My Sister's NEW CAR!

[Music] hi guys i'm smee and good morning to you from the mercedes dealership where today we're picking up a new car but it's not my amg gtr which is on order as well from mercedes-benz brentford today i'm joining my sister to collect her new c-class cabriolet so jenny good morning hi hi guys are you well are you excited i am buzzing i cannot wait so if you've been following for an awfully long time which actually not that many of you can have been jenny has been in a video before because about five and a half years ago we went in my vantage roadster to paris in a vlog a long time ago and that was that was like early days of making these videos but today we are back to pick up your new car my car this time and it's inside the showroom so we should head in mercedes benz bradford check out the car and well it's collection day i can see it lurking it's under a sheet that's that's your new car in there jen i can't wait so just a bit of backstory jenny has been driving a ford fiesta for the last seven or eight years a long time too long so this is quite an upgrade come on inside let's head in hello it's not under here good morning good morning good morning how are you how are you nice to see you again and you it's been a while so i'm just making sure it's perfect okay i'm sure it's perfect i can't wait good good good first time you've seen it it's really fine yep quite quite an upgrade nicely done it's so shiny locked and loaded with the number plates [Applause] the first time sitting in the new car i hope it's comfortable it's so fun how does it feel pretty comfortable i'm pretty happy get used to it a bit nicer than a ford yesterday a tad tiny little tiny little bit of an upgrade can you take in that smell because that smell was the first time you'd ever get it that new car smell it smells like a new car i can't even buy that smell let's buy another car for another eight years what are you trying to say she's just picking up this one yeah don't let the smell escape this is it this is it how does it look as expected it's pretty beautiful i have to turn the ignition on and put the roof down i think we should shall we do that well i tell you what shall we do it i'm gonna let you do actually feels great let's get it started actually it's gone on the break i need to get bored of it from here no it's not manual anymore you went for the manual seats now you've got the electronic seats now jen this is it that's good people on the break let's start it up it's alive the bridge coming out that sounds alright for a four-cylinder talk more about the car in a moment that sounds pretty nice yeah it's not bad and then you have another button to put all the windows down as well the one on the left yeah and that controls all the windows together jenny and gautam our salesman are doing the documents and mercedes connect me and those side of things in the corner but let's have a little look around her new car the c200 sports cabriolet it's got the 2-liter engine 200 designation uh two liter four cylinder 184 horsepower not 62 miles an hour 7.8 seconds that's quite substantially quicker than her 1.25 litre fiesta that's just been replaced this car we first looked actually for her in brilliant blue but this is cavensite blue which is much darker navy but it's very elegant on this car we think it suits it very very well and now seeing the car actually do you think it looks really really good too it's right in with sort of character and what the car is about it's the premium plus package or first sport 17 inch wheels but premium plus package means the equipment is awesome lots and lots of stuff like 360 cameras technology comfort all that side of things that you would expect to have in it and the c-class is huge for mercedes at the moment unsurprisingly it is a brilliant car and it sounded really quite nice as well when we heard it start up a moment ago but sat here in the showroom ready to be driven out on delivery mileage four-seater open top decent amount of luggage storage in the boot as well and yeah this is jen's new car catch the uh light reflection on the paintwork there nice metallic blue i think mercedes are doing really cool things with their designs at the moment mercedes-benz and this is very appropriate for her to own she wants to have it for quite a while to come so it's going to fit right in ah scarf as well to have the warm air blowing out here and on cold days nice not bad so the car is going to come outside jenny is standing awkwardly under her umbrella in the sunshine janet's beautiful so underneath here we've got a couple of things i'll put your locking wheel bolts there little cargo net which goes across the bottom of the bootliner if you want to strap things down you've also got a collapsible uh tray here as well okay so for your veggies you do your shopping on the weekends that's a random thing to come in the boot of the car i would never have known that do you and then these fold in yep all the way down i would never have known that you got one of those in the boot of the car they gave me a little what do you call it basket is it your costco friendly and then hold it back up easy as though right so i'll do that to the side so a couple of things for your roof to fold down you have to have this sticking up like the way it is yeah right now the nucleus fabric is folded in there you have a lazy button for it so what happens is if you let's say you're driving for a long weekend somewhere into europe if you push this up you can fill it up with a little thing with the roof come down get to your hotel pull everything out press that and that'll flip that down forward great nice and easy all right it's a manual push-up when you're going to pull it away okay so that just pulls it down nice and easy the reversing camera is james bond style where is it under here for the car reverse oh that's cool you haven't seen it you'll have to have a you'll have to have a demo of the way it pops up it's very neat yeah okay wait i'm coming around here it's fun right it tucks back in again i love that the reason why we do that is i realize in 1607 probably some of the cars that you've done cars nice and clean you drive away you've gone for a bit of rain a bit of dust and dirt and we'll go through a reverse and it's just murky that way it's always tucked away but there is a function for the command system that you can pop it open if you need to reload now one thing you know it's like i mentioned earlier and that's where i mentioned the little slot those if you ever need to take this cover off to access the manual key release all right now two things two cheats so what you're used to lock unlock we release that for up to work you have to press and hold that way you don't do by mistake in your pocket these are really simple lock remember you got keyless entry now it's just going to be in your your prada as you go in literally has you got to open it's open already you see oh my gosh i've done nothing so i don't even need to touch the cake as long as you're within the vicinity of sort of about a meter meter or so around the car it will then yeah to walk away i'll find a way of doing it see the painted part where that little square is and you walk away okay right so let's get you comfortable first is the key thing like you mentioned car's gonna be comfy yeah best way to remember this this is the shape of your seat yeah so whichever way you push that will be the directional seat moves okay now once you do this what next thing you want to do is get your steering right and the mirror is right once you've got your outside mirrors right in your steering position you're gonna score the memory it's really simple you press m yeah and the number you want to store as and you hear a little beep okay every time we then you ever let him drive if you move the seat around you just press the number that you saw so now you're of course going to be number one on you obviously number one and number two i'm just gonna point out 13 miles on the clock jen it's hardly anything brand new just the uh delivery road test you've got your air scarf three stage yep heated seat three stage as well yeah both work separately as you want yeah lock and lock function so the car will lock it up it's around 12 miles an hour as you drive where the car will lock itself but you can do it manually or unlock it windows front and back release you can switch off your parking sensor so if you're in a built-up area cyclists pedestrians crossing front all the time the sensor will keep leaping press that let's switch off just remember to put them back on again when you try parking otherwise we'll keep getting closer thinking i'm fine and then yeah it's a moment to do that okay that is a shortcut that's switching on your 360 camera as soon as you tap that your cameras come on easy as that now can you see my side it's switched off if you look at the the sort of bird's-eye view on the left-hand side of the screen oh yeah because the camera under the mirror is the activity at the door right right right some of the threads you'll see it that is the brightness of the interior lights oh cool so you can adjust it as you go i can have mood lighting inside the car you just sit there keep going up and down all right um that's your rear fog light yeah okay and down here is your electronic parking brake so you can see the three um diagrams the way you accelerate with the foot you're coasting and your brake which is your constant or balanced driving the more green you get the better it gets sounds good all right app is up and running so that's your car vehicle's unlocked there's some information nice you see everything fuel level the trunk is closed the trunk all americanized i'm holding the camera around this angle there we go i'm gonna hang up i'm holding the camera around here so that my phone number doesn't come up on the phone's screen anyway it works as expected so now s your air cap looks pretty cool so you're driving along you want to try and prevent buffering in the car and also to improve whether your quality or conversation quality if you press this comes up yeah it's like yeah your air company yeah i always want that one so this is this is quite interesting to see actually over the vehicle but also at the same time catching any bugs that might come into the car while you're driving hey nice it's a bit of a double walk that's cool i haven't seen that go out before it's time to go on the road for the first time away she goes i'm gonna go and do a uh a parallel parking test with the car because it can park itself a c-class cab parking itself coming right up [Applause] parking pilot activated [Applause] so the car scanned the space as you drove past it i love the hands up don't shoot me approach nice the car i mean this isn't a permanent space it's a an entrance but very the more you practice it the more you get you sort of sort of line up yeah and depending on how the car is apart you'll get more and more strange than perfect oh my god perfectly parked jen thanks i did it myself other wheels all right yeah they're not they're not covered it's a very smart car she's chosen well all done then and a big thanks to gotam for the induction tour of jenny's new car i actually learned a few things there about mercedes and the c-class cab as well so if i come in close just look at the color of this and obviously i'm a big blue fan regardless but the way it pops on the pearlescent under the sunshine through to almost a darker purple on the darker parts of the car looks very nice but jenny's getting herself comfortable and set i'm gonna jump in in a second and drive the car home i mean you've been out on the road once but this is officially the first time it's actually your first time driving an automatic isn't it it is the first time i'm driving in automatic and i've had a ford fiesta for eight years so i can't quite explain how different this feels to driving this is your new car this is the new 92 gen i can't wait right so belt is handed to us we will head out on the roads i'm actually driving on an actual road it's fine you will be completely familiar with this in no time at all that's crazy oh it sounds nice i think i parked my street i think your street cred has shot through the roof you've lost the light blue though which my audience will tell you would have been my favorite color true but i think it was very elegant out in the sunshine with the roof down pretty lucky to have such nice weather in london yeah collection day i seem to always collect cars on rainy days these days and you've got almost perfection for it especially for the convertible well it came out just for me so far so good i think everything's going well yeah it's really fun to drive getting used to it learning how it works but first driving your new car which now has i guess a couple more miles i can't see the trip from here um but probably about 20 miles or so on it at this point we're gonna go left here but uh i'm gonna wrap this one up for
