morning guys so today I had a request from Jennifer Johnson to do a gray black gold and white pour so I have my 20 by 20 canvas with one and a half inch sides it's a gallery wrapped canvas I got at Michaels I'm using artist sloth carbon black that look like I might have to add a little bit of water to it but that is mixed four to one so I just kept adding flow trial to see how thin I could get it in terms of how far that tube of two ounce black paint would go and so far at four parts of the float rod till one part of the paint it's working well so it's 2 ounces and 8 ounces of flow trawls 2 ounces of the paint eight ounces of the floral so so that's that so I'm going to be probably adding water to this I'm not a hundred percent certain yet I gotta test it this is the gray and the gray was mixed a while ago and it is two parts flow trial to 1 part paint so you can see just sort of appears and then it slowly disappears after this is my gold one to one ratio I have to stir it up I added a little extra I might actually add a little water to it and then my white paint which is artist lava flow white mixed with float all to a two-to-one ratio as well so those are my colors those are the ratios and I might add a little water to the black we will find out in just a minute I've put a puddle of the white on the canvas and we're just about ready to go I'll be back in a minute hi guys I'm back I've coated my canvas with the artist's loft white I wanted to mention that when I was off-camera and when I left you last I had said I might add some water to the carbon black because it was a bit thick and actually I did not add water I added float Ross so if you want a visual this is a 16 or 18 ounce cup and 2 ounces of this which was the tube of black paint which reached to about right here on the cop just above that line the rest of this is float raw it is still very black it has not faded in terms of going a little gray because the amount of float all added and I was really impressed with that so it would be a good test to do in the future to see how far I can float all this down to see how it turned out and you know if it still holds its color by then but anyways so 16 to 18 ounce cup this the bottom area I just emptied the whole tube of the black in here and then I added up to this line in the in the end it was up to here of float Ross so I'm pretty a pretty darn impressed so that's quite a big mixing ratio and go from there so Jennifer Johnson she wanted a wanted to see a black gray and gold poor and not quite sure how I'm going to do it so I think what I'm gonna do to start is my canvas [Music] all right I'm just gonna fill my canvas my torch as well it feels light and we'll go from there so I have a Ronson torch it's a little light and I'm gonna fill it for you so you guys can see what you got to do here see there's this little hole right here we see it in the yeah right there we're gonna put this right there always do it facing upside down just push you'll feel the handle getting cold and once you feel too cold this in the hand a little bit then you know that that it's getting pretty full so I'll let it sit they say to let it sit for a minute or so after you fill it so I've already torched and we'll go from there I don't even know how that I don't know what I'm gonna do I don't want to do a ring pour or do I I'm not gonna do a straight pour it's just gonna mix all the black and gray with the white and then we're just gonna have grey and gold um so that's not gonna help any so maybe maybe a ring pour what do you think I'll have to love to play with the waters I have this it's almost like I want to go right through it alright that's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna start with the grey because it'll be a slight barrier no I'll start with the white just kidding I mean gold or decisions who almost set something down right it's more if you mix my white and a big jug well I don't know what the heck that was but I'm done I love this no I don't want to touch it I'm gonna have to rewatch that video to see that splash I don't even want to touch it so we're just going to tap up touch up edges I just think this is so cool yay I can't believe this alright wait let me torch you definitely when pushing it got some air bubbles yes yes okay I'm gonna bring you guys in and then I'll touch in the sides after but this is the piece I
