hey hey hey welcome back it's been a crazy week in the UK with all the new immigration changes just announced so if you're looking for a job in the UK with sponsorship it's understandable that you're going to be really nervous but the good thing is today's video is good news today we're talking about jobs that are available in the UK and every single one of them offers sponsorship we're also talking about some job tips that can increase your chances of Landing that job in the UK so remember to watch all the way till the end I'm ashika and on this channel we talk about moving across the world for that dream job of to study and with that let's dive in so we're in the last quarter now and a lot of people say that jobs are drying up a lot of people say that jobs are opening up because companies want to exhaust their budgets either way the fact is that today's video has 50 job openings and to be honest I didn't even mention some job openings because honestly I was running out of time the bottom line is there were a lot of job openings so the way I see it if you want to get a job in the UK there are two ways you can either seize the opportunity and March right ahead and go and try and get that job or you can let your negative thoughts take over and somebody else's negative thoughts take over and lose that opportunity let me share some tips now assume today you see a company that you're interested for but they don't have the role that you're looking for specifically so you can technically wait for an opening to pop up at this company or you can actually look for the agency that posted this opening and get in touch with them take for instance this opening it's an opening for the test equipment electronic design engineer by Enterprise Recruitment and obviously Enterprise recruitment is an agency now I don't know them personally so be careful with all of these agencies as I always say but here's the thing I would actually reach out to them if I wanted a job in this company in a similar role or in the similar industry and here's the thing they may not reply but what if they actually do I'd basically Reach Out share my profile ask them if they have something relevant and if they don't ask them to keep my profile in mind if something relevant does come up and even if I don't want to work specifically in this particular company or this specific role I would still reach out a lot of people say it's very easy or very difficult to get jobs in the UK and to be honest it is a blanket statement it's difficult for some roles very difficult for other roles and not so difficult for some roles it's not fair but that's quite literally how it is I have a couple of friends there are couple and both of them started looking for sponsor jobs in the UK at a similar time and both of them landed sponsor jobs in the UK at a similar time it just took them a couple of months but truth be told they were in Tex so it might have been a little easier I'm not going to lie that I know others who are in marketing who've been trying for a little while now for them it's a little more challenging so both scenarios exist but that brings me to my next Point what you need to keep in mind is what's in it for them them being the recruiter here a company usually looks to hire from outside the UK if they're looking for a skill set that they can't find or meet in the UK if they can't train somebody quickly in this skill set in the UK and some of the examples over here are Tech roles because traditionally the UK is not the strongest when it comes to Tech roles right or take for instance the role of a chef like a sushi chef or a tandur chef not a skills are a speciality that they have in the UK so they very often hire from outside for these rooms the same is the case with doctors nurses Veterinary surgeons dentists a lot of them are hired from outside the UK or the other scenario is where they can hire somebody to do the same role and they pay them a lot lower so the skill set technically Remains the Same but how much they pay you is much less and an example of this is care workers but that being said they also do hire for a lot of other roles the rate may be slower than these roles that I've just mentioned but it's not non-existent for instance I have friends here who work in finance I also have friends who work in ux so obviously it means people are still getting sponsored and if you're a little worried let me put it this way a couple of days ago I was going to London by train and I don't usually wear headphones what I did happen to notice was all the different languages I could hear in the train which obviously means people from a lot of different countries and they were all going to work so of course it is possible to get sponsored but I guess the big question here is how much do you really want this you can really want a job in the UK and then you can go and apply for 10 jobs and get 10 rejections and then call it a day and get really rejected and say oh this isn't working out for me or you can want that job and you can be willing to put in that work and apply every single day and get those 10 rejections and not let it affect you and say I'm going to still keep trying I'm going to improve my methods but I'm going to still keep trying right because please remember when you throw in the towel when you get rejected you give up but somebody else is not going to they are still going to hustle and those are then going to be the people who end up with the job because let's be honest there are thousands hundreds of thousands of people who are looking for jobs in the UK and who are willing to put in that effort which brings me to point two or tip two you have to be willing to commit to this process when I say commit it means you are willing to set aside time every single day and effectively spend this time to look for a job a lot of you are already probably working so that means when you get home of obviously you're going to be tired exhausted you need a break and you'll freshen up you'll have your dinner but instead of spending those 2 hours watching Netflix maybe you decide I'm going to spend 1 hour watching Netflix instead and instad dedicate that one additional R to looking for a job every single day now tip number three and I can't believe how many times I've said this but I'm going to say it again because I don't see a lot of people using this tip if you want a job you have got to be willing to talk to people basically Network or it could be at a networking event or it could just be on LinkedIn let let me give you an example at one of the previous companies that I was working at there was somebody who messaged me on LinkedIn and he was having a discussion with me on one of the campaigns we had just run he was giving me his take on it why it worked why it didn't work in his opinion as a user we had a good exchange and at the end of it he mentioned that he was interested in applying for a role at that company and if something came up to let him know now unfortunately at that point we didn't have any openings but when an opening did come up and he applied for it I remember his name and I told HR to process it at least from my side eventually to cut the story short he did get a job we did hire him and he did a brilliant job and the reason why I wanted to push him forward not because he had the strongest portfolio no that wasn't the case it was for two reasons the first reason is I realized he was willing to hustle for that job he didn't sit and assume that he would just apply and he'd get through he was actually trying to make connections he was trying to talk to people in the company to get an idea of what it was like and to try and build a relationship with people in the company and the second point which I actually realized is he was genuinely interested in the company which you can make out by the way he held the conversation right so here's the takeaway if you see a job you like or if you see a company you like that's a licensed sponsor that offers sponsorship very often what is stopping you from reaching out to them reach out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn talk to them about the role the company anything you have in common strike up a conversation tell them you're interested prove through your conversations that you know your stuff also try talking to the recruiting manager so even if they don't have an opening for that specific role that you're interested in maybe the recruiting manager will keep you in mind the next time around and when you reach out to these people they may reply to you they may not but the bottom line is you have nothing to lose and absolutely everything to gain and tip number four up skill whenever you can what skills you need honestly depend on your role but it isn't that really difficult to find out if you want to find out what skills are appreciated or coveted in your role it's very simple go over to LinkedIn and look at four or five openings for the role that you're interested in and you'll see in a lot of them that similar courses or skill sets are mentioned it'll be one or two of these courses and it's always really good if you can go do these courses and then add them back to your resume if you don't find any direct course that you can possibly do look for related courses they can always give you a leg up let me give you an example if you work in social media marketing you can always consider doing a course in SC CEO because it's not directly related to social media marketing but it's always helpful to have and an absolutely great place to learn skills a skill share which is phenomenal if you want to learn anything and I will leave a link to this in the description below now the final point and this one is really really important the new Visa changes mentioned that in order to be eligible for a skilled worker visa the job that offers you sponsorship needs to offer you at least 38,700 now here's the thing that rule comes into effect in Spring 2024 which means that even though today a lot of openings that I'm going to show you will not meet that salary threshold you will still be eligible to apply for a skilled worker visa with these jobs as long as you apply for that Visa before the spring of 2024 and because it's obviously going to get a lot more difficult once salary threshold increases if i r I would seize the opportunity and go crazy applying for jobs until spring and with that let's dive into the jobs as usual we have the healthcare jobs we have tech jobs and the mixed bag which covers jobs across all Industries starting off with Healthcare roles the first role is for a dentist at aera Dental the orders of St John's
