[Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hey good evening everybody so great to see you tonight we want to celebrate what God's been doing here in this house over the past few days we've been meeting every morning 6:30 a.m. to seek the Lord's face if you've been here you've known our suite that span we want to invite all of you guys to join us but as we worship through the next couple songs we're just gonna tell you some of the ways the Lord's been blessing us the way he's been speaking to us through that time and this is one of the things the Lord's been speaking to me that praise is more than just a song it's more than just notes coming out of my mouth it's a weapon in a spiritual realm that just demolishes strongholds and chases away the enemy it's in a suite that the Lord designed our praise to have so many different facets to it whether we honor our Lord with it we chase away fear with it we invite even as angels to come and do the work that he has intended for them to do so tonight even as we praise we want to remember that our praise it's a weapon to fight to weapon to fight and when we feel like we got nothing else to fight with you know we're gonna do we're gonna raise another hallelujah when we feel like we got nothing left to do we're gonna raise another hallelujah we're gonna sing until we see the Lord move because we know it's always in him right the victory is not in us the victory is in our Lord and we'll sing until he brings it amen all right here we go I raise a hallelujah be in the presence of my enemies were all here gathered together and frame the Lord put two things on my heart the first thing that here am i doing up this morning was just not to be overwhelmed and he reminded me that no matter how hopeless a situation may seem no matter how impossible it seems it doesn't matter because he has the power to change anything and everything in a single moment he reminded me that it doesn't matter what it looks like today because tomorrow's a new day and tomorrow he can at any moment change so we're gonna praise him for that and the second thing that he reminded me of this morning was just during the fast we all come with our lists of people or things that were praying for but he just reminded me that at the end of the day it's not about anything that he can give us but it's about him that he is our very great treasure in our reward so as we continue to worship just take a moment to thank him for who he is and to say you are my treasure not anything else you alone can satisfy [Music] there's a table then you prepared for me in the presence of my enemies it's your body you should for me this is how fine mom [Music] the day yeah [Music] it's your ball you should me [Music] tonight and it's just a simple song of what heaven is gonna look like and we get to join the angels in the saints tonight and we're gonna sing with them we're gonna tell our God that he's worthy amen take this together [Music] into all the shades and chairs they bow before your throne and all the elders is cast their crowns before the lair of God it's you you're worthy of it all [Music] oh Jesus if you would your your [Music] and chicken 9 9 inch a minute since your eyes and taking not intervention to rise to you and take and not intubated since your eyes to your changes take night a lady sure [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] Jesus you were worthy of it all you are worthy of our praise you are worthy of it all so we give it to you Lord we thank you that you took our place at the cross so that we would never have to look back on those things because you loved us and you did it for us so though we give you all glory and honor and all praise because it belongs to you so when we surrender it whatever it is that we're fasting that we're praying for whoever it is Lord we surrender we say here to this Lord you take it and you too you do with the glad heart and you love us so much you love us so deeply that you would even take it from us so we trust that you're gonna do great things and you're gonna continue to work it out for our good I mean it's in your name Jesus we pray and we love you amen [Music] good evening Calvary Chapel family just for a moment you can have a seat we are tonight gonna spend some time and worship in the prayer jesus said he wanted his father's house to be a house of prayer for all nations and and this on this first Wednesday his first Wednesday as a church we come together to pray the FASTA to ask God to do things that seem impossible but to God nothing's impossible so to prepare our hearts for that time of Prayer I want to read a couple of verses of scripture to see you've probably heard that every morning over the next 21 days we're opening our church sanctuary here from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. people are coming in all sleepy I but it's amazing how awake they are when we hear this first couple of worship songs if you begin to pray and begin to sense that God is working not just in us individually but in our church because it's one thing to pray in the fast on your own for what you're going through but we see this image of all these corporate times of prayer and fasting where the entire church comes together and they pray together and they fast together because there's power when an entire family does something together and so as a church we've we've committed we want to pray together we want to fast together and we want to believe incredible things for what God's gonna do in our families in our city and but maybe you're here tonight you're like you know pastor I want to believe big things that God's gonna do I want to I want to pray for revival but right now my personal life is a wreck I'm now I'm barely hanging on and maybe you can sometimes feel like a loan in that like it seems like these people that are raising hands and worship they got it all together and the blessing of God is over their life but I just want to give you an insight into the Apostle Paul's life probably arguably the greatest Christian who ever lived and in 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 he lets the Corinthians in on the deep brokenness he'd walked through second Corinthians chapter 1 verse 8 he said we were under great pressure anybody here feel like they're under great pressure like the pressure on your life is great we were under great pressure far beyond our ability to endure so that we despaired even of life the greatest Christian who ever lived a saying he felt so much pressure from this person in that person in this situation that situation it could have been finance it could have been held I could have been a church split it could have been a family issue it could have been a friendship it could've been a betrayal it could have been loneliness it could've been any of those things they're all those things all at once he said the pressure was so great it was beyond my ability to endure so that I even despaired of life I don't even think I can go on I don't know how I can go on and maybe you're feeling that right now I don't know I can go on I feel like my hope is dead I feel like my marriage is dead I feel like I'm being crushed by my finances and yet I come to church and I sing praise and I want hope look what Paul says next he says on my heart in my heart I felt the sentence of death but this happened so I would not rely on myself but on God because we serve a God raises then isn't that an amazing perspective so if you have what looks like a dead marriage or a dead financial picture or a dead friendship or a dead-end job or you're just feeling too hopeless or alone or feeling crushed and perplexed Paul said all those things remind us that we do not rely on ourselves we rely on God and our hope is in him because he is a God who raises the dead so what we're gonna do is we're gonna give you a chance to fill out a prayer card we've given you a blank prayer card because we've been praying over these prayer cards every single morning in fact in the moment there's prayer cards all up on this altar that if you want to come and pray for someone you don't know and when you fill this out you can drop it in the back to pray for you tomorrow morning we want to be a church this praying for each other for the pressure and all the obstacles and all the challenges that are happening in our life want that to happen so sometime over the next thirty minutes we want you to pray at a card and just someone's gonna get this car they're gonna pray for you and it's amazing to see some of the prayer requests that come in and we've already been praying for God to heal people for God to set people free and I've been praying for a couple of men that I don't even know their name I know their names but I've never seen their face and I know that God hears these prayers because our prayers go to the very center of him and before we begin our time of Prayer want to share with you one more story who's been at this church for more than five years raise your hand so I don't know if you remember or even know but this week five years ago this week our church went through a traumatic event a crisis five years ago this week and there was confusion and shock and pain and questions like is this church gonna make it is there a way through will we ever recover and the beautiful promise we have in the Book of Isaiah is that the church actually doesn't belong to a person or to a corporation or to a denomination the church belongs to Jesus we're his bride and he fights for her and if you were here five years ago you saw in the nights of prayer and worship the church fighting for a relationship with Jesus for hope and healing and you saw Jesus fighting for his church this romantic notion of the savior of the world fighting for his bride saying you will be whole again you'll be spotless again I will fight for you because you're worth it and that's how Jesus feels about everyone here that's how he felt about our church back then and that's how he feels about our church today that we are strong because we're strong in him Isaiah 61 he's the God who takes a Shazz and turns him into beauty he's the God who takes despair and turns it into praise he's the one who restores the ancient ruins he's the one who takes places long devastated and he renews them for the next generation Romans says this Romans chapter 4 verse 17 we serve a God who gives life to the dead and calls thing that things that are not as though they were I think about this powerful purpose a God who takes a shoes and turns them into beauty a God who takes despair it turns into hope a God who takes things that are dead and says they're not dead this is what God is calling us to do so God loves to respond to faith God has plenty of miracles he's ready to he's ready to to pour out a mute on his church but he's waiting for faith and so we want to pray expecting prayers of faith and so for the next 20 minutes or so we're gonna just spend some time praying I'm gonna ask everyone to stand right now because I want some of you to walk around I want some of you to come up and get a prayer request and pray for someone you don't know there's prayer sheets here they give you verses if your mind is always like all over the place like a thousand monkeys in your brain you can't you can't get it organized your ATD their verses you can pray through if you need prayer if you need prayer for anything at all we'll have pastors and elders on the other sides of these altars members of our worship team that they'll come and pray for you just come and say I need healing them I need hope I need prayer and we want to pray for you but for the next 20 minutes or so in the sanctuary you can walk around you can pray over the altar you can pray in the seat you're in you can pray with someone who's who's going through something you know - this morning I just asked a few people can I pray for him they just started to cry you never know what's going on in people's lives so we're gonna commit this time of prayer right now that God would do a good work and as father we asked now as we begin to walk because we begin to grab a prayer card as we begin to come forward and just pray a prayer of faith or even if we sit silently in our chair father that you would give us a heart of intercession the broken and dead things of our life you would bring to life the God the things that look like they're not that you would say that they are that you would speak that word of life and faith over us and that you would transform us from glory to glory this is our prayer pray it in Jesus name Amen Church let's pray [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] gonna close our time in prayer in a moment but here's what I'd love for you to do some of you have already found someone to talk to and pray with but if you just want to stand up and just say hi to someone next to you and say how can I pray for you and we're just gonna pray for someone next to us in the next few moments and then we gonna close out and worship so let's take these next two or three minutes to just pray for someone next to us and then we will close our time and worship [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so father we pray right now that you would hear the prayers in this house that we prayed for our brothers and sisters for the prayers we've written on cards that we would take these home and faithfully pray they would draw us to pray whether it's this morning time 6:30 a.m. or whether it's in our homes that you would help us over these next 21 days to press into this prayer God we know for some of us talking to you seems foreign awkward but God if you just give us the heart of simple prayer to talk to our Father but we would learn this language of Prayer they would learn to care for other people by praying for them and that we'd know that our prayers have power that our prayers go to the very center of the throne of God the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth the God who is for us the God who delights in answering our prayers God this is who you are and we are your covenant people and we just we rejoice right now that on a Wednesday night we could bring our stuff into your house and you could wash us clean we could bring our anxiety and our fear we could bring our pressure you could bring all the things that it seemed bigger than us and we could bring them to a God who is above all things that God who who says yes any man look like dead ends god you're the thing that call you're the one who calls to live those things that are dead you declare you say it so tonight we believe it as your people and now as we close and worship God fill our hearts with faith and hope and love that would be those who represent you well in this world and we pray this in Jesus name Amen Church let's worst of our Savior because he is
