y'all know nothing about this you need to pay attention sit back and relax it's time for Good's Country [Music] Kitchen all right I'm out here in Shelby County in Bagdad Kentucky and I get a lot of questions from people all the time that ask me where is your favorite place that you ever reviewed so that's what brings me out here today I'm revisiting BNN food Mark and this is the absolute favorite place I've ever been to and there's a lot of reasons and I'm going to show you why here in a little bit but first I got some thank yous I got to give I got one came from Nashville from Happy old dog and cat farm and they sent me $25 and y'all need to look up their YouTube page because they take in Old cats and dogs that are unwanted and they find them a home for their final days so anything that you can send to them goes to a good cause and speaking of dogs and cats I got a bob Cheshire who sent me $25 thank you Bob and Al's 125lb weight loss tour YouTube channel sent me $10 I appreciate that of course Bill North sent me $20 Sandy nevit she sent me $10 so I thank you all y'all don't know how much that means to me you notice it's a rainy day out here it's Friday the PGA tournament's going on down the street from my house so I needed to get out on a rainy day and get away from all that PGA hoopla and what better thing could you do than take a ride out in the country and get you some good country cooking and I'm going to show you what they have in here today I already did a review before it was actually a two-day video that me and my dad did came out two different days I covered a lot but this place is so good I could come out here five or six times and not even possibly cover all the good things that they have to offer it's a little country store with a whole lot to give so I'm going to go on in and check it out okay one of the reasons that this is my favorite place is it reminds me of my parents old restaurant Goodall's Country Store you go up to the counter place your order they holler your name out bring it out to you but I'm out here on fish Friday I already had fish in that last review so I'm going to get some different things and of course one thing you can get out here you don't find many places is they carry s perel's sou I'm want to get some of that and then they got all that good country baloney regular baloney Cajun turkey Dixie loaf liver cheese ham and cheese loaf pickle pomino loaf they got their own bacon that they slice their own ground beef and of course they make their own sausage and desserts which are all incredible so look at that and all of it's homemade okay there's one reason why it's my favorite place and I want to give you a whole lot more but trying not to show too many people but it's so crowded I just don't see any way around it okay as you see no shortage of accolades that's for sure and look at this a little Shelby County Magazine Special on Buckshot with his twin daughters there is it out of where all the magic takes place back here ladies hard at work they got that Flat Top Grill deep fryer and look at that old timey Hobart hamburger grinder you all saw on that original review their brisket and ribs are out of sight some of the best barbecue I ever had but I love this saying there brisket is as tender as my mother-in-law's love ain't that sweet speaking of good stuff just about everything here that I've had so far is as good or better than anything I've ever had before and I'm talking about everything Burgers meatloaf barbecue fish you name it so I'm going to try to get into some new territory today and see how that Stacks up bookshot wanted to show me something he's got going out here real quick what are these These are briskets right here here they're just about ready I have to check them I have to be in there working slicing baloney and then checking briskets all second it's a job this guy is has scientific method to his craft here look at him you want him to be just right all right I want to start off with a little appetizer here something I know y I don't know nothing about and this is actually a first for me on this channel something I ain't had in probably 10 years or so at sou I was showing you which I'm not sure what all is involved in it except for it's got different parts of the pig thrown in there you don't hardly go anywhere even at the country stores you can't hardly find sou so that's one thing I want to take advantage n of wi here got with spicy mustard and pepper cheese and all the [Music] fixes if you ever go to a place and and you see sauce or head cheese you need to get you a sandwich and don't knock it until you try it another thing kind of changed from the first time when I reviewed it this sign used to be their old original sign that hung out in front of the store and a tornado type winds came through one night and busted their sign up so now they got it memorialized and framed you had have been there since 1970 50 years now down here there a bunch of artwork local elementary school did they were uh told to draw their favorite things and half the class painted uh the BNN food market a't that kind of cool I'm Angel here at n plus1 bikes and I'm here to tell you a little bit about our shop we offer many brands you name it we most likely have it we have entrylevel bikes we have top tier bikes anything from and say hi and drop off your [Music] bike if y'all want to know if this ground beef is fresh it don't get no fresher than that fresh Burgers straight from the grinder balling them up fresh I'm telling you you're not going to get a fresher burger with this quality of meat anywhere around Wes all righty they're also known for their cheeseburger called the N Burger which is named after buckshot's grandfather now what better Memorial could you have to your granddad than a well-known Kentucky cheeseburger I think they were voted number one or number two in the state on cheese burger and you know one thing about their their burger I've had here of course you know it's fresh ground daily it's not just it's not about the size I think it's a third of a pound but it's the taste it's got a real distinct taste cooked on a good Country Griddle got it old school lettuce tomato onion pickle mayonnaise American cheese now y'all know how I do it I got to do with a ketchup dip you ain't going to get a burger with this good a taste you might get one bigger you might go down to newl get you a yepy burger with all the Chutney and the all that stuff on there you ain't going to get nothing like [Music] this wash it down a little diet all right I already showed y'all the ribs and the brisket in the original video they've got the shredded smoked pork butt you see there I got the onion and pickle on it and and homemade barbecue sauce of course you know I come prepared saved by grace don't go anywhere without it put that on there I'm going go ahead got the mac and cheese and the greens mixed greens I got large sides I got a small and a large side got went and got the large why not oh cornbread got to have the cornbread with them greens thank you that's a nice looking sandwich here and without even biting into it I can tell it's juicy a lot of times you go places get to pull pork it's dry I know there's nothing fancy about smoked pork butt but there is is a secret to the way he smokes it and it's not dry I can guarantee [Music] it made with love all right mix greens look at there need more grace you never have enough Grace that's for [Music] sure I can tell you that these greens ain't seasoned with smoked turkey necks now the young lady handed me some Toma sauce I think that's what it is let me try it yeah homemade Toma sauce all right now I'm moving along to the mac and cheese just look at the steam roll rolling off of it you're [Music] good now some of this sweet cornbread oh yeah just go ahead and put that in the greens cuz you know whatever broth is left over in these greens I'm soing it up with that cornbread as Sam would say it wouldn't be any good if you couldn't soop it up all right so I'm sure there's a reason she handed me that Toma sauce and I have to assume that she wanted me to try it on the PO pork so let me give it a whirl very tasty was that tell matilla sauce supposed to go on the pork that's what I thought very very delicious see I like to sit back here by the back door of the kitchen that way they can keep an eye on me and and give me accessories to accentuate my food as they see [Music] needed everything is here like I said everything I have here is is good or better the best thing you're ever going to get not to mention the laidback authentic Country Store atmosphere this place is 125 years old this building and you know what makes the food tasting better as these young ladies and uh Buckshot the owner everybody works here just make you feel welcome just like you're at Grandma's Kitchen shop secondhand first with pedler small new products are added daily by our vendors vintage antiques uniques Furniture clothing Collectibles crafts gifts Oddities home decor and more hundreds of vendors in every location you bit but I just couldn't stand the thought of not getting some of their pinto beans I've had their white beans before but this looks like it's flavored with some kind of pepper in there if you see the Green in there Buckshot said that they're kind of what he calls a San Antonio style I see some red in there let me see if I see what that is I think that's a carrot let me see what the green is if I can identify that I ain't trying to give out bookshot Secrets or anything that's a pepper I'm just not sure what kind that might actually be a serrano pepper [Music] perfect seasoning it's got the pork and then of course it's got the Sano pepper I'm I'm almost sure at Sano very good and it's about ready to get better I just got the secret well it ain't secret now but that wasn't cilantro Peppers that was green chilies now where in the world you going to get pinto beans in Louisville Kentucky with cilantro and green chilies in it and the red thing in there that was tomato so this is a whole different Twist on some pinto beans well all the times I've been here which has been several I've never gotten their homemade soft serve ice cream which is unbelievable but I'm going to be getting it today all right time for the awardwinning soft serve ice cream you you pour your own they got three different sizes I got the small and I could have heaped it up if I wanted to but y'all know me I ain't trying to be a hog or nothing you can tell right off the bat that's got real bananas in there that ain't no artificial flavor and I can promise you that they also have chocolate or you can get a you can swirl it with the chocolate and the banana now I could get another sandwich maybe two but I ain't trying to show off or anything plus I got a long drive back to Louisville I don't want to fall asleep at the wheel all right I think I've pretty much covered it all the food is topnotch the atmosphere the history behind the place the memories of me growing up in my parents old restaurant Goodall's Country Store it's like going back 30 40 years back to good alls and most of all it's the love you feel from all the folks working there just make you feel good about coming out eating there and spending your money and that's why this has been my favorite top review place that I've ever done in five years that I've been doing my Chann Channel I'm hoping one day I can find a place to top it but y'all wanted the answer to the question and y'all don't know nothing about this BNN food [Applause] [Music] market now you know the facts of why I'm on a mission you're always
