good morning guys it is 8 12 in the morning starting on my very chaotic day today or on instagram actually this morning i asked you all if you wanted to see the first 24 hours with a new placement and the very very very big majority of you said yes so here we are we just dropped miss a off at school and then i have the newest little here with me we are going to go grab some breakfast and then she has a doctor's appointment at 10 o'clock we do have to have a new placement scene within 24 hours i believe is the time frame of coming into care and then we need to go to the store and get a gab of things because little lady came with one bag with two outfits and two pairs of pajamas so definitely not enough to get her by we have no toys she can't share with miss a on some toys but she is much younger or three years younger so we want to find some toys that are perfect for her age range and yeah so here we go it's gonna be chaotic it's gonna be a busy busy day are you talking okay all right guys i will check in with you guys in just a bit okay so we are in the doctor's office parking lot i'm actually waiting on levi he's leaving work a little bit early so that he can come with us we just left walmart i'm trying not to show her face we move that a little bit are you singing there's your blanket so we just left walmart and i got just the bare necessities i got a box of diapers some wipes a curtain rod a blackout curtain like four or five shirts matching dresses with miss a because that was what miss a requested she wants to match a little lady here um i got two hair bows because i cannot pass those up what else did we get a like clothing storage like a plastic container for clothing storage just because we do not have a dresser and i'm really not concerned with purchasing a dry search just another thing to really dust and to climb on baby so that total so far was 133 dollars which i thought was going to be a lot more so i don't know where your cup is it's in the back hold on so i thought that total was going to be a lot more thankfully it wasn't um within the first 24 hours like i said that they come into care we have to get a physical on them or take them to a doctor's visit so we are in the parking lot now waiting for that appointment i think i already said that um and then within coming into care in my county we do have to have a 24-hour in-home visit so at two o'clock we will have someone from children's division in our home to do a walk-through check on little lady and then at some point we also today will have a meeting with the caseworker usually the caseworker the guardian outline if there is one the caseworkers manager anyone that's involved in the case parents and then myself and levi will have what they call a tdm and that's a meaning of kind of like what the plan is for parents and reunification and all those things so the first day that kids come into care is hectic i am so thankful for my work they have been extremely extremely extremely gracious and i'm not gonna i i cry and i tear up because you know that's not a common thing in a workplace and i'm just very grateful for my work family um so i took today off to get all the things done her settled in so waiting on levi we're gonna head into the appointment and then i will catch up with you guys okay so i wanted to sit down kind of catch everyone up to speed so i got home from the store and the doctor's office i was at the doctor's office for way too long um but we got home about 11 30 this morning and then we had what was called or what is called the tbm and that was me and levi and biological mom um caseworker investigator and a little bit of everyone on that call and basically what that is is to determine what is the plan going forward what the next step looks like for reunification all of the things that was an hour and 15 minutes it's a very long phone call um little lady is upstairs sleeping i was going to go pick up miss a from school but our caseworker is coming here at like 2 30 and right now it's about 1 40 and it's like a 20 minute drive to school so i just i don't want to rush so i'm just like breathing i wanted to i said that i was going to kind of share what i purchased leave i moved everything up into her room um where she is napping but i don't think there's anything down here i can show you the first 24 hours of care if i could sum them up in three words it would be chaos expensive and a learning experience so three words or four words when kids come into care and they have the clothes on their back and a few outfits it can get costly now one of the things that we bought her because of the meeting we just had i don't foresee her being here long term so a lot of the things that we cannot pass on like i purchased some blackout curtains a new carton rod so anything that i purchased today that she will not use or we will not need in the next you know after she's gone such as like the blackout curtains we have curtains in that room but they're sheer and they actually go with the room um so like we can return the curtains we can return kind of like those unknown things that aren't specific to her and kind of recoup some of those funds let me tell you one thing that is so different from having a baby and then taking it into foster placement is when you have a baby you typically have a baby shower with all of your family and friends and you get a gob of clothes and blankets and diapers and wipes and um teething rings and swaddles and all the things whereas in a advanced replacement they come with the clothes on the back and that is up to the foster parent now my family and my friends did throw me a foster shower i had two of them i should say through levi and i have lost her shower and a lot of those things we have used especially for miss a but there are still some things that we needed to purchase so yeah just right now i'm decompressing we're waiting for the caseworker and i will check in after that okay so we are past the 24 hour mark but yesterday evening kind of just like here was the plan and then here's what happened it was just chaotic so about three o'clock after a caseworker left i left to go and pick up miss a from school and then we were going to go finish shopping for little lady and then i got about halfway to school and i got a phone call from our caseworker that said her supervisor wanted us to take little lady into the emergency room and just have a few tests ran so we went about four o'clock is when we arrived and we waited and we waited and we waited and we waited at the emergency room we finally got home about 8 30 last night and our case worker she sat with us the entire time at the emergency room so i just want to pull up my camera and make her feel uncomfortable um and i also wanted to respect little lady's privacy so on the way home we stopped neither one of us had ate we were both cranky we were both hungry we're both tired i pulled into mcdonald's she kept begging for french fries so we got some french fries and ate all the way home whenever we got home as we were going upstairs she was just like dozing off and i'm like you know what girlfriend i just changed your diaper before we left the hospital i am just putting you to bed as you are so she laid down in her clothes that she'd been in all day and i felt zero ounces of guilt about it because like i am just we were both spent and she laid down rolled over and was immediately out so our night was just pure chaos right now i didn't have a chance yesterday to fill out daycare paperwork so i'm going to do that real quick and then get myself ready eat some breakfast and then head upstairs and get miss a and little lady ready for school hopefully today is like a normal day you know we are at school and i'm at work come home eat dinner and like have our nighttime routine we don't have any appointments today we have nothing going on so i am excited for just some normal yeah that was our 24 hours and it's been so chaotic i did not get to finish up her shopping i have not got to show you her room because it's not done so i'm going to make like a separate video for that today has just been actually yesterday has just been absolutely crazy but she has been a really good baby she has had her moments where she's a little bit cranky and irritable there's a lot of change happening in her life um yeah pray for us today i'm going to go ahead and edit this video and get this video up so that you guys can see it i know there's not a whole lot of footage in here but it's i thought that the first 24 hours would be a little bit different i pictured it at home i'm going to go ahead in this video here fill out some paperwork and get off to work in school so i hope you guys enjoy i will put up a second video going into what we have purchased for her and all of that so be on the lookout for that as well thank you guys for watching and i will see you guys in my next video bye guys little lady let's sit down i'm gonna do right here okay now i'm gonna have wings you want braids okay let me see the brush and i'll do hers real quick and then i can do your braids okay does she need one okay okay i have one i'm actually gonna put all of her hair come on rose go [Music] you
