Node Version Manager Windows 10. Easy way to switch Node version. Install nvm.

sometimes when we have different projects on node.js and they require different versions of node.js we need to switch these versions on our computer right now we have one version it's 14.8 but if we need another one we need to somehow get this version so we can delete this one and install a new one but it's not very good in case you need switch a few times a day so to manage this situation we have a special tool it calls not version manager it's nvm in this video i will show you how to install this tool on your windows computer so let's go to google and we need to google nvm or windows okay we have this one let's go to github as you see it's very popular project on github we can open documentation and let's go to section how to install it so we need download the latest installer installer right now it's when i'm recording this video it's 1.1.7 and we can check and we have at the top let's choose this one and download it now we have setup exa file with the top yes we accept we are choosing this default path default so it shows that we already have some version of node but if you want manage this one we will choose yes and it will be as a part of this package okay finish the next one we can call this one let's go to documentation okay let's open prompt and type nvm it's not recognized it means that we need to close this one and open a new one let's try right now without admin access so as you see we have this version installed the latest one and we can choose different options so let's try nvm list as you see we have this one current version and now let's install some version so for example we want nvme use let's use this pretty old one in case if we want to use this one we need to install it so let's install so it was completed and now it's updating npm as well okay let's try another version so we still have the previous one and now we can use nvm use 4.40 we need to verify it so click here again and the node version and as you see we have right now the old one so let's nvm list what do we have we have two different version the pretty old one and new one so let's switch back to the latest version so it's very easy approach how you can manage a few different not just versions on your windows computer thank you for watching
