New Blender Addon for Generating Crowds | Population

we have seen some craft simulation add-ons in the past but this one right here seems like it could have a lot of potential because so far it is one of the most impressive ones this new crowd simulation add-on is called population from Big production the developers behind some of the most popular blender animals like cloudscapes gopos like textures grass played vegetation and many others so you know the quality is gonna be great this tool allows you to use very excessive characters animations textures and other stuff so right on the bat this add-on comes with 48 3D photo scan characters that can be used for different projects so naturally they are divided into different categories to allow you to try different things these categories are casual business and Sport this means that they have three discount real people in the studio to get these results using photogrammetry and Laser Technology which is efficient and less expensive the great thing is that you are not limited to the initial textures or shaders that the add-on comes with because you have access to a Smart Shader that the developers provide to allow you to create different variations of the same person in fact you can create a crowd with the same character and you won't notice it unless you pay close attention which is great the characters come with up to 8K PBR textures that include of course the views normals roughness and bit occlusion subsurface scattering and specularity on a side note according to my knowledge none of the other add-ons that provide populations and crowds have actually implemented subsurface gas battery which is a plus and this PBR textures are optimized of course to work with cycles and EV which is very important so if you're concerned about performance or quality the animal comes with the option to choose between high or low poly characters from 4 000 faces up to 20 000 faces per character this is important because some might not have enough processing power to handle Big C's with environments trees people vehicles and so on so this is important this is important because it will reduce the pressure on your machine on the other hand if you're looking for something that looks realistic for close-up shots then this is possible as well with the high definition models when it comes to animations they are created using motion capture with more than 50 unique movements this is great because it allows developers to create these animations at a lower cost bringing you something accurate and most importantly something that can simulate real life animations inside offices streets or gems so the characters can move sit whether it be on the chair or on the ground and perform a variety of tasks that you can see in daily life talking about crowds which is I think one of the most important things that you can expect from an adult like this from what I can see the population add-on offers a diverse range of options whether you want your crowd to move in a certain direction follow a curve Gather in certain areas of a surface or format Grid or whatever furthermore you can customize your crowd inside a stadium and control their positions according to your needs of course I left out some features and some interesting things about the add-on so if you want to take a look at it yourself you will find the necessary links in the description if you guys found this video useful please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel to stay updated with videos like this thank you guys very much watching and I'll see you and the next one
