My experience attempting to tier T100 on Hermit as a F2P - [Project Sekai]

warning there's a KMS joke in this video it's not used in a serious context it is solely done for humor but I thought it was a good idea to put this here in case any of you got caught off guard and it made you uncomfortable okay so the beginning of this script has been made a few months in advance before the event even started for the sake of expectations versus reality in your mindless entertainment so keep that in mind as I go over this if you know me you would know I'm quite the bandori fan and it is for that exact reason why I was so interested in Project Sakai despite how I came into the party late due to the minor hindrance of being physically unable to play it for the longest time now despite being a bandori fan I never really tried to passionately tear which is odd cause I've come to learn through sekai that tearing is a lot of fun once you commit to it and by fun I mean painful so for that reason I'm gonna try and document my first ever attempt to competitively tear what's also interesting about this is that I'm completely free to play because I would rather not commit to a gambling addiction over a JPEG with that being said what do I want to tear for well if you read the title that should be obvious but I should probably get on my quick thoughts on sekai's plot and characters while I'm at it first it's great I've only caught up with the en stories so I don't have the same context most of the fandom does this will change soon though but eventually stuck with me in a really good way and I've adopted these guys as my children there's a Charming relatable and thematically Rich that I gotta touch them very easily and now I can't let any of them go with an exception that I will not name it also helps that they each feel important to their respective units and there's nobody who stands out in lacking a role to play nor characterization which a lot of these types of games fall under they'll have some sort of deal going on and that's always a positive a lot of these Idol games tend to miss crazy how a game about therapist Miku could do this but if you have no idea who I am I'm probably boring you so let's cut to the chase these are my favorite characters to the surprise of absolutely no one who knows anything about me I like misaki and I like Anna so what better events of attempt to tear on than one of the most anticipated and competitive Eon events with a limited gotcha yay yep I'll be cheering on my footprints your destination namely because I need my Mizu and a shrine seriously you do not understand how instantly I fell for these two wait it's called what in the inversion permit I'll be calling it The Hermit event for this video also these cards the theme of this whole set beautiful look at the Canada day as well she's so cute I love her too so throughout these months I've aimed to collect 90k crystals before the event even came around so I could prepare and so the following is going to be a log of you enjoying my suffering instead of working on another video I say with my new setup I choose to waste it on making myself miserable for the sake of content I started my preparation for this event at the start of August soon after I was out on my beginner phase for the game all the crystals for that went to the Summer Festival gotcha because I needed the shinanome siblings and what can I say Akito loves me because of that event I had to start from scratch and Race 90k by the time the event rolled around for a chance to spark because of this I had to aim for 10K per event in which I was luckier with some events than others in achieving that I also tried to play enough to end up in the top 10K range for each of the events a plan that worked out really well it also helped me get skill up since I very much needed those and fast surprisingly there were a number of events where I wasn't even aiming that high and I ended up in the top 5K not that I'm complaining though more crystals for me but during all this I realized I was gonna need the secret distance Mako card if I were to have the best chances at tiering for this event and well I didn't have that card so I tried to take advantage of my free pools from the Miku anniversary as well as scramble fast it went about as well as you'd expect but it's okay for there was a pickle sculpture that I definitely used with my paid crystals and definitely didn't pick 10 cards to stare at for hours on end Knowing damn well I can't roll capitalism am I right and if I wasn't pathetic enough right before scramble this the anniversary which has a rate up I proceeded to be tempted by the Snow White gotcha since I didn't have that many useful happy themed Night Court cards only for my temptation to drop myself below 60k once I had reached 70k since I did 6 10 pulls and I had to spend the next to event earning it back plus keeping the usual 10K per event goal I'm a the cancellation of Revival my dream also made me worried I wouldn't be able to earn 90k in time this isn't a criticism against the cancellation of Revival my dream you know what the best part is though I didn't even get any cards from the set and it turns that I tiered perfectly fine anyways making it decently high but hey at least I got a new honemi 4 star out of it so it can't be all that bad so yeah I had to try more harder than usual to earn those crystals back in time which hopefully the anniversary would Hear My Cries and lend me a hand it kinda did and kinda didn't here's the thing it took me until this point to notice a strategy to Quick character rank ups and tons of crystals it's to spam wish pieces on all of your two stars which helps me get back on track so much I even attempted haruka's birthday pool once and failed but eventually both scramblefast and bout beside you landed me at a lovely 95k nearing 96k I officially had enough to spark and reach my 90k goal hermit Mizuki was mine hopefully so on the final day I avoided doing my challenge show and got an early night preparing for what was next to cup percent generic gotcha Roll video and 40 actually tearing log and currently writing this script I don't think that's actually the case so let's get this started first though here are my live reactions to the role so you guys can see how it went learning I was very tired when this started it was 8 am I woke up at like seven in the morning for this oh Good Start good start how many how many how many how many one okay take it yes yes yes yes yes oh my God first full first of all oh my God oh my God oh my God oh my God oh my God okay again again we need we need I know and comedy okay oh I still actually loaded for a bit nope I can't believe I skipped that no oh my God I know and they're done I just need kanaday okay I should probably check if it flips it does not oh my God oh please be more than one I waited long enough let's do awesome [Music] oh for sake well I can get a hairstyle now that's awesome okay any four star actually would do but kind of day or two again another honami yay oh okay at least I actually get to see the reveal this time okay garbage for sake my beloved [Music] thank you Miku first one ew no I'm kidding I love this card two more would be nice if I rolled kind of day but you know one more oh my God you with me Young so proud I rolled uh Canada in the gotcha guys and there you go I got relatively lucky especially considering the people I came across during my journey to those people I am so sorry I was initially planning to go over this script daily to log each of the different days but I'm not gonna lie this event is so competitive that I physically couldn't log my progress for the first four days I knew Mizuki was popular but holy how were your hands okay top 100 I was no better yeah basically I got pretty high in the top 200 which was my initial goal on the first day and that was when I decided to try and waste all of my large bonus energy drinks within the first two days and attempt to make it the top 100 so yeah everything that happens from hero now is my fault and I deserve every single bit of it why is there a super heavy fan in the top 10 even with all of my energy drinks wasted I was just edged out of the top 100 and now I have to resort to my leftover crystals which to be fair I have like 40K to continue my journey so it's not like it isn't doable these several days have been absolute hell on my wrists but eventually it didn't even become a wrist problem at all it started to become a weight problem in most of the instances where I was just unable to reach top 100 was because I had to sleep or my vision would start to get blurry this sounds extremely concerning but I assure you I took care of my health like I said I slept when I knew I couldn't be going anymore and I kept stretching exercises to prevent carpal tunnel with all that being said day one was the absolute worst with that out of the way I'd like to bring up a special thanks to my friends who helped me tear throughout this event but especially on the first day I put out a shout out for them on my profile but I cannot stress enough how much I couldn't have accomplished any of this without them the friends in question were zyrus Mez Len Lil kaito and Skyler white we basically spammed cans for several hours until we each had to sleep but it was a massive help as well as just made this experience incredibly fun trust me if I was alone this experience would not be fun there were these other members of my friends list that helped invite me to games with it several rounds with me to help me tear and they were also a mess of help I would have given them a profile shout out as well if I had enough room but unfortunately there was only room for one more I also had a lot of support from people who don't play project sekai but have played enough gotchas to know how tiering works and the answer hell it is so thanks to them too I should also mention I had my 22nd birthday throughout these three days I spent the whole time either playing or sleeping I finally did it after three whole days of slowly crawling my way through ranks only to just barely Edge it I finally did it I made it into the top 100 as a free to player this is both a great thing and a terrible thing the reason why it's terrible meant that now I feel like I'm obligated to install my crystal to make it to top 100 to the end of the event since I've gotten as far as our freedom player so all that hard work will go to waste if I let that go down the drain the good news is that I get to flex hashtag I survived hermit so here I am in a Discord voice call with Skyler white listening to my fingers burst and my attention span declining which made me do horribly at songs after playing non-stop for 24 hours and whenever I expressed my anguish Skyler would be responding with a polite okay and that pretty much describes my experience by the way I didn't mention this in the first three days but at one point I was just about to reach top 100 when my game bugged down to deliberately not working on half the notes from what I can only assume is my phone overheating so I had to put it down and drop again I am so glad I managed to get back up I have a weird feeling I'm not emphasizing just how painful this was I eventually left the day at a 9-2 spot next to only to get cooked to 93 by dick launcher 3000 but hey at least I could meet my hero for two seconds surprisingly I didn't drop too far after I rested or at least I didn't drop out of the top 100 which is a good thing but man this process is getting incredibly tiring and repetitive don't get me wrong I'm having a lot of fun since my friends were here for it to support me but I am literally just playing games non-stop all day with the occasional hydration and exercise break and even then they'll last about an hour at most and I only performed them for the sake of preventing my limbs from collapsing on the spot apparently events are never like this this just so happens to be the most anticipated event on en so it has to be triple the amount of effort required because of how insanely competitive Nightcore stands are absolutely fantastic for your information remember Mez mentioned them before yeah they made a top 100 on Su Casa's first event Focus you know tsupassa one of the most popular characters in The fandom outside of Mizuki and maybe rui and even then that's debatable yeah Nez told me my current score by the end of today was over double the amount of points they had by the end of that event they tried on fun moral of the story is that if you ever plan to get into project sikai stand one more jump if you want to keep your brain cells intact Stan Mizuki you hate yourself but hey I have some free time and secured my place for now so why don't I give the story a read is it too late to kill mice not much really happened today so here's a compilation of names I found entertaining which dream last night that I was banned from the event as punishment for inappropriate language of my profile the inappropriate language in question being homosexual anyway today I had the worst start ever we were doing our usual group rounds while I burnt through 2K Crystals at once with non-stop games I repeat I burnt through 2K crystals and all I did was drop I was getting kicked out the more I played no matter what I did so let's just say my anxiety was through the roof so I decided to take a risk and pull an all-nighter to get ahead of everyone else it failed man this game sure loves nijiro's stories I swear this game has picked this song so many times would it be nice if I could actually play the song though because oh my God I spent more times in these lobbies than I have playing through some all cause some guy cried about how the game picked a song they don't like after it's been 30 minutes bugging out and not loading the game properly if you were any of the people who willingly disbanded a game for this reason I hope you were aware that I hate you and I hope your charger only works at a specific angle and no I do not make a single exception I'm serious though I played my most anxiety-inducing drops on the disbands and bugs it was that frustrating and guess what immediately after I I finished another batch of crystals I dropped anyway so that's just fantastic I could have used those crystals to roll for fascinating you know regardless I landed myself in the 65 spot with everyone right on my tail for the day and I pretty much had no other choice for them to sleep because I was starting to see Dublin up every single song I think this experience actively made me a worse player and I had my biggest drop yet by 11 spots you want to know what song this game liked today and I made it really liked it machine gun poem doll you don't want to know what I think about that song honestly there isn't much to say today it's the same as the other days except way more stress inducing as the conclusion draws nearer I will say however I would like to give a moment of silence for everyone I spawn next to with a name-relating town Mizuki and or Anna didn't come home next to my second Mastery four star limited Anna shinanome I'm sorry but yeah as much as I tried there's really not much to say for today it just bled into the previous and upcoming day quickly and it's the same as usual the most I can tell you is that I made an Indescribable pain right now and I think I'm gonna come out of this a completely different person and now for the day you've all been waiting for thank you hell just so you know I have an anxiety disorder so you'll never guess how I felt throughout this day as I was slowly dropping from the late 60s to the early 70s range and how I was slowly wasting more and more crystals if I failed this literally all of these crystals went to waste then I can only hallucinate what banners I could have used them on instead if I don't get this right I'm a failure so here we go with my rank increasingly dropping as the hours went by I thought I was done for there was no more I even dropped as far as rank 85 a Ranka hadn't even touched in days that is however until a vc'd with Mets My Savior and they told me to use five to six energy boosts instead of three and that's why I was originally going to show you a total of what I spent in crystals for reference but now I can't do that because I was spamming games and crystals for hours not keeping a track of them because I was so scared to drop so uh sorry about that my final count on my sticky notes were 90 large cans 80 small cans and 23k crystals but please don't take that as definitive this event was way too stress inducing and competitive to keep a reliable track of these things also I don't think that's accurate was it worth it though with all the my anxiety through the roof eventually the event ended and the results came in rank 76 I did it suddenly all my anxiety relief me and my friends all got our ideal placement well everyone except for Skyler and we were all so proud of each other and then I immediately went to bed because I only got a few hours of sleep a day during this don't tear in a Mizuki akiyama event worst mistake of my life hey it may seem like it was nothing but suffering throughout this event and to be fair the suffering part is not entirely wrong but I'd like to say this was tons of fun and the fact that I actually managed to make top 100 on the most competitive en event so far and is a free to play this was so unbelievably satisfying with that being said if you want a word of advice don't be stupid like me and spend above 20K crystals once you run out of energy drinks just for a 50 chance of making it top 100 on one of the biggest events in the game if you screw up those crystals are gone after all I just got extremely lucky as well as having tons of support to help me to get to where I was seriously I cannot thank my friends enough for how this event went and I don't care if that sounds repetitive at this point this was so insanely fun because of them and the games we set up to make it to the cutoff points as we desired alongside both the support and general advice and tips I was getting from them that made me a better player I don't know how many people in the top 100 were free to play like me but if you were in the top 100 let me know if you are free to play or not I'm genuinely curious who else took the risk I did this event genuinely made me confident that I can tear on most of my desired events in the future like I was expecting top 200 in the first place so getting top 100 triple times the average final score was insane if I can accomplish that the other events I want to tier 4 should be perfectly doable as long as I prepare is hard then again it is all dependent on luck after all and to all those intending to tear on white day uh good luck it'll probably be worse as for me I'll have to see how my crystal farming is but my next hearing journey is going to lead me to Valentine's these limbs are absolutely adorable and it's three of some of my favorite characters in one set plus it doesn't seem nearly as competitive as hermit even in spite of emu's presence hopefully in spite of making a massive waste of crystals and the fact that I went from level 165 to level 232 that is not a joke I'll be able to farm for it if I can maybe I'll make another video like this albeit probably not as interesting in fact while you're here welcome to my new channel this is my first original video that isn't a
