NEW ENGINE!!! Monte Carlo gets a V8!!

hey everyone and welcome to the third pedal and the Monte Carlo is back it's been ten months but this car is a whole lot different than it was before it looks the same cosmetically apart from the dual exhaust as you can see one on the left side and one on that side but she's also got a rear sway bar new shocks front and rear and the most exciting part is under here she's no longer got the 4.3 liter v6 she's now got a 350 cubic-inch v8 it's pushing 355 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque it's got a what they call the mile - cam it's like a 280 profile but uh it's got headers everything holy 750 double pumper for a carburetor new radiator and we had to get a different fan shroud because obviously the engines longer than the v6 so we had to get a v8 fan shroud and it's got we got 305 engine mounts which bolt directly onto the engine and the frame but that is not the only thing it also has a th 350 from a Corvette from a 74 Corvette you couldn't really see it there but um I guess we'll see all this thing sounds now Stephanie definitely sounds like Montecarlo should now this engine was a crate engine got it from Phoenix engines so far it's pretty good I put about but um past break-in period which was a thousand miles I think a foot 2,000 miles on this engine and she's running good car is really dirty because I I've been getting the most out of it before winter comes as you can see Falls here let's go ahead and see how she sounds here it's a foreign exhaust system this car has Hooker Headers full-length which go into stainless steel dolls which go back to Pike Street Pro mufflers I'll try and get a look at them here and those obviously come out behind the rear tire thinking about getting a chrome tip just make it look nicer but as now it still looks pretty good and the one thing I did forget to mention is the rear differential it is it is the factory differential in this car which is a seven and a half inch GM differential but now it's got 373 positraction and we're probably we are going to take out the three seven threes and put in something more along the lines of three two three because 60 mile an hour right now is at 4,000 rpm and so you can't really take this many places with the speed limit over 55 if you don't want the engine screaming the whole time but overall it was definitely a good option to get rid of the v6 and now the v6 for this car I still own I still have it I'm gonna probably rebuild it and I'd like to put it put it in something else maybe another Monte Carlo or something but anyways thank you for watching that's just a quick little walk around of the Monte Carlo because I haven't had it in ten months and thought I'd make a video on it since it's back now anyways thank you for watching and bye
