Nighttime Skin Care Routine (Drugstore & Luxury Products)

hi there welcome back great to see you again this week I am really excited to touch upon a subject that we haven't done before here on this channel I have taken you through a morning skincare routine but not an evening one and I've had a lot of comments and requests about what my evening regimen looks like and the types of products that I use so it's about time that I provide this content for you it's very simple my products are all over the map literally and I'll explain why in just a moment but let's launch right into it and I will show you what I go through in the evenings to get my skin ready for la la time first of all cleaning is critical to me since you guys know I wear a lot of makeup for my work I want to make sure that by the end of the day and at nighttime I really have my skin clean so I mentioned in my morning skincare routine that I use a Clarisonic and if I don't use it in the morning then I will definitely use it at night and I use the Neutrogena foaming face cleanser as my skin cleaning product I find it removes all the dirts dirts plural because I have lots of dirts in my face and that combined with the Clarisonic really does the job so for nighttime cleaning this is perfect I may even throw in some of their cleaning wipes as well especially around the eye area if I find that that doesn't do the job when it comes to eye makeup their cleansing towelettes are perfect for finishing that up but again getting my skin nice and prepped and ready and clean for my products is key I also love the way my skin feels after using the Clarisonic it's just it's like going to a facial and getting work done there so then a product that I use after that is a product that I found from toss the gloss the book that I featured here before and her point was you don't have to spend a lot for certain products and so I took her recommendation on Garnier's skin renew dark spot overnight peel this is what it looks like and it's basically a vitamin C glycolic complex it's a liquid form so a couple of pumps I tap it I rub it around my face again it helps with those dark spots it has go Suren and acid buffer to help with this peel it's gentle it can be used every single night I don't find that I have any irritation or excessive tingling from using this product but I do see the result I do find that it helps to minimize dark spots it's a slow fade and I will carry that down onto my chest as well because I feel like a spotted owl I have lots of spots on my chest I prompt that's that's probably a whole other video where I need to really invest in in some product there to help with that and I'm sure you guys have plenty of tips and suggestions so for chest area if you want to make a recommendation go for it but I've been using this I'd say for about six weeks now and I really like it and the great thing is the price it's only 1699 and you can find this at various drug stores now the next product and this is my nighttime cream and I did a beauty counter review on this channel before I'm a big fan of beauty counter products and specifically the counter timeline and what I'm using is the restorative night cream and there's a special plant that they use it's called spilanthol a camilla and it's a plant ingredient and what's so wonderful about this is the anti-inflammatory benefits that this plant provides here is the interesting thing that i found about this product i occasionally will have rosacea breakouts on my cheeks they can get pink and flush and i've been to a dermatologist before to get creams and as you know anything prescribed by a dermatologist can cause some nice money well after using this product because of the anti-inflammatory properties from this specific plant i find that it really helps to calm my rosacea and as long as I've been using this I haven't had any of those red patches which has saved me some time and considering that this particular product is a little up there on price at 70 dollars and you can get it from beauty counter to me this is well worth it what I also like about the beauty counter product line is that they do not use BHT which is a chemical used in a lot of these anti-aging products this company is extremely conscientious of women's health and they do not want to use ingredients that have had any potentially harmful side-effects so I'm a big fan I'm loving this counter time restorative night cream it provides some great moisture it hydrates without feeling oily and I find that my skin looks good it looks firmer and again a product that complements the rosacea that I get Wow you can't beat that so that is a big hit okay so next I apply my eye cream and this is where I'm spending my most money because as we women age we tend to notice the aging around the eye area with with dark circles and fine lines and crows feet and all of that fun stuff that we have to put up with so anyway I decided to do a little research and figured that I would invest more on the night cream what I've been using and I have mentioned that I've used Obagi products before but I really really like the elastin eye cream and this is what it looks like you know it has the property of reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles it does help with the dark circles and I have noticed a substantial difference in using this eye cream I have been on it for about two and a half months as you can see my jar is practically empty I'm heading out to buy another one you know that's rare for me to go out into round 2 I'm one of those people and as you know from my beauty clean outline I buy products and then I move on to the next and I move on to the next knife I've never really been product loyal but with this particular one I am the Alaska derm any Obagi product by the way you can get at doctors offices or med spas but and you can even go online and search the nearest office in your area to be able to find it but it's worked really well for me and I've seen tremendous results here and I wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it so I'm excited to pass it along to you and last but not least I have featured this one as well it's my go-to lip balm which really didn't start off as a lip balm it's my lansinoh all you moms out there who have breastfed you know what this product does I figured if it can help crack nipples it can help crack lips and sure enough this is the best lip balm on the planet hands down so this is what I use at night to put onto my lips it's the most amazing experience because when I wake up in the morning I find that it's still there it hasn't moved it hasn't rubbed off on my pillow or anywhere else this is astonishing so anyway that wraps up my beauty care nighttime regimen before I get ready for sleep time and so far really happy with everything that I featured here again some of these are reasonably priced like the foaming face wash and the Garnier product others are a little bit more up there in in pricing but you know I guess it depends on what your needs are and where you're willing to spend that money I try to go as natural as I can and where I feel I need the most bang for my buck is where
