The older I get the more I find myself appreciating and liking artists because of their amazing talent rather than because of their "style" fitting what I like. That was beautiful and I may have just become a Norah Jones fan.
That was exceptional.
Heartbreaking cover. Slow and soft like a eulogy, with bittersweet crescendo near the end and last chord is not resolved- like a life cut too short.
Love when I get to see artist do things I don't expect and do them so well. Man am I going to miss Chris and it's awesome to see her give him a nod in this way. Plus, the Fox is an amazing venue, right up there with The Palace in Louisville,KY.
Norah did Chris proud with this tribute.
The Pretty Reckless were the opening act on this Soundgarden tour, and they performed a heartbreaking cover of "Like a Stone" the day after his death.

I run a support group for people coming off benzodiazepines and z-drugs like Ambien, benzos in all but name, and trust me, these drugs are hellish to withdraw from if used for more than the recommended 2 to 4 weeks max for a significant group of us.
You become tolerant to them very quickly, and need more and more to get the same effect. Because of tolerance, you can go through withdrawal even while on the drugs. People have so many strange symptoms, even physical symptoms, from the medication and don't always connect the symptoms to the drug.
Chris' wife is now speaking out forcefully about what happened here.
There are so many of us damaged souls, including the likes of Stevie Nicks and Eminem, who have lost years of our lives in withdrawal and while on these drugs.
They should never be prescribed for depression as sedative hypnotics and CNS depressants can actually cause depression.
I could go on and on.
I'm so sorry this happened to you Chris, RIP. You are ❤️ed
