hello friends welcome to square plans i'm stephanie and today we're going to be setting up my 2021 planner pretty excited for this for those of you who are new to my channel the way that i plan is i take a catch-all planner which houses five different separate planners for individual sections of my life and put one month at a time into this planner the one you're seeing here is actually from 2020 so i was using this planner up to today i will be moving things out and reorganizing it for 2021 in this video and to do that i will use some of these dashboards here for new sections i'll be putting in and taking out and just cleaning everything up making it pretty and nice for 2021 so the first thing i'm going to do is actually go into my stash of items and pull out a few things that i may need including this pocket folder i put into storage when i moved in my holiday planner i'm going to put that where this guy was this black and white so busy pocket folder that i had moved in because of that holiday planner and i'm also going to move out the dashboard and the rest of the holiday planner items this is where i keep them i kind of store them in this extra items place because i don't really have a home for my holiday stuff but that holiday dashboard tab really helps me find it when i need it so it's a good place for me to have this stuff live until 20 21 holiday season hits i'm also going to clean out the things that i didn't need anymore from the holiday section and then move in that pocket pages back into its little home in this storage planner i have and i'll move those recipe cards into my recipe planner so that they're there and ready to go so i'm going to move that pocket folder back in and i'm going to now move out december's faith month and put that into my faith planner for 2020 finishing out the year and i'll be doing a flip through of this planner as well as a majority of the planners i'm going to show here at some point in january so stay tuned for that next i'm going to move out my daily section just move it into its planner i'm not actually done with the last spread and so i kind of have to work out of that planner till the end of the week because of this weird split week thing but i just figured it'd be better to have 2021 all set up first and then just go back to the 2020 planners for the week i'm going to do the same thing here for my health planner i'm going to move out the month of december from my catch-all put it into the 2020 planner and i too have a half spread in there that i'll need to use i'm also moving back in my pocket pages from before my little healthy habits pocket pages just to kind of start off my health section there in the catch-all i'm gonna move out the social media section as well so i've got all of my stats there in the front my perpetual calendar and i'm going to move out all of december and finally i'm going to take out my financial area where i have my itsy sales and my budget that will be moved off off-camera basically the same thing just putting it into my 2021 planner okay so now that 2020 is all moved out of the planner and i am ready to start organizing things i'm going to strip out all of the remaining dashboards in my planner just so that i can start moving things in and out as needed i'll be putting it on a new cover with new disks so i'm going to get that set up and then basically i'll just move over the items as we go so this is the cover i'm going to be using it's from a happy planner happy notes from oh almost a year and a half two years ago probably called farmhouse but they still have it on their site so if you really love this cover like i do it is available as a happy notes so i'm going to be using that as my catch-all cover for 2021. i'm pretty excited about it my second favorite cover of all time hello beautiful was my first and then i also have my diy black discs on there that i did a video on showing how i diy those guys from silver to black pretty easy peasy and i'm loving the kind of matte finish i have going on it's not too shiny and just i don't know just give me all those modern feels so pretty excited about that i've also just moved in the first half of my planner from before so that's my pocket folder my sticky notes and then now i am moving in my goals section so i moved over my vision board but i've taken out my 2019 review and my 2020 goals and i'll replace that with new ones for 2021 eventually it's taken me a long time to figure out what i want my goals to be for 2021 just i don't know i'm just very indecisive this year and i'm not sure if i want to use this habit tracker yet for my faith but i will stick it in there see if that stays or what i end up doing there to track my habits for my faith planner i've also moved over my pocket squares for my faith planner that i made beginning of last year since i have that little extra room with these bigger discs i figured i can put in some of the funner stuff that i wanted to keep in my planner so i'm excited about that i'm also moving in the month of january here for my faith if you saw my line up video you'll know that this is kind of a franken planner with the currently pages and the dividers from an old undated planner i had from happy planner mixed in with my quadrant layout printable from my shop and i'll be using that for my verse writing of the day but i'm trying to figure out here how i want to do this because i find it so annoying having to keep the last page of the month in the planner for the next month so i want the currently pages to back up against each other but i don't know it's kind of weird i don't know if i should use this currently page for january instead of february or and then like put that one at the end of the year i don't know i i'm not sure i'm still indecisive so i'll figure out how i want to do it but i had already glued down the february currently there and i couldn't really not use it so i don't know we'll figure this out right now i'm just looking over my planner trying to figure out how i want it to look i also put black cardstock on the back of those dividers because it had an undated month kind of like you can see there and just looking over my setup i had moved in those folders from my 2020 planner into 2021 so that everything about faith is together in this planner on my desk if i need to reference anything from long-term faith storage so for now i'm just going to keep this how i have it here without the currently being in the front but being in the back and i'm using the technically the february currently with the january but again i'm not real sure if that's going to stay having some second thoughts on that already so next i'm moving in my daily schedules and this goes at the front of my daily planner so i can have a good reference for what i should be doing at any given time i'm using little pocket corners to keep the pages together so they back up against each other and i'm putting in my goals dashboard here which i forgot to do so i can start adding in those dashboards as i need them and right now what i'm going to do is just put in the ones i have pre-labeled later in the video i'm going to go back and clean them up and re-label them all just because there's going to be some new sections and i just wanted to be nice and clean and fresh for 20 21 so i moved over my faith overview there in the front and that will be right now for the habit tracker but again i'm not real sure about that then i've got my faith month and my faith daily i guess i should say faith week i need to adjust that when i do the new labels and then i just popped in my daily schedule dashboard so i can reference that weekly overview and now i'm getting into my horizontal daily planner first i'm going to add in my perpetual calendar from this planner put that at the front just trying to organize things as i go and then i have all of that from my horizontal setup along with my diy dividers got my monthly as you can see i have an empty week there right after my monthly setup because i decided to do the december january split week in my 2020 planners so there's kind of an empty spread here that i probably will need to like glue those pages together or something i'm not sure what i want to do there since i've already decorated the back of the start of that week in the end the back of the other part of the week as well so and then i have my habit tracker that i'm really excited to be using but it's at the back and i don't really have a plan for how i'm going to kind of reference it with my top tabs so i'm just thinking about it how i want to do this and then i also added in again my storage folders into that planner for home management so it used to be my personal development planner but now that i have a work planner it's going to be my home management planner and that's where i put those items for long-term storage in my daily so i moved on to the health because i wasn't sure about that habit tracker thing so i'm gonna start moving in my dashboards for that and some of the items i start my health section off with the pocket pages and my health trackers and now i am grabbing out january for my health i've added in my health long term storage folder as well into my 2021 health planner and now i am moving in the full month of january and i'll be moving in some dashboards here as well so i can get this organized figure out what i need and what i don't so i've got my monthly spread and i didn't show this but this is kind of the setup i'm gonna use for tracking my symptoms and meds and i've created a little key card so i wouldn't have to write in the key that i use for tracking my meds every month so that's all good and then i've got my health week and same kind of setup since i did the split week in my 2020 planner i will officially start this planner on the fourth next we have social which oh i'm not going to show you and i will do that all off camera i'll just move in real quick starting with the perpetual calendar and i'm trying to decide if i want to track the instagram and youtube followers on this again this year not real sure and then i'm going to grab out my complete month hard not to show you guys any sneak peeks so grabbed out my whole complete month and am dropping that in so here i can add in a dashboard right now i'm just deciding whether or not i need to have it in here or if i want to move it to the front but i think yeah i'm just going to do that and i'll put those dashboards in later finally i'm going to move in my itsy sales section which i realize i do not have the perpetual calendar i plan on using printed so i'll just move in my budget and i at first thought i was going to move in all of my budget pages but that doesn't stay there was a little bit too much it just kind of beefed up my planner a little bit more than i wanted it to and then yeah like i said i still need to print out that perpetual calendar so i can put in my itsy sales it's gonna look a lot like that and i can move in my social growth and i can probably also move in my social month and week but i'll i'll put them where they belong on the pages when i get chance there we go okay so i've got all of the dated sections in i think i've covered everything just looking to see where i want to put my work planner i think i'm going to be reorgan this planner a bit because i do reference more of my daily social together and then skip back to health so i think that i will be reorganized and then the same with the work i imagine i'll want to be referencing that before health so i had tried this layout that i was planning on using for all of january the hourly vertical from my shop and although i love the idea of it no it just did not work for me so i had pre-printed out a monthly layout just to show you guys how it would look and i think i'm gonna try this i'm gonna try it for goals and then list out my running list of tasks in the task section and see if this works any better for me but trying to plan my day out hourly was not it just my sample week was just a hot mess it just doesn't work for me i need to have it kind of be more open i don't know if that makes any sense like following the master schedule makes sense but trying to nail things down by hour just doesn't always work so anyway that's the plan and i have moved out all of the goals and stuff that i have for my personal development into its own planner and i'll be putting it on those gold rings i put it on the silver because i want to make sure it's all going to fit but it's still chunky even with those expanded disks so i don't know but i decided to move my work planner over to its own section and then leave all of that reference material in its own planner so that's a little bit different than my lineup was in the beginning of december so now i'm moving in the last parts of my planner starting with the pocket folder to divide out the section and then i have all of my storage dividers which is i have one for home and that just kind of holds all of my like password info and projects home projects you can kind of see one there in the back i have my work section which is basically all my work or professional reference materials anything i'm working with for a client or just for my own personal itsy stuff or whatever that's related to that then i have my social which is like ideas and videos and things like that that i'm currently referencing otherwise that will go in that black folder or planner that i showed you just a minute ago on the silver disc that will be going to gold and then my miscellaneous which just has all my fun little collections in there and anything that's not really related to the first three i'm just gonna move some note paper in here as well put that at the back so i have it for reference yeah that's basically going to finish off my planner so the layout isn't really that different than it was before but there will be some changes and i will go through next and do a full revamp of all my dashboards making them nice and clean do my little hack if you haven't seen that it's awesome so that i can have some clear dashboards throughout and just keep everything nice and consistent so i'll be doing that off camera and then coming back and showing you a quick flip of all the dashboards so i'm back and i've did my dashboard hack on these guys and i even took off the blue backing of that one on the top says shine bright and was able to keep the foil which i thought was kind of cool because it's clear now but oily and i kind of messed up a little bit there you can see a little bit of silver but yeah overall just kind of cleaned up all of the dashboards i knew i didn't like the design of and did it all at once and then i also printed all of the labels that i needed on my phone memo printer so we are good to go there i'm just going to real quick show you what the process is and then i'll just speed through all of them but basically i just cut out my label and i made this file on my computer so that i could easily take the label and fold it over the top so i have the text going one way on the front and one way on the back so when i fold it over it's both the right way and i also kind of made it so that i could easily cut them out and utilize as much of the label as possible without a wasting label space so i just did that i just put the first one on there for my year overview and i'm using a clear bookmark for that since i was definitely running low on dashboards i'm also using some goo gone to get rid of all of the excess sticky on the ones i'm reusing and a little bit of alcohol to clean off the goo gone oil also any other funkiness that is there on the dashboard so i'm going to basically just do that for all of them go through each section and clean them up or replace the current dashboard there and put in the new label this process took a little bit of time and effort i didn't need to replace all of the labels most of them were already correct but i had some that were kind of peeling up on the corners and kind of junky and i just wanted that to look nice and clean like i said before i didn't do a great job though with the cutting of some of these labels so some of them are a little bit crooked or the placement isn't quite even on both sides i did a better job when i did it the first time but um they still look pretty good and i'm not gonna bother putting any highlighters on them this time around to color code the sections i liked having the color coding it does help kind of differentiate them from each other but i just also kind of want a really clean look this year i want everything to look i don't know just modern and clean and mellow so we'll see if i end up color coding them later down the road but i do like having them just all be consistent and clean that's what you're seeing me do here just cleaning them up and again more with goo gone i'm using a little alcohol and a towel just to clean them up and the full dashboard as well i'm some of them i'm cleaning up anything that has a marks or scuffs or anything on it i'm trying to use the alcohol to clean those up thoroughly okay guys here we go this is the final setup of my planner i'm really excited planner setup 2021 you guys fresh look i love the black and white with the pop of green it's totally awesome i love this kind of matte finish on my discs ah it's gonna be great it's so nice to have it all set up so let me walk you through how it looks so again i've moved in my pencil pouch here that i have nothing in currently but may need then i have my sticky dash which i refreshed some of the stickies and just kind of cleaned it up a little bit so that i would have some new options sorry and again on the back of that i have like a little card stock backer just to make a little more substantial and then we have my year at a glance section my yearly overview and i guess i need to write my name in my planner but i will do that at another time because it's too much pressure um anyway so here's the start of my yearly section i have my overview these came from my shop my etsy shop and are part of all of my combo planners so it was nice to have that and be able to print it as needed for wherever i need it in my planner so i have my dashboard in here which is actually a bookmark a lot of the inner bookmarks are or the inner tabs are bookmarks since i didn't have as many dashboard sized ones at those but i cleaned them up and they're clear and perfect and love that so i have this guy in here and a few sticky notes i'll probably go through and fill this all out this week sometime and put in any dates that are important and yeah so i'm going to keep the full year in here and then we start with my goals section which i have cleaned up and we'll be putting in new content here hopefully this week got my dashboard which is the larger dashboard that goes all the way to the edge i love that for my goals and my notes i just know that those two sections are kind of separate and special so i keep those on the outsides and can easily flip to them keeping my vision board from 2020 and we'll revise it or not revise it we'll reference it when i make my new goals and i've already moved out the rest of the stuff so there is nothing here yet but again i will fill that up i have my planner babe pocket folder here in my section to divide out all of my planners that are dated from the rest of the planner also to hold my pen loop which i really love that and then we start with my faith planner so my faith planner has now my pocket pages that i made in the beginning of 2020 i was keeping this in my actual faith planner before because i didn't have enough room in my catch-all but i happily was able to move it in create a nice little fun space for me to start my day you guys heard me kind of distress over how i was going to manage the currently page at the beginning of my faith because i'll be using that as my overview for my prayer list and any other goals and things that i want to tackle what i decided to do was to keep it in in the front so keeping them like a spread here and i've added in another bookmark clear bookmark that i cleaned up here to divide it and what i'm going to do i'll show you guys as we get through to the back is i will just keep it with whatever page is on the back side in and that way i don't have to keep the actual week of the month in which i'll explain as we go okay so i've got my faith overview so that's going to be the first thing i'm going to look at in the beginning of the day start my day off with my prayer and just meditating on god and i have these beautiful dividers to look at faith is going to be one of the only sections i'm going to keep my january or my monthly dividers in just because i think it's part of the ambiance of the planner and just to cut down on some of the bulk so got that and i did back all of my dividers with some black card stock so i have that there to hide the monthly layout that's on the back side of the dividers then i start into my monthly layout so i have my month here and i'm already starting into it and each day as i go i'm just putting in my i'm writing in things as i go and same divider here dashboard here just cleaned up a little bit so like i said at the back of it i have normally i have a notes page backing up the last page of the month in my printable this is my quadrant printable from my shop i had to reprint this page though since i had stuck it already to the currently page i showed earlier in the video so this way i'm just going to keep it with notes going forward and not stick those two pages together and so i can keep this whole section out and then when i move in the next section i'll just have that currently page that i showed and then the divider for the next month and i don't have to worry about having half of spread in here and just i i just hate that i hate having a half spread so it'll just be nice and clean and all of january will be moved out and then february will be moved in so that's my faith set up and then we move into my daily so it's my next thing that i do in the morning is check my planner so here i have my daily schedules the same setup as i've had in the past basically i have my i did that again i keep grabbing the page and taking it out of the photo corners when i flip it come here get in there go to your home ugh there we go so yeah so i have this for reference when i'm trying to figure out my day and just get everything organized but again hourly layout just didn't really work for me having it here is good enough and then i can fill in the tasks as i needed because that's really what i needed is a way to keep track of all of this that's in my head that i need to just get out and keep track of and then i have my block so that is the start of my daily section and then we move into my horizontal layout from my shop and it starts off with a monthly overview which this year i'm going to try to do like a memory of the day which i've started already and i think it's going pretty well um it's going to doodle something that happened to me i'm not going to put any stickers in addition to what i have currently on the spread i'm just going to do it with pen and just write something cute and fun for each day hopefully this spread i did not use so i'm gonna be sticking these two pages together i just haven't done that yet and then starting my week so i have that all set up got my daily week here ready to go and then we move into the back of this section which now houses my habit tracker and so i've added in some habits already that i've started to track but i'm going to label it work habits because i don't have a front section for my work so i figured that it will just help me steer through my planner i just like to have that symmetry of three tabs per section per planner and then it starts off with something unique to that planner and then the month and the week and so this one because i don't have anything unique to house in the beginning of it i'm going to use that for my habit tracker it is related to work as far as just trying to personal development type stuff so i have that and so i'm going to use this dashboard so i make sure i check it every day and i fill it in and then we start into that monthly layout i mentioned before which i haven't quite figured out what i'm going to do here once i set my goals up i think i'll be able to utilize this much better so i have this and then i also thought that i might be able to kind of you utilize this part of the monthly layout for goals if it doesn't work out this month and i don't like you know feel like i need this i will just remove it and start with the tasks and basically i've already started brain dumping tasks in here and what i'll do is i'll just reference this ever you know as i'm building out my week and put in what i need to get done and then check it off as i go so it's kind of like a monthly ongoing task layout or task list so that's what i'll be doing here and it's undated so for now that's just a plan i don't know if this is going to stick but so far i kind of like this idea so we're going to go with that and this layout is the monthly layout for my shop in case i didn't mention that it's a recreation of the happy planner monthly layout that is no longer doesn't seem to be easily available for 2021 so just an fyi if you're looking for that from the happy planner kind of hard to find but i do have it in my shop okay so now we're going to social so before i had my health section right after my daily i've moved that behind the social now so it's going to go more to my work related items together in one social still has work related there's you know the actual work stuff i need to do and then in my daily there's usually something appointments events things i need to tackle for the day also in that planner so this is all kind of like the me of the things i need to get done for the day i'm going to start off with the this one is the homebody dashboard layout homebody seasons excuse me dashboard layout for 2021 and that is from the happy planner i'm using it with the perpetual calendar to keep track of my followers and subscribers again excited to continue that i do like having it all in one place so i will keep that going for 2021 and then i'm not going to show you my social month or my social week because they are actually filled in and ready to go but here is a sample of what the social week looks like and social month is very similar to any monthly layout just with some decor so yeah so this will be my social media planner which i love and at the end of the month i usually do a flip through of my entire planner so you can see all the after the pins and at that point i will show you my social media section so you can see since everything will be already completed by then and there's no spoilers next section we move into my health and one of the things that's a little different is that i flipped my pocket pages so that the quote is actually at the front and the healthy habits are on the back now so all i did was turn the squares around and flip each side so that it was rebalanced and read properly on the back side so yeah so now my healthy habits are going to be facing my goals this is my health tracker section starts off my health planner here is where i plan on having my health goals so i've changed out the um the dashboard for a bookmark so it won't be blocking anything important here this is where it will live once i figure out what i want to do it's another issue that i have i need to just kind of settle on my goals and make it happen and then i have my my weight tracker we're going to go like this so you guys don't see too much and i did a video on this guy if you want to see how i set it up i already entered in the first day the first measurements as well and oh you guys it's gonna be a rough year i gotta i gotta do a lot of work but yeah so i have that i put in these other items that i thought i might reference i had done a kind of a brief workout schedule in the summertime that i was trying to follow i don't know if i'm going to keep this in here or redo it because some of these things i i definitely won't be doing like i'm not going to be going bike riding probably again until summer time so yeah some of these things are going to change but i just wanted to have a reference so that i can make a new one so i'm keeping this one in here for now and then this page came with my healthy hero planner back in 2019 it was just a page that had some ideas for challenges for yourself for self-care and then it had a bunch of pages with like a 30-day little grid that you can do 30-day challenges on so i'm just going to keep this in here to give me ideas for how i want to handle my health in 2021 maybe do some challenges for myself so i'm gonna keep that in here and then we get into my health month so i set that up i did briefly mention this already that i'm going to be using this to track my symptoms and my medications that i'm taking on a regular basis and i have a little key here that i used a kind of like a an insert card that kind of keeps track of what i'm writing down here at the top as far as you know what medications or supplements i'm taking and then on the back i just have like a little cheat sheet of some vitamins that are supposed to be good for my current chronic sinusitis and all this other stuff i have going on i'm using a lined monthly in my health and it makes it a lot easier for me to write things out which i'm really excited for it's going to look so much cleaner this year and again i have this spread that's open i'm gonna probably glue the pages together again and then i have the start of my 2021 fresh start health spread that i'll be using here i have that all set up and then we move to the end of the section and then we get into my financial stuff which is my itsy sales which is just a perpetual calendar where i write down my daily sales and then my budget month which is basically just a monthly lined layout that i'll be using to track my bills and this is the back side originally i had put in all 12 months but again it was just a little bit too bulky so i'm just keeping in one month at a time just to simplify things because i don't normally reference months ahead of time if i want to pre-set up anything i can just easily drop it in and get it set up for the next month but as you can see there's only two dividers in here as far as monthly dividers there's this one and the because i have to have it for my social and the faith i did make a bunch of diy dividers that i really love but i think they're going to live in their respective planners and then i'm also not going to glue the pages together so that i can perhaps reuse them year after year depending on how i feel at the end of 2021 so that is the end of all of my dated sections and i don't know if you noticed but as i go through each tab it always has all of the weekly sections on the outside here the months in the middle and then the special sections for each planner here on the inside and that's just so that i can easily flip to what i need without looking so i kind of know okay health is the fourth planner back so i can just go one two three four and then go right to health or you know opposite when it's depending on how it's opened up on my desk so just a heads up that's how i have it organized in case you're wondering and i did do a video a deep dive about my dashboard tabs in a video in the beginning of december if you want to know more but i pretty much showed you guys everything there is to know about it in this video so next we close off my dated section with another pocket folder again a planner babe pocket folder which i i really liked at the styling of the planner babe now that i'm looking at it though it worked a lot better with my colorful cover that i used to have now that i've kind of got like that black and white aesthetic i don't know maybe i'll make some new pocket folders for 2021 just so everything kind of feels a little bit more consistent with each other here i have my second pen loop and this one i keep my four color pen on my friction pen one of my favorite things love having it so i have my pen loop on there and then the final section is where i keep like reference items that i will utilize throughout the week that i'm currently working in or through and i used to have some other dividers on here but i changed them out for some dividers i made myself they are just made out of gold cardstock same as i did before with the dividers i made for my first planner except for these ones are double-sided and i can't really show them to you because most of them have information that i can't share but basically it's just two pieces of card stock stuck together since it was not a double-sided card stock just trimmed out in the divider size i also re-labeled them all with my dymo label maker and just kind of changed up some of the headings this used to say home now i've changed it to personal so it'll be anything that's related to home but also anything about myself or you know kind of more introverted self-care stuff that'll go in there then there's business that's anything having to do with my etsy shop or my freelance i used to say work work would kind of include social and i sometimes would mix and match those which i didn't want to do so i wanted to make sure social had its own space so business kind of separates it in my mind of what goes in there and then again miscellaneous and that's where i keep all of my collections and funner stuff so that's all cleaned up and ready to go and then i have my very last dashboard this notes which i said i really like having it on the very outside so i can easily grab it with my fingers i know which one is which the very outside ones as goals or notes and yeah i like that a lot and then i have some no paper in here just different kinds so that no matter what i need it for i have type of sheet but i have a ton of note paper so this is just a very small sampling of no paper that i need to use up and the back back cover and that's it oh my goodness you guys hopefully this video is not too crazy long this is my full setup for 2021 hopefully you guys
