my guest tonight is a big time hollywood star and a hell of a next door neighbor too her new movie the high note is available on vod starting friday joining us from over the fence dakota johnson hey say it yeah but it is some legs those are their legs really like savage that's what it's come to over here i know well when bush comes to shove i i don't want to put you on the spot but of all the neighbors you've had in your life and i assume you've had many am i the best one really yeah thank you i appreciate that of course that's nice of you to say i'm trying to think if i had other do have i had bad neighbors well i was on the other side when you were a kid didn't you live next to hunter thompson oh yeah oh yeah i did yeah well hunter and my dad were best friends he was like uh always at the house every night death is fantastic would he talk to you or was he in his would you have conversations with hunter thompson yeah yeah and he would always bring really bizarre gifts like bird collars or goggles or like a fishing rod did you ever have like bullets flying by the bounce house or anything you did yeah not the bounty because we didn't have a bounce house but he we used to come into the driveway at like three o'clock in the morning and shoot his gun off to let us know that he was there i mean them i was asleep i was asleep so i am easily the best neighbor is there an at oh your dog's over there yeah i started getting nervous we put some some stuff in this fence so that he wouldn't go into your yard anymore well he's welcome in our yard i'll tell you what the kids would be more than happy to that was so cute when you guys came over when jane came oh yeah when jane came over here you know um i was like i'll keep her i was thinking about your grandmother tippy hedren who still has big cats living at her house yeah when i saw that joe exotic did you watch that yes i did i would imagine that she does not approve of the joe exotic lifestyle no she does not it's hard to wear this it's one of those things it seemed fun at the beginning and now you're yeah it smells like feet it doesn't really yeah i think it came from like a bizarro runway somewhere and did you have that in your closet yes you did okay you don't have any tigers over at that house do you in here yeah they're all inside right now okay very good have you ever had roommates like have you ever been in a situation where you had to live with other people yes i'm not talking about like a boyfriend or whatever i'm talking about like a roommate i lived with my first boyfriend out of high school and he had his one night his friend he was like he's gonna sleep on the couch and then um like seven months later he was still sleeping on the couch and he also it's a long nap it's a long that's a long journey and we had like a tiny apartment we had no money i was 20 years old and and he was six foot seven and it's not like that's a cool amount of space to take up in any couch but also in any room it's so much space and so every few weeks i'd be like tobias are you gonna say goodbyes yeah and he would know tobias always stayed he stayed for a long time but i really love him he's an amazing songwriter oh you keep in touch with him yeah wow yeah he has he now has his own amazing house oh you should go crash that place for seven months i should it would be when you guys have parties and don't invite me there and stay at his house so every night we've been highlighting a charity and you have picked which charity tonight uh the world food program the world food program at wfp.org i'll be making a donation world food program and other neighbors hopefully will make a donation cool i feel bad that i said the other ones suck it'd be great if you made a donation to you don't suck that's right we did have some trouble with the neighbors but i think that's smooth over right yeah because i had to like rent a garage to put my truck in which is absolute they had your grandfather's truck towed and now you're renting a garage and they never owned up to it do you remember that night that was nuts they lost my mind they did tell me that it was them they did yeah did they say that they saw the show yeah oh my god you're probably gonna have to stay in the house for a while well it's good to talk to you it's good to talk to you if you get lonely just come to the fence i will i'll come
