hola muchachos welcome here since I showed you guys like my closet to clutter also talked about how I capsule wardrobe how I'm very particular about the pieces that I bring into my wardrobe that's my wardrobe that's my husband's wardrobe and it very much also goes for my children's wardrobe and that's what I want to talk about for today's video I'm particularly going over my oldest daughter Ivy's wardrobe Ivy's 3 she's going to be 4 in February I loved having a girl first because I could really kind of start my I've always dreamt this like going through the motions of that and dressing my girl and being with my girl who's very special for me to have ivy first very special for me to start dressing her and curating a wardrobe for her so for today's video I'm gonna be focusing on ivy Ivy's wardrobe I have some Tryon Clips of pieces that she really likes to wear and that goes for clothes shoes outerwear and some hair pieces as well I'm literally gonna show you guys everything all of her pants all her clothes her dresses her outerwear her shoes I got a lot of questions on shoes I just know as a mom I wish I could have watched a video like this a while ago I had to do all this research on my own into really great pieces for kiddos things that are very functional very comfortable very beneficial I love thrifting pieces a lot of my children's wardrobes are thrifted and then on the other hand I do put more money and I guess even attention into some pieces that I think are extremely crucial in her wardrobe and that can be passed down from her to her siblings and future siblings if that may be so I hope if you're just kind of a mama and you have a daughter who is younger or older than where Ivy's right now maybe this will give you some inspiration and maybe fill those gaps that you feel are in your children's wardrobe I feel very thankful for everything that we have been able to clothe our daughter and our other two children with we are never without and the Lord always provides and just doing a video like this is very very cool to me and again I'm just very thankful so thank you for being here be sure to subscribe if you new now we're gonna go ahead and jump into everything I'm just gonna slide in here a quick overview of Ivy's wardrobe and where I store her clothes her and my other daughter Elizabeth they both share a room the drawers that we have for them are originally from Ikea we've had them for years and years and years one of the dressers is for ivy and one of them is for Elizabeth they're very small they're very shallow but what I love about them is I can store quite a few pieces of clothing in them there's a lot of drawers so I can really properly separate everything there's room for us to put dresses and stuff above the dressers because we store everything in there quite small closet it's a great closet but it is pretty small like shallow like depth wise I guess it's pretty shallow but I love how short it is it's very Montessori Montessori so how you say that thing that's going around now that's been around forever it's pretty much just giving your child the ability to go ahead and grab something and use it so for Ivy she's able to grab her clothes as well as Elizabeth's clothes in the morning she nine times out of 10 will actually pick what she wears and would Elizabeth wears which is really cool everything is easily accessible and I really really like that as for her outerwear and shoes they're all just stored downstairs just outside of our garage and some baskets again they're at the proper height where she could pull them out and grab out whatever she needs it gives me I don't know I could take a bit of a step back and then she can go ahead and take that responsibility for herself and I really appreciate it I think it's really cool and she enjoys it as well so in the closet I have some dresses for ivy I have four dresses for her anything more than that is too much and I already feel like four dresses is quite intense I haven't said this but I don't capsule wardrobe for my children just because they get a lot of hand-me-downs and they get messy and sometimes you have to change them multiple times in a day so capsule wardrobe being doesn't exactly work for my kids but might work for yours it works for me it actually doesn't work for my kids and kind of where they're at right now and that's totally fine to each their own but for Ivy in the closet we have some church dresses we have this one very much like a van of Green Gables type of dress it's blue and it has these great buttons and a tie in the back I think it's really beautiful we have a linen dress this is by June Isle it is a beautiful Brown it has some pockets and buttons this is one of the Ivy's favorites if she's gonna wear it it's usually gonna be this one I think it's quite adorable on her that blue dress was hazel and Leon this is by Haven kids this is maybe the second year ivy has worn this dress it's beautiful it's gray striped it has buttons she can wear this for play and she can also wear it to church a very similar style to that dress this is by kindred and co this is the second year ivy has worn this I buy everything a little bit bigger so it'll kind of fit her longer kind of purpley pink mauve color with hair bunny rabbits all over it this is actually one of Ivy's favorites too and in her closet I just have a nice big sweater this actually looks really cute over some of her dresses I believe this is a boy sweater but it's very neutral and I think it's kind of cool and then a cardigan which is usually what she'll wear to church over her dresses this is also by kindred and cold okay so getting it this feels like so much more than I thought it was going to be out of all the kids ivy has the most clothes I have some sweet aunts and cousins who just give Ivy a lot of clothes and I'm very very thankful when they do that and I feel like that's how Ivy has ended up with the most clothes out of all my children as I said Ivy really likes pattern a specifically floral pattern so I will go ahead and thrift or from hand-me-downs some beautiful floral patterned tops I have quite a few of them this one it's very soft and flowy that's thrifted this one is by Jack's and Lenin again a floral pattern but it's a t-shirt it's very comfortable this one by Haven kids Elizabeth actually has a matching onesie to this and it's just ridiculously soft and again that kind of floral organic pattern I find it so hilarious I'm describing these things because I know Ivy just looks at it and she's like oh there's a flower but like this natural organic pattern oh and buttons like Ivy loves her buttons and she's learning how to do buttons which is really fun Ivy's just has such a fun stage no one should have a favorite kid at least if they have one they shouldn't say anything but Ivy I think her stage right now is my favorite I just love what she's learning our conversations and also just her responsibilities and freedom she has on a lot of different things that my other kids don't have yet so it's very cool continuing with the patterns we like us a little bit of plaid this is just a cute thrifted plaid shirt that we got we're also in when it comes to stripes for Ivy's clothes a lot of the clothes that she does have are extremely comfortable a lot of them are caught in very stretchy I'm not someone who dresses my kids and like jeans and overalls even I just find that those are really restricting for my kids and they've never really enjoyed them so I like to do things that are very loose and flowy something she can enjoy to be in and play in she also has some flowy shirts this one is by Jackson Lenin she's had this since she was just over a year old and she continually wears it she also has a white shirt that is one of her favorites I thrifted it it's very flowy and beautiful she loves just spinning it and I think she just kind of looks like a little angel and then I have just a thermal top nice and warm especially with winter coming and like dang whoa guys it's cold it's so cool this top I tripped it it's originally by Zara it is a beautiful green kind of a corduroy top it's really beautiful and this quarter Oy is like coming back for fall and winter season the amount of girls that I see that I've probably like ransacked their granddad's wardrobes and just taken all that kind of out that corduroy velvet tops and stuff out like hilarious but it does look super cute and I told you guys Ivey has a lot of tops the last hop is this one it is almost like a sweater with a hood on it I think it's kind of cool and she looks like someone from Star Wars be sure to check down in the comments I'm going to have every single number of what Ivy owns down there the amount of shirts the amount of dresses so you guys can have more of an idea you may have more in your child's wardrobe or less but for me this is just kind of a less than average of what a usual kid has in their wardrobe and it works really well for us on to pants Ivy has mostly black leggings because they're comfortable because she can get dirty and spill and wreak havoc like literally wreak havoc in these and it is perfectly fine the best leggings you can buy for your kids are the Kindred and Co leggings they're very stretchy they're still mildly stretched they won't stretch out they always go back into their shape they're comfortable they're cuffed at the bottom they have a great elastic band they're just so soft they are my favorite and I have repurchased these for all my kids as they are growing as they are newborns they're just a huge staple any other black leggings are always thrifted and something a little warmer these are the jacks and Lenin leggings they're fleece on the inside so these are great to bundle her up in if we are going to pumpkin patch or outside or to Grandma and Grandpa's house they're just very warm Ivy does own one pair of jeans it is not very often I ever see her wearing these again she picks up her wardrobe and she usually won't reach for jeans because they are kind of uncomfortable as for pajamas we go crazy with color because we can it's just pajamas can be mismatched and thrown all over your body and it doesn't matter because they're pajamas and they're fun so jammies for ivy or fun she does like to have her colors or Yuna cat pajamas are her favorites we always thrift our pajamas it's not very often I will ever actually buy like ethical pajamas I just haven't haven't gotten there yet how my kids use their pajamas there's no way I'm gonna spend a lot of money on them as for like undergarments and socks Ivy has a bunch of these rumors we actually use these as her underwear for a long time but now we just use them as bloomers under her dress they're just very covering when it comes to her body and there are a lot more modest than just regular little underwears those are by Jackson linen as well as these these are beautiful underwear and they're full coverage I know a lot of Mama's will message me and just be like Sarah I want to find underwear that isn't so cheeky on my little girls because it is it's a lot so Jackson Lennon it's very soft they're easy to wash and it's full coverage they have a lot of different colors and I purchased a lot of Jackson Lennon items because I think the lady who owns it is quite spectacular she just started as a teeny tiny business and now she's quite huge all my kids wear root socks I think that these look the nicest they feel the nicest they wear the nicest they have the rubbers on the bottom there's a ton of different colors that we have and I can pass them on from kid to kid as long as they're not too worn but these are the ones that she'll wear everything they love our root socks as for knee-high socks the riley and crew they have really beautiful knee-high socks these ones are ribbed she has a pair of these white ones also some like mustard yellow ones but these are really cute with and let's talk about shoes here for a second these I I spend some money on but they're still not too bad these are at Eliza & Co shoes these are the boots they are ethically made and they're made of leather these are the shoes that I buy for all my kids all my kids have a pair of these so these are boots because they're great for the fall time they can be for a boy or a girl so these will be passed on to Calvin and those socks look so cute with those these are more specifically for church they're a little bit too big for IVs so usually I will pair socks with these just because they're a little bit too large and you can probably see that on the clip right here they're so cute they're like little ballerina flats and they tie at the ankle so it does stay on even if they're a little bit too big again they're leather and they're made ethically and I just think it is a beautiful beautiful brand ivy has hunter boots this is the third or second year in a row that ivy has had hunter boots so these ones we recently bought not too long ago I really like contributions I think they last really well I love the story behind them they look really good and they fit really good and I also double them as winter boots because I buy the boot socks so these boot socks you just put them on their feet and then they put their boot on and then you take the top and you cuff it over the top of the rubber boot and it's gonna look something like that it looks different when it's on actually a little person it's very warm they're very comfortable I think actually for the most part instead of buying a pair of rubber boots and a pair of winter boots doing this it's very cost-effective I do have some other shoes that she has but they're more focused on summer spring shoes so maybe I can do videos like this a little bit more xmi annually is that what you'd say it twice a year yes are almost done my leg is falling asleep ivy has a couple of coats this lunch that I think this is her second or third year wearing it this is a Jackson Lennon raincoat it's lined with a soft organic I think it's bamboo material it's black on the outside but I love the pattern on the inside I would have gotten ivy a super cute fun rain jacket but no this is being passed down to kelvins no we are very neutral it's got great pockets it's got a nice zipper I've never had any issues with this and it washes so well just in your washing machine I thrifted a fun coat for ivy that I would not be able to pass down to Calvin but Elizabeth will love this coat it is bright yellow and it has these beautiful buttons going down the inside even is really fun and it's just like a cute kind of longer P coat with her rain jacket if she wants a little bit more pizzazz and fun in color I have this hat it is by the brand Blueberry Hill it is a size medium it's cute it's a mustard kind of burnt orange color like pink pom-poms and details all over it she's very cute in this and with her bangs I just adore this on her and lastly and this is the last year I think Ivy will be wearing up on it this one we purchased last year from Riley and crew it's so cute I love this color and I love my girls in bonnets just you wait and see how many bonnets I have for Elizabeth that were from Ivy but anyway it's just there's a point where they can't do bonnets anymore and I think we're almost there but I'm really enjoying Ivy in this bonnet I think it's beautiful and sweet but she's just kind of growing out of them and I'll be holding on to the bonnet stage okay so that is everything for Ivy's wardrobe I hope that helped you guys a little bit I know if you're a new mom or your child is coming upon this stage kind of nice to see what's in another little girl's wardrobe and I lost a bunch of clips including my outro and some other descriptions on some of Ivy's pieces in her wardrobe so I had to give a shout out to the Jackson Lennon black jumper here it has buttons down the front and it's just very cozy and perfect for an at-home day her hair bows that are like my absolute favorite are by Maple roots and Co it is like a a lady who makes them out of like pre-loved materials and vintage fabrics and they just look so perfect and beautiful on Ivy so I had to give a solid mention to these and that's pretty much everything thank you so much for watching today's video I do hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for Calvin and Ellie's wardrobes as well I love you guys bye [Music]
