Nintendo Switch Physical Vs Digital Full Guide!

hey everyone and welcome back i'm anton and in this video we're going to be taking a look at both the physical and digital sides to the nintendo switch so if you've just gone the system or looking into getting one this video should help you out so before we get started don't forget to hit the subscribe button to see future videos on the channel and let's get started [Music] first let's start off with physical games now i'm a big fan of this format not only do i love collecting physical copies of games but i will wait for physical copies of digital only titles that i really like such as cadence of hyrule which i still haven't actually got yet personally physical games are giving me more value for my money and that's why i like them so much they feel like something that you actually have in your collection instead of something that's just an icon that only appears when i turn on my switch sometimes some specific games also have reversible boxer you also don't need to worry about if in case in the future the games are no longer available to download or update but that would probably happen in a very very long time so do not worry about that i think the best example of something like that is supermarket 3d all-stars which will be pulled up from retail and the nintendo eshop after march 31st so if you want to get the game digitally after the date when it will be removed then you're out of luck the biggest problem with physical games is bringing them with you since the switch is a handheld console bringing all of your games can be quite a task not only do you have to worry about losing them but you also have to figure out how to bring them with you and that's why i use a case to put all of my cartridges in this one can hold up to 24 carts this case is extremely helpful and has been a total game changer for me you can check out this video if you want to learn more about accessories another thing to mention about physical games is being able to lend it to a friend or have another person use the game without having a nintendo account or anything like that this can be helpful if you have siblings or multiple switch consoles you can also sell the game if you don't like it you can also trade it or even buy it used for a cheaper price which i've actually done with quite a lot of the games that i own it's the best way to try out something and if even if you get it for a cheaper price then it's actually worth maybe you can sell it for a much higher price later on and of course the number one reason that physical switch games are better than digital is that you can taste the cartridge but in all honesty the physical route is best for the original nintendo switch which is why i believe digital is probably the best for the nintendo switch light due to its portability factor you don't need to worry about carrying all your games around with you and digital is really convenient as you have all of your games with you at all times and the games can be downloaded on different systems through your nintendo account but digital games cannot be returned as easily or traded sure you can give your nintendo account to someone else but that's probably not the best idea digital games can also give you more nintendo gold points than physical copies when you pre-order which is a nice bonus some games also allow you to buy dlc bundled with the base game which is also pretty neat pokemon sword and shield super smash brothers and many other games do this so what i would say is that if you have young children and a switch light digital is probably the best way to go however if you have the regular nintendo switch and mainly keep it at home then physical is probably your best bet but it all depends on your situation and what kind of format that you'd like to go with anyways guys that's about it for the video if you did enjoy it then don't forget to hit the subscribe button to see future videos on the channel what do you think about physical and digital switch games which one do you prefer well let me know and i will see you guys in the next one
