hey everyone i'm matt with ozark overland adventures and it's the end of february which means if you're like me you've had christmas you've had maybe a stimulus check that's come in you may already have your income taxes done and your tax return and you've got gear that's been sitting around the house and the garage that so far you haven't got a chance to use yet now maybe you have in your if so you're luckier than me because we got hit with copen at the beginning of the year then we had this massive snowstorm that came through the weather has been awful so far and we haven't had a chance to get out and use some of this great new gear in this video i want to show you some of my favorite new gear that i'm excited to put to use in 2021 some of it will get used this weekend so let's walk through it now the first thing that i'm excited to use this weekend is my brand new krua outdoors koala max kit this is a hammock setup and the thing that i like about this is they've done some innovative things with the hammock and actually showed that in another video that i'll link right here i'll put some clips in here too but they've done some innovative things with the hammock and turned what you know it's just otherwise a normal hammock into something a little better they've really done some improvements to it with some of the gear storage they've got the spreader bars that really open up the hammock for you and this kit has everything you need it has the hammock which includes your tree straps it includes the spreader bars it has your little your little storage pouches in here it has your rain fly it has your under quilt that can be used as an under quilt a top quilt um i can't remember what it's called but the the kind that cocoons around the hammock it can do all three of those it's got a little storage hammock for underneath your hammock and then it's got all the the gear and stuff i can't wait to put this to use this thing is going to be awesome this weekend and the lows are going to be in the 30s but i think i am going to be totally comfortable and it's even supposed to rain this weekend so we'll put the rain flight to the test and see how it holds up but it's going to be a good weekend to test this out and i'm super excited about this setup the next thing that i'm excited to put to use this weekend that's going to go perfect with my crew outdoors qualmax hammock is this enlightened equipment quilt these things are incredible this is a top quilt it's a sleeping bag i'm going to use it this weekend as a sleeping bag or maybe just top quilt we'll see what the weather holds but these things are completely custom made just for you the fabric you use the colors you choose obviously i like purple the weather rating on these things this one is a 20 degree bag and i'm super excited to use this this can be used as a sleeping bag with the foot box cinched up it can be used as a blanket you can open the foot box up slide this around your hammock you can completely unzip it and use it as a blanket maybe in a rooftop tint or just as a top quilt but i think i'm going to be warm and cozy in this this weekend we'll see i mentioned that it's going to rain this weekend i am crazy excited to have this moonshade now if you know my jeep i don't have a roof rack i don't have an awning inside this bag that is smaller than most camp chairs is an awning that can attach via suction cups or via magnets to your rig let me show you this let me show you how this works this is your awning material it's nice and thick and heavy duty i've seen some cheap versions of this on amazon it's just really thin like rain fly material this stuff is tough super reinforced really strong corners i think this is going to hold up really well it's got the options of doing magnets you can stick them on your windows if you've got a hard top not not a hard top but you know normal top you can suction cup it to the top of your rig but i don't have any of those options but i do have this nice metal bar that goes across the back of my soft top and they give you two really nice magnets that you can use to secure it [Music] very sturdy and adjustable support poles so you can adjust the height and boom i have an awning for my jeep great spot covering up the tailgate now i'm gonna have my fridge back here drop that down i can cook out of the rain this is awesome i can use this this weekend it comes with guidelines so you can stake this down really good to to so you don't have to worry about the wind i'm super pumped about this and then i'll have to put it here on the back if i want to attach it to the side and have it covering up the door and have that little space i can put it there too but the moonshade it's awesome another several new pieces of gear that i've got that i can't wait to test and unfortunately i'm not going to get to do it this weekend because the weather's not going to be suitable for it solar panels i've actually got three different solar panels here that i can't wait to put to the test one to see which ones is the best but also just to use all my trips we've got some extended trips coming up this year and we've got the blue yeti ac50s we've got the jackery 500 and 1000 and i can't wait to to put those to use on the trail on some of our extended trips just to keep those things topped off what we've got here we have got the overland solar the bug out 130. it's 130 watt solar panel that folds up nice and small next i've got the blue yeti which is 120 watt solar panel so you can see it's nice and compact as well and then finally we've got the jackery solar saga 100 and this thing is just a two panel design it's a 100 watt panel and i can't wait to put these things to use you can see the jackery super simple folds out it's got legs on the back to kick out to put it at a 45 degree angle secures with magnets the blue yeti it's also got legs that kick out it folds out into four longer panels like this 120 watts and then the bug out 130 by overland solar this rolls out like this for 130 watts of input i have no experience with solar so i am super excited to to use these and make this part of my my kit this one may sound a little silly but if you've seen me some of my other videos you know how crazy i get about lights and good quality lights and i've got several here that i can't wait to put to the test i've got two here by ust then i've got these here by mpower they're lucy lights this one is the inflatable light i love it this is their string light for hanging up around the hammock string in between you know two trees at camp or something this one is their little bendy light for creating a work light hanging it up lots of options here this is ust's little lantern light you can hang it from things it's this charges up glow-in-the-dark so you can find it at night and then this is a little work light by ust and it has a little kickstand which is great it has multiple levels of brightness but what i think is cool about this one is you can take a tripod mount and stick it in a tripod to have light around camp up high and i just think that's really cool i may be totally geeking out over lights and you know that's okay but the thing i like about all of these except for this one is they all recharge from solar this one still have to have a usb plug in it but these all charge from solar and i think they're great this one puts out a heck of a light it folds up small but then makes a really big light around camp this thing's awesome and it can also recharge a phone so it has a power bank built into this to recharge phones and smaller devices so i could actually use this to recharge this handy and then just stick this out in the sun to recharge it and then it just folds down super flat anyway i probably get a little too excited about lights but i am crazy excited about these and several of these i will be using this weekend possibly all of these we'll see and this weekend i'm on a trip that my wife can't join us on and so we just got the garmin inreach mini never had one before so excited to use this this weekend just for her peace of mind check in once we get to camp if there's trouble and we're late to camp or something i can notify her but great way to communicate with your family members and emergency responders in case of emergency when you're out in the place where it has no cell phone signal so fantastic can't wait to use this little guy this one i may get in trouble for because technically it's not mine this is my wife's but this is her water port and if you saw my real world overlander number six video i was working on a mount to put it on the roof rack of a grand cherokee and i'm just super excited to have this it's a pressurized water tank but not pressurized like dangerous like my my one up here and it's got three ways you can pressurize it it's got a hand pump it's got an inlet here that you can attach an air compressor to or a bicycle pump or something like that or it actually has the option to pressurize it as you're filling it up from a garden hose and as it fills up it will pressurize while it's in there so it holds about four gallons worth of water which is great for a quick shower at camp housing things off cleaning dishes that sort of thing it's even got this handy-dandy little mount there for the sprayer but i'm super excited about this like i said it's water port they make a couple different mounts to fit roof racks or rock rails nerf bar all kinds of things they but super excited about this for my wife's sake but i'm excited about using it too and then finally we've got our jackery 500 that my wife bought we've got the jackery 1000 that jackery actually gifted to us but then i just got this blue yeti acs50s and i can't wait to put this to use this weekend i'm gonna keep it in the back of my rig i'm gonna keep my drone charged with it i'm gonna keep my gopros charged um at night may put this under my hammock just set my phone here because it's got a wireless charging pad for your phone um i'm taking this with me this weekend and i can't wait to use it i've tested it and i love it and but i haven't actually taken it on a trip and this one's going with me this weekend so if you think this stuff is cool if you think i'd love to have that in my kit i've got links to all this sort of stuff it is
