NO MONEY SPENT! MLB The Show 21 Diamond Dynasty #1

yo what's up youtube we're back here today our first video of mlb the show 21 it is finally here and thank fricking goodness because good lord it took forever but we're here and we're ready and so we're gonna be going through diamond dynasty now i streamed this last night i have two accounts i have the money spin account and this one which is gonna be our no money spin account so i had a ton of new people that were like hey man i'm new to diamond dynasty or i play xbox and so i never had a chance to play will be the show and they were like what do i do how do i start i don't want to spend a bunch of money on packs and stuff and so we're gonna do no money spent on this account here spend zero dollars this entire series and get amazing cards and build up our team and i'm going to show you some of the ways that you can grind amazingly cool cards and beef up your team for free just by like literally playing the game just like just you know just just play we're going to jump in here i've not even clicked diamond dynasty yet uh when i signed in it did give me a a a loyalty bonus or a reward or whatever i think it's a gold player i couldn't record that obviously though because i had to turn the music off in games because copyright as hell but but we're gonna go in we're gonna go first look i'm gonna show you exactly what i would do to start and hopefully you enjoy this if you do be got the main collection which was mantle got the expensive collection which was trout and again that was all without spending a dollar so we're gonna jump in here and see what the game gives us diamond dynasty uh we gotta make our team i'm just gonna speed through this right now we can do that later we're gonna be a little we're gonna be a little blue boy there we go and then we're gonna be we're gonna be that's gonna be white there you go and then that's gonna be i don't know magenta is that magenta i don't really know purple i don't know anyway we're gonna do all right we're gonna name it no money needed because you don't you need zero dollars to do this so yeah and now let's jump into it all right so when you first come in you're going to see the screen you got to do a little bit of tutorial here i'm going to kind of speed through this here but yeah it opens up with a moment it shows you how to do some of the very basic interactions uh we're going to speed through that because we just want to get to the dang game all right we get to hit with austin reilly too which i mean i'm a braves fan so i don't know he looks too stoked that doesn't look like a hit did am i just supposed to win the game i have no idea i don't remember i didn't read the rules oh my god we're in there smile eat it chapman success we won okay all right all you have to do is bring the right in so sac fly there totally works and then you get brian roberts here this is his rookie card so there's gonna be a bunch of different variations of cards this one obviously is his bronze rookie from 2001 and we're gonna collect that for our first little starter collection there we go mr tutorial are you happy it's gonna show us how to replace a player sure we're gonna put good old brian roberts in there and then it has you do another moment now moments in the name of the show are ways that you can earn stubs and xp to get more things in different programs we'll show you about those programs in a little bit but doing these moments it puts you in a game like this one you have to win the game don't give up a run you have the lead here in the ninth you just got a pitch we're gonna try this new pinpoint pitching good lord i'm effing terrible and there we go on the ground easy flip one out baby and then glabor he's gonna hit the i've seen a lot of people talk about this little fly ball indicator all you got to do is try to see that yellow line where the ball is and then the blue line that's horizontal you just need to go where they intersect that's how you catch the ball on that uh some people have been kind of confused at least they were last night in the twitch streams which again if you're not if you're not joining our twitch streams you you should you should get your face us it gave us tyler flowers of course it did austin riley i saw diaz we got the brian roberts card devers is going to be our gold i think also i think actually i think deborah's if i'm not mistaken came from my loyalty reward i remember seeing a red sox player and i thought it was him uh we've got nick longhee i don't know how to say his name whatever that's close enough tyrone taylor and steven souza jr out there our bench is going to be o'neil cruz tsuko dwight smith jr joe random i i didn't know there was a joe random card because i didn't think joe random was a real person but all right and justin williams are pitching uh it's a bunch of bronzes and commons as you can see and then we got good old chad green so that actually was a very nice little start for no money spent to give us a competent uh reliever that we can actually use to make them our closer there we go and now the first thing that i would recommend doing is you're gonna come over here to play you're gonna come over here to single player modes and then you're gonna come and check out the show down here so showdown's gonna let you draft your own team here based off of like this pool of players you're gonna put together a team and you're gonna complete these challenges the blue ones you can fail but if you do pass them it makes the the end even even easier um these red ones here if you fail the red ones you have to restart it okay so sometimes these cost money the starter one doesn't so boom we're just gonna jump right in and by money i mean stubs let me be very honest there like some of them cost like 500 stubs they get in but this one's free we're going to enter it and we're going to do our draft i'm going to take trout obviously we got to take the boy and then we're going to take a picture here we're going to take verlander why not and chapman why not give me a lot of pictures here uh pete alonso's got power we like that we like that a lot byron buxton absolutely disgusting matt olson i don't know where i'm gonna stick him actually it was probably a bad pick but whatever whatever doesn't matter it's like mount castle and then we will take ah solaire can be our left fielder we'll figure that out our right fielder we'll figure that out just get a bunch of cards that we can actually use to kind of piece this together and then you get these perks now these perks i i always go for the ones that are offensively driven like exit velocity boost on normal swings because a lot of these that you're going to want these boosts are the offensive ones i don't really need help with the pitching maybe maybe i'm weird for that maybe you enjoy it i have no idea but you can take a look it tells you what they do i just like the ones that give me the the harder hits and stuff like that now you can jump to the end if i'm not mistaken you can just go all the way to the end we're gonna put our perks on and then we are going to come back in here to manage squad make sure everything looks dope it does and matt olson's on my bench because i'm an idiot and i took too many outfielders in first baseman but whatever whatever we will make it work so the first moment here it's on you see you see it says it's on rookie difficulty and you've got to avoid extra innings by walking it off so let's do it all right so we got a runner on second just got to bring him home kinley easy we got this is that gonna be deep enough is that gonna go no i don't think it is but we're gonna tag up here did i leave early oh god did i oh god did i oh my god i'm gonna fail it because i ran early oh my god yeah that was great uh great great rookie mistake there i am an idiot could be a long ear for a big stupid boy like me well the good news is is that if you fail this it's not over rough days here rough i kind of screwed myself on that one but that's okay as you can see a little red axis appeared there lol this was calculated we did it on purpose smile and now we can move on to the next one now if you ever go into one and you're like man i forgot what the mission was i didn't see what it said maybe i have to strike somebody maybe i have to get out of the inning i have no idea if you hit start on it and r1 it'll say tally one hit don't give up a run all that good stuff for this one so we just got to not give up a run and then we just got to get the bats going big punch out let's go we like that there we go another punch out easy thank you now we just got to hit off rich hill and that's a hit let's go trout gets me there let's go baby there's a base hit love to see it and that one completed so this will actually make the final showdown easier so we were down 0-4 now we're down like 1-4 for the final showdown we could have getting skipped to the end of it but i'm just going to keep going through it because with each one you usually get like some kind of stubs and stuff like that now this one right here is the boss one right this is a red one so if i fail this one we're totally screwed you got to make a comeback we're down 2-0 trevor bauer's gonna be pitching to you and they're gonna give you 15 ounces to play with you just gotta get you three runs and then smile walk him off oh my goodness we just perfectly destroyed that baseball for an out i would like to sue pete alonso that one's got to find some grass are you hecking kidding me that's a big swing he said it's deep let it go all the way it's over his head who gives a heck we're going jorge solaire's going to third baby there's our triple dj's oh heck yeah oh heck yeah he dropped it that's a hit we take that there's the one run we know you still have 11 house to work with now my catcher's up and he's absolutely terrible so what we're gonna do is we're gonna bunt this fella over and i'm gonna miss and i'm gonna throw myself out of the oh i'm in there stolen base calculated i'm a professional and you know it garcia base hit yes he was a common too let's go this is a good time to bring out the matt the middle okay all right all we got to do is get on base two times that means we can walk we can get a hit whatever we want to do just gotta get on base two times before giving up a run so i believe if i fail this inning it'll at least let me do it next ending at least if i read it correctly that ball's blistered that ball is going to fall down too let's go that'll be a nice little double for braggy there's the one hit and there's the second hit buxton let's go easy moment complete now at this point i'm feeling pretty confident so i'm just gonna do the skip to the end you just click option and then it'll say yep and then there you go it's it's the time to beat beaver we're down two you have 20 outs to do this again this one's pretty easy they're not always as easy i mean 20 ounces to get two runs or three runs is pretty like that's that's a pretty big one you know i think usually you're down like 15 nothing when you do these it lowers it more and more and more to make it more palatable but we're gonna jump into it shane bieber we got this that ball's absolutely destroyed buxton there we go there we go am i gonna get a triple out of that you know what why not let's try it let's try it baby we got that speed we in there let's go easy trout is that gonna fall no but 99 speed we should be able to tag up here and i think we do and this time i don't run early there we go dj let that ball sit that's gonna split the gap we will take his 35 speed and hustle him on over to second oh my god did davey guyon just get a hit no but i am gonna tag up 35 speed he was running away from it i think i can do it yeah yeah we're good there we go move the runner over okay tatis home run here and we walk this off and finish the starter showdown oh my gosh did we do it that ball was absolutely crushed and it's gone let's go so the starter showdown easy shane bieber you ain't we got it baby let's go and as you can see by completing that not only do we get some experience some stubs but we also get shane bieber his rookie card from 2018 and it's a gold so that's gonna boost our pitching immediately just for free easy peasy it wasn't really hard nailed it now there are there is another show down here as you can see this one costs 500 but this will be going towards your team affinities but we'll jump into that in another video but you can totally do that and start getting those points and then we're also going to take a look at moments now something that i think you really need to do which is kind of sort of new these daily moments as you can see right here for april this one right here tally one strikeout don't strike out one i'm sorry tally one hit and don't strike out this one expires as you can see uh over there in the top corner where it says expires april 17th it was at noon shoot is p.m noon or is that midnight anyway it expires shut up you're going to want to do it and complete these because these are all going to go towards something else right here let me show you the daily moment program as you can see you get a pack you get some subs you get rookie geome which you can then use in a evolution program to get a better gmb we'll touch on that here in a second and then you get show packs the way you keep climbing this little tear here is by completing these daily uh these daily moments now from my understanding this little bar here will refresh every 30 days which means you don't have to do this essentially every single day you just need to hit 10 of the 30 days to be able to complete this here and get all the packs and and i mean hey you get a free diamond here roberto alamar so we are going to jump into the daily moment here and we're going to try to get this hit here with i think it's jackie robinson yep and not strikeout while looking at joe west's ass right here in this frame beautiful so the the cpu had just gotten an error and it just absolutely obliterated my mind on what just happened because it played like this long tune that i thought i did something and it freaked me out anyway we completed that was weird as hell computer got an errand it all of a sudden started playing some damn keys on me and so we've completed it now that's all we have to do for the daily moment today this will obviously refresh uh later on and we'll just keep doing it another thing that you can do here is tops now moments now in the actual mlb season irl interesting things happen like as you can see from the screenshot right there remember when miguel cabrera hit a home run in the snow on opening day it was pretty cool so you're gonna actually get to relive some of these moments here what they do is they take a couple like the week and they'll give moments from that so you got miguel cabrera hitting his home run you got uh kyle isbell getting three hits uh for the royals you got all these moments here and so you're gonna complete these and i mean there's one two three four five five of these to do and you're gonna get a card for it um you get a a opening weekend uh to you get to choose two players from the tops pack which we will just knock it out let's just do it let's just do it right now all right miguel cabrera here we go home run that's got to be gone right perfect that one feels good it smells good it is good baby let's go easy completed it first try smile never died let's go all right now we gotta get three hits with kyle isbell all right is belle kyle gibson sucks so we gotta we gotta get these hits here knock this out that's a hit let's go we've done it there's one just need two more that's down the line that should be hit number two it is oh he done goofed you know what i'm gonna run why not it doesn't say i have to get extra hits like extra bases but you know what i don't care we're going to third mr kyle isabelle all right one more hit that's a good piece of it should go just kidding no really okay let me get one more a b i failed i'm a failure is that a hit oh my gosh yes right yes there's one let's go there we go that's a base hit that's a nice little perfect two oh that felt good there we go one more i need one more there we go there's another perfect let it fall yes he didn't catch it thank god i was about to say bro if he dives and snags that away from me i'm gonna light my ass on fire all right here we go there we go they can they get the gap all right so now we gotta get three hits with uh yerman mercedes easy got this l-o-l i'm sure this will take me no time the key with these is you gotta be patient which i struggle with because whenever i grind against the cpu i try to kind of just do it as quick as i can so i can move on to the next thing and then or i perfect smash it straight to mike trout's glove that's also what i do because smile that's a hit okay there's number one we take that two more we can do this german we can do it yerman there's two let's go one more you're mad please and that's a perfect let it fall let it fall oh my god trout you suck oh my god don't point at him all right last at-bat that's unfortunate come on bro don't make me redo this perfect did it i did what you wanted i hate it here wait no so i get to redo it that's cool you see our progress right here by hitting r1 and all that cool stuff right there so as you can see now we've completed all these moments and so we actually get the tops now opening week in pack and so we're going to be able to get a i think it's a diamond i can't remember it might be a gold i think they're doing a couple of the flash yeah it looks like there's some gold stuff there and some silvers but there is uh also a bad skin there i am gonna go over here to pax and i'm gonna click uh buy pack i'm not gonna buy any but i am gonna redeem this this pack right here for 10 days you can get this roberto clemente card i know my head is kind of sort of the way actually no i'm a little bit out 80 contact 116 against lefties that's pretty nice 57 power and 34 power versus righties and lefties respectively the high vision 91 good defense solid speed pretty cool card here for clemente and it's free so you're just gonna boop you just take the pack right there you want to open it yes we do and bam now we have a diamond on the team right there nobody spent diamond you'd love to see it just gonna be able to throw them in there and if we wanted to we could sell it i don't think i will though because usually you want to keep this kind of stuff for like collections and stuff there's going to be interesting stuff first thing player pack right here we're going to get some silver flashbacks speaking of collection stuff these are from all these are all rookie cards these will be part of the rookie collection uh uh for for stuff that they'll show down the road we can get pedro martinez barry larkin or tony gwynn i'm gonna go pedro why not he's new and then we can get a bronze there's a hartman killer brew there's an andrew jones when he was a yankee so these are from the veteran uh the veteran stuff we're gonna take andrew jones because i'm a disgusting braves homer so we're gonna do that right there so there's a silver and a bronze we do get one free show pack that we got from grinding let's take a look and see what we got i don't expect much boom we get a silver alberto modesty that's a really good silver to be able to add and then the opening day pack right here we get the oh this was okay so the silver round had it or the low round had to kill badou so this one here we can get either nate lowe or yerman mercedes i'm not gonna lie i'm leaning yerman he's not very good defensively but i mean i like yerman quite a bit no we're gonna take german we're gonna take yerm okay so you get okay that's how that works so then akil badu and kyle isbell i don't know much about isabelle irl but he's a right fielder he looks solid got a nice speed got solid defense and he's got some contact but you can't go against the badoo you just can't you shouldn't we're taking it and then we also get the top 70 uh uh uh basket in there to add to our little collection so let's go over here real quick and let's update the team with what we've done just from the brief grinding we've been doing all right so let's take a look at our offense now we have roberto clemente our first diamond on the squad he's out there manning right field we put badou in center that's gonna be a nice little slappy card there that'll get us going so we can start jumping into some of these conquests and have like capable stuff obviously i'm a disgusting braves homer an 8482 power i think andrew jones is actually going to be sneaky kind of kind of good especially in in your bronze rounds for br so keep a lookout for him he's got a nice pop devers is still a third we did upgrade short stop to monday and then our catcher obviously we put yerman in there so we have a gold catcher now so that's pretty fun and then keep in mind from the showdown the starter showdown we got a gold shane bieber so we're able to throw him in there and automatically make our rotation a little bit better and uh let's see we can also come down here to our bullpen and we can put pedro martinez the reliever i didn't even catch that this is a reliever card that's pretty effing cool uh so he throws 98 pretty good gas right there and uh kyle zimmer why not take out the commons here if we can and we've already added our gold and silver to our bullpen so like we actually have like usable pitchers we've got a gold starter diamond in the outfield another a couple silvers a couple golds like we're already moving on to where we can take this team and go into conquest and start playing that and grinding you have the america map we're gonna dive into that in another video but i just wanted to get you started to see to show that there's stuff you can do just by turning the game on essentially to go ahead and get your team going you can also you're like man i really want to use mickey mantle he was the collection award last year i didn't get to use him or i couldn't afford him or i play on xbox whatever there's a program specifically for you if you come over here to programs and player programs and you click mickey mantle you can actually start this one right here uh there's missions that you can do by playing online or conquest or cpu however you want to play online offline doesn't matter these stats will track so if i went and joined a br game we could start getting some hits right there that would do that strikeouts extra bass hits get a win and those will give you points on this little meter here you uh as you can see you gotta get what is it uh 42 of these to be able to get that mantle there not that hard there's a lot of moments as you can see like you get five five two three three one so you get a bunch of rewards for these there's also some collection stuff you can do collecting bra or common players i mean i've not bought any packs but boom easy i've collected the common players not a big deal very very simple stuff to do come down here stadiums i don't know do i have any stadiums i have two so we'll get there equipment unlockables baskets there's so much different stuff you can do exchanges if you want to do exchanges of common players you could do that we don't really need to right now and then the jason giambi you this is an evolution program that we can't start yet so we have to get the bronze jason giambi to really start doing this to where we can go and get uh uh you know start accumulating stats and whatnot to evolve him into a diamond but there's so many things we could be doing honestly i kind of feel comfortable enough with our team to where i feel like we could just go dabble online if we wanted to and play events if you lose it doesn't matter if you win i mean hey they're cumulative get some diamonds there um but that's how we're gonna start no money spent uh we've already upgraded the team a little bit let me know if you're
