Need for Speed Unbound is finally here and to those of you just getting into it here are some tips you should know before getting into the game let's start off with the most obvious one and that is to play the story mode with Unbound you can either Blitz through the days to get to the qualifiers making sure that you have enough cash to buy into each event which ends on the Saturday or you can take your time and complete every single race that's available to you that day or night before you head back to the safe house near the end of the game I decided to complete more events as you earn higher cash payouts so I'd advise that it's actually worth getting enough bank for the first week qualifier event and then skipping any of the other events as you don't necessarily need to do them and you'll just be wasting time of course it's entirely up to you but taking your time with week one is pointless and it's definitely something I wish I knew before I played the game earning cash in Need for Speed Unbound is fairly straightforward there are a few ways to increase your payouts every so often you'll get a race that doesn't require a buy-in unlike most events where you'll have to wages some of your money so make sure you you complete these you'll also get a high risk event that usually have a large buy-in but Awards triple the cash if you win and then linking to my first tip you earn more money as you progress through the story so once you reach the final week that's when you get a larger cash payout this also applies to the delivery Missions at night which can award anywhere between 30 to 40 000 depending on the condition of your car so I bet it can also be a great way to earn a little bit of extra cash early game depending on the status of your car you could earn more money if you win for example if your stats are lower than some of the races your prediction will go down and increase the BET reward on the higher drivers if you beat them as you play through the story I'd strongly recommend upgrading your garage every week so by week four you can apply a few Elite level parts to your car to help out with the grand upgrading your garage is the only way you can unlock the higher level parts and will increase in price each time hence why you should aim to do one a week depending on how you want to play through Need for Speed Unbound I'd say it's worth worth saving some of your cash for upgrades as you're awarded some free cars throughout the story mode these cards can be won by completing specific events on the weekly calendar and will be classed around your current tier pretty much every car I used in my playthrough was free and this comes in handy as the upgrades in the late game are expensive so you'll need to choose between those or a new car from the dealership however for these free car events you do still have to buy into them but as long as you win you could even earn some of that money back at the start of every race event you'll have the chance to perform a burnout to get a boost off the line perfect launches are really easy to do and once you've done them enough times you'll start pretty much every race event with a perfect launch all you've got to do is gently press down on the accelerator and keeping it in the green zone for controllers and racing wheels this is nice and easy to do but if you play with a keyboard you'll probably have to time it perfectly I've not tried it yet but I've got a few friends that play on keyboard and they say that it is harder to do so compared to a controller and of course if you don't get a perfect are your car will have either a slow launch or it will store depending on what happens at the beginning of the race it won't affect the race too much in single player but may take longer to catch up to the AI depending on what difficulty and where you are in the story another awesome feature is burst Nitro and if you master this it will become a complete game changer for how you play the game there are three bars to this and you'll see it as the yellow bar that fills up next to the regular NOS each bar of burst Nitro has an increased amount of boost behind it I'll usually use the first bar after a corner to build my speed back up they never have a second level field that's great for a slingshot overtake especially at the final stretch of a race event to overtake an opponent and lastly is the third level which is a combo of the first two and lasts a lot longer building up this burst Nitro is simple and will happen as you perform skills great ways to get an instant fill is to either speed past the comp to get two bars or if you wreck one it instantly fills all three and again as you progress through the game you'll unlock someone auxiliary slots like we had in Need for Speed heat and if you combine both the drift and the grip refills these are easily the best way to go and you'll pretty much have infinite burst knots so if the handling and physics have been changed in this game so be aware of that if you're coming from Need for Speed heat on the most part I like the changes but sometimes your car will feel very loose on the road causing you to spin out easily at high speeds this has happened way too often so you've got to make sure that if your car starts to slide try and correct it and you should be good like before you're also able to tweak your handling settings depending on what parts you have installed but now you can also choose how to enter a drift both gas and brakes together and individually or you can turn them off all together a lot of people complain about the tap to drift feature so now you don't even need to use it the difficulty settings are back as well but with more features per option depending on your play style the first one is relaxed with an extra 50 Health six extra restarts and less challenging bracer and cop AI the default setting most of us will use is the challenging option with normal Health four restarts and competitive Ai and lastly is the intense difficulty with 60 Health two restarts and the hardest AI settings a good thing to note is there's no change in how much cash you earn so you can play on whatever difficulty you want now this next one is about cops it's a bit of a longer point but I've got some good info in here to help you out so the cops feel a lot easier in this game compared to heat but can still be a pain to deal with there are five heat levels in total starting with patrol cars at heat one all-wheel drive at Heat 2 Interceptor at heat three undercover at heat four and then SWAT and a helicopter unit at heat five early game you might find it harder to evade them as your car won't be as quick as s or S Plus but using tactics you've always used such as taking tight or sudden corners or hiding away will do the trick here's a few tips to help you that I picked up on from my playthrough the cops now have a smart system and depending on your heat level it will be easier for them to spot you make sure you're traveling at high speed and you'll be able to zoom past them without getting chased even at heat level five like before they have Vision cones so when you're escaping them and decide to pull over somewhere out of sight it's best to turn off your engine by holding down b or Circle not only does this increase the evade time but it also makes the vision cone smaller so it's harder for them to find you again helicopter units can be a pain as they usually spawn close by and have a large Vision radius if you have one after you it's best to go into the city area as you can hide down lots of alleys or under the bridges away from them after some time passes they'll leave the pursuit to refuel to use this to evade the cops entirely and easily the best tip is when you enter the cooldown mode you can actually dip into your nearest Safe House car meat or delivery Mission you no longer have to wait until you've evaded the corpse to do anything like that this is really handy and it saves a lot time speaking of car deliveries there's a handy thing not a lot of players know in order to get the best payouts this applies at night as you can get between 20 to 40 000 per car as long as there is no damage when you make it to the drop-off point to ensure the best reward drive through the nearest gas station to completely repair your car and take it to the drop-off and lastly let's chat about multiplayer as this is something that might confuse some of you firstly Lakeshore online is a completely separate mode to single player meaning you'll have to make a new character and basically start all over again any cars that you've won from the single player will automatically get added to your garage online which can be sold to buy better cars if you wish any cards that you've purchased in these single player mode won't transfer over to multiplayer only the cars that you've won or been gifted for completing activities there's five tiers of speed lists for race events which will also show you the max payout before going into them you can either set one up yourself or you can join from the side menu on 4 fortunately where I just started there weren't a lot of players online for A-Class events as you can see in this race but now the game is fully released the lobby should start to fill up especially with a being cross-play if you've got a group of friends I'd recommend inviting them as once random players in the online Lobby will see the race event filling up they're likely join in as well I'd also say that multiplayer is definitely the mode worth grinding for cars as you also need to unlock them by completing certain challenges in order to buy them from the dealership you can also complete any activities or Collectibles online and the progress will share to single player and vice versa if you do them the other way around unfortunately there are no cops online which is a bit of a shame and hopefully in a future update they may add the mode with them in it and there we go those are a few tips I wish I knew before starting Need for Speed Unbound I have more videos out soon so be sure to stick around thanks for watching and I'll catch you in the next one
