music producer reacts to the curse of the sad mummy okay who's the sad mummy for the league of legends fans that follow me up here welcome back if you don't know who i am i'm joey natto i'm an artist music producer mix engineer songwriter youtuber but this has probably been a really common name or title that i've seen pop up here and there the curse of the sad moment people really want to hear my thoughts on it what i do is break down these songs from a music production perspective i have no idea what genre this is gonna be i look this is what i love one thing that's really fun about doing these type of videos for me is going in blind and not knowing what the hell to expect so that's uh pretty much what's gonna happen here by the way i did a video that you guys seem to love where i played league of legends for the first time i haven't played the game since then but definitely leave a comment below if you want me to play it a second time the first time i was with my friend but this time i'd be playing it completely by myself but yeah just a little little bonus thing i'm throwing in there all right the wait is over who is the sad mummy all right curse of the sad mummy but that's the eagle next to it i feel you maybe vulture eagle i don't know all right see the tomb pyramids i hate i hate doing exactly what i'm doing right now by the way i hate when i watch a reaction someone's like there's a pyramid oh he opened the door it's like we know maybe i'll just delete this part and just get right into the song okay nice descending chords here with the piano feeling sad vibes sad mommy every child and valerane has heard the tale before about the curse mummy boy who felt his heart no more okay so this is a nice kind of like piano acoustic type vibe here i'm sure it's gonna build up to something more because it's league of legends but this is this is a really nice calm vibe right now is the mummy like a champion i'm not sure but yeah he's got some very nice reverb on his voice it's just giving the vocals a little bit more space you know it doesn't sound dry it's just very atmospheric right now it has like a foggy sad type feel i would say [Music] they soft touches on the keys so you hear that very nice insertion of the violin right there but i like how the tempo of the piano was going or the pace of the piano because the piano at first was like eighth notes and they were bouncing back and forth they were like [Music] but then on the second part of the verse right before the violence came in the pianos were like like they would like stop and then it picked up back again [Music] like that's a nice way to keep the listener engaged and not get them bored so i like that and then we have the violin here to keep our attention very nice it's cool video so far too [Music] the moon became a flower interesting so it sounds like we got a cello now and a flute along with these high piano chords [Music] okay some kind of table drum of some sort for many the years determined to make friends if only they would understand but even when the time signature changed what's gonna happen but then did you hear that string effect in the background like that that was hard that like lets you know like sun's about to go down and i like how everything dropped out all these strings were building up and then they all drop out and just let that little soft piano rock even the vocalists like his vocals are a lot more of a soft tone now like it sounded like he was intensifying his voice a little bit but then he dropped back down the dynamic control on this song and the awareness of that is everything right now it's controlling the mood of the [Music] that listeners shall someone become his friend who the baseline [Music] we knew this was coming [Music] [Applause] [Music] let me go back and hear that again because there was a lot that happened right there you knew the song was building up to some kind of explosion but i didn't know what [Music] so right there like the drums and there you hear those bass drums being smacked in the background building up and then the string started going like in a really fast pace if you heard it the that like violin in the background was like like really fast so let's see uh what it built up to of course the long sustained note so basically it's base dominant for that first half and uh the choice for those descending notes for that bass line is is amazing and i think it's a bass that's playing but it's mixed with maybe some low piano notes in there but what's really picking up the intensity in the second half of this big part here of the song like the climax of the song is there's a high string that's inserted on the second half so it's like low notes and low notes and bass heavy for the first half and then the second half that high string comes in and it really just picks up the intensity [Applause] back to the piano you hear the oh they had beautiful delay echoes on those strings so late it was for him for them the evil curse had won the anger and the anguish overwhelmed his fragile soul damn no no happy ending there's that string effect i was talking about you hear it really clear there no happy ending huh that sucks i'm guessing he's a champion in the game i'm guessing he goes crazy because he's not happy yeah i love the instrument choice there i love that they didn't bail out and get like all like pop with it or like really super rock with it during the climax like they really kept it really unique for their style and kept it pretty orchestral during that hook there but it had like it had like teases that like some rock vibes or anything but it didn't go all the way with it and um i like that curse of the sad mummy sorry mommy i appreciate you guys watching this i know it's been a while since i did a league of legends type video but you gotta understand yo i do a lot on this channel you know i'm an artist myself so i do songs music videos i do beat making videos sometimes on this channel not that much but i'll probably be doing a lot more very soon i do the music producer react series but i do it to so many different things i don't like to just stick with just one thing you know i i like variety it's always been like that in my life that's just my personality sometimes i do funny videos here and there there's a lot that goes on on this
