having a big time [Music] nascar has asked tony to back off a little bit and he did is he trying to make uh brett loose somebody's trying to do it he was trying it would have been done i think he's trying to scratch the paint job oh don't do that junior doing a little bit of work on that 17 when he got into the tire barriers and we've been talking about the race car drivers having trouble with this track how about the pace car driver so we are going to assume this is brett beaudine just because it's fun and that's normally a baseball driver yeah i hadn't seen that very often red out there digging trying to make something happen joe gibbs racing drivers running door to door as the caution comes out and this is early there was a competition caution that is scheduled for around lap 20 and that's the reason kyle weatherman in the 47 has a lot of damage got here i literally have no steering wheel i tried keeping it out of the wall but i could not steer the thing there you hear why yeah it sounds like a mechanical issue with the steering he's playing a little defense on the pace car got the pace car pinned in right there obviously something happened and you know kyle's not going to just drive into the front stretch wall on his own yeah i tagged the inside wall there he was running 30th the 23 year old out of winston missouri here's one reason you can't even run the bank unit it's 55 30 miles an hour i've had so many opportunities to see this support from so many different perspectives so i'm taking advantage of everyone every opportunity and this is just a new one so i want to thank india and chevrolet and kyle busch for giving me a bumper on the back straightaway he gave so i didn't miss out on any part of this i know they like to do that to the pace car drivers so it's been a good one so far well we appreciate you taking that perspective but now hustle over your turn three get up up in the crow's nest here i think we got a little replay of uh of your buddy just kind of hey welcoming you back to the racetrack is what i think this is right here little bump and run it's all funny until he spins out the pace car so much fun yeah wayne moved in we lost the track air titans were out but check this out this happened just a little while ago that is probably a penalty right there but the air titans and the track dryers are still out there efforting to get this track dry and when they do duel number two will get underway okay they've added a lap and i'm pretty sure it's because the king won't come off the track richard petty has stayed out on the track again and i think he was supposed it was an honorary position but i think he's taking this seriously now he wants to stay out there and run with these guys rick you're going to tell him to come off i'm not going to tell him i didn't think so it's going to be the key it's good to be the gate oh you can't black flag the 43. the king is uh having fun and yep sure enough they did they they gave the king i'm not sure the communication is getting to richard penny right now as far as him coming off i think he's following the pace car thinking he just needs to follow the pace car well this is not the winner i've never been wrecked by a record natalie they're trying to push natalie decker off the track after being involved in an incident and then [Music] i think she wanted to turn on the pit road and the record driver didn't realize that and she was trying to hit the brakes and he was on the gas he was on the gas yeah richard chillers wanted to put two right side tires the crew wanted to go ahead and take time under the caution put two right side tires earnhardt is the one who made the ultimate call he said no he said i can't afford to lose one spot on the racetrack it's so tough to pass out there i can't afford to lose any time so no tires gas only and they were gone dale earnhardt has pulled ahead of the pace car what's going on playing with elmo he loves to play with elva sometimes he'll get behind him and bump him and do all kinds of things elmo he just sits there and takes it in stride now that earnhardt's got back in line elmo gave him the okay sign all right thank you jack well the pace car we understand it's been stolen the uh officials are not driving this thing and somebody's actually gone to the pace car and stole it there are at least two policemen on motorcycles plus this car that are pursuing the pace car right now and up until now the pace car has not been caught they've created a roadblock there coming off of turn number four has toured the tri oval and we think there's some unusual drama occurring here let's see what happens when he gets to the uh roadblock will he try to go through it or will he stop and be captured and i guess he's going to stop melissa certainly well i've heard the story of that man who makes a living by going around crashing parties but this is certainly a first and you can see this the crowd expanding and applauding the officials who finally have captured this and now matt de benedetto and uh jeff burton oh gosh got turned around by a track truck holy smoly guess when you're trying to get into your pit the sweeper's a weeper now we've saw matt kenseth once spin into his pit and get serviced that way and yeah all it says is you have to be in your in your pit box it doesn't say which direction that's that's true oh and it's michael annette well guys you know you heard that and he didn't know what he knew what happened he got run over whoa oh trevor trevor bane and the race leader what happened here all of a sudden he gets spun around it affects also stephen wallace and that just gets loose and gets in the wall right there and that's that's all by himself right there just gets loose one spotter saying okay caution turn three now the caution's out see the caution waving on the right-hand side stephen wallace right behind him oh that's what happened they just checked up because the caution car starts to pull out in front of the field right caution car come out a little earlier unbelievable way too early they were both on the brakes how'd you see that caution car jumping out oh yeah trevor bane sees it because he knows you can't pass the caution car back live at detroit and the race has stopped before it even really got started the pace car spun and hit the wall exiting the pit lane over that hump that comes off onto the racetrack you see the safety team is there with the pace car and uh and its occupants they're going to try and motion the field around although i think most of the drivers have shut the engines off by now watch this just bizarre it's like he wasn't expecting to see the two-seater there that is one of the fastest sections of the race track for a race car at speed just accelerating and hit something yeah i think he just got on the gas unfortunately and the back end came around because it gets the back end gets light going over that hump
