hello and welcome to this short tour the national flight 93 memorial that is dedicated to the memory of those that lost their lives here on September 11th 2001 the visitor center is located along the flight path of flight 93 a time line edged into the walkway details the events of the day [Music] at the end of the walkway is an overlook of the memorial and crash site below this is a place that offers reflection with the quote a common field one day a field of Honor forever [Music] I walk with leading the memorial wall is placed along the debris field of flight 93 in the spring and summer the field is alive with wild flowers a stark contrast to the carnage who once held [Music] the centerpiece of the memorial is a memorial wall that contains the names of all those who lost their lives here on that day some passengers knowing that this was a terrorist attack stormed the cockpit and overtook the aircraft the insane struggle drove the plane into the ground at the end of the wall is a gate that leads out to a large boulder that marks the exact site of impact only family members of the victims are allowed there as a sign of respect and to give them time alone six technically this is a great site another new addition to the memorial is the tower of voices a 93 foot tall musical instrument holding 40 wind chimes each speaking to visitors in their own unique and haunting tones thank you for joining me on this short tour and please check out my other videos and follow me on Instagram my website and other media that is in the description
