this video is brought to you by Tom talk ever since my last summer ADC episode I haven't found much of a reason to change what I carry on daily basis until now and I can't tell you how excited I am this here is the latest and most powerful 14-in MacBook Pro Apple has to offer and after years of hard work and over a half a year of trying to acquire it it is finally here aside from being an absolute Beast of a machine it was the missing piece that helped me shrink down my Daily Tech ential having to deal with long commutes however I still carry pretty much a portable desk setup with me but in a much smaller package so as always all the links will be in the description below and let's dive into this M3 Max MacBook Pro first this is a max out machine with 16 core CPU 40 core GPU and 128 GB UniFi memory and yes it also has an 8 TB SSD and you know what that means it means I will finally be able to ramp up my video production bringing you more videos that you can subscribe to because why not alongside the MacBook I also carry my trusty M2 11in iPad Pro which I mostly use for writing and drawing my wallpapers and also as the secondary monitor when I need to create an onto go desk setup using it inside car mode or you know secondary display most of the time I carry the iPad as is without a keyboard since I can use the MacBook Pro keyboard and trackpack when connecting it but occasionally I might grab the magic keyboard with me as well as you may have noticed pretty much all my gear is wrapped up with a debrand skin which I'm super happy about it doesn't have a case protection per se but at least I don't have to think about scratches when I leave something on a table the ones I picked are from D Brand's dead quarters lineup which complement the space black laptop like no other in terms of phones I carry two the primary phone is the iPhone 15 Pro primarily because of airri drop and my deep video workflow integration but aside from that I used the OnePlus open for pretty much everything else the zold 5 was the phone that made me fall in love with foldables and the OnePlus open was the one to bring my experience to the future with its seamless slim design almost invisible crease and it being a complete Powerhouse I am waiting for OnePlus to release their kickstand case which has been sold out for far too long so for now I wearing it with the case that came in the box and also a quick questionable screen protector the iPhone on the other hand is inside the most unique iPhone case I've ever owned it's by bandwork and it's called the classic case it actually comes in two parts assembled by screws featuring aluminum frame combined with premium leather from a high quality German tenery highend now it does add some bulk to the phone but this time I'm willing to go for over function because it looks fantastic on the back of the iPhone I always carry a Transformers wallet as I call it that I can use for a stand while being able to hold at least three cards and some backup cash this one in particular is by moft and it is the snap on wallet that I've talked about for ages I am yet to find an alternative that can hold that much while being that versatile I do carry a secondary wallet in my back and it is the MKBHD wallet which at the time was a limited drop honestly it is a very comfortable and lightweight wallet that I've been enjoying ever since but I carry it secondary because I can't use it as a stand it holds some additional secondary cards that I might need to utilize every once in a while in terms of wearable tech I have become a cyborg first of all I carry my Apple watch Ultra 2 pair it with bandworks vintage Stockholm band handmade brush bands like these only get better over time and as much as I love my stainless steel band a classic Buckle like this one will always allow me to use my laptop without worrying about you know scratching it recently I was sent the ultra human ring as well and that is my newest addition to my wearables it's a smart ring that I either carry on my middle finger or pointer fingers that helps me track my health and habits outside the activity world of the Apple watch sleeping and Recovery as you know have become a huge topic for many and as a father who appreciates his time a lot more than you know before I care about me being well rested and recovered in order to stay productive and most of all great this beautiful ring allows me to glance at my vitals like skin temperature heart rate saturation and more while lasting 6 days on a single charge and by the way no subscription I'll be sure to talk more about it soon as you may have assumed by now I don't carry all the items I'm sharing in this video daily unless I travel in this case I rely on Tom Talk's ta1 backpack cult vent pack it's 22 L in size and has this awesome military style look I took this backpack during my last last zold day in the life video trip and I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile it is for example the laptop compartment is padded and there's a separate one for the iPad where everything stays tucked in snug and very secure the front soft side expands for extra space like clothing for example and there's even a side zipper pocket which comes in handy for quick access when needed the entire backpack is made from water resistant recycled Fabrics with YKK zippers dur flex and woen buckles what I use daily is CH tox a30 laptop shoulder bag for the 14-in MacBook which I absolutely adore because it's equipped with four corner armor protectors for that peace of mind against bumps and dents this bag is super slim while having enough storage for my tech with its dry compartment on weekends I usually grab Tom to's Explorer t21 xack which is a 4 L sling bag that's 100% waterproof through Tom Talk's intuitive website builder I've customized mine to be black with orange accents and shoulder strap of course bright orange interior and as always my signature why not custom text the internal pockets are perfect for my essentials being able to fit a lot for its size including things like power Banks and even the Nintendo switch so no matter your EDC needs check out the first link in the description below to personalize your Tom talk so no matter the single bag I go for I always carry two pairs of earbuds the first pair of course is the airpods pro which are the gold standard when it comes to noise cancelling and sound quality but another pair that I glanced through in my last get the most out of Iphone episode were the OnePlus buds Pro 2 which were actually included in my OnePlus open order as a rebake if you were to purchase the OnePlus buds Pro 2 on their own they would cost you 180 bucks which is on par with Apple's airpods 3 while having the noise cancelling of the airpods pro without Mac safe of course and not as good all right so you may have noticed earlier that I'm using a little stand for when I'm not carrying the magic keyboard with me and this stand I've had for many many years it's by 12 South it's called compass and it's very handy because you can use it for either a tablet or a phone and it has little legs that can prop the iPhone in this leaning position like this or if you want to use it for sketching or something else all you have to do is extend this section here and collapse the back leg and now you have a more suitable drawing position it's very convenient I really like it it's made from metal it's sturdy and it's going to last for ages so I'll put that link in the description if you want to check it out as well a tiny little thing that always lives in my EDC now is the 8bit Dome microcontroller which is perhaps the cutest controller you can carry around it comes in funky bright colors and as hard as it is to comprehend it is a fully fledged controller that works with pretty much all devices it even supports button mapping as well as different profiles if you connect it with your iPhone for example to top it all this thing costs 20 bucks this might actually be the perfect inexpensive Christmas gift you're looking for as I mentioned I really wanted to reduce my daily accessories as much as possible and with the iPhone now having USBC I ditched the Apple dual charger that I've been carrying for years to compensate my Apple watch charging needs the only thing that I carry at this point is Paca Apple watch dongle which can be plugged in anywhere to draw Power unfortunately it is not a fast char charger like the OEM Puck but it's tiny I can even use it directly from the iPhone and of course plug into the wall charger which I will talk more about in a second continuing the topic of small stuff I also carry a pair of nomad charge Keys these are keychains that are actually charging cables and are made to last they're made from durable braided cables and zinc tips that connect to each other magnetically to stay compact I have both the USBC to USBC version as well as the USBC to lightning which is obsolete at this point however very useful this very lightning portion is what I Ed to top up my second generation airpods Pro which is not the latest that includes the USBC shrinking things even more I also Carri two usba to USBC adapters because I never know when I might need to plug something old school into my tablet or laptop the ones I carry are by basos but you can find many Alternatives which I'll link in the description my advice is not to cheap out on such little accessories and buy any expensive Alternatives by you know unknown Brands as they might potentially damage your ports shop for something from a reputable brand my main charging cable is the u- green USBC to USBC which is 2 m long I picked the 2 m version as it comes in very handy when staying in hotels or places where Outlets might be further away from the nightstand this in particular is a very rugged braided cable made from nylon and what's cool about it is that it supports 100 WS charging while on topic of U green with the new 14-in Macbook Pro which requires 96 WS of power I was able to shrink down my charger and I started carrying this new nexo Pro 100 wat version now I still can't believe this packs 100 wats of power of course the US prongs are much sleeker with its retractable prongs but even the EU model is nothing shy of compact it has two USBC ports and one usba a and as with everything from ugreen it has built-in protection and temperature control one thing I wish I could live without is a hub but it is a good have just in case the model I have supports 100 W pass through charging which allows it to charge a device that is plugged in while supporting 4K at 60 HZ USBC to HDMI most often I might use this when working remotely or when doing something from the iPad as I only have one port to play with I wish it had some sort of a retractable cable or some kind of a cable Canal that I can tuck you know tuck it in but other than that it's really good I handled my key situation with the help of the ridge key case where mine AC andd royal black color it's made from aluminum and it expands to hold two to six Keys it's very rugged and minimal looking and what I utilize the most is the clip which allows me to attach it to either my jeans pocket or the loop on the side of my sling if you want to learn more about my iPad keyboard choices and also find some cool external battery
