[Music] well hey folks my name is Brad and typically I'm exploring the mountains of Vermont looking for old homes and the treasures that the Pioneers lost when they lived up there but today I find myself considerably further north in the fields of North Carolina you're actually further south would I say North yeah that's okay here we do it again I can't believe I did that further north would be like Alaska you're right you're right but today I find myself considerably further south in the fields of North Carolina and today I am joined by a special guest Jason the quarter I'm not sure if I'm special and crew we haven't you said we have some games planned yes I'm gonna lay it out when the whole group comes over it's pretty fun but this particular field we're in and the other how many acres seven thousand seven thousand acres contain not only Colonial Treasures Victorian Treasures there's uh fossils right on the surface as well I cannot wait not gonna waste any more time talking and some of it now 90s [Music] uh oh it's a body of a padlock so I'm not sure how old it is but um it's the first kind of artifact that we have found thus far here in North Carolina oh we've got some text on it does this say cheese Reese that's my son's name no I think that does say Reese Four Keys oh it's an old brass yeah nice so Jason the quarter hoarder has come up with this elaborate point system for our competition today we've got Green Mountain and team team quarter recorder team okay so give us the rules just real quick Abridged version 10 points for any coin if it's before 1900 you get Point per year and I brought an abacus car to help us out because we're not good at math and you get a 25 Point bonus if it's a silver coin of any kind because it's worthy and then the buttons you get 10 points for any button right and you get 10 additional points for anything on the front of the button a star how do you remember a flag the rules might change is I forget them right but this is what we're going to start with excellent so uh good luck to you sir same to you thank you a 90 [Music] . it's got to be a fatty but you know what so not only are you going to get 10 points but you're going to get probably at least 35 additional points because you get one point a year before 1900. if you can't identify the exact year you get the latest possible year that it could be which would be 1864. the 1859 has no shield on the back if you can clean the back enough to show no Shield I'll give you those extra six points not that you need it because we have zero points [Music] beautiful yeah there's the U.S that's like uh 200 points I think [Laughter] I'll be making it up right now it's a really War error infantry Eagle button amazing fine we're in the Civil War epicenter it would be nice to tie something specifically yeah and I know I don't know I don't know a lot about buttons Brad but I know enough where on the back if the letters are raised it was military wartime issued and if they're depressed it was just after so when I clean it later I might even be able to say for sure if it was from a civil war soldier or issued to infantry after the Civil War but come on Brad an eagle button you gotta be kidding me I'm digging matchsticks and stuff out here so that was an incredible moment like a 96 on the surface looks like a coin is this silver it is silver so it's like almost it's like three past three o'clock and the only thing I found today was two Memorial tinnies but I just found a little piece of silver a little dime uh pretty sure it's a barber huh oh no it's a Merc oh yeah what is the point breakdown for uh silver and the silver 20. automatically fire damage it seems like everything here has fire damage 44 does that sound right it could be a 44 yeah nice heck yeah Team Green Mountain excuse me I do not see all right should I go break the news I'll give him a whistle although everybody in this field is gonna look is it don't tell me what it is okay don't tell me what it is I think it's like 300 points no is it really is it a really high point thing it's [Music] thank you oh I got a what is that might be a button no it's not a shotgun this time if there's anything on it that's a button though it's too thin to be a copper oh yeah Green Mountain 10 points right nice I'll take it yep hiring again representing Vermont just yelled out Barber dime looks like it was in a fire or something it does it looks like it was in a fire 41 Point fine there for Team Green Mountain unbelievable you want to hear it it's probably it might be like a penny get that thing down would you sorry I I kind of think it's going to be I think it might be a coin yeah still down there rivet a rivet but it's both sides yeah that's two round things and one string yeah so rich has found this wild brass item and we've just decided what do we say early 1800s oh at least three Civil War Comb hair comb you can see there's one tooth left maybe like this long you can see the split yeah where it broke at the top I could even Envision it you know what I mean yeah yeah I can see the whole thing and I almost I almost dropped it in my bag and I was like I'll see what they think this is the coolest part that is the coolest part that was the fanciest part and I'm gonna give credit Rich that it was Brad that I did it yeah so kudos to bread no thank you he got one Green Mountain well there we go it's almost dark all right well I did not have my GoPro running because it was not a very good Target it was maybe a 60 I think um and I think that it's a little cut silver coin all I did was rub it looks rated though right there it does look rated it's definitely a cut coin if it's readed but it is it's a it's like a Cut barber okay one dime yeah a cut dime cut dime I'd say if they were cutting it in half they make five cents but that's a quarter right two and a half cents or is it broken I mean this we're saying a lot of things here were fire damaged that's true but that that triangle I've never found a cut coin yeah but they always look like that Jason's gonna flip out when he sees a little cut silver coin that's wild wow I thought for sure it was gonna be Spanish well that's what I was thinking yeah who cuts a dime right well they were saying these were poor homes here right they were saying oh right I heard you and Brad yelling and Brad got something good I'm gonna do another I'm not gonna look doc we're gonna look at it together he says it's really good you can look right at it and he's oh I can yeah that's not that's not a cut piece of real is it is that a cup piece of reality look at it am I am I supposed to see writing or something yeah I can't see it with my naked eye oh look at I see on that side can you see it I need your glasses what was that little tiny number that must have come up that's got to be a cut one real right it's a tiny little piece oh is it a cup Barber dime yeah or a seated Diamond you see the o on the back it took a little bit off too much hold on hold on let me say that's a barber joke oh I see an O there I see a little tiny oh is that the mint mark no oh like for one dime all right folks well it is the end of day one here at dig stock five between all of us in Team Green Mountain I feel like we probably demolished we did have more team quarters and everybody found awesome stuff we're gonna get it all laid out take a look at it so this is team quarter hoarder and we did put in a couple of other interesting things the Infantry I button my favorite find of the day that's a 20-pointer down here are just modern maybe a wheat penny five of them the silver quarter and then Doug's nickel which is confirmed V nickel 175 for team quarter all right this is the wrap up for Team Green Mountain they did get some really cool relics to it that we're throwing in uh Brad's Reese padlock which is pretty cool Karen also got that fancy piece of jewelry thing I'm not sure what that is pennies I think there's three of them there's a Barber dime which is worth like 40 some points 121 just for Karen's section wow we smoked this alone the middle is riches he looks like he's got a button with some sort of design which is a 20 pointer two Indians one of which is a fatty his other Indian was 1890 something 20 points for that to add insult to injury Brad he's got a button a button these might be pennies I'm not sure but it doesn't matter because he got a silver Mercury Dime which is a 35 pointer and the first ever cut Seated dime just a small o but even that you got to give him the credit for the last seeded 1890s silver the whole deal that's like a 40-some pointer so we got annihilated but we had a good time doing it all right folks well thanks again for watching and thanks again to Jason for oh pleasure seeing you a wonderful idea for a game unfortunately he lost this time I like to say I came in second next time maybe I'll have better but look thanks again for watching hopefully we'll see you next time later foreign [Music]
