MY TRAVEL ESSENTIALS: life changing travel must haves for flights, short & long trips! ✈️

[Music] foreign welcome back to my channel if you're new here hello and welcome it's so nice to have you I have such a big pile of stuff next to me that I am so excited to share with you today they are all of my absolute travel Essentials that I cannot go without I have so many different types of bags and toiletry stuff little things that just make my travel so much easier and more efficient let's go ahead and Dive Right In I know this is like the shortest intro that I've ever done in my life but I just don't want this video to get too too long because I have a lot to go through this video is not going to include any luggage or any type of suitcase if you guys want a separate video for that I'm more than willing to do so just let me know in the comments but this is just going to be kind of my carry-on bags and backpacks and that sort of thing I have two types of duffel bags to show you that I absolutely love and I like carrying duffel bags as my personal item so on most flights I believe they allow you to bring a check-in bag that can be like a rolling suitcase that's on the smaller size and then a personal item with you which can be a purse or a duffel bag anything that can fit underneath your airplane seat I believe these two bags are kind of my go-to's for that personal bag item the first one I recently used on my New York trip and it is just amazing so I have to share this with you it is the calpak duffel bag I love this color it's kind of that really pale rose pink I'm not really huge on pink but this just makes me happy for some reason and the bag itself is just so awesome this is the most lightweight duffel bag I have ever carried in my life so this just makes transporting things so much easier even if I stuff this bag to the brim the weight of the bag doesn't add to it you know what I'm saying because I feel some bags are just so heavy that it just becomes impossible to carry around especially for someone like myself who is weak and on the petite side I just love when bags are lightweight I get really tired having a heavy bag on my shoulder and I just feel like this is the perfect bag for someone like me because it is made out of this like really lightweight kind of nylon puffy bag material it is very flexible doesn't have too much structure which I like because you can really stuff this bag and carry a lot with you if you wanted this is especially good for people who do a lot of overnight trips it also does have a trolley pass which is so so nice because if you do use this as a personal item you can just slide it right onto your carry-on it also has really amazing compartments inside and a lot of zippered compartments as well for security overall this I give it an A plus plus it is so so good the next I'm gonna throw this to the side I don't have a lot of room in the Army the next duffel bag I have here is by July they're kind of like base Manos you know uh calpec that kind of brand it is kind of beaten up a little bit it's because I just like squashed it in my closet but this is also kind of like the same concept I will say this is a little bit heavier Duty so I feel like it's more durable and has a little bit more structure to it it fits so so much stuff but the only downside of it is that it's a little bit heavier than the cow pack but it's not really a bad thing because it is more durable I feel it keeps its shape a little bit better obviously not right now because I did just take it out of a crammed closet like the cow pack this has so many amazing compartments it also has a little slot for your laptop and I don't know this is a dark bag so I'm not sure if you can even see inside of it but it has zippered pockets and it also has an external pocket that has a zipper that goes all the way across so you can put like your phone or like passport easy to access things in there and the strap app is like such heavy duty really great quality I just feel like whenever I pack my stuff in here that it's a little bit more safer I don't know for what reason but it just makes me feel that my belongings will be protected a little bit more protected than the cow pack but yeah I do really love this really really great quality I'm very impressed by the brand July so I might try a couple of their other items in the future okay this is a backpack that I want to show you I already featured this backpack in my base collection video you can see it on my channel if you'd like and if you're curious what other things that I have from base because I do own quite a few things so I'm not gonna go too much into detail about this because I did do like a whole walkthrough of a lot of the features on this bag already in that video I'm obsessed this color this style the compartments the texture of this bag it is my puffy backpack that's what I call it it is the same kind of concept except as like the cow pack duffel that's very lightweight however this is even softer like to the touch it's just such an interesting feel if I don't have as many items to carry with me in my personal bag I will take this backpack instead of the duffel because this is a little bit you know lower in capacity but it is much more comfortable because I can just put it on my bag back backpacks are just so convenient because it's very hands-free it also does have a trolley pass which is so nice because if my shoulders do get tired I can't put it on my uh rolling suitcase I also appreciate that this is very stylish it goes with most of my outfits which is an added bonus last backpack that I want to show you is the base packable backpack it is so so lightweight it is very see-through because it is made I don't even know what this is made out of but I just folded it into itself so it's very very tiny I love bringing this with me on trips not like wearing it to the destination but bringing it with me like this in my suitcase because you never know when you're gonna actually need a backpack to carry around when you're traveling so I just like to bring this with me I love this so much more than like a tote bag because it's hands-free and this is so lightweight it literally weighs almost like nothing but you can just open this up and it becomes a full-size backpack it's crazy it is like on the smaller side it still carries a ton of stuff in here and it has like a front pocket like a normal backpack would and then it has a key clasp inside and it has this like side pockets as well I never forget to bring this with me and I always end up using it for some reason so this is a definite must-have for me this is not in any particular order so I'm just gonna start grabbing stuff and showing them to you this is also by calpak I have two things actually from calpac this is one of my recent purchases and I'm obsessed with this color first off the functionality is amazing it's basically a toiletry bag that opens up like a book you have these two handles and there's a zipper in the middle and it opens up like a book you have two sides I usually put makeup on one skincare body care Hair Care in the other and it does have a smaller pocket in here as well on this side only so you can put like smaller items in there like jewelry hair clips stuff like that you can just lay your products down flat and I just love this concept I know a lot of brands do this but I just feel calpak quality is unbeatable it is so just beautifully made the structure is so nice it's really thick plastic type of material like PV PV what is it called pvt you know what I'm talking about it is the perfect size I believe this is the medium they have a small as well and then a large but I opted in for the medium because I feel this is the perfect size for like a typical vacation I got mine in the color caramel so definitely check this out I'm obsessed with this I cannot wait to use it more I'm actually going to Boston next week I know I was just in New York now I'm going to Boston I know there's a lot of trips coming up you guys this is like the perfect thing for a longer kind of weekend trip if I'm going on a shorter trip I will typically not bring that cow pack toiletry bag but I will bring this one also from calpak they should really sponsor me because I love them so much but this is the same color as the duffel bag that I showed you it's supposed to go hand in hand it has like this little handle and has an outer pocket it has one on each side which is awesome so I usually put like my feminine products in here and then on the front I put like my contacts because they're like I have dailies so I put like my contacts in here it has the main compartment and I put all of my travel size items in here and it also has pockets inside and a zippered compartment on the other side so this just fits so much and this is perfect for all of my skincare for a shorter vacation love this so much literally weighs like nothing this material is just superb this is a little random but I always have to pack a hairbrush with me and it has to be a tangle teaser because I use that every single time that I brush my hair I do have the full size version of the tangle teaser but they also have these like little little handle lists hair brushes I love the size because it's very Compact and it doesn't get in the way since it doesn't have a handle it makes a huge difference when you're trying to pack and Tetris things together it brushes my hair just as well as the full size one definitely check it out and it doesn't pull my hair and you can use it on wet hair as well because it will take out the tangles without breaking your hair this is kind of life-changing whenever I'm on vacation I find myself in hotels that have the worst lighting and it's just so hard to do your makeup or you're on vacation with the group and everyone is trying to fight for the bathroom because it's the only place that has a mirror this comes in so handy I'm not gonna I'm gonna try not to Blind you guys but this is a mirror like a portable mirror and this is awesome because you can open this ring up and then put it on a table or a chair and you can use it to look at yourself while you do your makeup and it is like the perfect size it's not super tiny where you can't even see your whole face so the size is so so good and I love how this can like adjust to any angle you can also charge it so that you can use this light it lights up and it has different temperature settings which is amazing so so good I highly recommend checking this out I used to use like a bigger one that was a rectangle instead of a circle but I like this a little bit better because although it's a little bit thicker or is it like the same width but it's just smaller I used to have the rectangle one that was a little bit too big to pack so this one is actually perfect in terms of size it's not too small where you only see like your eyebrow but it's not too big where it's hard to pack so this one is awesome I believe this little I don't know silicone it's like bendy pouch or something is advertised as a brush holder but none of my brushes actually fit in here because it is really small like it's narrow but it's also not tall enough to fit my brushes but what I do love using this for are my pencils for makeup like lip liners pencil eyeliners and tools as well like tweezers like smaller things I love storing it in here to travel with the opening is magnetic and it's just it doesn't take that much room and you can just kind of Squish it and I usually will place this into here because it fits perfectly inside this bag I love using this for that purpose not for brushes it doesn't work and then I also bought this little guy for my beauty sponge because it keeps things a little bit more hygienic when you're traveling and it also has perforations or like these gaps where it doesn't trap moisture you know and create mold and bacteria alright we are nearing the end we have like three more things to go through or four maybe this is a travel size portable steamer this is by the brand Electrolux to be honest I haven't used it yet so I'm not sure about the performance but it had really good reviews so I just wanted to show it to you guys in case you guys were curious I always bring a portable steamer with me because you never know if the hotel will have one it just comes in handy I love being able to steam my clothes it gets rid of odors wrinkles I obviously bought it because of the color scheme it's black and gold I also love it for the size because I think this is like one of the smallest Steamers I've seen on Amazon it also comes with a carrying pouch which is perfect okay so this is a little box shaped bag I use it to bring with me like little miscellaneous Chargers like for my iPhone but inside I also have something to show you it is a external charger that is really really tiny it's so awesome because you can charge it and it has like three notches so I think you can fully charge your phone like three times I believe that's what it's supposed to indicate you basically pull this out and it has the lightning adapter like literally it's so easy you just plug it in and it starts charging your phone this is so so small the width is smaller than my iPhone and it is just so tiny I usually will carry this with me in my purse so that when my phone dies I have a backup you have no idea how many times this has saved my phone from dying my friend's phones from dying I also bought the black one for Charlie my husband I've gotten so many people hooked on that charger it's the best okay last but not least this is kind of like a wellness item it is a pill case if you guys don't have one already definitely get yourself one because it is the most convenient thing ever it organizes everything so so well it's really easy to access it has like so many different slots there's six on one side two bigger ones so one of them I use it for like uh mints or cough drops I have like you know Advil Tylenol Pepto-Bismol to allergy medicine so that I can easily access them when I need to I bring this with me on every travel alright that is everything
