Ah yes, i'm sure that'll change the minds of conservative voters!
Actually went to a lecture of his yesterday with a friend. We are both Europeans and as we both studied linguistics at university back home Chomsky was one of the most influential figures of our studies. It was truly special to actually see him. Almost like a rock star in a very nerdy, English major way. We were also quite surprised when back in March the venue literary sold out in 30 minutes, I was lucky to get tickets.
The man was fantastic, at his age to talk for 90 minutes (while standing up) in itself is an achievement. However, while I agree with most of what he said I think that he is one of those figures that the media loves to describe as the "liberal elite" and "leftie" etc. He will certainly appeal to Labour voters, might even swing some Lib-Dems, but I can't see him influence conservative voters.
Whilst I love his works I feel as though he would be better known amongst socialist circles and American progressives.
Left wing talking head: I would vote for left wing candidate
Brilliant. What a smug journo though, as usual.
Problem with the UK, they don't know much about their own history anymore.
The man speaks the truth.
Except for the wikileaks shit, they russian stooges
Well no surprise there..
You don't vote for the party leader, you vote for your local candidate.
Unless Noam lives in Islington North.
