I'm also Tom F dot ballinger joined here by two of the most illustrious commentators in the building it's gonna be stacks of course supersonic one of the newer guys how you doing I'm doing great man the matches this morning we're great out of eat you a lot of things went directions we didn't expect them to i'll see if maybe we can get a win here on the desk and pick one of these right here in the second half of the day you could say things did not go as expected earlier is an understatement yes i am going to pick up an RCD Espanyol jersey just like reddit has suggested and that will be the end of that but hey you know what it's a new show it's north america I'm ready to go exactly as stacks alluded to in Super Sonic we have just finished up our European broadcast but North America ten new teams maybe let's take a look at where everybody's sitting so far absolute leverage coming back from last season so Charlotte Phoenix couple of changes though we'll take a look at those rosters in depth in just a moment on the bottom two side shall steer plating teams omelet zookeepers 72 pin connectors cassie sports clubs and friendly faces some new ones stacks why don't you give us the background on na and what you're expecting well I think one of the matchups that we should expect to feature top two teams in the league we're gonna see this week in Charlotte Phoenix and monkey business they're two teams that made huge roster moves over this winter but also you've got this the Warriors international team that basically traded with the Charlotte Phoenix Jay Wiz Mott finally left what was splice and then Charlotte Phoenix he went over to what became nefarious with buddy and thunder then they were picked up by warriors international they lose to rantarou he goes over to Charlotte Phoenix so when those two meet up later on this season that's gonna be a real fun match in addition to the Phoenix match later on today love the terminology used lose Turin Tarot that guy is a beast and I'm excited to see what he does with the new roster Super Sonic what are you looking at what are your highlights for na bran a is definitely be that exactly that that swap-out turn Turo if that team comes together that is a powerhouse that's gonna be what we were thinking the triple trouble of the EU side was gonna be they're gonna be an absolute powerhouse they're the ones that I'm gonna be watching for all the way through should be a hello it should be a fantastic season as we watch all these 10 teams battle it out and of course this is the rival series what's it all about we're right beneath they are LCS that's the big show number one team will Auto qualify and the 10th team will come join us over here number 2 & 3 from the rival series go head-to-head vs. 7 & 8 from the our LCS and then everybody else gotta play in a promo tournament to earn a right to play in season 10 the eighth and ninth teams from the from the our LCS but yes you know for the for the rival series it's been kind of an interesting past six months because last season with the expansion to ten teams and the impending expansion this season to the our LCS going to ten teams a lot of shifts have been made in the rival series and overtime you know we've seen that these players haven't had much of a safety net and they haven't had many opportunities to go up you had to be top two and then you had to play your way up now having that assurance that if you're at the top of the league you go straight to the our LCS that is huge for these players that have been grinding for so long of course the our LCS is the carrot at the end of the stick but prize pool is here for the players in the rival series top card 13k definitely not a chunk of change that you want to say no to 10th place we'll grab two thousand and times in between there in so that's what we're looking at as far as our RL CS rival series here as we get into it I'm excited because as I said a bunch of new teams coming back from the world where we haven't seen them before but also some vets should be an interesting day yeah and for the you know as far as the prize money goes that's great but even then while it's nice to have that money regardless of your result you know you're gonna get some kind of a payout when you play now this two-month season and you finish say fourth just outside the top three don't even get a chance at the are LCS boy that's gonna be real bittersweet when you get that paycheck later on yeah a little bit rough there but as far as us today we've got four fantastic matches coming at you number one off the top it'll be absolute leverage going up against Stromboli some of the newer guys on the scene Charlotte Phoenix will go head-to-head vs monkey business that one that it should be fun to watch we mentioned how karma and Jey Wiz menthe went way stay Wisma on warriors international versus affinity and of course Kaos eSports Club 72 pin connecter anybody know what Jacob is yeah yeah he's a guy I heard that he used to kind of play this game competitively now he's doing it again hey it's great to see caught back in the system here and back playing competitive rocket League at a high high level this is a team 72 pin connecter that I remember looking back last season when I saw him playing with lion blaze up I think I was talking to some friends I'm like guys I need a sanity check I'm watching Jacob play with lion blaze and all of a sudden that duo has turned out to be a quite quite the tandem and now they're in the rival series they've got as good a shot at anybody at getting into the top three yeah we saw similar stories on the European side of the broadcast greezy Meister trying to get his way back into things Carmen's gonna be doing it Jay Wiz mom's doing and obviously Jacob here in the conversation but we'll start off at the top absolute leverage is gonna be our first matchup they'll be going head-to-head against Stromboli as I said kind of the rookie team on Stromboli Andy Jay POW and all arise and he could be playing technically the sub if I'm not mistaken yeah so technically the sub but we actually got something to get in contact with them to see what's going on other players packs out of town with their bases saying we're a four main roster anyways we don't really think it's gonna have any effect on us whatsoever I kind of land in the middle on that on whether I think that's a good thing or bad thing I know you got an opinion on it across the way absolute leverage will be rude okay kinsa and one to mike got their own story it's let's finish up that thought on Stromboli though sacks you had something say yeah well you know in football when you hear you if you've got two quarterbacks you don't have one I'm very much of the mind that if you if you say you're a four man roster you've got for starters well you don't have three when it comes down to crunch time you know when you've got to decide hey we need to win this match to get into the promotion tournament or when they get to the promotion tournament hey we play with this roster in the upper bracket what roster are we going with in the lower bracket I think that indecisiveness could be really daunting for teams I think he could be very challenging for them to kind of have confidence in a particular teammate because at any point you think well okay the other two are just gonna bench me that's gotta weigh on the minds of players at times I feel that but I'm actually gonna come at you from the other angle there stacks I understand what you're saying but you mentioned football go sports let's talk baseball it's it's it comes down to specialties right and so when you look at when you look at a four man roster like this stromboli going against absolute leverage you can look at the team ago alright maybe they are weaker on defense so we can put in our fourth guy who's stronger at utilizing that sort of at getting towards that weakness or maybe their strong offense and you want the more defensive player so it's an equation that stromboli have to have to figure out I love it in theory but if they can't figure out that chemistry that you're talking about that's gonna be an issue across the way absolute leverage no easy cookie this is the team that beat the number one seed in planes that's wild very close also it was a slug match it went back and forth if you actually look at the total goals across it's actually dead even on that five series they both scored eight goals across the five the five matches so that was an awesome match to watch absolute leverage showed up big had the upset see if they can carry that momentum over into week one here at the RL RS yeah Kinsler was an absolute animal at the end of that series he was just kind of there at parts of the beginning and then game four and five he stepped up and he was basically the grim reaper and there was just no answer for him and now here he is a chance to start absolute leverage off with a 1o record they get Stromboli you are ok they're using a sub however many starters they they profess to have but you know I think that that is going to matter with that said bringing Andy in that's not all that bad because Eddy and all res do have a lot of chemistry together they played together the previous season when they tried to make it into the rival series and they have been offseason grinders from last summer right up through this winter it would not surprise me if they work out just fine this time well it's all postulation let's get into those diction's put it down man supersonic what are you thinking who wins I land in the middle on the whole back and forth you guys are having over this fourth man theory but until I see it executed in function I can't get behind it I'm going with absolute leverage yeah absolutely Everage the way they played their way through the play in you know they go in as the you know the the eight or nine and they beat number one and boy did they look good in doing it I have to feel like they have to keep this going I think they take the win here as well I'm gonna go with absolute leverage as well honestly watching the planes or a dokgo really shine to me I don't know why I just really enjoyed the way he played and of course listen I'm gonna lean a lot on the community I tend to be that dude and watching one too Mike everybody knows him from the Johnny boy videos this guy finally in the rival series I'm a bleb all the way I love it and I love that you went red oak oh he talked about Kens say in my notes on my other page was me watching one to Mike in the play and so all three of us are back in a different guy in that squad all three of them show up we're looking good well all three of us put our hat in the same team so for now we all ready today though and yeah this has not gone well so absolute leverage I'm going to apologize now in advance we have given you the kiss of death the observation all yours boys hey I love both teams as well but hey this is not Little League baseball there has to be a winner there has to be a loser nobody not everybody gets a trophy here and there's no guarantee that either these two teams are getting any kind of reward at the end of this season it is a long long haul and it starts here with this match between two teams that I think going into the play in nobody expected that they would have a chance at being one of those top three teams they have a chance to open a lot of eyes here as we start game number one ain't no one gonna be right off to a quick start and he letting us know he might be the sub but he's getting it done here immediately out the gate seven seconds in they're already up one great start here force Trumbull couldn't ask for a better start for Andy coming in as well all the questions for second goal you know he's even got a question mark after his name that's great all the question here yeah all the questions surrounding hey okay so can he replace heck like can they function they sure can at least for the first seven seconds he's already got the first goal and the first save for his team so and he's definitely been a factor so far but we're just getting started here in this matchup keeps a gonna bring that out on the corner and get picked up by J pals he pops that one up tries to carry it over to make something happen not going to be able to nor dokgo gonna try and clear that one down Andy there to break that up that was a clever first touch by Renault co2 trying to follow that up the sidewall Andy all over at j-pal will send this out to midfield and it is drop bully back on the attack J pound trying to get one down on target this will be popped away follow-up is going to go to the corner and Al Raths coming on his shot the wing is gonna be blocked double demo between reduc oh and Andy and so they played two on two for a couple seconds here comes absolute leverage as that shot just goes wide that shot was just about on al-a'raf thought it was on as he smashes himself into the post one two-bike trying to get that up towards for doco possibly both gonna commit on that ball Keane say coming in as the third need to get back make sure that balls get clear downfield over a 1/2 bike with a nice little touch there to buy the team some time to get back down field and set up for the defense one two Mike will play this clear out to midfield but it is Andy intercept needs one more touch dissenter al Raz is there but so torque insane wonder Mike another shot on that one's saved by red oak oh hey memphir to clear that ball away but here comes Stromboli again until wonder Mike booms another one away maybe gonna be able to try and take that one up in the corner and out to j-pal they need to get this back down get it going I think that if they can get a two three goal lead here early in Game one they can kind of set the tone of the pace for this I still think absolute leverage gonna be a strong one to take down but they're looking really good so far against them J pout does get to this ball gets it out to a lab that's intercepted by one to Mike and Stromboli will reset again genset over towards one to Microsoft ripple trouble try to utilize this and then RCD Espanyol later on in the series Kim say his shot that's gonna be in our eyes we're all tied up great shot out of Keaton safe we saw this earlier in the day I believe out a block block out here bringing out wide left give a little bit of hesitation and just cut that ball and get it out ahead of the defender very nice play shot well we've played just about half of Game one and we're no closer to figuring out who's gonna take Game one we're right back at a scoreless and score this one yeah right a seat give or take a couple of goals here is Andy from the backline looking for Jay pal but it's not gonna get there in time may still be able to play this but Road OCO comes up instead little too passive there on the part of Stromboli gonna cost them possession and a little more pressure on the part of absolute leverage Keats ain't gonna be able to get out pick that one up gets it over good back for defense from our asses he clears it out 1 2 Mike gets one across he's saying with a possible shot here on target as he puts it up towards that upper right 90 great pass play to get that across does great things when you do that yeah hammer County cross makes it hard to challenge that ball yeah and a challenge fastball to challenging the defender hey read and react to this he could not absolute leverage two unanswered goals there in front al rouse looking answer back off the kickoff but he could not catch up to the ball that just whistled back off the side wall is gonna bring that one out try and drop it down on there and he gets a second touch not sure if he wanted it and that is gonna give up the possession to the other squad here for a moment and one to Mike Akeem say both coming out for that that opens up a shot on goal but it's gonna get deflected away by red oak Oh played back in for one to Mike to take over Jay Powell and there's up and he feeds the defender it's Kim say Bowie beats go figure - - or you know scoreless yeah back to 0-0 right again both teams are doing really well and breaking down the demons they're getting a couple of these passes they're getting in there they're getting enough rapid succession hits towards the goal that it eventually is just breaking down rotations got to get a little bit stronger on the defensive half whichever team can figure out their defensive side sooner but probably take this match and forth the teams go training goals now the pendulum seems to a swung in the direction of Stromboli but absolute leverage try to do something about that Andy will intercept here that's gonna be stopped by one to Mike you can follow this but j-pal pops it away now it's gonna be over to the corner Andy's there to receive it gonna get a little bit of a bump on the ball there j-pal sending it down and we've got almost double commits eights situation out of Andy and Allies there and that's gonna open it up luckily al Raz did make the executive bleh shot on goal from hey Andy coming down from the heavens to put that one away death from above as Stromboli jumps back in front Andy from the ceiling drops this down almost impossible to defend by the time one two Mike realized what was going on it was far too late Stromboli jumps back in front and again momentum is certainly on their side j-pal trying to chase this one down it'll be one two Mike instead as it is absolutely lever to again find themselves trailing Mike does speed and into that corner boost this will angle down but right at j-pal even better Alvarez gets around kids say so he's got a rush back with 20 to go one to Mike it's a bit of an odd touch there that's gonna go the way of Andy and j-pal there he'll pick that one up at Keane say gonna come in and break it break it up is they took way too long to make a play on that ball and the communication of who has taken it got in the way one two Mike he lets that go can say now Rococo did not get this in the air but they're gonna get bailed out by Al Raths so Andy's gotta come up that should kill this and it does Stromboli almost gave them just a little bit of life at the end but it is Stromboli doesn't matter how many starters they actually have what matters is they have a 3-2 win in Game one very close on on number of shots both teams solid offensive attacks definitely involved Rideau ko could use a could need to step in a little bit needs to get a little bit more involved on the offensive side but both teams need to figure out their defensive half that's where the struggles happening for both of these teams so let me interested the scene who goes up for the gets the better defensive plays in game number two I think that the defense is gonna end up being what wins it in the long haul across this series yeah outside of that great shot from Andy at the end of the game that gave Stromboli the lead for good there wasn't a whole lot of passing plays that broke down the defense it was just shot after shot and kin say getting a ton of power behind a couple of shots and getting answered back by Jay pal blowing one by him I mean that's it it just hit hit the ball hard enough the defense can't react yes sometimes you throw the ball at the net and good things do happen yeah and that's exactly what they went for and Andy we had a question on whether having a sub and is gonna make a difference or not maybe they are just a four-man roster and he definitely showed up he's playing like a starter he's not playing like a sub right now we'll see if he can continue that though now here's what happens though now let's say they win this man there's a lot of rocket League to be played here let's say they sweep absolute leverage here and then heck plays next week and they don't win maybe they get swept all of a sudden now that's where that's one north man becomes an issue absolutely i 100% agree with you on that but there is a long time between now and then including at least two more games here we go to Neo Tokyo for game two and a brand new opportunity for absolute leverage to get started in this series it'll be red oeko-tex and now j-pal trying to center II cannot doesn't get a piece of kin say either and wonder bike will just take his time clear the ball downfield that one is gonna go to keen says he tries to get a shot up into that top corner and tries to get it to come down as a pass gonna get picked up though al Raz goes in gets broken up by one to Mike and a horn specimens again Rococo trying to follow Kim say read that well and his drive is saved by Jay pal he will not be beaten this time now Rideau co s that kisses the ceiling it was on its way down but Andy made sure there was no rebound off the backboard another centering ball that was going to be cleared away by Alvarez and so Reducto will try again an out as well clean this one over to the corner as well that one's gonna be left in the corner though one to fight gonna come in definitely not the touch he was looking for Keats a with the second touch here and that one it's gonna get cleared back down Andy with the challenge against one two in the corner one de gonna bomb that one downfield Jay Powell with a great challenge he doesn't have a lot of food to work with and he's not gonna find much either so this will go all the way across that demo on Andy will leave things due out Raths who did hustle over there but out double tough tap opportunity does not pan out and al Raths will just play that off to the side he's a gonna try and bring that one across j-pal coming off the back we're gonna get a touch i'll Red's down to get it to get a block shot there and Wonder gonna try and bring this one down again how are ass just there for everything at the moment che palle pops one up and it's Andy to help him out it communication is there for Stromboli and now Jay Powell will patiently wait for this fall try to take it by red oak oh he does kin say rotating back to the far post he is going to be called on here on the near side that's gonna go right to Andy more of like token pressure they're just trying to dump the ball in stall them for a little while longer Al Araf steal some more boost and now you gotta start worrying about that on the part of absolute leverage that clear by red oak Oh we'll give them plenty of time and space to work with our ass good touch here they're getting them into the corners they're making good clears neither team has been able to show us anything like what we saw on their offensive half last round the same that we needed the defense was gonna win games I didn't mean like this guys you still got to play the offensive half strong pass over to red oak oh they're not teammates that creates a problem and jpowel save that one on the goal line he has been critical defensively for stromboli now here's Andy over to the corner Al Araf scumming on his shot that's gonna be on target saved by one to Mike played further by red oak Oh and this is towards the target as well but saved by all rats yeah and he was the devil there as he went in for that challenge or doko is gonna get a touch and and he's I appreciate the confirmation I don't know that I would have gotten there Stromboli does feel like they have had the majority of aggression here but they have not been able to break through this time the goal line nobody there to finish it off Jay Powell though he's gonna come through 12 seconds in and he's gonna send that one home that 12 second overtime and just a little bit of contact there with wonder Mike took him out of the play Road OCO couldn't recover kimse couldn't get up in time and j-pal wins it for Stromboli after just 12 seconds and now all of a sudden the death goes unanimously for absolute leverage but it's Stromboli who is up two nil in the seer I figured something now forgot other half of the broadcast we've got a break one of us up so somebody can get something right okay I'm just I'm just going off set of you for the rest of it okay so I got Stromboli Stromboli is my official prediction now to to win this Mary's I don't know you do that we can totally can do that I just did it yeah I mean I'm gonna have to take your word for that you are the veteran I have seniority around here so yes so yeah Stromboli my absolute pick to to win this series and they're up 200 in the series so that's good Jay Palin al Raz he's awesome in that last game I res was there for a ton of Defense's Jay Powell was the guy on offense but he was also there for a ton of tough saves our eyes was there but none of them were super threatening shots j-pal really impressed me that match yeah and he did a lot of work on defensive end I mean he made some great saves in Game one as well after the team's had kind of traded away you know really hard shots right through the back of the net he stepped up his defensive presence and then in Game two he's the reason the I think the biggest reason that absolute leverage came up with a goose egg in Game two yeah he's definitely the game to player Andy I think was that guy that showed up and made his statement in Game one hey I belong here Jay Powell came through and just said hey we're staying here and they are putting a hurting on absolute leverage right now so Rideau co the only player in this whole match that has any rival serious experience no goal participation whatsoever no goals hey so is this sometimes you're that team player that lets the rest the team get everything get the feel-good you're you're the emotional you know mastermind behind the scenes of your team well I wonder what their emotions are like now that they are down to Oh in the series Reducto may need to make his presence known here J Pao has made his known all series and he goes through the defense like a hot knife through butter Jay pal just taking that one downfield just ahead red oak oh not able to get there looked like he was gonna cut that ball in a lot harder and he got one two bike to bite early and backflip into that trying to get the defense it took 19 seconds it took them seven seconds in Game one Stromboli about a minute they gave two though yeah you're right they are all about these quick hitter attacks right out of the gates and it has worked this score line holds they will have a clean 3o sweep that is a terrible touch by wonder Mike and Alvarez ate him up so first goal gonna come out or second goal for them coming out here at our ass again again asked I believe what Mike was the one that just did the backflip on the last play - so another one gonna get past him a lot of pressure coming out of it he's not quite able to live up to it at the moment a lot of folks very excited to see wonder Mike it is shot in the rival series but I'm sure you would like to take a mulligan right now and have this day back but it is Valentine's Day and not Groundhog Day so I'll have to settle with these results they've got four minutes to write the ship here al Roz it's around one but Rideau goes there there's still plenty of time for absolute leverage to get back in this series but with these demos coming in left and right that's just gonna add to the frustration then that's a play right now honestly that that that is a 200 IQ power move you start getting those demos they're already kind of on til they're under pressure in those moments if you can start going demo heavy right now that's a way to just full tilt it J pal trying to float one over and don't go follow up opportunity as Alvarez gets there Andy coming on as well but he runs into J pal that kills off that attack not quite ad he's gonna be able take that one up off the wall tries to get it in the back for Rideau ko gonna clear that one away battle by Jay pal and one to Mike gonna go the way of Wanda and they finally get this ball cleared back down into the orange half Oh Andy clever touch to drop that back for an hour as they break out very quickly down field and this stromboli team they are playing with a certain confidence that you do not see many first time teams in the rival series play with and this is quite the sight to see right now as they seem to be picking apart absolute leverage they've been playing very well I haven't seen too many double commits issues we did see the one bump where they ran into each other but I think that's just more the camera as Jay Powell is trying to come out they've been on the rotations they've always had a man back and they bit very aggressive on getting their attacks and it's a passing plays so they're they're pressing me into ball can say forced to bring this all the way back to his own back line and try to reset it we'll have possession unless j-pal gets in the way beautiful challenge and again only three certainties in life death taxes at j-pal getting in the way of whatever absolute leverage is trying to do finally one two Mike will score they finally got Jay pal out of the net I was just about to say it finally pulled him off the goal line and if the other guy that has been getting those saves getting those saves were not able to get there that time 207 remains in Game three a must-win for absolute leverage to prolong this series any further red oak oh so we're near the target rebound opportunity from one to Mike he's not there there are bundled up just a little bit defensively our Stromboli this is an opportunity for absolute leverage Orinoco taking his time but his shot has blocked away by Eddie he picked his spot wasn't the right choice our ads gonna come in and pick this one up there was a demo that's actually gonna be on Stromboli though you don't typically see that the defense demoing the guys in the gold little interesting al wrasse gonna be just hi Andy there to clean it up though Stromboli go up to three two one Andy from Al rise it's like we're in the summer of 2019 all over again and this I think this is a product of absolute leverage kind of feeling the pressure now that they feel like they got to go chasing that second goal even though they still had a minute plus to work with and they got caught and now Stromboli is up by two and now that the task gets even taller for absolute leverage his pressure is just building on them more and more as this clock ticks down it's gonna get harder and harder and you're gonna see they feel the way these guys thought hi there supersonic and stacks of course gracing us on the desk absolute leverage the number one team coming out beating the number one seed in play and everything lining up for them and the rookies take it so what on earth happened here super you started fourth man showed up and got the emotions running for that team seven seconds into game number one is what happened and they just never let off the gas pedal they were holding down the defensive side they had a lot of strong offensive plays I I really don't have anything that can pick apart on them they they were making good rotations they had very few mistakes yeah they played almost flawless and it's not like they had to but they did and that's that's something if you can carry that over week by week like you're not always gonna play it your best but if you play like that that's a team that's gonna look real good when we get into you know week six and seven and we're starting to look at hey who's got a chance here coming down the stretch you know we were talking at length about the extended roster right there is he a sob is he a fourth player now I don't think we have enough information to really prove or disprove our thesis yet but I mean if that's the sub and he plays like that what's the starter look like you know what I'm so I'm here everything looking up as we look across the way at Stromboli taking the match number one away from absolute as we move into our second match however we've got two different teams coming out Charlotte Phoenix we're going a head-to-head against monkey business karma and shadow returning from last season and adding turn Turo the Gaul mastermind and monkey business crossed away and calm and Stokely Stokely and calm played last season and they added a on so kind of these two partner squads adding a new guys so and so both of them honestly a lot of different story lines here stats talk to me on Charlotte so they add Toronto after they they drop jaywehrs marseille was mont leaves one way or the other they add toronto so now what they have is they have shadow and Turturro who both were tied for the league lead in scoring tied with seabass who if you haven't heard he's also really good at rocket so down they're on the same team and everybody else has to look up at that and go we have to match that we have to stop that somehow i don't see how anybody does it a lot of the teams have like the guy with the heist the high goal number and then the rest of it well now you've got number one n two what that's gonna be real tough to climb but if everybody could do it it might be monkey business i mean when you look at this roster stokeley income have succeeded in their own right and a on i mean to three separate seasons in the rival series these guys aren't exactly what we call rookies no not at all and in the pick up of replacing dino with a on i think is a good move for the team they also seem pretty confident so you know what they were they were playing johnny-boy games last night they they feel good going into the day i mean it right they weren't out there screaming they were out there having fun and at the end of the day i think that if you can get to a point that you are having fun you're doing it right absolutely and and when they add a on they're adding a very good defensive presence so we talked about all these goals that shadow and tour and tour scored hey there's still only one ball on the field they can't both be they can't both well they can't both go for it sure they both can't have it so you know maybe you see some double commits come out but i would be really surprised i think that a on is gonna pay dividends for monkey business i think they would much rather have this match later on in the season once they got a few reps under their belt but hey you're taking on charlotte phoenix right out of the gates and we'll see what hey on i can't even say it with a straight face we'll see what his motivation is like for this series i still i cannot get over motivational issues it just blows my mind hey man I'm not here to muddy the waters but I will catch the underhand toss there as we mentioned our predictions for this one this is exciting is I kind of want to set the table here I mean as we look at Charlotte Phoenix this is karma is kind of you know it's a new chapter again I keep using that phrase because there's so many people coming out here again it's for everybody this season exactly this does Charlotte Phoenix is this the beginning of our man's newest scent or his monkey business gonna take it I have to go monkey business because I can't trust my gut today and so I'm gonna go monkey business okay I got Charlotte Phoenix I've only met a smart choice at night if only you said monkey business so I have to just go with whatever you don't appreciate you setting it up so that at least half parties know it's gonna get this right yeah it's fine I'll take right because remember I took Stromboli the last time around remember everybody saw it during Game two or after game two I said Trumbull there's gonna win and they did so there we go all right well we got the Charlotte Phoenix is over here I actually listen I like what monkey business has I think that karma and and her squad can kind of make this happen but I'm looking at monkey business like you said the long term situation so I'll be the odd one out I really think that monkey business down out I took them I think the Charlie's gonna take about take you for my I look like I'm one see see now I got to be the middle I get a show Charlotte but say monkey I'm both I win no matter what happens here oh that's not how that works it does in my brain what's going on up there what's going on up there either I think it's best if we all just avoid that subject entire right I think it's probably yeah that's safe it's safe so one of the big things coming into this one specifically for Charlotte Phoenix I mentioned a new chapter quite literally it's the first time actually exactly to the date if we were yesterday two years for karma with a new squad she's been playing with James Bond for over to for exactly two years so how do you kind of enter this world shadow yeah you played last season but it's basically a new squad I mean that's a whole new feeling when you've been playing the game for this long well I think karma has been very fortunate to be able to just go and pick up you know some great free agent players over the past couple of seasons and it's amazing because you hear her talk about someone like shadow or Turin Toro and the the message is the same she can't believe they were free agents for as long as they were like wait a minute so you're not getting paid like a bunch of money to go play for somebody else okay here come play with me then and it worked out it worked out great with shadow sure they didn't make it up to the our LCS last season but now I boy I've said this during Europe but I'll say it again there are some can't-miss prospects to promote and Charlotte Phoenix are looking like that on paper let me clarify that by saying on paper because clearly you play the games for a reason and it's to make me look dumb well Who am I to get in between that so let's jump right into the game super and stacks on the mic stranger on the can you guys are the chat let's get to it right so we had Charlotte Phoenix well okay some number of us had Charlotte Phoenix you had whatever you had going on over there Charlie Phoenix at one point today in general I got to the point that I was I was batting zeros and I just can't trust myself anymore yeah so right now I'm going over here if they don't win if they don't win this match then I'll just freely admit I don't have a clue what's going on granted there are plenty of people out there that think I don't have a clue anyways but this monkey business team they've got to be a fan favorite because yeah they they have they have the power of the great Sadie on their side we will see how that works out for them the sub sure he'll be watching along monkey business starting things off on the offensive end they will have the first crack at trying to get on the board this season all right Turo gonna bring that one down it's gonna get broken up taro is gonna pick up that demo on to Stokely though calm and to clear that out to the corner karma has a shot on it gonna be wide as it posts out a on with the pass over to Stokely and that one's also gonna get broken up so a lot of just midfield stoppage occurring here in the first 30 seconds over towards the side and played out further by shadow Turturro is shadowing that play and now karma will bring it around the corner that's sent away by Kong it's just a big bit clear they're not really to anybody it's kind of strange you we've hit these moments a lot today where I've noticed it almost turns into like a volleyball match at the start it's kind of like watching two boxers feel themselves out in the start of the match just kind of boom it back and forth so you can find a play who's gonna be the first one to pull it off here Bob looking for one more touch he's around one be able to beat Karma able to be in shadow gonna dish it in himself and Tom gives monkey business the lead nice little sneak in there coming off the corner sees it he has all the open space in the world jumps off and just peels it in well it doesn't matter how many goals you can score if you can't stop the other guys and monkey business are in fact out up to a one nothing lead now it is shadow looking for a second touch does not get one so back into the Charlotte Phoenix end this will go for how long this time not very long that you clear there pretty quick now calm popping one away that's gonna be brought right back in by shadow second touch to throw one on target that will be easily set away Stokely taking his time needed that corner boost and he got it accidentally hey unable to win that challenge there gets it around but Toros gonna get out there tries to get a pass comp wins the fool I thought that one was going in for a moment there and that's gonna be wide and they start trying to clear it down common goal looking for this one but hey on its gonna pick it up for gets it around karma straight back to churro gonna get stuck there in the corner for a moment so is this kicks back out towards the middle it'll be a on trying to clear he's giving that away to shadow though and that means calm has to clear it away nobody over there for Charlotte Phoenix to keep the pressure on monkey business back on the attack and it will be karma trying to play this out through midfield a couple nice soft touch is there for karma to bring it across wasn't that thing - trying to get it all the way to the wall maybe get a pinch pass in wasn't able to quite get it there shadow gonna throw a ball in there and a on he's gonna clear it out it's gonna go right past Turo and back to karma now calm that goes off the ceiling shadow does find karma but they take too long to get out of the zone and monkey business able to put a little more pressure on now karma looking for the demo on combat dish that off the shadow what a pass for a second there had no idea where that ball was going didn't see anybody come in but shadow able to sneak his way in on the bottom side of that screen get in there and get that shot right off of that left post and in ties it up so we're back to a what do we call that a 0-0 shadow from karma callback to last season they did that 20 now it will be shadow playing another one down towards the net well wide and played by a on monkey business a short-lived lead as we get into the final two minutes now Stokely is gonna have to watch a on take this ball downfield Tom giving chase got a piece of that as well that will find Stokely and he does pitch it down towards the corner but only towards torotoro a on now his shots can be blocked by karma may they look a little more difficult than it had to be and the follow up is going to find the mark as calm slept the far corner karma gets a save in both players both Turow both Errol and shadow chase that ball out in the corner karma coming off that side though isn't gonna be able to get back on that he needed somebody to be ready for that shot get returned couldn't you clean that up so it is monkey business back in front threatening to add more but shadow is all over that play not fooled got to be a lot more unconventional if you're gonna feed him and now you get interference running downfield from karma and Turo dxz engage Zuma at least favorite things to deal with is when that that aggressive push karma come in and I you want to break me down you ever run into me and standard play that's the way to do it just throw somebody at me well the problem is we've teamed up and I'm still just throwing my car at you and bad things have happened okay one of these times it's gonna be the most beautiful accidental pinch goal that we'll ever have that's coming shadow dropping one in all of a sudden renewed vigor for the Charlotte Phoenix but now here comes monkey business that's gonna drop straight down big drive off the post tom is going to take his time and Juran churro not going to wait him out at all put the pressure on as the Charlotte Phoenix well they're going to get kind of a second wind here in a second opportunity a on had a nice decision there to just kind of hold that ball and keep it new a teammate got mode made a nice touch stall to play out let him get back up and now they're getting things going again kind of past there they thought carmen was gonna get it they didn't gonna take the shot hey on up to calm calm with a wide shot hits it that angle though calm with a beautiful shot who did it better bomber Andy I can calm this is clean this is a really wide hard angle that is a beautiful shot that is magnificent forgot to play any defense at all quick return and they go up to 19 seconds left on the clock this isn't gonna be a tough situation for them to come out of it however this team does have a ton of experience does anybody's gonna put two goals in on this side of the right now it's it's gonna be this team plus 15 seconds very very unlikely as Turo will work over one trying to force his way through another chance here for shadow trying to set up karma this is going to take far too long and monkey business takes Game one I don't know why I am around here settlement you know I'm looking kind of okay but I still don't know what I actually am if I'm monkey business or Charlotte the screen showed one thing my mouth said another I don't know what the whole day year with you well you're more use than when we started right now right here you know we know we don't Wow we know what monkey business is but this whole thing is frighten my brain I blame the fact that I'm sitting next to him yes it's fine I'll take the blame right thank God the offensive pressure is just so much stronger out of monkey business right now yeah I mean they're shooting 9:00 to 9:00 to 4:00 I mean that's that's more than double that's that's a lot of shooting yeah and calm is a player that a lot of people had their eyes on for someone who may get picked up by an our LCS team going into this season if he keeps playing like that and the shot that he scored near the end of one he pulls that off his third goal like okay yes SIA might be my favorite one of my favorite shots of the day they it's just so clean fiction the pass up to him I forget who it was it heated up to him but the pass was was just yeah right on the money yeah a on and that's something a honest done for a long time in the rival series he sees his teammates when they're downfield and it worked out to perfection there a onna is a huge pickup for monkey business and you saw exactly why yeah he scored a goal that was kind of in garbage time it was off a kickoff but those two assists those are critical and again the one that we did watch and we just talked about is is just right on the money it's about that it you can do passes all day you can do these drop-offs but when you can put a ball on the money on your teammate like that it just makes their life so much easier and if you're shooting at somebody like calm who has that kind of accuracy you're just you're just giving them hang meas here's a hand in the mount yeah three shots right yeah free goals to you know calm calm as a player that has just been so fun to watch even when you go to like these lands you know down at Dreamhack Atlanta up in Toronto for world game you know the the whole family's there you know they got the pins that added you know the bull sent logo Bosco on it and everything it's actually stokeley's dog go figure but you know it's uh it's just a treat to watch when you see you know the families get involved with these teams and support them I love to see that I mean I definitely came you know if we at times there's parents that do and do not support gaming I love seeing it when families show up to these events and they're out there rooting the kids on and all the all the holding up all the signs and everything it just makes the whole the whole thing a lot funner for everybody involved everywhere from the casters to the players to the fans so I love seeing them get involved and we'll have a little extra time before we get on into game two as we try to get the players back in and ready to go we had a player disconnect but you look at that last game for the Charlotte Phoenix again they had offense they had plenty of opportunities the defense stood up for monkey business but what did not stand up for Charlotte Phoenix was their defense and you know that's a game that could have gotten really out of hand around the midway point but you know the Charlotte Phoenix have got to do a better job of getting back and stopping opportunities like that I mean you're not gonna stop the goal that Andy scored in the last series you're not gonna stop the goal that com scored that's just sometimes good offense beats good defense but there's some other goals scored in that game especially the one that Aon scored off the kick off that's like what are you doing they had they had offense they had offensive pressure they were doing well with getting rotations still defensively they had the two to about halfway through after that last goal though they started getting really aggressive and it looked like they were chasing those goals in the second you get into that mindset and you've still got two and a half left on the clock you're only halfway through the match calm down a little you don't have to rush that stuff and as soon as they started rushing things started falling apart we look at you know we talked so much about shado and Turan Toro their offensive prowess last season calm was no slouch either Aon contributed greatly to our BG success and of course if you've seen anything on social media you've seen how that whole relationship ended between a on ed RBG they ended up kicking him they get memory probably not that definitely an upgrade because we know how good memory is we saw him here in the rifle series once upon a time but now he gets another opportunity with this monkey business team and we talked about motivation we kind of joked about it a little bit with that being one of the reasons given for kicking him he looked very motivated in that game on both ends of the field I'm not sure what the motivation is maybe it's the being said that the motivation issues were it that's motivating him whatever it is whatever you can find to motivate yourself make use of it and he definitely found whatever he needed to get get things going ya know no matter what the issues were and only the players and people behind the scenes are going to know that for sure I can tell you one thing there is nothing that motivates you more than being kicked off of a squad and being told yeah you're actually not good enough for there sorry because now he's gonna get a chance and just imagine just we get a little further down the line Samantha this monkey business team is playing in the promotion tournament against our BG something to think about in the next couple of months as this season unfolds now be a fun one that's definitely a possibility too if they can play like this there's a chance to that happens there is a very good chance that that happens they're probably gonna need Stokley to get involved just a little more in the offense though no goals no assists in Game one but they didn't need it they take that game 4-2 - we appreciate your patience as we get the players back in and ready to go on Neo Tokyo and a chance for the Charlotte Phoenix to reset and refocus try to tie up this series yeah other things with an early attack they're calm able to clean that one out this ball is starting to clear down to the blue half shadow we're gonna put that one into the corner picked up by calm out across the gold Karma's there though able to get away from Stokely - oh whoa control this himself in the corner trying to work around the entire tip oncoming attackers by himself and it worked out to some extent now shadow as karma coming on that's gonna be played all the way back down though and we talked about Charlotte Phoenix getting back in transition to a road did and as a result they're going to be able to fend off this attack for the moment by monkey business shadow to put one out across as he wins that challenge Kuro can try and sneak one in gets a perfect pass out to carmine Karma's there to put that one away they go up 100 here in game number two everybody's got a goal everybody's got an assist for the Charlotte Phoenix has karma gets her first goal of the series he comes with 404 to go in Game two a lot of rocket League to be played but a good sign with a Charlotte Phoenix shado trying to control that ball he was twisting and contorting his car in a bunch of different directions and it didn't work out so he will try again this time it just boom it downfield but Toro can't chase as he's taken out that or this get a touch here in the corner trying to bring it down just an absolute bullet of a pinch coming off the corner there sends it across they do maintain possession carpet now trying to set one up for Toro I'm gonna get broken up by Stokes it is calm trying to get by shadow and they've gone to the well one too many times shadow not fooled this time now Karma look in the center just could not get up off the ground again quick enough to enter Oh have that played out by gone they are trying to get this ball in from the left-hand side and Charlotte Phoenix wins the war of attrition another win on the pass here to get the first defender out of position shadow puts it right up into that corner right in the transition it just bounces it right into the hand the carve up easy punch in I mean that's just imposing your will at that point they tried to bring the ball in from the left it got set back out they tried again it got sent away they tried another couple of times and finally karma gets a shot off on target and in the net breaking down the defense of monkey business now they have a 2-1 lead to show for their efforts but they have to hold on to it and holding monkey business off the scoreboard has been quite the challenge for the Charlotte Phoenix this is passed out to a on his shots not going to be near the target but the pressure remains as that ball is brought back in by Stokely the shot is wide and clear yeah Carmen give demo they're trying to pop it up out for another time Turo gonna get one crossed over and hey I'm gonna pick it up tries to get it out the stove he's broken up my shadow well hey I just ran out of time there he had defenders bearing down on him on either side finally I had to get the pass off and it was intercepted now you see the demos come out a couple of demos against the Charlotte Phoenix they took out one in the net they took out karma a moment ago it has not yielded any tangible benefits yet scoff trying to get a piece of karma again but she does clear the zone that is dangerous though from monkey business and a costly mistake another open net shot here coming up for for Charlotte Phoenix they close out on one away after a double commit there on the left side in the corner they're definitely looking better here on the offensive half one of the things I am noticing is that they're getting a much better spread across the field here on these clears they've been able to pick up a lot of clear they've had something on each wall every time monkey business has tried to clear a ball out and again karma coming in already down that wall and banging it right back into the corner yes stokeley had said on Twitter earlier today that he believes in this demon he can he can feel a lot of success coming on but that was not the team to be passing to as it turns out shadow up fer 90 and the hits keep on coming we talked about the belt that beat some of the highest scoring players in the league last season and they're finally showing that here game number two 141 remains in a game that can't end soon enough for a monkey business as they have watched their lead in this series go well bye side Charlotte Phoenix well on their way to tying things up at a game apiece to interrupt look at the flip reset but that's all they got as the shots not gonna get through now shadow look at the add more and that will not happen again churros right there once again to pick up that clear get that ball moving karma now coming up for the challenge against a on misses it taro is gonna get a touch but that moves it out into the middle off the backboard possible shot gray on and he's gonna put it away well start the timer here 68 seconds to get three more goals it is not unheard of but quite unlikely but to get four you got to get one first and that's credit to monkey business not giving up on this game just yet out the gate here monkey business gonna take control out of the kickoff shadows gonna get up with that one down karma Hardy in the air gets a touch it that's gonna be another open net great shot follow up there from karma 5-1 make that a little bit tougher we need four goals in 58 seconds yeah and probably not going to happen either monkey business they they kind of got caught in between okay are we gonna challenge this or not oh she's already up it's too late and by the time anybody jump it's like one of those jumps you make just to make it look like you're kind of going for the ball but really you know you're beaten by that point and Charlotte Phoenix have answered back with authority as we play up these final 45 seconds as little more than a formality calm around the corner no stop by George Errol and that's been the theme for the Charlotte Phoenix they have won the battles around those corner boards and they have not given monkey business much room to breathe at all stokeley gonna try to clear this one out Turo there to get the touch karma for a shot a on there to greet her another shot on goal coming out of Charlotte Phoenix farm I'm finally gonna lose one of these 50s here in the corner but Toro is gonna come in and pick it right back up out in front of the goal again a on feed that man on the team to try and get these clears out of there and these final few seconds will mercifully tick away don't leave it turns off that ball like forget it they'll pad their demo stats and that's about it the Charlotte Phoenix boy did they ever answer back they they definitely woke up there they're a little sleepy there in game number one they had a okay first half fell apart in the second half but I don't know what conversation they had in the in-between but they are back and slaying you're the susquehanna Sonics they tried not getting many shots they tried not getting any shots that worked out but you get one then it's really tough to win oh you know first you said if you got to get one to get four sometimes you just got to get one to get one and that's how it happened there yeah shots one coming out of monkey business versus 14 out of Charlotte Phoenix yeah that's just absolutely dumb levels of offense from the Charlotte Phoenix and no monkey business they did not look like themselves at all they looked like they were that was a different team from game yeah they looked like they were on edge the whole game and you saw it with that one ball that Stokely went for inexplicably going towards his own net plays it right out in front two I think there were two attackers just waiting there for it it's like they're just dangling fresh meat over a Piranha pit like okay sure almost all of those shots were balls that came off of a pass and went right across the front of the goal line so that goal line just isn't getting proper defense or you're indeed up in situations where these guys are double committing on the goal line and it's just turning it into a completely open net well the third player is still out picking up boost so we've had two very very different games to say the least what does game 3 have in store for us that is anybody's guess what we're about to find out tiebreaking game as they are not enough at one apiece and as former member of splice and former sub of the char that Phoenix is so fond of us saying it is now effectively a best-of-three here in our second match of north america I'm gonna put that one out to a on I'm just gonna come back across the field straight back down into the orange half and they're gonna start taking control a on a little slow recovering going for that ball so now karma gave this a look but the car gets there instead karma just a little indecisive but it's good enough to stop the attack of monkey business and how shadows all the way downfield but there is calm to intercept and he's still there up very quickly for this a on lurking behind him path will not find him those two Rhetor Oh collect I'm gonna get out their head a car but get the demo that's gonna leave it for stove liters gonna beat up trying to get a shot on goal knocked away by a on court what a save by a r2 he is in no-man's land there that's why they picked him up hey because he's just one of the best players available but be his defensive presence is something that they had to replace when they lost Dino and they have well they have done the trick at least so far where they are hey I'm gonna try and touch one out across the mid Stokely not a field enough to be able to make a play on that ball it's gonna fall into the hands and calm as he throws it up above karma karma with a rare miss off the backboard there that ball is gonna get cleared down calm down looking to try and paint you back out that arrow is gonna get ahead it looks like it's gonna be good you're gonna have anybody there to make a play though shadow over to karma this will go back down fielders shadow gives chase a little one to play does not work out for the Phoenix they don't extend their lead just yet it will keep a little more pressure on monkey business looking for shadow again well intercepted and karma have to play it off to the corner there is a monkey business attacker waiting though calm a on and Stokely continued to turn up the heat trying to get a gold back here and tie up this game balls up in the open Tarot is gonna be there to try and knock it down look leichter oh baby trying to put it down on the carve a farmer goes ahead pulls off that one to go get some boost though stokeley to carve a karma down off the top not gonna catch the ceiling I think shadow wasn't hoping for that to cry and get a really nice ankle down karma will try to get back quickly to her own defensive end there are a couple of orange cars waiting for her but does well to at least get this out of harm's way for the moment that's how it's gonna be well why no follow-up as Toro make sure that goes safely to the corner he does get tangled up with shadow that puts shadow in a real awkward spot karma doesn't have any boosts to work with either shadow does now but duro plays that all the way through again you look at Charlotte Phoenix every time we focus on welcome there on zero boost and they're on it for quite a while Neuros used all of his just to try and get that fall to karma so at least they're able to keep monkey business off the scoreboard but for how much longer one of the things I'm noticing also is they're going through they're stealing all this boost leaving Charlotte without any but they're so focused on stealing the boost that they're not getting the plays on the ball Tom went by picked up two of the boost pads and didn't take anything just drove right past a ball stokeley will try to force his way through but he doesn't have any boost to aid him in that corner this could get to the ceiling it does not and now turn churro will take his time goods entering batsman Carmen come up too far and that's gonna fend off another attack Aion can he play the hero got the flip reset the shots high and wide and blocked away even further by karma three seconds left one more clear as all they need but a on is there to meet this ball can he get it in front no he can't and the Charlotte Phoenix take two in a row not as decisive as we saw in gate number two but their defense they're even under as you were saying they were boost star for a good portion there at the end they were always at zero boost but that rotation stayed solid there was always somebody there in the goal to defend and they didn't get pressured by the fact that they were out of boost a lot of times you'll see players start well I got it I need the boos I got to get out of here there's somebody near the net I'm gonna take off and go grab this boos very disciplined at the fact that they made sure they had somebody there for defense at all times one goal in the last we'll call it roughly what about 11 minutes of game flakes I don't think monkey business got anything in the final minute against Charlotte Phoenix in Game one so boy final minute was pretty close in the final two they got that one goal yeah so you're looking at a quite the drought here that the Charlotte Phoenix have forced upon monkey business and we talk so much about these two teams and all the offense that they bring to the rival series that game going one nothing and it was a clinic on the part of Charlotte Phoenix absolutely and it fell on the defensive side of that they handled defense extremely well didn't let pressure get to them maintain composure you've got the lead that's all you need to do at that point defense under what is it they say defense wins games or wins championships it wins matches - yeah individual matches it comes down to it if your defense can hold strong and keep the other team from scoring then offense doesn't have to do as much well let's see what the offenses can do in Game four it has to do quite a bit for monkey business you would think to keep them alive in this series they start things off it is calm taking that hand off there will be a on popping one up and shadow is all about this blade saw it from a mile away and now comes in a really tough spot using all of his 36 boosts to get anything at all and he didn't get very far to begin with bought himself a little bit of time for the team though so for the completely waste it was able to get the ball out off the wall nothing really coming of it once they did get it down field though back into defense territory now it's gonna get bombed out into the corner stokeley gonna be there to get the pinch off the wall and start sending that to the blue half played over towards Toro his shot is just wide and that's an opportunity I'm sure he'd like to have back especially now that you have a chance to close out monkey business and get early momentum in Game four now karma lets that bounce and the demo coming from Stokley blows up the play now a on heel challenge in the corner got this ball in front that it actually got a deflection the attack stays alive for monkey business but not for too much longer Harmon trying to get one up stokeley already three jump that was in the air looking for not able to get a piece of and Otero off the backboard third man not there to make a play on the ball karma gonna be a break that one up before Stokely get sanitaire gonna put one on bad calls there to make the save downfield this will go and karma will take it in the corner now calm over to a on well read by Toro now shadow solo play this will drop down can he finish no karma now trying to send up for Toro at instead a on gets there at time of all that just come there for an eternity I think there was an opportunity there for karma to try and make that pass play decided to take it herself I think if she'd put that off the backboard of him in an open net therefore Toro split-second decisions though they're tough to me that's why they get paid the big bucks and weed or not this is gonna pinch on target from karma and Turo that one sent home 80 mile-per-hour fastball you hate to see it when you're on the defensive half no way calm even has time to see that one coming there's nothing you're gonna do sometimes those goal just happen you need to shake it off and just get back in the game even torment would have watched that one going yeah this is not a friendly hat play Zord works out for the Charlotte Phoenix looking like the best team on paper for a reason coming up on halftime of Game four still a lot of rocket League to be played as karma makes a stop call try to find Stokely he cannot now it's karma and turret Turo they did it again don't fix what's not broken and this thing is not broken it is functioning carbon Turo just run at each other hit the ball it doesn't matter where you are in the field when you're sending balls in that quick nobody's getting there to defend it yeah they took a little bit off of that 178 miles an hour from just about point-blank range a I never had a chance does have a chance to play this ball he does get it to Stokely but they're going the wrong way shadow he got the demo on Tom it looked like Khan was going full bore into him that he's the one who gets taken out now karma with a good challenge their shadow back to Turo had another log to the fire the pressure coming out of Charlotte Phoenix has been just cranking up last match they slowed down a little bit this is looking like Gabe to Charlotte Phoenix that we saw earlier in the series they are just putting heat downfield shadow and Turturro combined for 62 goals last season they have combined for seven here in this series alone Tom try the shadow against shadow try to take him out along the back wall the shadow of the little shadow oh there's the temples you ever played the nd of course they do here is calm up to the skies and karma will have that drop down cuter Oh it's totally gonna pinch that one up down to calm calm with a quick hint down to a on nothing gonna come of that and that gets boomed off the back wall cleared to the orange half Stokely already back to get a touch he's gonna call he's gonna get called off a on comes through since one home three one minute twenty left on the clock they don't two more to stay in this you saw a little bit of it at the beginning of that replay churro was just flopping around like a fish out of water karma trying to get back to that corner boost but by the time that shot came in she had no chance to get back there and unfortunate sequence of events for the Charlotte Phoenix their lead as shrunk down to two but it's still a very comfortable lead now shadow dropping one down and could get really uncomfortable in a moment if monkey business can narrow the gap just a little bit more Sarah I'm gonna grab this one gets it around to down to ports the down towards the goal there but a on is in town he's able to get that block ball open here carbo with a good hit off the backboard there or just off the side wall and get the cleared back down in to the opponent important for Stokely to get that corner boost before he tried to play this ball out of the zone and I'll call all he can do is try to play keep-away and fact he's given the ball away to shadow so a on will boost up he leaves the midfield boost so Stokely can take it that ball falls to Kong definitely coming on no it's saved at the goal line by shadow then the balls now can he return back down to the other side Stokely gonna be able to make it back in time they have a few seconds here to set up the possibility but they need to send a ball down field right now that one just high off the pose Stokely opportunity sends one down but shadow is there to break it up yeah that punch got way too far out in front of Stokely had to realize he had time to dribble down and score like this to give them time it's a goal of no consequence as the Charlotte Phoenix take three games in a row and finally I got one Hey according to the graphic if somebody's watching at home with no audio running I nailed that one unreal unreal you just you just flip-flop back and forth like that who does that on me when I'm panicking man and I just how about look at these numbers it's turbo it's too thick to I wanted to win this game I think Kuro wanted to win all the games but ya know teru teru wanted this one there's something specific about this match that Errol wanted to show up yeah and the last two goals that he scored a combined whether you add them up it was about a hundred and fifty some odd miles per hour on the two one of them was 80 the other one was in the 70 so 150 plus grief hey you know what don't you said it don't fix what isn't broken and it's a matter just keep working what's just keep working whatever is working yeah hey if you can if you can unleash a physics bomb towards the net why wouldn't you I should just do it on every shot I don't know why it people don't just do it every single time yeah it really counting that one I actually have it written down here too that game was like 3-1 because it was at a point that it didn't matter you needed that much earlier in the series Stokely unfortunately didn't get to show up today for him but I I don't think that's gonna hurt him further in the season I think they're still gonna be a very very strong team this season unfortunately you just week one you brought Charlotte Phoenix yeah yeah that is a tough draw to take in week number one but hey there are still two matches left in North America and they are pretty good matches the next one coming up is going to be warriors international up against affinity they've got a lot of news around their roster as well that I'm sure you will have seen over social media over the weekend to unfold the way it has but I think we're closing it out in the right fashion we got na powerhouses coming together it's gonna be a good one yeah and it's kind of shaken up to be a little bit of everything right Stromboli who would have predicted that but on the other hand Charlotte Phoenix kind of business as usual now as we turn the page Jay Wiz mop the other side of that Old Spice squad he's gonna be going head to head versus this affinity guys and this is gonna be the question again we see a new chapter for an old-school player what are you thinking sue B you know I love Jay Wiz montt he's been one of my all-time favorites as far as players that have been in the rival series he always gives his all he's always been one that just leaves it all out on the field but as far as a one-for-one trade Jay Wiz montt for turned her oh yeah that's not an equal trade and I really feel like the Warriors got the short end of the stick in this deal but he does bring that experience buddy and fonda do have pride our previous experience last season it's just how they're gonna work together I don't know I don't know how this squads gonna mesh so we're gonna find out today as we sit at the halfway point of our North American broadcast let's take a look at what else has gone on today as I mentioned a little bit of a surprise with the guys from Stromboli toppling absolute leverage and Charlotte Phoenix vs monkey business monkey business did some things but ultimately Charlotte Phoenix takes it in for so nice look there for match number two later on we'll see chaos esports club go head-to-head against jacob and the boys from 72 PC and for right now we mentioned warriors international and affinity affinity Percy Jordan and magic bear we'll keep an eye on that roster some things in the Lina Lee way right now so we'll keep you posted but spaceman I want you to touch on J Wiz monster chapter are you as positive as sue B is here for the man I am I think this is a perfect opportunity to kind of rebrand yourself and bring yourself back into the limelight let's remember he won season 6 of rival series and he placed third overall over his couple of seasons right he's had experience with splice he was on there for a little bit and then he was on Charlotte Phoenix as a sub so the guys experience all over the board you're on a major organization then you're on a team that has experience and rivals you do get jumped to a new squad but the former nefarious squad that just got picked up you have Thunder and buddy both duo's they're under full metal gaming and they place fifth last year so this is an opportunity for this team to really take a hold on the season again we don't know a whole lot about how they're gonna mesh that's where this entire game can really hold out for them I've got to play devil's advocate here yeah they did really well last season they did get fifth but Turturro was the storyline of their entire team and we just saw what that guy can bring to the field Charlotte Phoenix looked incredible once they got warmed up a team like monkey business couldn't even slow him down so yes J Wisma is good but they're just not gonna have the same firepower that they did last season we've mentioned J Wiz monster name a whole bunch let's see who's gonna be joining him on the team as they take the field buddy and thunder these are the guys that played last season together J Wiz Mont will be joining them and if you're unfamiliar I don't know how J was not around the block a veteran multiple times affinity though Jordan Percy and creams creams will be subbing in here for magic pair for all rookies so this one should be interesting J wisdom on first new team in two years so a tall task let's focus on affinity the artifact friends are going to have an uphill battle as I said but you know there's something special about having an open plate you've got almost no expectations you really don't I mean a little bit about this team if you guys don't know a whole lot other than just some show matches like the GSI show match which they did take we don't have a whole lot on them but they did go undefeated in the plans and that's big because if a young rookie roster was able to come out perform when they need it to to make it in survival series now they're here and you have an unstable roster not mechanically wise but on the other side for warriors an unstable roster that hasn't had a lot of time to gel this is a perfect opportunity for affinity to come in claim their stake and cause some disruption the meta love the way you say that and I couldn't agree more so as we look towards this one warriors international versus affinity I'm gonna ask you to put your chips down young men where's it going sube well this is a tough one because we just got word affinities bringing in a sub but the good thing is they haven't played all season long with their entire roster so bringing a sub at this point isn't detrimental to them but warriors international made a huge move that was the entire talk of this whole death segment was Jay was not Jay Wisma coming on board and for me I don't think it's gonna be enough for them to take the win I'm gonna give it to the rookies of affinity I think they're gonna bring some firepower today I really do love the story of a finish so far but I originally paid warriors international I'm sticking with it I love the fact that we've seen a bunch of old-school players and some veterans come back perform today like crazy I still have that faith in Jay Wisma this is a rebranding period for him it's time to market your abilities again and I like the duality of thunder thunder and butter buddy I really do like their chemistry together and I think that this team has a lot to prove this is their opportunity to show it and I think they can do it I'm glad you brought up greasy monsters team because the European squad kind of has the same echoes I mean exactly what you say I went for warriors international you've got the veteran kind of guiding the mechanically gifted young guns this is is the dream for somebody trying to rebrand re-enter the scene and as we see as we see attempt at the rival series again I think it's just a great look for Jay Wiz Mon so again I go warriors international super you're the lone man I'm the lone man out but you bring up greezy Meister carrying his boys he's got a belt on him on his hips he's a world champ Jay Wiz montt yeah he's playing the are LCS but did he ever play stop for did you ever go to a LAN na that's very that's very annoyed you that I really can't okay all right you know what I cannot wait for Jay ways Mon to come out he's gonna show me up three goals in 12 seconds and we're gonna be talking about on the sidelines you know isn't gonna be his first foray and rocket League that's for sure we'll see how the names of Thunda and Buddy can certainly live up to that height then off the Scots to be Thunda controlling a ball but a nice push from affinity will keep them back on their heels for now as it's up for contestant and Percy's gonna be falling forward it might be a quick goal and but he gets a nice tap and there it is where's international sparing no time no expense they go up one out quickly a good one you see that double commit that an affinity just pulled on the field all three members up in the offensive half and the Warriors international saw wide open goal and buddy strikes first you know I said Jay Wisma would be the guy to strike first in 12 seconds I was entirely wrong it was buddy who comes out immediately a nice demo we'll take fund out of the equation but Jay boys Moniz they're the man of the hour let's see what he can do is the ball sent into the orange corner and affinities back on defense it's gonna be Jordan now following and pursued but it's a quick grab and a hold at midfield is now out of the pass comes over it could be a quick shot off the top post but it doesn't fall us than that oh nice great read by Jordan to finish that ball into the defender knowing that that ball can only go one way and that's directly towards that open net I can't believe you had to wait this long for North America's now they're firing it off on all cylinders and we're seeing the full effect of teams that have yet to play each other but the promise is always there will be interesting to see who's able to grab the ball off the start will off the face-off it's going right into the blue corner but where's one nunavut thunder now following over top but it's knocked away at the last moment and still the pressure from on either side is just too much to bear as a tug-of-war at midfield now a good touch from Percy I didn't think you'd be able to get that angle but puts it right on that back wall and Buddy gets a demo but doesn't lead to offense right away that hard shot Janeway's Mont just off the crossbar as his first attempt and by oh my it was quite the shot Jordan had a little bit of a stutter step but now here comes bunny with a shot and knocked away by Percy he gets a good it off to the side his Wisma will now control the sideboard evil eyes away looking for boost buddies there to follow up with a good head but a wisp on not in position now has to recenter this up all is now up still for J Wisma he looks for one more of its immediately crossed away it's Percy it's ik nice clear down to the corner in fact it's orange we go affinity looking to get out of the defensive hole that they've been in and thunder will still be looking for boost as he roams around but it still pooped two players from affinity knocking it forward two players going forward and two players up in the air Jordan can't get that under the crossbar but double commits could start to be a problem for infinity I'd like to see them get that resolved as quickly as possible now joins at midfield trying to meet Jay Wisma who knocks it up to the side it's good to be carried until first he tried to get a hit he misses but that's okay teammates were there still a little bit of a stutter but 249 to play with and the stalemate continues no one able to break the game over just yet a nice jet shot but it can see if he's on and we're just looking for the boat oh that's a dangerous ball and creams able to get back in time the far post shot from buddy just off of its mark loving the offense right now and again working this ball left to right right to left making affinity start to scramble use a lot of boost this offensive push it was great but Jordan get that ball away just in time and of course Dreamz is the sub coming into this match so he doesn't have as much her on his shoulders that you might expect but it still would be great to see what he's able to do and of course affinity looking to steal Game one as warriors were a bit of the favorites on the desk but for now and still tied one of heats plenty of time it was one staying back waiting for a cross to come over it's a high off the back wall and no one's gonna be following it up so won't be there for the double x but he comes in and intercepts it you might have a perfect opportunity before finally buddy knocks it away that's a dangerous pass and Jordan up in time good cut off from him thunder was barreling down the field it looked like that pass was right on target and again another double commit coming up from affinity but still warriors international has yet to capitalize on that outside of that first goal couple of a cancer that might be one to do it the dagger lays in Jordan with a nice spike down into the middle of the goal and he got a perfect angle the breed was there he comes over the top flies through and a great pass from Persie coming out of the corner he hits that corner beautifully and it brings the ball to the top of the box instead of right in front of the goal mouth forces two defenders out and Jordan with the picture-perfect shot we talked about if entities ability to stay on top of games they drop no series of the play ins and they were an explosive roster we expected good things from them and so far they've been delivering up one on wears international was still about 60 70 seconds to work with that ball still hovering a little bit too dangerously over affinities goal and warriors weren't able to make anything happen and the biggest question mark of this matchup has to be creams you gotta wonder is he gonna make mistakes and body off the post Persie with the last-ditch save buddy can't get it in and Jordan puts it back to midfield Affinity holding on but there's still one minute of gameplay to go everybody ran out of moose you can see one player trying to back off into the goal it just didn't work didn't have enough pressure on the ball there goes a flying cross it doesn't able to connect and now they'll push it downfield Jordan with a quick response in the transitional offense from if anybody could spell disaster insurance cool but for now it's stalled out back into the corner and thought it's gonna knock at home and now we have a two on one break but it's immediately sent back it's a warrior's corner if this lead holds the storyline is gonna be those diving saves that infinity has been able to pull through that one almost in pixels away from a third goal but still affinity keeping pressure on the Warriors ten seconds to go and this ball needs to get down to the orange half how unfortunate would it be if that comes back to fall to haunt them and fight them in the blind but for now buddy not able to make the shot ball just a little bit too close left that walls gonna punish you each and every time ball still up so this is possible but it's got a touch and if it doesn't he's gonna take Game one lock Harry won't get nothing ball still up in the air freaking test Efendi trying to spike it down front over the cross no one's there and this should touch and it does if any of these able still gave one and just tons of scrambling on the defensive and from affinity but somehow they made it work a ton of shots twelve on board for the Warriors international only eight from affinity but that's all that took they just had to weather the storm from the Warriors and the breakout offense was their dreams the sub had an assist two saves three saves couple of shots on goal so clearly stepping up into that several that's exactly what you need from a fill-in player and do you think this makes any question about it let's say Kremes comes out and really over performs do you think you start worrying about maybe some roster potential or are you just worried about the fact that you know you have them there to fill in and that's a good crux to lie on I think it's a good crux to fall on I think you've you you're learning you have a solid sub to rely on but I think you need to stick with the hand that got you in to the rival series in the first place you've got to stick with that team that made it through the play ins they made it through the upper bracket without losing a series so that's that speaks volumes to this team Kremes isn't doing bad by any stretch of the imagination he has an assist he was second place for his team but there were double commits there were questionable hits off that back wall and the Warriors just couldn't capitalize on those yeah Jordan of course leading the scoring with two goals and you guys have probably seen him from the world gaming tournament where we really saw his mechanical ability come out to play so the guy is no no nuance to or I say novice is the right word that is no novice to the high pressure moments not only that but he was able to carry the scoring in Game one moving into Game two again I think you need that consistency from your sub you need that to basically be the storyline for the entire series if you're gonna steal this one cuz where's international or no pushover squad and this is a situation where they could very easily fall behind quickly but this is a decisive game to the momentum swing could be here are they able to bounce back oh great ball coming out from Jordan getting J whiz but off that back wall unfortunately unable to work out for them creams good challenge there keeps this ball neutral in midfield I'm loving the aggression right out of the gates from affinity Game one and Game two they are just pedal to the metal all-out aggression well the same thing as a good defense is a quick offense and you know they want to fall off that same routine what better way to do it they come out and score early and continue that momentum ride Thunder trying to fall back this might be an open goal Elise J was upon us there to knock it away but Percy gonna fall back waiting for creams on the other side Jordan now falling forward he was the goal leader in Game one maybe he follows that same pattern here but the transitional defensive affinity has been so fantastic so far and buddy now trying to recover Jordan gonna carry this one forward and he should have a teammate there to at least help out oh good touch from J whiz Mon good second touch 1v1 opportunity mercy can't get there the pass off the back wall Dunda off the crossbar just off of his mark and once a kin affinity sneaked away with no goal scored on them turtling back his warriors we saw that at the end of Game one now more than ever Jordan with a good hit but it's immediately knocked up I believe he just got a little bit too far to the right of it creams coming with the top and that's gonna be a goal for creams that's gonna be a goal for affinity they come out and they strike early you have to tip your hat to the sub he's able to fly out over right over the defender and puts it downward no one could grab him now superself at this point you got an assist in Game one a goal so far here in Game two this team firing on all cylinders although one of their starters not able to make this game and if your warriors international you got to start scratching your forehead a little bit saying what do we got to do to just get by this team of course this would be a bit of an ego boost for most teams from playing against a sub filling you can steal a game if not series but for now it's the complete opposite affinity of complete control in the palm of their hand is this game of this entire series so far but they're looking at least make this game a mint momentum swing but I'm altering the hit back into the corner demons will be there for affinity buddy just business right underneath but Thunda is there for the challenge he wins it off a pope now pushes it up towards the sidewalk Jordan still waiting he has enough moves to work with but that ball gonna come up right off the top crossbar and Perkins gonna knock it away and we just saw a ball goal from the corner back into the mid off the back wall back to mid if that's a good shot but a better save from Jordan but if the Warriors can just try some infield passes because look at that Jordan is waiting for that this is gonna go off that wall creams is there no problem pass that midfield just like Navis andhe got caught slippin went for boo screams side the Sun with his second goal in game number two what looks like warriors trying to weather the storm of affinity just a little bit all of a sudden an open net leaves a perfect pocket for an opportunity for a free goal and that's the danger no matter how many times you try to weather that storm and find and create spaces you're gonna get caught slippin and what you do that's gonna be an easy goal infinity will as we just get into the second half that's really what the Warriors needed J is one is the guy he is the man that we've all been looking at and wondering what potential was he gonna bring he's got to start getting hot and that's a good way to do it but for now you need more from the rest of your team as affinity does not stop that relentless offense that they've continued to put on throughout the entirety of this series that we're only in Game two let's shot off the wall and we'll hold on I actually might be to go off and get a good hit and it will be Jordan wasting no times gonna jump that one down it just like that I can't another situation where warriors get caught slippin just a little bit they didn't go up for the challenge off that walnut and they try to stack the box you're gonna get punished for the dunk and just mounting pressure leads to that goal first initial shot gets one defender up second shot gets the second and that third shot just goes over the defender that's just sitting in that great pressure from affinity I'm loving what I'm seeing so far James has two goals on two shot missed shooting a hundred percent can't ask for much more than that Persie in the back line is Froning at big field watching it every now and then it looks like he might fly on in here as Jordan try to get a double bit to try to bounce that one up for Percy to smack but it doesn't actually fall forward creams with a good redirect intercepts that at midfield back into the corner of Warriors stunned oohs gonna carry it and try to rally this one for but he gets knocked away and now ball is up for anyone to grab J whiz what now falling forward and it looks like Craig's might be the first one on defense and he could knock it away he does doesn't have enough boosts to follow up that shuts enough for the team to rally back and gain control of their goal that's a good hit by purse he's gonna try to carry this yeah actually my getting double touched off the wall but it's merely knocked away bundle with that redirect says no no no still down by two goals with only 20 seconds sube this could be a tie or Game two of warriors camp on ya and miss plays like that from bloody can't get touch and Percy almost carries it into the net and this game is pretty much chopped in favor of affinity outside of a miracle and not gonna happen affinity gonna take the win here in game number two I am so impressed with the play that we've seen from them just the relentless assault on defense the ability to create those passing lanes and the fact that it didn't stop putting pressure in affinities corner that caused affinity to start with Isis a warrior's corner excuse me that caused the Warriors to play a little bit timid and once that happens I mean you're just waiting for a hole to open up once it does Kremes was there every single time to punch you through affinity doing a fantastic job of not showing the rookie rust we expected well I mean here's your soupy fact for the day do you know what cream stands for what's up cash rules everything around me and guess what you couldn't buy a goal against him he was just on that goal line sending away shot after shot and when he had the opportunity the net was wide open form he did not miss his mark this is what you need to see from players in the rival series the smallest windows are gonna be open for you you're not gonna get many opportunities and when they present themselves you have to bury it other than a couple of defensive plays from funda and Buddy Jay Wisman had one goal but other than that I mean the entire side of warriors has been relatively quiet we haven't seen a lot not only the fact that they're lacking on offense but their defense obviously has some holes in it due to just the nature of the positions they put themselves in it's just continuous pressure from affinity now you got to start worrying your your back forgets the wall crucial game through you lose it you're done for the series you win it you still have a chance I I still can obviously stay with my prediction but I mean affinity there's I very highly doubt they're gonna drop this I mean it's gonna be rough but three games at least to close it out we've seen crazier things happen today we've seen kick games start off like this or series start off like this and it go to game five so it's not outside the realm of possibility but for it to be done the Warriors need to start playing as a team because right now we're seeing a ton of individual effort and all three members do have that mechanical ability to be able to score goals but when you're facing a team like affinity who's just monsters on defense you need some passing place you see thunder vomit up towards that back wall that's not gonna work and this is a team remember Ward is placing fifth and rivals last season so there are no shortcomings there is there these are no pushovers and the fact that they're getting blown out in this series is quite a story and let's say the least but cranes immediately follows that push up no one's there Jordan now trying to roll it dodge but he gets taken out of the air a nice demo from warriors let's see what they can follow it up with but right now the ball still on their hash now I like the patience here from Jay Wiz month that's good he gets it around two defenders there but no follow-up on that play and this balls right and the top of the box screams fires a shot Nunda can't get the touch Oh Jay Wisma for the carry all the way down feel good catch around one around two but there's creams sending it into the corner while thunder and Buddy were not far behind I just didn't see enough from that Crossing Patrick sometimes you need a player come over and Center trying to create some distance but again affinity able to come back on transition defense steal it away and they continue to put pressure back into the blue corner and that's one of the things about if idiot that's so great is their ability to intercept these passes and continue to create breath if I go here and there it is buddy finally getting something the scoreboard with a nice goal as the good 50/50 win and creams going up for the challenge you see buddy turn his car to the side and angle that hood forward getting as much power as possible on that ball and it just takes a couple points to get out of the way and it'll go into the back of the net I know when we're talking basketball football baseball whatever it is sometimes you just need a lucky bounce key role to go your way and it shifts the momentum maybe that's that lucky bounce that they need because that goal certainly was a bit of a gimme but for now you got a ride that way all the way down to a game three victory are they able to do it they have to continue to fall off of the church goals Tonto looking to put a stop to that as he directs it right back into the orange corner still looking for one I believe they had across there my buddy was just a little bit too far out of position in the front I don't think he had the boost hi there now first he's gonna knock it away and try to get out of this 50 Jordan with a good hit it's gonna send it down you can still love what we're seeing we're seeing passing plays trying to develop and the Warriors just doing so well on offense now it's a complete turnaround from this team they're in complete control not only in this match but their midfield their back half their front half they're running this board right now what fun does try to follow it up and that's a booming clear to the other side and I believe a player is there what he is able to stop it's another one and creams the man of the hour that's his new title he ties this game up at one apiece and you see the clear triangle up and Jordans following and just spice it back down to the ground right into creams laughs and he just puts it right between the sticks and just like that we have a tie ballgame Dreamz has three if not four goals in this series that is the perfect sup role you could ever ask for three is confirmed that's everything you could want now tied at one apiece still time to work with but this is do-or-die moment for warriors you need to start breaking away in some fashion creams looking to add another what to do get Holly will know he gets knocked away I thought for a second we might be looking the 2-1 deficit what a defensive stance there from Buddy good pass from Thunder but unfortunately buddy was already back going for the boost good idea of a creams time given to him get the flick overhaul in bunda there for the diving save about for a moment we might see another ESPN highlight reel but cream just like a tan and there goes Jay Wiz Mont the man to now on the side of warriors still up by just a goal you need a bit of more insurance but we talked about J was one having to come huge that's a situation where you need him to step up he does can they rally this to a win this is do or die I don't even know where J Wisma came right there but II was in the right place at the right time and just put that ball on target fun that got pushed out of the way well it looked like a little bit of a bump playing shark at midfield trying to get in way of these passes done is up can't get that double tap as Percy was already on that back wall good defensive positioning from affinity buddy now coming in ball still up creams is there he sends it back into the corner it's gonna be buddy therefore the team Jordan does get a nice hit but you can tell they were setting up for something big that's a big hint from buddy but don't worry this sub is there to redirect now ten seconds you need a goal here if you're infinity you still got some time but it doesn't look good we could be going to Game four and we should be when this ball hits the ground not gonna happen just yet ball still in the air off the back wall great defense from J whiz Monty hit it down and let that ball just end the game warriors international clawing their way back into this match but they still have an uphill battle that's for sure yeah you guys see if you've had to jail usman of course coming in and getting the tiebreaker goal but I didn't see anything wrong with how it Finity played this I just didn't get a couple of good shots other than that the frame is played great Jordan was in all the action again still affinity in control of this series but a good response from warriors you needed that game obviously to not go home but for now still it's still too close to call the problem I've seen with warriors is a little bit timid on offense we saw some great passing plays and the setup was perfect but it took a little bit too long to develop if any he was continuously relentless and that's what I see from them yeah once they changed their gameplay of going into the corners looking for offense and changed it to hey we're gonna pass the ball at midfield whether it be up midfield to a player waiting for it we're gonna dribble it into the zone or an infield pass off of the sidewall they're making affinity with like whoa wait we have to change our game so we've got to play a little more aggressive on defense we can't just block the front line of the goal and affinity you didn't really know how to react but I can tell you one thing if Warriors are gonna win this game they have to have fun to show up yeah three games so far not one goal not one assist he's doing his part yes but he needs to do more if he wants his team to be able to take this win and take this reverse sweep from affinity yeah he's there on defense for sure but sometimes you can't just be there right contribute not saying he won't but you definitely need a little bit more maybe they're able to do it you can game for they certainly need to if they want to push this this series the distance but for now it's into the corner of warriors and gonna be there in Winkle number one okay Orton there you go dumps it off the hood of buddy going for the catch and just spikes it far post defender no way he's gonna reach that one and ten seconds is all it takes for affinity to take the lead in Game four seeing how hard it took warriors to work to be able to get that goal in the last game the fact that affinity has come out here early and immediately stole the show with that quick goal for Jordan that puts so much pressure on warriors to respond and take the lead let's see if they're able to do it well the assault continues Percy is there and I believe one player got bumped that was Jordan now creams has to fall back on the offense the transition is great from affinity but it's just off the crossbar on the side that wall coming in just a little bit too strong and we're still looking for another hit it's not gonna be there everybody has it I'd love to that move from Thunder those beautiful creative play to get the shot unfortunately just a little too wide Tunde hits that ball backwards but buddy was waiting Percy saw that ball coming out just couldn't get the angle to put the shot on target could come another opportunity as Jordan wasn't able to make and connect look dangerous for a moment creams as their Oh Baidu defenders a demo and Percy punches it in that I don't know how in the world they made that work but they did it and you gotta tip your hat to these guys but he just gets absolutely ear hold here taken off the field didn't expect that one and Percy with the easiest shot he's gonna see all season long absolutely calculated you know Crim's is probably like i have no idea how that demo just happened but hey there's an opportunity and that is a gut punch to warriors that has got to sting but you can't let it affect you mentally for so long you need to start responding maybe this is an opportunity it's knocked away here comes thunder well Jamie's been on the mid clear but it's still there now Percy following up his Jordan hits it back it's a warriors base all creams could have an opportunity but no it's knocked away at the last minute [Music] Driss sitting in the middle of this goal I got it I'm under control push it up they're basically daring warriors to come after them they're daring them to make a play and right now Warriors have no response if I'm up two goals in the series and I have a game on you yeah I'm gonna say the same exact thing but still plenty of time left for the Warriors that can absolutely come back from this one three minutes in rocket League is an eternity but not if three goals go in and that was almost one for affinity it could be another devastating blow to this Warriors roster if that goal falls in Jordan sitting in the back line waiting for dick ting he goes up for the head he gets sent back to the corner back behind Kremes is in their dreams is on the other side here he comes knocks into the opposite side and again they're just burning time trying to get a couple of shots down on goal Persie knocks it away still up for grabs Jordans there he's gonna carry it forward and it looks like first he might have a good end that could be perfect for Kremes he isn't able to get the dunk down and sent back to midfield I've got to say I'm very impressed with affinity that cleaned up their double commits after Game one outside of that I don't think I've seen any Game one it looked like it was gonna be an issue all series long and after that nothing their rotations are crisp and clean and perfect Jordan gets that ball up and almost gets the ball down but they still hold on to offensive pressure we talked about rookie teams having a little bit in unsure presence on the field sometimes they don't want to commit too much but you don't really see that from affinity I mean they are playing like a pro squad they are absolutely dismantling warriors and when I'm sure as a surprise for most I know you picked affinity to come through and they are showing you why they're picked was correct because they are just absolutely blowing warriors off the map and right now the pressure continues as thunder is trying to create some kind of presence but for how long can you keep up that defensive hold at some point it's gonna crack you know people say defense wins championships and while that can ring true if you don't score any goals you're not gonna win any games and right now they just can't find a goal that shot of never gonna go in not in the rival series that has got to be something else and creams great challenge they're just making the warrior scramble using booze burning time off the clock this affinity team looking like they can shake up the rival series that's for sure we definitely set it in the pregame we said if this team can show up you have no idea the kind of caliber they can bring to the entire league I am so surprised just how Kremes is playing this entire series I mean the guy has got to be the MVP for right now affinities still have a two-goal lead and it's an insurance policy now as Kremes tries to make that a third percy over the top hits it off the back wall Remus doesn't even follow up Jordan they're back into the corner with only 30 seconds to work with if you're warriors you need a goal about now to make this someone realistic this could be an opportunity but no one player was there to challenge it was creams and now affinity half control backhand warrior side now they need one literally right now they have to score on this Drive thunder puts it on target and there it is he answers the call and put the Warriors within one said you need to come up big now it's time for buddy and JV spot to follow suit answer the call they're down a goal you got 14 seconds we've seen crazier things happen your series is on the line go big or go home this is a clutch kickoff here oh they win it for now but buddy's coming over the top he didn't have the numbers they're only nine seconds what can they do Jay weighs Mont with a poke down he's able to carry in so got me there for the cross no I think he got bumped out it was fund up who didn't get the angle and now it's gonna be sent back and it could be a Claire that's so so deadly and that should be the series no just over the head of Thunda and affinity hold on for the win taking the series three to one over the veterans squad of the Warriors Thunda had an opportunity he got bumped away and we talked about great defense Howard wins you need to have great office to facilitate the defense to get you in the position to have great defense and there it was they bump him out of the way banda had a great goal but when it mattered most he was just in a bit of a precarious situation and they fall there then I will tell it up and got a tip my hat to affinity I mean I thought that this was gonna be again a rookie squad coming in with rookie mistakes absolutely not they completely blew my expectations out of the water well it was a rookie squad in Game one but they learned we're in the big leagues now real quick and you were talking about creams in the pre pre show are we gonna see this guy the entire season should he play and I said no give the magic bear of the chance he's the guy that made it through the play ends I might be eating my own words right now because he had three goals and two assists and in my opinion was everywhere on the field like a saves crossing patterns saves assists goals redirects interceptions I mean the guy did everything he was the MVP of the series no question about it and I know that again we were saying yeah like he's just a sub obviously he's supposed to be there to help them win but when you over perform then you start calling in question wait a minute we just swept a very good team off the map and I know they took a game but I mean it was not close this is a situation where if I'm affinity I'm feeling good I got options now I can look at creams or my normal starter what do I got I just I'm surprised well we just saw a massive manager and next to me some of the best of the business sube and space man still holding it down and hold it a town last match that's exactly what we saw that was nutty and I love the rival series for that fact that we get to see these rookies come in and you never know what to expect from them you are they gonna be good are they gonna be bad are they going to beat mechanical gods are they gonna be this team that passes the ball up and down the field and we just got an answer for one of those teams affinity that was very fun to watch I think one of the things I love so much about today and I think this this entire season going forward the rookies have showed up I mean they have completely rewritten what I expected from them and I picked a couple I got picked block block early and I picked a couple these rookies to stand out I should have stuck with that because affinity again these guys have no pressure on them now they've just completely wiped the slate clean they've come in they look like they're playing like professionals I am just so impressed and creams the man they substitute her now we're wondering about his spot on the roster he was an absolute superstar we were talking about how we had some veterans and some newbies and this next match is no miss is no different either Jacob are gonna be one of these I mean most celebrated players in rocket League history here play with demo and lion blades and then across the way Cassie Sports Club taroko mech toes and corrupted G bringing the same team they played with last time around so honestly this one all eyes are gonna be on Jacob so let's talk about the black and green real quick Cassie Sports Club Kuroko Meadows I love how they kind of dominate this 2v2 world and they add a third this time around and last season it was corrupted G space man what's your take on this squad I really think again I didn't get to see a whole lot of them so I'm still looking at their personality as a team but I do know that like we've seen some of these pros be peppered out you know former players in the or I'll see us now falling down at the rivals corrupted G placed third with eg at Dreamhack Dallas last year so the guy's been at the top of the game he's been at a major tournament with a major organization again a situation where some of these former our LCS player calm down they start getting a group around them they can make a run I'm really excited to see what chaos can do because this is the team from last season again I believe they place around fourth but still you bring in a player who has major experience that's a good thing for this young team I love the fact again bringing up the fact the they're the 2v2 that add the third sometimes that can be a bad dynamic because you're kind of locked into that twos but here with corrupted G this is kind of their second shot right this is one of the the second play that they've added to their 2v2 and I think this kind of now seems like a full team yeah you've got corrupted G who like Jacob has six seasons of our LCS experience he has that under him and last season I mean chaos eSports Club started slow and they lost to the best teams in the rival series they couldn't take down the top dogs they did beat bowls and last season who was a very dynamic team but when it came to the best of the best they couldn't get the job done so that has to be the difference-maker this season they have to be able to take down the number one two three if even if they're number one you got to be able to take down two and three if you want to be the best of the best and that might be who they're going up against Jacob demo cat and line blaze demos a great player in his own right like I said most eyes on Jacob real quick what can you say about 72 PC well real quick I can say welcome back Jacob that I mean it has been two long seasons without him it's great to see him finally make his way back and he has a great supporting cast behind him he's has demo who has rival series experience and then lion blaze a rookie coming in very dynamic very high-powered offense all over the board from this team 72 pin connecter has been trying to make it into the rival series for so long they finally found that puzzle piece of Jacob that just pushed him far enough forward yeah and Jacob has a blunt leg we talked about veterans having experience in the RLC yes I mean Jacob Curt was on NRG of course the ranked defending champions while he wasn't on that specific roster he's still under the organization a couple of first place wins in some majors and he placed fifth through six with rogue in 2018 during some of the RLC yes so the guys performed at a top level near the top five has plenty of experience to go with then you have demo who has a couple of first-place finishes and some weekly cups he comes in formerly under upper 90s sports last season where he placed 10th in the rival series so you're bringing a high-caliber player with a player who's sitting near the bottom of the pack but has potential put them together you're obviously looking at at least an equilibrium somewhere maybe this is where they can really find their stride and bring it forward again the storyline of the of the day honestly na EU has been new chapters new experiences Jacob playing for the 72 pin connecter team by the way it's a community organizer sitting oh they're real yeah well as well shopping for an organic regulates - affinity who actually just got picked up by Omni nation so orgs all around Jacob and his team looking for one as well as we get into this next matchup again chips on the table baby is it Jacob or is it corrupted gee you know I love watching Jacob play and there's always been this term surrounding Jacob just Jacob doing Jacob things but one thing that's always been an issue with me is Jacobs rotations he'll sometimes cut people off he'll go for balls that maybe he shouldn't go for and two seasons out of rocket league is a long time so because of that I have to go with chaos eSports they've been together in the rival series they know what it takes to get the job done I think this time around they're gonna be able to take down these top teams I'm looking at 72 PC at least one of us is gonna be right that's what works out yet but I'm looking at 72 PC again I do have some faith in Jacobs ability he's been tested at the highest level yes that time off might sting a little but I don't think that rust is going to going to evolve into something where he may be becomes a detriment to the team I don't think it's gonna be a thing like that and looking at demo he had a couple of hat tricks in Game one and then in Game five of his planes and they didn't really drop any series so I think that consistency from demo liking it with Jacob who's a veteran and then you have lime blaze on the other side I just think that this team is really well stacked to handle anything but they're thrown love the stats I'm a people person man and I Stax's the the wrestling fan right Jacobs the face right you like the good guy you want to see the nice guy win so I got to go 1772 pin connectors I think the Jacob here I'm here for the storyline I'm here for the resurgence I'm here to see Jacob back so let's do it man I think that 72 can drive it you know I respect that a lot I do respect that a lot but but you're on the side of snacks no I can't really go for that I've been throwing shade on them all day but you know I love stacks he's one of the best in the business but this is gonna be interesting because we watched the play ends we pretty much all watched them together we were chatting together and one issue I saw was 72-pin Connect that is gonna be I'm gonna say 72 PCC is pretty good let me say that one one issue I saw was high-powered offense yeah that's for sure but their defense is susceptible to those poor clears that go right into the hands of the opponents I want to see if that's gonna be an issue today yeah and you were telling me they had some troubles with double commits that's one of the problems they had on defense was just getting the ball out of their zone and when they did double commit they were missing the hits they were missing some of those connecting shots and that's really where windows open up of opportunities for the other side to come in and knock holes down so they got to work on their defense but again we saw high-powered offense really be the story of the last series that's where I'm banking on them to close the deal even if it's a close game that's where I'm looking I'm expecting a high octane match kse Sports Club versus 72 pin connectors one more time sube space man stranger take us away sube has been a wonderful day being with you it's been so many good match and head off for him because this is a long-standing community and just congratulations to them for finally making it in and if you're right now 72 PCG working getting Jacob settled into his role or to try to look to set him up for plays where he can start contributing and give that rust off I say work around Jacob whatever he wants to do allow him to do it he has just mechanical capabilities that is for sure so let him get comfortable and work around it the lion boys is gonna carry that one out I feel like we haven't talked a lot about him but he could be the crucial x-factor a third guy quietly in the shadows is an unsung hero and he was able to carry towards fit now into the corner of chaos aspectos is gonna boom that one towards man he's gonna have a beautiful carry but it is knocked away at the last moment it corrupted Jeep sending it back it is knocked away lion blaze is there for the redirect and he gets the poked out so far back and forth action but chaos esports and corrupt ajit definitely have had the upper hand on offense but many of the gameplay isn't a good in a way to judge an entire series especially with the amount of nerves that you were talking about all the cars that these players have and what's up their sleeve we don't know but I'm excited to find out and I think the series really could go the distance no I'm most loving how close this entire all it takes and the rival series you make one mistake a team's gonna punish you and if you want to get to the our LCS you have to play perfect ruggedly you can make zero mistakes yep maybe these are the players who were to make those zero mistakes 72 of course takes 81 I know could have been a quick goal to start Game two but for now still the momentum swing that this game could be in eks esports what chaos need to do they have the bowl to go just play back play great transitional defense and allow them to try to get aggressive they've been missing a lot of their hits and just keep knocking the ball away for a clear just let that sand fall through the hourglass that's all you have to do because there's only a finite amount of it and 30 seconds remain good shot off the bat wallet they're not even pressuring it they're just trying to burn time at this point they're trying to keep the ball inside 72s corner so any possible hit you can have it would have been great torunka with another save now carry towards midfield it's immediately shot away by demo but all of that execution all of that energy is being spent has led to nothing six seconds in the series is over Game five was all of chaos esports and game 5 belongs it's a corrupt Ajit taroko and the entire chaos esports crew what's going in their first match up in their first series of the rival series told you guys last season they started just Lo and that's not what they wanted I know these guys and I know the type of players they are that's not what they wanted to do they knew the importance of coming out today and getting a win especially against one team that has potential to be great in this league I mean watching these two guys go head to head this was this was the type of match that I mean you tuned in for back and forth and back and forth I mean I I don't even know really where to start here you guys were in the trenches space man what's your biggest takeaway from this win I honestly think if this was like a best-of-seven you know it's Raley you see like a best of 11 series but if this was like the best of seven series I genuinely could have been the opposite way I mean this was about as close game to game as I've seen even with 2o wins and 2o leads a perfect chess match we've seen today we've seen blowouts today we've seen teams show up we didn't expect we see teams come through that started creating rhythms we didn't expect the synergy between these two squads was head to head perfect on every single play a couple of defensive mistakes from 72 of course that's something they can work on but at the end the day even with that loss if I'm 72 I'm going back home thinking we had a great showing there's stuff to work on but this was a fantastic match between these two teams and I'm excited to see them go ahead ahead in the future I love that thought process they're spaceman because at the end of the day I mean rival series championship series either way it's a marathon it's not a sprint how long can you do it man so like spaceman said over here sube you know one loss how much does it mean 72 pin connectors what's what's the big picture here big picture is yeah it's only one loss and that doesn't sound terrible especially against a team that has potential to end in the top three top four for sure they did that last season but in the big picture one loss can mean everything we saw that last season where teams all they needed to do was have another team get a win or a loss against their opponent and it didn't happen so they're out of it due to one loss so this could rear its ugly head at the end of the season for 72 PC could come back to haunt them but I think anything but haunting fir across the way chaos eSports looked real real clean like we said there was some back and forth there and so when they were when when they had their struggles 72 was able to correctly capitalize that's why they're here in the rival series but watching them succeed here for chaos they've got one win and I expect to see many more as we continue on through the rest of the season four match is done let's take a snapshot of the league and see where everybody stands here like I said Stromboli Charlotte Phoenix affinity and of course chaos esports club they're the winners today and then 72 warriors monkey and a blimp will wind up on the bottom side omelet zookeepers have yet to play this is of course just one day of competition so much more to really keep in mind yeah and affinity really really just made me scratch my head and say maybe I don't know what I'm looking at because these guys are something special I was not expecting the showing that they brought forward it was very fun to watch it and all day just as a fan of rocket League great matchups the today was fantastic yeah really really clean self affinity there again one more time congratulations now known as Omni nation spaceman you know it's our first time here on the yeah na what's your takeaway today honestly I'm just surprised at the difference between North America and the European region I mean EU was a bunch of rookies coming in there was a lot of upsets it was very quick gameplay very fast-paced and some of the interactions they had on the field we're talking about like redirects or intercepts on those long passes it was all very chop chop chop chop chop and I expected some of that because they are rookies but I also expected a little bit slower gameplay that's what I got a lot out of this North America these North American teams right yeah I mean you're looking at Affinity who did come out stunned a little bit but just again harping on the fact that chaos in that entire match this was the slow kind of methodical play we expected to see from a bunch of these teams and I felt like North America just from the teams we've seen today of course it could change but it was a it was a little bit less choppy than the European region I felt that something some Kings were a little bit more worked out these teams again have some veterans on their sides and they've been here before they've been through the gauntlet so that's always going to play their factor but I'm just surprised at the different play styles and maybe when they start playing each other that's when games can get absolutely crazy and who knows what's gonna happen I mean that's really what the fun is here the rival series we're gonna tie a knot on this one and toss it aside fantastic matches here both North American and Europe of course above us is gonna be the RLC us and that airs tomorrow join
