am from celect Bangladesh and my last certified education was higher Secondary School certificate examination that's okay but um I was asking about the course that you've applied for lsbu uh I applied pre-cast process we perform various checks to ensure an applicant meets all of the student visa requirements before assigning a Cass these checks include reviewing Financial evidence supporting documents and assessing an applicant's genuine intention to study on the course this interview is part of those checks the interview will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes you should not be using any notes during this interview we ask that you provide detailed answers to the question as we will not be using prompts I'll be taking notes as you speak so please speak clearly and bear with me if I ask you to repeat some answers if you have any questions before the interview or at the end please feel free to ask uh no ma'am I have no questions okay good how are you today I'm good what about you I'm good thank you for asking at lsbu we have many societies you could join how do you usually like to spend your free time uh at lsv outside the classroom there are lots of fac facilities available okay sorry let me um let me repeat the question at lsbu we have many societies you could join how do you usually like to spend your free time uh I would love to spend my free time joining a teim or sports team uh I am very much fond of sports and all uh during my school time and college time I uh I love playing cricket and football and bedminton and University have the facility of indoor bedminton I would love to participate in these kind of sports and cultural events uh runs throughout the year at the University I would love to uh attend those events okay and are there any sports you would like to continue practicing or try for the first time while you were studying at LSB uh as I mentioned that uh I love playing bedminton and lspu has the facility of indoor bedminton and I would love to explore the bedminton in lsbu okay and have you studied in the UK before sorry have you studied in the UK before no this is my first time okay and could you give me a summary of your previous stud studies in Bangladesh what was your last qualification level okay uh I have done my higher Secondary School certificate examination in 2020 uh from bakalin multilateral high school and after that uh after that uh a lot of time wasted because of coid 19 and lockdown and after the lockdown I admitted myself in Bachelor of social science and the National University um but uh the classes was not properly running uh and because uh because of lockdown and few people are infected in the area and uh local government give again a lockdown so that's why classes are become off and the University is also not facilitated with not equipped with online facilities that's why there was no online classes and after that uh the first year examination started and after one exam uh during uh due to a s flood in selette uh the exam gets postponed and for this reason the university Authority are not sure when the exam will restart uh let me clear one more thing in Bangladesh uh the exams held in yearly basis not in semester basis so the first year exam get postponed and I got very much frustrated because of these circumstances and I uh uh I decided to withdraw myself from this course and starting prep uh started preparing for is and after getting uh 6.5 in is I started preparing ing for UK student visa okay and one more thing I have provided all the documents needed for this uh to lsbu and they have after SE they have seen my uh documentation they provide me with unconditional of a letter and when did we finish your last course uh as I mention uh I have not participated in the final exam which was which was postponed and that exam held in January 2023 and I didn't participate in that uh just after one exam it get postponed and restarted at January 2023 and I didn't participate in it so so when was the last one if you didn't participate in that when was the last qualification that you got uh my last certified qualification was higher Secondary School certificate examination in 2020 okay and what have you been doing since you finished your last course sorry what have you been doing since you finished your last course uh as I mentioned that after finishing my higher Secondary School certificate examination uh due to Corona and lockdown a lot of time wasted and after that I admitted myself uh in Bachelor of social science and the National University but I have withdrawn due to session jams which for which because of flood and that time exam was postponed and I didn't continue with the study and started preparing for ILS and after getting my ILS uh exam result I started preparing for uh UK Visa student visa okay okay sorry I'm just writing down your answer okay and why have you decided to return to full-time study now um as I have mentioned that uh I was in fulltime studies uh due to this uh session jams uh in Bangladesh educations and National University and that's why I started to start my study in UK because uh there will be lots of facilities for me and I never quit the studies and I was in study as I have mentioned that um the first year exam did not h on time and get postponed due to flood and all I decided to continue my study in UK so that I can easily complete my studies over there without any without any circumstances okay and what course have you applied for lsbu I I applied for BC Hors economics and could you give me any specific details about the course at lsbu any specific modules in our course that made you choose us um in this course there are variety of modules including options in final years uh which will cover current economics uh Trends and themes which shape the global economy I will get experience I will get practical experience uh using my knowledge at real uh real cases with real data at lsbu at the first year I will go through six modules starting with finance and the economics in this module I will learn about uh v a variety of uh financial and economic topics and how to use them how to use to understand uh the real world around us in uh the second module is business mathematics in this module every student should learn about quantitive method of quantitive methods to solve any problem related to business finance and the economy for this reason uh this module uh I will learn about powerful analytic method of calculus and how to solve problem of business economics uh with it uh and and the third module the lsbu discovery project in this module I will be utilizing uh business project framework uh problem solution uh problem solution and idea generating techniques which will help us through every key stages uh Key Stage key stages to complete a small business project uh starting to end uh and the fourth one is economic concept in this uh module uh I will learn about uh micro and macro economics which are the Bedrock uh to economic concept and the fifth module will be man management and organization I will learn about uh basic uh Management in organization and uh uh human resource organization strategies to manage uh people in the organization and the fifth module is the principle of uh strategy in this module I will go through uh a basic strategic analysis and the Tool uh can be used to evaluate businesses okay and do you have a favorite module uh I have a favorite module this is uh business mathematics is my favorite mod did you consider any other universities in the UK or anywhere else uh apart from London South Bank University I applied in University of hard forood share okay and why did you choose lsbu compared to any other universities uh there are plenty of reason for choosing lsbu uh the course of lsbu is directly linked with my future career goal I want to become an investment banker for this season I want to degree in this field and the reputation of lsbu uh played a significant role in my decision and lsbu won a t silver TEF award which is teaching Excellence framework as an international student uh it is a key factor for for me to choose this University because this this uh proof that their teaching quality is really very good and uh London South Bank University rank between 6001 to 800 by Times Higher Education and got 4.3 Star by uh student review from study portal and London South Bank University's employability rate is 82% uh that means 82% of the graduates are getting jobs or they are doing their further studies these are the reason I choose London South Bank University okay and what do you plan to do once you finish your studies at lsbu uh after completing my studies I plan to get back to Bangladesh and work as a investment banker because the cost of studying this program in the UK is so high what are the benefits of you studying this course in relation to your future plans um as I mentioned before this UK UK uh British higher education is romed worldwide if I get a degree from uh UK I will get more value in job sectors in my own country and UK uh UK education is more practical based so I will get more industrial knowledge which will help me in my future career uh uh which will give me uh future future career so these are the reason I choose to study in UK do you know how much your tuition fees are uh my tuition fees are £1,900 do you know how much money you will need while you are stud in London for your living cost yes I am I'm completely aware of it uh my accommodation fees will be monthly 130032 and my accomodation fees will be 1332 pounds and uh for accommodation I will need this accommodation and living cost I will uh spend there those money monthly okay please give me an idea of the budget you will need for food and other expenses okay for accommodation I will be need of 600 to 800 and for food it will cost me around2 200 and uh for Transportation uh it will cost me around1 and for Wi-Fi and mobile phone bills will be around 50 to 100 uh and for shopping and accessories uh I will spend 100 and for emergency purp I will need some more money okay and how do you plan to pay for your studies sorry how do you plan to pay for your studies sorry I didn't hear you properly okay how do you plan to pay for your studies pay for my studies uh my father will sponsor me for my studies uh so I don't need to worry about it okay and are you ready to provide proof of your father's income uh yes what does your father do and then what is his income okay my father is running a construction uh project management company and undertaking both government and non government projects uh he is doing it doing it since 2003 uh it is very hard to say his monthly income uh uh monthly income but it is approximately around 6 lakh which is around 4,500 at Great Bain pounds and his yearly income is around 7 to 80 lakhs taka which is around £55,000 okay and do you have any dependents accompanying you to the UK no I don't have any and have you ever previously applied to visas to the UK or anywhere else uh no ma'am this is my first time so not even to travel or anything sorry so you haven't applied for any visas to travel anywhere uh no I have not okay where are you planning to Live While in the UK sorry where are you planning to Live While in the UK please tell me about your accommodation okay so I have not booked any accommodation yet but I have complete idea about the accommodation cost I have seen some accommodation in websites like Cita accommodation and there I saw offer name Bania South Bank and this is 8 Minute walking distance from my University and there will cost me around 234 pounds uh per week okay so that would be off campus then yes and do you know how much your utility bills would be sorry do you know how much your utility bills will be uh can you say it in other words um let me think of how to say it in another way do you know how much your utility bills will cost so say for instance Gas and Electric okay uh for gas and electri it will cost me around uh uh 200 to 150 to2 200 I just want to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of attendance at lsbu if you are granted a Visa you will be expected to attend all of your online and face-to-face sessions we monitor students attendance and if you fail to attend classes LSB will not hesitate to withdraw you from the program and report your visa to the ukvi in this case you would have to leave the UK immediately before you consider applying for a Visa please consider
