[Music] Larry Bird from basketball which you guys have mentioned saying that if I am enjoying looking at legends which I am that I need to go ahead and take a look at someone by the name of Larry Bird so we're gonna go ahead and jump right into that you guys actually added a name to my list that I did not have so I thank you guys for that but now let's go ahead and let's let's go ahead and just see exactly what he's about let's go all right here we go so as far as who he is so this is mr. Larry Bird I just must have been a little further into his career because this obviously is like when he first maybe got into his career basketball um so let's go from that now to get a little bit of information about exactly who he is so his name is Larry Joe Bird born December 7th 1956 it's American professional basketball association an American professional basketball executive a former coach and former player and he most recently served as president of the Indiana Pacers of the NBA so let's see here as far as that he was born in Indiana he's currently 62 he's six foot nine he's really tall guy 220 pounds and he went to high school in Spring Valley or Spring Valley High in Indiana I'm sorry and he went to college Indiana State from 1976 to 1979 and then as far they made draft he was drafted in 1978 6006 pick overall by the Boston Celtics so he was with them the entire time and he played from 1979 to 1992 as a small forward and power forward but number 33 was his number and then as far as coaching and says he coached from 1997 to 2000 so cooks for quite some time too for the Indian of Indiana Pacers is who he coached for and as far as her highlights and awards it's a lot to run through so we have three-time NBA champion two-time NBA Finals MVP three-time NBA Most Valuable Player 12-time NBA all-star Wow NBA all-star game MVP nine-time all-star our first team all-star in VR I'm sorry Oh MD a second team three-time NBA all-defensive second team NBA Rookie of the Year so he had a nice rookie year three-time NBA three-point shootout champion two-time 50-40-90 Club and I know 50-40-90 I have ten someone else in 50-40-90 I know that Steph Curry is 50-40-90 as well aap appellees athlete of the year his number 33 was retired by the Celtics 50th NBA's 50th anniversary all-time team what else do we have National College Player of the Year so even in college he was doing his thing he's got number thirty-three retired also by Indiana State and as a coach as a coach we have NBA coach of the year invading all start game head coach in 98 for both of those and as an executive as well it really executive of the year 2012 so everything he has done he is an outstanding job back let's see here as far to go with his NBA career statistics he's got 20 1791 so 24 points per game rebounds 8900 74 so 10 rebounds per game assists we have 5695 was six six point three a verge as far as his assistant for game with that and then what else do we have he is in a college basketball hall of fame it since 2006 and we have also medals for the Olympic Games in 1992 in Barcelona he got gold with the men's basketball team and then the World University Games in 1977 he got gold as well for men's basketball so this highly decorated NBA legend here definitely has one heck of a resume so with that being said let's let him go ahead and show us some what else there is to know about him while he's in action on the court [Applause] [Music] you say no way [Music] Larry Bird is first three-point contest instead of sympathy second [Applause] that's a three-point contest and how many did it say that he won because I think it said the dream let's go back real quick yes so he's three-time or the NBA three-point shootout champion Wow and he was just making them like nothing like nothing and you get what $10,000 [Music] [Music] [Music] opens is all wait for a solid shot just amazing it seems like he's always watching in the floor like for the next leg he's always ready laughing it just seems so easy for him like a reflex let's go back I want to hear what he had [Applause] and every told all of our enemies and more nights last able to cover the plate this one web and that in every one is recommended for 27 points with his left hand and that is not his dominant hand oh my goodness a baby Wow no setup know anything just straight into it oh my god oh wow look at this favor finish the play like um I could be wrong I don't know but I was like he just seems like the captain of the team he just has this whole like presence and confidence and I could be wrong but that's just what it looks like like he's just kind of like the captain and everyone is just captivated by his you know confidence and presence out there on the court how do you even achieve that pattern accurately [Music] my key control of the whole thing Larry just hit what would have been the game when chef Casey called timeout now I came back the bench and he was a little upset he looks at that you said you guys when I come back at the time I did the same thing like he was just clicking or tapping or bounce it correctly teammate without even catch it [Applause] hey just know where his teammates are I have all times oh my gosh how's the world I'm just like I need to pick my mouth and just my whole face up off the floor at the way he's doing these passes like there's no way anyone should be able to be this accurate oh hey just think it's really competitive and like these things clutch my Heath clutch for real I've only seen a few so far that I watched make a shot like that I know I've seen Jordan do it I seen Kobe do it like that is a whole nother level of accuracy when you're going behind the court behind the basket behind the board and shooting over and making it he is hard he went back to always in heart [Applause] my car back okay so I have to say that someone down on the comments said that him into magic arrivals and at this point after watching him and I'm not even finished but I can see why they're rivals because he is good I did it he's good and he's a great passer - oh my goodness what the competition is when you too much event [Music] mostly nothing and indicators that's what I was talking about oh my goodness why he just has that killer instinct that all the great players have he had it he definitely has me look at him the hustle boom [Music] [Applause] the authorities accomplishment [Music] Wow the black guy oh my goodness now they put his whole body on the line opening clip keep slide across the court [Music] [Music] crowd goes wild [Music] [Applause] by [Applause] did not effectively [Applause] Wow [Music] they have different personalities now there are other films but their value system oh thanks oh oh look out back and forth [Music] oh oh okay [Music] they were just one look like they went back and forth every single time they met on foot [Applause] all the while Oh Larry Bird's still be a relentless on defense though and amazing on happen Wow back-to-back they went Oh what wow what a sea of people out there welcome everything the way I think of our usual headwind I just non-stop doesn't take any plays arms basketball but more important how [Applause] I've dedicated my life basketball I've dedicated my life to the Boston Celtics my fastball career is officially over and I had a blast I mean you and I say Thank You Boston and I amazing I'm not even playing ow oh I love this video oh my goodness number 33 pretty sure when they retired his jersey from the Celtics and well-deserved retirement of the jersey like very well deserved Wow I think that first of all this was very well put together
