NFN Salmon Shakedown 2023 Lake Michigan Fishing

no fish nick here it is June 21st my first salmon trip of the Season since I rebuilt a well it's the first salmon trip of the season I did uh rebuild the trans uh the transom on my boat we're about to go out I'm gonna be fishing with Wally and big city Bob now it is kind of windy so I'm taking my intro in here in my truck right now we're heading out to Two Rivers Wisconsin and we're gonna uh go give her a hill it'll be the Shakedown Cruise for for my season June 21st my good buddy Cody's been killing them and uh Mike Holman he's been doing really good too so everybody's doing really good in my uh Inner Circle so hopefully I can uh do as well if we're gonna find out all right we've been out here a while we set up and big fish Bob's first to go on The Wire wire and dummy me I forgot the damn meat so I don't have a single meat rig out but uh we do have a lot of Flasher flies actually all everything's got flasher flies on it so once uh we get netting you'll get to see what what which one got bit big big city Bob there's Wally up there battle buddy yeah and uh we got fish down there after my riggers are at uh 50 and 80. so cool The Wire got the Garment new garment out here there's a Big Blob of bait here's my downrigger ball there's another downrigger ball there's my downrigger flasher right there that's the back locator oh there we go another one no that's the uh 200 200 [Music] I get that up to Wally left the net here that might have came off I think we lost the one on the 200 200 copper I'm gonna hit a mark so we're we're on them I think we lost that one yeah we can put that back in the holder for now and we'll check it after we get to take care of this fish getting in position first king of 20 23 for me for my boat now you're gonna uh oh yeah I'm gonna speed up the boat a little here hold on okay sped up the boat oh we must have caught another line somewhere you gotta you gotta bring them to me though Bob hey he's in the net all right Grace King we got another line all right which which one did he bite the Big Weenie or the other one he's on it's on Cody's that that actually is uh Pound Town that's a pound town he hit them both he hit them both that guy was hungry you got two hooks in them look at that that's crazy I've never seen that I really think he hit both yep I did I did all right so okay he he had them both hooked in his face so yeah that's kind of yeah that was on on my 200 or something no anyway anyway we got to figure it out okay it's been crazy uh we've been we got double header going uh both on dipsy's how's that wire Dipsy that we already caught one on and then uh he uh Wally let Wally's went way out so all right cool cool yeah that's the sound I like to hear I didn't even know he was hooked yet yeah man it's been crazy and uh that was uh that one that our first one actually had the 200 copper I don't know how I had it but it had the 200 copper and it came up and hit a Dipsy so I don't know how that happened huh the transom held we're out here so far a little bit but he's getting tired now they're wired both wires are uh no that's a braid braid and then uh these are fun to catch this yeah and big city Bob's is on the wire roller Rod yeah we're at 40 feet here 40 feet all right take it easy now okay you can stand up Bob if you want to speed up like my troll smarter I got a remote control and our first bite happened at 6 30 and I think it's like seven right now oh nice one you're gonna have to bring them to me [Music] come on I got him I got him all right pound town oh that's a 20 that's a nice one nice big Kings look at that yeah man that's a quality King there all been like ah pound town all right boy did he he ate that guy yeah there it is green beans okay trade spots I bleed these guys out and then they go in the cooler that last one's still and so it's seven o'clock so in a half an hour here we had three four bites then they'll go on ice I can hear the dragon while he's going Wally's got a big one going all right the new bolt rule it used to be you had to catch a fish before you crack a beer this was get the full Rod spread out and then crack one crazy ass yeah crazy horses brother crazy crazy ass all right oh yeah it makes a lot of sense behind me yep set up extend the handles that's extended I got I'm gonna speed up the bowl a little like my new remote control smarter [Music] nice big one get them up to the surface if you can't [Music] all right nice gank no he's he's good another nice one oh okay we've been uh running about 2.2 between 2.0 and 2.2 at the ball temperature has been like 51 to 52 down 46 feet um here's our three fish boom boom boom so we just been uh cruising along I like my new uh troll smarter that's new for this year I had a a troll Master Pro or whatever an old one like the original and then I replaced it with this I do like the remote control that you get with that it's been very helpful so I'll turn it down a little I was going a little fast and new Garmin that's the new for the year the back garment's been kind of fun but that's just uh I haven't I can't see that help me catch any fish at all because it hasn't not yet but someday it might Thursday morning last night it got dead after we had a bite a good bite between six and seven and it died off so we wound up four for five we got a lake trout it was our last fish got that on uh SW rigger I didn't get any video of it but anyway uh we're out here this morning bright and early it's uh it's it is 4 10 a.m and we just had our first fight on a Dipsy I believe it's a Dipsy is that where you're running Raleigh yes yes inside Dipsy this one flash or fly here we go uh 2.1 at the ball it's like a rainbow or cohort hello we got him first one up Megatron okay little salmon cool we got a double header going on I got one on a moonshine spoon and while he's been fighting one from a on a Dipsy it ran out to like seven eight hundred feet back Wally's did and he finally got her close and then we popped one on the downrigger here I'm just trying to play them out on the high Dipsy at 151. that's what Wally's was all right I'm gonna speed up just a get this guy back behind the boat because he's trying to pass the boat [Music] my gipsy's trip two over there my line is in my Dipsy oh all right there we go untangle the Dipsy all right he's in the net oh some netting up nice eater King there we go had to do some slim slamming he tripped my Gypsy here faster uh crab face I think oh no it's the ladder back I'm not sure what that one's called it glows greenish blue anyway it's blue with the letter all right we are actually gonna move back to where we started and start that salt troll all over again mark in the morning cool all right that one got off he co-hosted the hook and it's only a it's only a two two hooker you know where the line starts yeah it's stuck in the middle yeah he turned that hook right around man and you I would have thought because uh this treble Hook's broken or whatever he yeah the two hundle is going again and and Wally just had another one Coho his flight the way that gets over there yeah we're gonna have to start smelling those you gotta tie them around all right this happened it's because you're living right now oh we're living right because we got good things happening try not to suck Wally got him good job he didn't suck nice big one that's a nice tank look at that thick that's a thick sucker oh all right oh and that's caught carefully he's still lively or he could shake on you okay all right there's a nice one and a Green Goblin good job you have some teamwork there buddy 200 copper give him a little whack and I'm hooked in the face perfectly sweet yeah yeah oh Wally Wally hands me uh the beer koozie look at this Koozie he gave me and every time I start rubbing these novice on there I'd get a bite what a special Koozie where'd you get this koozie what are those knobs on there handle grip okay yes what kind of cozy this guy it brings onto my boat look at that hmm interesting quick update it's almost eight o'clock in the morning it was pretty dead for a while but uh I'll send the 200 copper went again so 200 copper has been working all right gotta wait wait now oh he's still fighting there's some activity on that other end hold on all right had to reach for that one I had to reach on that one it was quite a reason it was yeah I went a little early yeah that's the main thing that is a nice one that's a cool there might be there's just some spots on his tail he might be a little King that's got a green ladder back yep all right good the wire Dipsy just fired and this guy he started charging a boat and then he turned around went the other way this one's a lot of fun number three setting 130 100 some feet of line 130. oh they're getting a little deeper but that's normal it's uh 8 17 in the morning there is a snubber on this one this is a regular Dipsy set up not a SW ORD all right she's getting close it's been a battle on these wires they all feel good underwear but I think there's some weight to this one we're gonna find out soon is where I stand up I try to guide the fish to Wally I can keep molding he's a junk kicker motor keep him on a kicker motor oh he saw the boat he's a thick one yeah short and fat okay I'm at the now I bring him to Wally it's like that that's how it's supposed to go good job he did not suck Wally yeah yeah there we go beautiful King yeah thank you kind of look good yes sir Pound Town tackle baby okay got the new toy to play with another new toy hit the switch I'm gonna spray it on the the blood and the skills oh we got some must be some cleaner left in my carpet and last time I cleaned it up cool spray is good okay Wally had one on the high diver uh it doesn't appear to be too big but it's one and we only need a couple more and we're done it's after 10 o'clock in the morning no oh I missed got enough time it looks like a little Coho all right that was it we want it uh wound up going eight for ten uh Wally already took off and anyway it was a good trip Shakedown um my spray down hose uh I got a sprung a leak and then so I got to do some work on my spray down system the new one but anyway other than that Shakedown went really good caught some fish and we're just going to keep getting dialed in so that's all for today NFL [Music]
