so um worked most of the day in the office today and uh what's happening right now is uh james jr and i are going to help the guys out in gold and on a wreck um looks like it's going to be a three-truck job and greg's already out there and as well as rick doing one other job so they're doing that this afternoon and then tomorrow morning at eight o'clock we're gonna all be out there working on this other wreck and um yeah it should be some fun been nice to get out of the office and um we're going out there to get it done so it should be cold weather out in golden right now and also we're expecting bad weather for a few days like snow so i'm kind of thinking that we should maybe plant ourselves there for a while and uh maybe there'll be some more work and rick's there a lot of times all alone and he has um mark with them but lately mark's been going to upgrade his driver's license to uh class three and he's not around much so rick rick lotz has been on his own so we're gonna go over there and help him out a little bit maybe buy a lunch or breakfast or something and cheer him up a bit and work this recovery with him and that'll be fun yes sir we're gonna be there and doing the wreck so this truck's down a bank leaning on an angle probably 20 30 feet from the roadway and it's got a load of oranges in it and they want to make sure that the reefers on and it's they're staying good and uh also the truck looks like it's leaning against the trees and i'm really looking forward to working with junior on this job usually junior comes up and does uh hand bombing with us so this is an actual recovery job where he's going to be helping out doing the recovery and we're going to be doing the controls and uh yeah you can run the controls a little bit too okay so he gets to have some hands-on experience with the wrecker and uh doing winching yeah so it's going to be good i'm really going to enjoy you being there james thanks you're welcome so we're going to get into a motel tonight um all the other guys will be there they'll be finished their wreck so voila grey girl uh rick and probably brandon will be around some of his crew guys so yeah yeah kind of a little get together yeah we are good to go just left the gas station or whatever the hell it is truck stop okay so i think we're gonna start setting 200 acres or something like that for a million bucks that big building and everything yeah that building would get taken down though right or is it still good nope so uh we're up real early six o'clock uh it's really five o'clock hope time and um a little bit of breakfast we're just heading out to the wreck right now james junior's videotaping and uh we're gonna get to pull out here get our overalls on and work here on and brandon and his crew are setting up traffic control right now so uh i promise we'd be here at eight o'clock and uh we're right on time so uh hopefully we get this thing licked up and out of here and then uh we might have to we might be able to get a good night's sleep tonight minus uh four this morning which isn't too too bad but still cold and it's been snowing heavily all through the night and we're expecting snow here for another four or five days so we'll see see what the weather brings here and hopefully we get this thing out without the visibility getting too bad if the visibility gets bad we may be forced to shut down that can happen too sometimes so yeah and because we're here for four more days we can maybe get other things maybe with the one ton or with uh this truck yeah we could be driving a little truck too maybe yeah and i can drive it too yeah but after today i think we'll need one good day of rest after driving here and then going to bed late getting up really early yeah plus uh rick's really tired too he pulled a really long shift and um he's trying to sleep in a little bit today he's got a hydraulic line blown we're probably going to need him out here to help us on this wreck you know this is a fairly big recovery job and it's going to take 330 tons to pull it out i'm sure this is this is one of the reasons why we need to buy another big recovery i'll just go past the porch creek bridge there then turn in there on the right outside yeah greg just asking me where we're gonna pull off what we've got to do is pull off here somewhere and get our gear on and yeah yeah and then uh wait for uh brandon to give us the okay to come up you were talking about um buying a bigger recovery truck yeah well you can see we're using three trucks on this one job and which is fine but you know we don't really have a really good recovery truck other than the general right now and i'm kind of not one it's something i don't want to buy but i know i have to buy one and uh even talked about selling in general you know it might go to some northern community where it's not used much and uh be a good starter truck for somebody and you know i don't know if i really want to restore it it's good the way it is it'd be good for a place where you didn't use it all the time we're fairly busy company and um you know it's done us well but we have a great time we need to upgrade yeah it's time to upgrade this okay yeah we'll just go through with traffic because we've got to go turn around and come back again yeah that's fine i'll just make it share that with you guys katrina the last one was a logging truck with no logs and i believe it was a green tractor how the hell did i even get in the back of that thing to get sides yeah that's crazy let's get it done oh on the other one uh [Music] hello oh [Music] the line is still running the line was still running [Music] okay grip it's scary man all right oh oh there we go oh [Music] holy [Music] so we've got the uh tractor trailer at the yard now we can't separate it because the landing gear is broken i've locked it all up for the night and we'll come back and work on it tomorrow if there's no calls in the middle of the night sir yeah i got that
