alex kennedy into the wall as the 23 has heavy damage on the right front and no what happened to kevin swindell holy cow good lord that is the 23 and what happened here must have pulled up in front of what did he do he drove straight across the damn racetrack was i had the wheel cranked and everything i was trying to go back up the track to just try and get back down to the pits and everything um see if we can maybe salvage the car as it was and it wouldn't turn and that's mike wallace in the seven car steven wallace in the 66 and david stremi and another car owned by russell oh we got a spin it's attack right behind you oh the big one in turn one heavy contact cars in the wall stephen wallace heavily damaged there comes kyle kristel off down david rudeman involved see the intensity level coming up on this i saw mike wallace look like he was going below david rudeman right here but they ran up on a slower car wow what man that's kevin lepage's 61 that carl edwards went up across the back of and it all broke loose behind him cars slipping and sliding [Music] oh problems here every pit road and going over the double jump is the 15 just launching the truck into the sky is mason mingus look at all the damage left behind i mean he's got all four wheels off the ground watch how fast he came in here he's coming in too hot on entry i don't know if maybe the brakes didn't it seemed like the brakes got to working good right before you hit the grass look at that thing ramp up in the air a really difficult pit road to get to phil because it's right way around the turn so uh but that wasn't even close oh sure was a lot of damage to mason mingus's truck as well all right this is the time of the race when stuff starts heating up in this particular corner right here off the track the overthrows both canadian drivers all three of our top guys right there alex tagliani has a checkup he's going to lose some spots everybody gets underway and now they're doing a great job and i think that jack's like wow i'm not going to have him cleared as easy as before rusty i think you're right he locked up the rear brakes then when he got in the grass he lost the steering probably should have considered stopping and exiting turn two in hindsight yeah the gas big time on these old tires new leader wait no oh zero looks like a lot of damage there to quinn house oh he's coming down to try to get a pit road oh wow oh got maddie d too i'm assuming he's trying to get a pit road some grip in these corners oh trouble turn one danica patrick landon castle tangled up castle going for a slide it looked like danica had a chance of not hitting anything or maybe there's more to it this is off turn four i guess clear there and she gets in on the bumper and but just doesn't get off of him right there where you're talking and just turn it left and lock it down and she had a chance to not go up hit that wall if she just stayed on the brakes and kept it down there it's actually trying to save it just kept driving it until it uh hooked to the right yeah at that point right there is whenever you should just as a driver realize that this is a spin lock it down and you can come get four tires and that's the kind of things that you'll have to learn with these cars going to happen here in the front street oh man you are kidding me ah great [Applause] having some problems getting spun around excuse me not upside down spun around she was definitely upside down you can see the damage to the roof of that truck you can see kelly moving around in the truck another truck also involved back up the track a little bit further red flag has come out looks like the four truck gets a little sideways he might have made a slight bit of contact with the 10 with a 10 of terry cook we see kelly probably going to come along here with nowhere to go you see made some hard contact with the left front of chris fontaine's and that sent her up into the outside wall and somehow her truck got upside down let's see if we can take another look at it watch the four truck kelly something's going to come along and clip her she was out of out of control a little bit coming in there you could see that she was just trying to re-correct when she got into that form she was sideways she had lost control coming in you can see the radiator leaking there but you're right it flipped back over when it hit the apron come through the gears they go a little shop from our tracks junior and two hard through one keslowski larson both into the wall they pile up and the tub's heartburn turn caution coming out again he's in trouble right there he knows his trouble got the left front locked up and now just nowhere for these guys to go i think even the 18 he was in too deep a lot of guys really did have a lot of trouble getting grip you know you have to trust that the car even maybe just the 21 the 18. so we've had a lot of laps without a restart through that turn fourth caution of the day in the daytona 500 check that fifth caution of the afternoon our computer scoring a little late in there and from high above it's what you call a wad right there they get all wadded up and the 25 and the 99 and 99 gets in the fence 26 was involved jamie mcmurray in the 26 carl edwards in the 99. see joe nemechek into 13 bumps into carl but in the meantime this was not quite what got out the caution watch the yellow cat car he gets forced into the pit lane here's what i don't think he realizes he's got a flat right front tire 150 miles an hour blaney is trying to scrub off speed and just nowhere for ken schrader the 21 car to go or warrior in the 07 car came right out in front of ken strader clint boyer also damaged and schrader's little debbie's car is a wreck remember schroeder and buddy baker were the two drivers to win on sunday and then on thursday and have a shot to win the 500. we have the racetrack he has to catch everybody and horny catches the wall cautions out caution is going to come out both drivers trying to get by look like the 17 to timothy peters they slid up the racetrack and now kyle busch not happy at all good dude and kyle boyce is going to turn off our championship contender today on the wall well kyle busch should be parked for this race and maybe the rest of the season for that holy cow championship contender ron hornaday hard into the wall kyle busch sends him in right now the caution is already out a little bit more damage on ron hornaday's truck very minimal damage to that 18 truck but this is when he's going to show his displeasure to ron hornaday he gets up against him and he just won't never turn him loose mikey he's running wide open in the back of that truck and he finally turns them head on into that outside wall nascar has said the 18 and kyle busch parked for the race and kyle busch and eric phillips you will need to report to the hauler the nascar hauler at the conclusion of this race and another great restart for the four of kevin harvick smoking the tigers the knights gonna miss it he gets into the wall race leader chase elliott into the wall and the caution will come out at any other point during the race and just gets into the corner too deep has the front tires locked up it's never going to turn with the front tires locked up major impact it's it's just such a foreign thing for these drivers
