NEVER Play Hide & Seek With Elmo

[Music] hey guys it's Jesse V and I literally have safety pins on my shirt they're completely real and I'm kind of afraid of them it's also on like this side makes me feel kind of cool but like if you hug me too hard so as you can tell by the title of today's video we're gonna be talking about Elmo sometimes I totally just can't believe some of the topics I cover on my channel I mean they're just so bizarre and random but you guys know me you know what I like to do take something from childhood and talk about the scary parts so if you're new here and you're hoping to see some Sesame Street and some cute Elmo and other puppet things you came to the wrong place because that is not what we do here almost a year ago I did a video on Cookie Monster you guys seem to love that I think it hit a million views So today we're going to be talking about Elmo all the dark stuff all the creepy facts the Lost episodes some haunted Elmo toys we're gonna cover it all I also just want to remind you right let's get into some Elmo stuff let's start out with some simple history in case some of you aren't familiar with this red furry Beast Elmo is a furry red Muppet monster made in 1979 with an orange nose who lives on Sesame Street he is self-described as three and a half years old and almost always refer to himself in the third person he quickly became extremely popular I don't know about you guys but I've always found his voice to be extremely annoying it's like high pitched loud and actually I have one of his theme songs stuck in my head right now you know the one from Elmo's World Elmo's World I feel like Ty can hear me downstairs and he's probably like what the heck is she doing so let's get into some of the creepier facts the first one is that they came out with a Elmo hide and seek toy now hide and seek is already a creepy game to begin with okay think of how many horror movies have hide and seek in it basically one player hides Elmo while the others use the clue cards to find him so pretty straightforward you take your Elmo and hide him somewhere in the house that's not that creepy the creepy part comes in where Elmo can actually talk to you while you're looking for him he says things like I am here I am here come and find me so he's like helping guide the people to the hiding space and I don't know why but I find that so Eerie there was this one really freaky review about this toy that I read online there was this user who talked about how his friend got him this Elmo hide and seek toy as a joke and because he wasn't actually going to use it he just put the toy away in storage well weird things apparently started happening in the middle of the night he would suddenly wake up by the distant sound of Elmo saying come and find me I am here and when he went up to look Elmo would be hiding at a completely random place in his house that he did not put him so he immediately got rid of that toy was totally freaked out and actually there have been other people online who have complained about this possible glitch where even after they've turned off the Elmo toy it'll randomly start talking again I am here that's literally so scary this next one is a creepypasta it's called Elmo knows where you live so the Creepypasta is about this little boy who loved to watch the show Elmo's World this show premiered on November 16th in 1998. in each episode Elmo explores a different topic in his imaginary world it's basically rooms filled with his weird crayon drawings so in this story this kid cannot wait to watch Elmo's World he never misses an episode he's constantly watching it one day his mother walked into the room right when the show was about to end as Alma was saying his goodbyes he waved and said and remember Elmo knows where you live and then the screen turned black the mother obviously found this to be very strange she had never heard him say that before she wondered if maybe it was something they recently added but still that doesn't make a ton of sense the days following weird things started happening in their lives like knocks at the door in the middle of the night things being moved around the house and muffled laughter that no one could find the source of so the mother was really spooked and eventually stopped letting her son watch Elmo's World and once he stopped all this strange things and the house stopped as well so I just found that really creepy especially because I used to watch Elmo's World the next thing we're going to be talking about is a classic one that everyone probably knows Tickle Me Elmo this Elmo doll came out in 1996 and immediately gained popularity for some strange reason I mean my parents even got one for my sister and I they were like flying off the shelves people literally got trampled in Walmart when there would be a restock of this toy it was all over the news people really wanted to get their hands on it and they would do anything to make that happen and if you search this toy up online it's probably the most popular one for glitches and scary stories and people being creeped out by it there are reviews of it turning on in the middle of the night and it's literally Elmo laughing and shaking other people said that Elmo's voice has warped into this low creepy man's voice like imagine Elmo usually laughs like this and then one night he's like oh man some pictures of Tickle Me Elmo without his fur actually went viral it's like this robotic looking creepy thing and it's terrifying the next thing I want to talk about is the Alamo tree well that was violent I think my neighbors heard that one while exploring a state forest in Massachusetts I'm Canadian I don't know what I'm saying I have to ask Ty Ty how do you pronounce Massachusetts I will teach you mass mass sits that's your two sit there I will just sit in right here I will say the one word okay Massachusetts I think you Massachusetts no in front of the camera you can't do it Master chew sits there you go okay I'm just not gonna say it now you know where I'm talking about we're just gonna I'm so sorry if I offended anybody it's actually I'm not purposely trying to pronounce it wrong I actually have problems I cannot pronounce words properly while exploring a state forest a hiker stumbled upon a rather bizarre scene a tree covered in Elmo dolls apparently some of them were just regular Elmo plushies but a bunch of others were the Tickle Me Elmo kind that still had batteries in them and although this tree covered in Elmo's was very unsettling the people who found it didn't think it was like a memorial site because you might think that when you first see it but apparently it's not when the hikers got home they tried to find the origin of this Elmo tree they searched it up online tried to find out who did it but soon realized this Elmo tree was quite a mystery since the tree is located somewhere off the trail and about six miles deep in the forest they think the weird collection of Elmo dolls was meant to be discovered by hikers and to possibly give them a scare the fact that it's so far out in the forest is very unsettling and lastly we're going to be talking about an Elmo episode that really scared kids it is called if Elmo had teeth this was a real episode so this came out in 1996 and in this episode Elmo starts to sing a song the song is basically him wishing he had teeth and how he would take care of them if he did and then it showed like another version of himself with teeth and I think kids weren't used to it so seeing this version of Elmo kind of took them by surprise and apparently this song won an Emmy Award in 1997. what but yeah kids did not like seeing Elmo with teeth and I kind of agree with that anyways though guys those
