Good Sunday morning, everybody. 742 and we don't have the best conditions out there today. It's not live. Look outside in Portland. No, no, in Washington. Yeah, I'm Mount Washington. Yeah, a lot of cold there. Just a little bit. Yeah, just a little bit. Yeah, a lot of snow there. Fog and rain but it'll get better. Yeah, we're gonna see everything changing up a bit more here but we are starting off with some rain but mild temperatures to start your morning. Hannah. So that's pretty nice for your Sunday morning. Good day, everybody. It's happy Saint Patrick's Day. We're starting off with temps right around 40 degrees, which is general where high temperatures should be so very, very mild out there for your Sunday morning. But you want something that can stand up so some rain because most of the state at this point is seeing some kind of rain or presci in the mountains. Instead seeing some snow at this point. Most of us just seeing some light rain showers bit more moderate in some areas over towards Fryeburg at this point. But other than that though, most of us just seeing general pretty light to moderate rain showers at this point. So you go through the rest of your morning, we're gonna see this continuing to move across the state, the better banding that will continue to move eastward here through your morning. By about lunchtime, many of us in the western half of the state are gonna start to notice this falling apart a bit more and tapering off. So for Portland, for your parade, it starts around noon. It's gonna really end right around. Then. For the most part, even with that, you're still gonna have some of the sprinkles continuing, but you should be through the bulk of it by that point, other half the state, we're still gonna be dealing with it by then. But as we look into the rest of the afternoon and evening, this all really becomes a lot more scattered. The clouds start to break and we get more sunshine back out there. So it will be a much nicer. Second half of your Sunday rain totals nothing too dramatic. About half an inch in Eastern Maine, quarter inch or less in western half of the state. Even with this though the ground is very saturated with water already, so that water that falls can still just kind of run off and cause some hydroplaning issues. So make sure you take your time if you're getting on the roads, winds out of the south as we go through the first part of your day with that gonna be up to around 25 mile an hour wind gusts. So still generally a pretty breezy day not gonna want the umbrella. You're gonna want a rain jacket instead because it is just gonna kind of blow over if you have to deal with that and they'll shift out of the west as we head on your afternoon and evening, Monday looking pretty nice. We're gonna have lots of sunshine out there will start your Monday morning. So it's gonna be nice. Couple clouds try to get in there at times, but overall still a pretty nice start to the work week could see a few flurries trying to come overnight into Tuesday morning, but not expecting to see much. Maybe just a couple of flurries here and there. By Tuesday, we'll still have some sun and some clouds back out there. I think what we're more so gonna notice as we get to the middle of the week is gonna be how temperatures are gonna move and just kind of shift south a little bit because some cooler air from the north is starting to make its way into our region. As that does. You're gonna notice your high temperatures instead of staying right around 50 degrees, they're gonna really start to cool off quite a bit more. Getting into the forties and then thirties by the time we get to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so everything's really gonna start to cool off quite a bit. More seas 4 to 6 ft for your day today, winds out of the southwest with gusts up to 30 knots on the water and there's a small craft advisory issued until 11 pm. Tonight. Here's a look at the rest of your week ahead. Some sunshine and some clouds still on Monday and Tuesday. But both days looking pretty good looking at those temps following for the beginning of spring could see a strange snow shower the second half of your Wednesday, but not looking at too much. And then we have some sun and some clouds here as we go to Thursday and Friday, but looking pretty nice there as well. But you will need a better jacket at that point because you're gonna see those highs getting back into the thirties. So, getting cooler, but overall still pretty great week coming up. That's good. This morning is like a board game, Jenga type of morning. You stay inside if you know. You know. Right.
