off i want to apologize if you hear any weird sounds in the background it is not my kids for once although you might hear a scream here and there but we live close to an air force base and i think they're doing some sort of maneuvers or something today so i am hearing just lots of rumbling going around so i hope it's not too much of a distraction but um i wanted to mention that on the forefront in case you can hear it so i am also excited for this video because it's a collaboration with my sweet friend megan over at panties and salt and if you haven't checked out her channel go over and check out her channel it is amazing megan is a homeschooling mama of six kids and she has stair step kids like i do they're just a little bit older but she has so many good things on her channel not only homeschooling but home making so she is a great cook i i wish i could just go over to her house for dinner every night because she is an amazing cook and she just has a lot of wisdom to share and i love gleaning wisdom from her so again if you have not checked out her channel go and check it out i will leave her channel linked down in the description box below so thank you megan for collaborating with me on this so today megan and i are gonna share toddler things i am going to share what's inside my toddler bins and megan is going to share kind of different things about tot schooling and different things like that so so make sure after this video go check out megan's okay toddler busy bins one of the most often asked questions that i get is how do you keep your toddler busy while you are doing school with your older kids and it's not easy you guys like i'm gonna share with you what i do but still every day is different [Laughter] and you can see kind of a glimpse of that in my toddler's day in the life video that i will link down below i kind of show you a little bit on how we do taught school with her and then um kind of what she does after that so i do top school very first thing with her um and then i do schooling with my older kids um and so then she just kind of does what she wants she'll play with these for a while and then she'll go and she'll do whatever she wants so if you want to kind of see how we kind of juggle that then i'll leave that linked down below for you i also am going to leave down below my first video about my toddler busy bins and so like i said this is my updated video for this so i have a whole other video about what used to be inside these i change these out about every honestly like whenever i feel it needs to be changed so um in this case i changed it for our second semester of the school year but sometimes they can last all year long sometimes i have to change them a little bit earlier based on you know maybe she didn't like the toys that were in there or it just wasn't keeping her busy for very long so it just really depends normally i try to do it about once a semester but like i said it just depends on my child and just like for you it will depend on your child so without any further ado i am going to turn the camera around and i'm going to show you what we've got in the bins all right you guys so here are my toddler busy bins so i wanted to show you i have these and this is just this is just paper right here um that i printed out for my printer monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday um i guess in no particular order um and then i wanted to show you this this is kind of where i keep all of the extra stuff so everything that was in here before went in here and then there are some other things in there that i keep in there too and so then i just keep this in our school room on one of those like cubby ikea shelves um and this fits perfectly i got this at target it's the 13 inch like weave basket thing i'll try to find a link and link it down below but it fits perfectly in those ikea shelves um and then it's kind of out of sight and i don't lose all the things in between you know switching these things out and so these i got at michael's and i will leave those linked down below they're usually on sale which is really great they're like craft paper um storage stuff so i am gonna open these babies up and show you what's inside okay so the first one here is monday and what we have here we have some um i think these are called magniforms they're kind of like magnetized but they're magniforms and i just have a few we have a whole bunch of these but i just put a few in here so that way she can play and be creative we even have a set that where like you can build houses so like this can go into these and so you could put you know set a house there or this is actually a treat but it has different models and stuff that you can kind of put together so i just stuck this tree in here and she's now three so these will be really good for her this i got over at the target dollar spot and it is kind of a magnet board i will show you so basically how it works is or how it how it's supposed to be played is that you've got all of these things and then you've got a magnet um pen kind of attached here and then you go put as many balls into these as it says so like once you put one ball in here so maybe we'll try to get some out you know and then two and three and four um i don't expect her to completely do that yet mostly i just want her to just kind of see that she can move these balls around and i think it'll just kind of keep her busy for just a bit i got this at the target dollar spot somewhere around the beginning of the school year they have really good stuff like this and then the only other thing i have in this first bin are these now these are little like pegboard type things and the way that it works i got this on amazon the way this works he has a bunch of different sheets to choose from she puts the sheet the sheets down on here and then she matches the colors of the pegboards and they click into there really nicely very easily and so she puts the orange one here they even have you can kind of see it in here a little like googly eye one and you can put a googly eye there and so this is really great hand eye coordination it's really great color matching and then she makes this like really pretty picture she loves these she always asks for this one so i'm excited to um have her start using this in one of her busy bins i will link this one down below because i did get that one on amazon and that's it for monday now in tuesday's busy bin let's see here this one we've got some stickers stickers are always a hit they're always an easy fast way to get um a toddler just kind of sitting if your toddler has trouble pulling these stickers off still then if you pull off i'm not gonna be able to do it with one hand but if you pull off the outside paper of the stickers like this then the sticker will be left and it's a lot more easier for them to grab it with their little hands um because they can feel it and so if your toddler is still having trouble with the stickers then i definitely recommend to do that and then it helps just make it a little bit easier for her and then here i just got this from the target dollar spot too and it's basically just a notebook for her to put all of her stickers then here i have two little bins again you got these at the target dollar spot and then um just some tweezers here for her to go and put her blueberries these are blueberries um go put her blueberries into the other pail there and i got this idea from abby over at rooted in rest um i know that they do beyond five in a row for their little one and so um i thought this was a really good idea we're going to be doing um blueberries for sale soon with her and so i just got these as kind of a kind of an introduction to all of that um the next thing we have on here in here is fairly new for her i'm gonna have to pull it out let me see and it's a little puzzle it's a melissa and doug puzzle again i will leave this link down below oh gosh guys this is hard with one hand it's a bear family and then you've got the clothes and the faces and everything for papa bear here you know and then you've got everything here for baby bear and then you've got other things here for mama bear and so yeah so the this is really neat she actually this is fairly new for her she actually played with it a lot today and she's really enjoying it we are going to start doing before five in a row i believe with her um and one of the very first book on there is jessie bear what what will you wear or something like that and we read that today and then i pulled this out for her and she was just so excited it was just a neat time to spend with her so and that is all of tuesday's now we have wednesday and this one is a little heavy because i've got a few different things in here that are a little bit heavier um this again i got at the target dollar spot target dollar spot you guys is so good for all of these little things um and they are just felt numbers and it comes with a um shoe lace in here and if you can see it's already kind of laced in there and they just go around and lace it i believe it's all the way to number nine and she just goes around and she'll lace the the numbers it's such a great fine motor activity and then here again target dollar spot you guys target dollar spot is jam my gym so here we've got magnets um magnet letters and then she just goes through and matches these um you can make words but she's not that far advanced yet but she loves to go through and just match all the letters so we've got a magnet board here and the magnets and then here this is from melissa and doug and how it works is there are poles here and you stick the poles on here and then you have all of these different kind of cards that you put into this slot in the back and then she can go through and match all of those she can do that sometimes but sometimes it's a little bit too advanced for her so she'll just go through and put the beads into the poles and she is completely satisfied with that so i put this in her busy bag busy bin because i i often forget to have her play with it and so i put i wanted to put it in here so that way i knew that at least one day a week she was getting a chance to play with that one and that is all for wednesday and now for thursday we have some more stuff in here um these are just little kind of foam beads that i created with my cricut machine i have a whole video of crafts that i did for the kids using my cricut machine so i will leave that linked in the description box below so you can check it out if you've got a cricut machine or a silhouette machine or some sort of cutting machine then these are super easy to make so she basically she just takes the pipe cleaner that's in here and she'll lace these through and then she just kind of makes a bracelet or something like that um so but it does keep her busy for quite some time and then over here i got a felt book again from the target dollar spot it's got just different things numbers um toothpaste soap um wash your hands so it's got kind of like play water right there here it's got comb your hair and there is a little felt comb i keep seeing it floating around the house so i don't know i might let her have a real comb or something um so she can do that and then tying your shoe um so yeah this is just kind of a fun little thing it might only keep her busy for about 10 minutes but hey that's 10 minutes well worth it and then here i got this from walmart i believe or amazon i can't remember i think you can find it both places i think i got it from walmart and this is not melissa and doug i believe so but i will find the link down below and it's basically just a puzzle it's a letter puzzle an abc puzzle um and she can just go through and put the pieces in the puzzle there's not really anything fancy about this one but she really does love to do this so i put that in there for her for thursday and last but not least we have a friday and in here i've got just magnetic numbers if you saw my other video you know i had magnetic letters in here before um so i thought the numbers would be kind of different but she could still use it on the refrigerator or anything like that again target dollar spot here i got these actually at ikea and they're lacing beads um and they come with these shoelace strings and basically just lace the wooden beads onto the string so it's pretty neat she does love to lace things so i wanted to get a lot of activities like that for her and then this last thing is one of our favorites my mom actually got this for me for me she did get it for me she actually my mom actually got this for um adeline when um durian christmas or maybe it was her birthday her birthday is close to christmas so um so our gifts kind of get jumbled together but what it is is you push these beads down and then this is a magnet and you can go through and trace i saw this a long time ago and i had been waiting to get it for the kids and christmas and birthday just seemed like an obvious choice and the kids love to go through and press these beads down and i have to say it is therapeutic [Laughter] and so um so yeah so this is just really neat you guys like like i'm having fun just doing it right now isn't that neat so you've got uppercase on this side and you've got lowercase on this side um so it's just a fun activity so i can see her doing this a lot um we don't do this during quiet time for her because it does make a lot of noise as you can tell so so that is it you guys so that is what is inside my toddler's busy bins okay you guys well i hope that that was helpful i hope that that encouraged you and sparked some inspiration on how you can put together your toddler busy bins and if you like this video give me a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe and click the little bell
