[Music] alright weather today guys going wolves here hosts Memorial Day and will get left and get everything left going on the cop first of the year so what we're going to make we're gonna make some corn some some good old corn chowder [Music] pretty man bacon put a good off naptime's up a little bit that's a nice chicken stock eating up back here cut the celery so you got seen a lot of celery to cut the dice up correct on strips hey they would cut them in half one of the one of the parts of the Trinity onions and bell peppers we've got red bell peppers that peel these onions that cut it down don't go all the way through so Ronnie all right so we got some that's the potatoes but that's I guess smaller dice later guys my potatoes bigger so my buddy George will grab this he said I like it smaller dice you know you know what I agree with childhood sometimes you get those potatoes take up take up the whole cup of soup a couple couple chunks is my favorite Yukon Gold this is real easy just you know get your vegetables prep this soup let's throw together in minutes that once once those potatoes are caught [Music] as I dig down from simply said was even before the north in Florida so better get some hot weather down there with we mean 10 oh cool this up here so far okay I'll tell you this stop milking milking the cob to get a lotta look at that difference that's all flavor right there and now we're going to save our carbs we're gonna put them in the soup [Music] it was crazy what we do for flavor but trust me and all it's worth it they has are all bits of flavor [Music] almost there [Music] [Music] so that do is I put a little bit of potato in there now with their mining and going to cook that down another friend of mine told me his father was Mark Linfield to give me the he gave me the lobster Lucia recipe and he said that's his father's secret was had some of the potatoes exact quarter inch dice he'd had those head first and that was like his thickening potato and the second batch was protection sometimes those early that early bashful like mashed potatoes dissolve the Salvador and to the soup [Music] all right he was very little you mean you can you can even go without flour if you want I'm just gonna put a little bit just kind of absorb the bacon grease if I wasn't gonna if I wasn't going to add flour I wouldn't know why use so much bacon grease but that Allah not absorb the grease so you don't have a greasy soup all right it had the the red goes that gives it nice player sometimes I like to put on a sweet potato in there also I didn't feel like going to the grocery store today talking what the restaurant default so add a little bit of and a little bit of seasoning all always as you're going ahead Kelly kind of stuck with this because you don't overseason use that is the final result you want just a little bit of uh a little bit of flour like I said just to absorb not so much as a thicker of what to absorb the bacon grease later this whole pot of soup this could be like four tablespoons of flour took the rawness out of the flower just a little bit whatever if it's not a little bit to start work on the lumps watch your bottom at this point make sure the Oh cuz there you turn it down a little bit it was scorch the bottom at this stage better recipes new tail [Music] we're gonna know all right well the numbers are about a little bit of hot water into it water just to thin it up that's kind of good sister to walk what we learn cook it down a little bit for our cars in my buddy Victor you read the daddy Jack's down and not be felon Texas we've got Victor's wood grill now up in the Capel be used to dry these out on the back of the stove the cops it's smoked smoked salmon was it for the perforated pen with the cobs underneath with a perforated pan on top of salmon on top pretty ingenious [Music] as the pitch that's your red pepper all right I'll put that right on the back burner let's set one up potatoes are done supers ready and Holly is it better the second day when you cure the pot all the flavors are released then it comes all back together when it gets cold and then it releases all the flavor all buried together so we'll be right back back back back at the ranch and soup let's try I'd say we're about 3/4 of the way there with the potatoes [Music] so now what I'll do is in an ad in this corner we don't want to overcook if we can help it and just that's sweetness is going to give us so much flavor and then what we'll do is we leave those cops in there overnight and you know again you know that it'll release the suck up a bunch of the flavor they release it most cops take a good hour so you know when you let it sit [Music] but it's especially when it's cooling down it's still cooking and I'll tell you why they give us so much flavor all right you're slow turn the fire down low and give it about 10 to 15 minutes and cut it off and then we'll come back we'll show you though presentation you know with you know with flour without flour if you're gluten intolerant you want to use vegetable stock instead chicken stock for vegan no one had the bacon no use bacon is the butt is even if it just has the natural just a straight vegetable stock corn chowder is still great we'll be right back [Music] red eye gravy as they say so but you know what I like I like white shadow we'll cream in it so we're just going to uh this is going to be tomorrow night soup recipe anyway and we're just gonna put a little bit a lot Raven I mean [Music] here's we're going to take the front [Music] you just a little bit more salt pepper we're gonna pull punches begin with we're gonna colors beautiful color [Music] that green onion adds a lot to it what I think so huh I think so since the whole thing right off [Music] and a smoky flavor in a bacon I was born to sweet is it warm [Music] I think we hit another one but in another one out of the park instead of Jacksonville what blues New England corn chowder we're getting a pool sweet potato in it with chicken corn chowder whatever floats your boat it has a beautiful downtown to London come visit us deep-water port will receive us on East Coast submarines come in beefed up cargo ships come in and unload the beer we'll be building a staging ground for offshore wind bill would go fine offshore and chat ferry boats I 95 couple are coming right through but tell you what gonna be major construction on that bridge is some a Goldstar bridge so what come up as a beautiful place to visit Mystic Seaport all the islands that guys who wear blue FLT on camera could do with Agia peace [Music]
