the way the letter looks the font looks old so that bends over clamps don't seem to be anything on the back side something there but right whatever that is that is some sort of old ancient relic lovely germany finding the relics today with the gpx 5000 woohoo oh is oh blankets double check it anyway me oh i got a nice one here is there somewhere oh no actually it's an older one it's a pin fired shotgun end a pin fired shotty oh how old are those then it must be a bit older this pin fired save this oh let's get that dirt out this looks old right and that's old i'm gonna have to show that to my finds laser officer i'm right next to a saxon field so it could be saxon it looks like a rim could be a rim of a tanker see how it's all mangled on this edge and then it's nice and straight on that edge it could be a rim from a tankard some anglo-saxon chap was drinking out of uh 1400 years ago that's what it could be i'm going to have to show it to my friends and agent officers see what he says right next to the bike it's true what they say that is true wherever you park the bike or wherever you park your car you should just metal detect around it [Laughter] ah right i'm gonna have to i'm gonna mark this place and i'm gonna come back tomorrow and then detect around here to see if there's any more of it in the ground but it does look a bit manky but that green that turquoisey green that means age because when copper starts to revert back to its minerals you know it's old been down there a while oh that's it this is my last hole i've i don't know how many i've dug but it's been a lot sounds like crap oh sounds like crap oh right westby pinpointer oh yep what's that is that that was it that's brazil what's that then some sort of that one hangs down is it a watch chain a bizarre looking one a bizarre looking watch chain that one goes from one side of his waistcoat that one goes to the other side and that one's that one that hangs down with the watch on it possibly but i don't know what that is they're like little springs i suppose it could be anglo-saxon but it's a bit delicate what do you think anglo-saxon right that's going to go in a bag oh yeah finds laser officer he's going to get a lot of clips from one video oh oh i think i might have to make this into a two video um um two videos of this one film because i have i just looked at the camera and it's telling me that i've shot an hour an hour and a half of film an hour and a half and most people when they look at my videos they only watch about 15 or 20 minutes of it so and they're not going to watch an hour and a half video are they so what am i i'm going to split this video up into two videos so i'm gonna have to uh do the first half rush out here tomorrow and film myself just drinking a beer now obviously i'll come detect it but i'll i'll drink two pints and have two two outros always a plane up there right ah yeah i've got hobgoblin today hobgoblin woohoo oh right oh the relics today the relics i'm real unreal it's gonna be a dark one oh no it's not too bad it says ruby on the relics hammered coins uh saxon strap ends thin bush oh and that lead thing whatever it is oh wow what a day oh oh yeah oh oh i'm just happy i'm sitting down i'm sat down all day well apart from when i cycled here obviously but that's a bit of effort and it's cycling oh yeah oh my stick oh i was thinking obviously it's a bit um haphazard this sort of stick design so if you know anyone that like could could make me a uh maybe carbon fiber or maybe fiberglass because it's got to be flexible because the movement like it can't be too rigid it might snap so something maybe fiberglass um some sort of a stem in in and i could i could email you the scrammatics i'll put my email just here on the bottom of the screen and that you can email me the uh if you're if you know someone or you or you or you are the person that could uh make me a a a designer uh thing for the gpx and then and then obviously if you want to make more then i could put a link in my description and tell everybody about uh go home with sunday today so i have got uh we we tend to go out for sunday lunch now because uh it's just too much effort me coming home and feeling absolutely wrecked and then having to uh make
