bus-only two months later the dolphin was tragically found washed up on some rocks did 63 years later Orphan Annie is still infatuated with or poor every store in town is or port-based its grave holds pride of place and its main attraction is the opposite a tube in the village square why is this town still obsessed with a dolphin that's been dead for over half a century why can't they move on and why is the boy in that statue naked I had to find out what was going on in open Ani so what if he'll do out here lots of P and fishing for information on PD so he's gone now is that bad for - Ernie with the dolphin head turned into a murder mystery and it was up to me to find out who did it the next morning I traveled deep into the hokianga harbour the scene of the crime with some tough questions for a local angler there's rumors that a fisherman killed Oppo well I cannot cannot be a hell of a scene sure because everybody loved okay all right well let me ask you hutch Walker my her down the open on a museum do you guys know anything oh we do yes her name wasn't funny it was dawn and the story it wasn't here bull she was only four years old do you want to continue this story right okay what else can I tell you about that story not very much at all do you want to continue with the story we have since been in contact with Winnie whose real name is dawn so the phone numbers as far as we can go to lead you to quitting they gave me the phone number it was time for me to continue with the story on my own there's a specific reason why I wanted to meet you in particular and that was because you were famously in the video of oppa the dolphin I was in the film you were called greeni mr us why we called gwynnie in the film I think because it producer of it film got it wrong your name is Grace no I'm sorry dawn sorry Dorney sorry dawn sorry grace so I'm the little girl he gets really upset because they take the ball away you love that boarding it I don't you a Devastator that you've lost your ball yeah and you don't give a toss about how far in your mind OPO is a villain no I stole your border name no I don't know the teachers stole the port to give to a pack yeah so I post saw the war the teacher was working for over I wasn't here so I'm saying is the only person in all of open Oni who had any reason to harm oco-2 did you kill her okay pause the tape for a minute this was the moment standing on a wharf accusing innocent lady of dolphin murder that I realized that I'd lost my mind it didn't matter how many innocent fishermen I stitched up in the Edit I can't get some big-ass dynamite and then I'll feel like Oh Paul wasn't coming back if I wanted to help open Oni I needed to stop looking for what was wrong with it and focus on what made it great but if I was gonna do that there was only one person I could trust to show me the Beast of the town someone guaranteed to make my cheeks pop all I had to do was say his name in the wind [Music] oh you mean we were hoping you'd be able to show me like all the best features of open own it beside you besides ha okay took me on a tour of all the top sites around town anyways I mean so burgers ice creams this is the big basket here and they selling smokes and ice cream this is dope in any restaurant and they sell while states and lots of ice cream was everybody hotel they saw my face they do ice creams in down one of the hardest upbringing anyone could ever have no once Warriors there's nothing to work on on three I've got step six times I've been stabbed six times was this when you tried to hug a gang member you voluntarily jumped in the boat yeah and then have that go well I thought they just put me on Facebook and I just started back hopefully I get feed to the other pretty hungry haha what'd you get they stabbed me in the cheese then these get told stay me again and then he wouldn't stay me gave birth then I said what are you encouraging to stab yeah I told him to do it he ain't gonna do it ah genius yeah I mean ideally you wouldn't've just hopped in the boot in the first place they're looking for here now there would have been a bit of playing these well I did all those things for reason why for me to be able to speak and teach so I could help our young ones what sort of listeners do you take well listen up one thing it it's a good listen listen number two love life every breath every day okay that kind of relates to listen number one doesn't it don't get stabs herb taught me a valuable lesson that day the open or knee was so much more than a town that had a dolphin sixty years ago it was a beautiful place full of beautiful people and the people deserved a new icon a new symbol of hope for the future [Music] it's been so wonderful to spend some time here and the wonderful small naked child I came here to meet Oppo the dolphin and I was severely disappointed to learn that the dolphin possibly was murdered 65 years ago look make you stop pulling there for a quick second my point is is that you guys don't need a dolphin you need jobs yeah you need jobs that is true you do need jobs but more importantly than jobs you need a new icon a new inspiration and you hope for the future ladies and gentlemen I give to you your new icon the Tony for [Music] look after each other try not to hit another soul just love life to the fullest kids my time and open ani had started as a murder investigation and while I didn't find the killer I found one of the most beautiful places on earth so if you get the chance visit often Ani you won't get to see our poor but Interesting that Guy keeps posting videos to the Jono and Ben channel even though the show got cancelled. Is he producing new videos or are these archived from old episodes? Either way; a Guy travel channel where he just goes around to small NZ towns and does stuff like this for a full half hour would be great.
