know him as mr easy whoa father easy we got for sale sir everything good one gift thanks man i read already definitely see how do you think i'm standing pro the understanding give thanks man i tried it somewhere get out of here it's a beautiful thing glad we hear that the thing i like we'll build it to where it is now and i know it's going to be bigger and it's going to get bigger i appreciate it i'm a part of the history so i'll give thanks for that teach them strange things are happening straightens straight he ain't strange things are rapping and straying their mouth starts cool them dubstep working now them select run gun teach them get him first up at the age of 13 and him around the place warm now he is older still taking sound for his life teach them start rain again yo mr easy enough mad mo [Music] teach them always make sure the message i reach them money block easy settings easy settings represent the color you know yeah yeah old as well you know yeah man talk to a store early life place of birth place of birth you know mountain view to be exact you know yeah yeah mountain view in kingston who don't know where's mountains from our people aren't jamaicans because a lot of other nationalities watch your program yeah yeah so we have to meet them now where is mountain view yeah well it's in the east of kingston eastern eastern kingston that's where i was born that's where i was birthed yeah so that's where i grew up no i grew up in a parish off a beautiful park it's called chelani oh so after after birth you went to chilean at the time about three years or three so reasons because you know you know as as kids sometimes your parents migrate and when they migrate you have to go and live with the grandparents it's a beautiful thing because you learned so much so you went to chilean to live with their grandmother and grandmother okay nice nice nice nice i was just talking about that yesterday and i was talking to somebody how much memories i have on my grandfather was such a genius you know even though our academic academics as far as you know because the academics develop everything else and as far as principles you know so even when you you know you discover you know your talent you know how to go about using it how to you know manage it from those little things of how as timing you know that's how you teach it out this morning you have to get up early before school and tie out the goat and you know i said might even bring it in so everything is a base of a retirement so when a promoter said to be on time at the club by such time a long time practicing things that come naturally because from our youth yeah leave it yeah you know even when it got grown on a planet no sir you know what i'm looking at the sky i know so it's time for go on as i mentioned so don't think that they're not talking with the universe how many siblings um four four you know four and others with my father my father everybody's still alive oh yeah no my oldest brother passed away oh i'm sorry you know mommy and daddy still her own uh my father passed my mother's still alive oh what's she doing um yeah she's she's doing all right she's going to hurt me all right i'm grateful i'm grateful that she's still alive yeah well it's a blessing you know it's a blessing schooling though where did they attend school well i started off in primary school in that place called stewarton okay okay so before you okay okay you're about three before you go um yeah and from there you know we migrated to new york you know about what 10 11 11 11 11. so you never actually match it into high school i was here here so i entered junior high school in brooklyn yeah before reach brooklyn what was it like growing up from a financial perspective but then though we are in trilani right well mourinho i don't know much i mean i'm not gonna remember child i was a young child at that time but when i got to chilean i mean i was blessed with the life that i lived my grandparents because my grandfather was a butcher you know he butchers on friday and sunday and he was also working at the airport monday so he juggled too and he was a hustler yeah and he was a farmer at the same time so you know i can't say we had about you know it was good we had everything on the table yes and with the help of the parents being working hard overseas i was the only grandparent i was living that yeah in that house grandchild yeah that means we had my mother's sisters kids as well oh yeah yeah so big cities big yard settings you know a lot of grandkids so at that time you know they made sure everything was there for us to be comfortable you know so growing up you know learning how to america and to make our uh you want to play a marble and things that kids don't do now you know all the time outside ramping up yeah they grew it up they were getting yeah all the swim you know go learn off a swim on a tifa from school or sweet man yes as liquid in that era these other things so i mean it was a beautiful so at eight eleven yes sir yeah your your parents took your toe to your mother too new york okay and you started school there started school what was that like you were making a transition from the jamaican classroom to the american classroom it was really really rough enough yeah yeah the first time i went there because i even went there the day i went and i never forget 27 of december and that's christmas that bro the 27th of december right in the christmas time right after christmas yeah so would you migrate i mean the place the time of winter was really winter brick city that's what i call it a real brick city all the time so imagine you come out of the airport you'll find a committee you come from chilean heat and as everybody be caught cause i'm greeted out of the kids the place is well called so i just tell my mother i said well i'm ready to go back to my grandmother yeah i never wanted to live there i was like depressed for a while because you take some money out of some ways a rural era and when you read somewhere it's nothing but tall buildings same thing about the dark devil [Laughter] i said yes i don't know i don't need to get what yeah the dogs in canada right people on us that i feel like next winter yeah i think it's going to be a shock the cold i don't know if they're made up for that it was a shock in terms of climate climate wise climate wise culture wise because you know you're in you're in you know if anyone can tell that there's nowhere else i don't think in the world that has so much different variety as as of cultures as a mecca especially brooklyn itself you'll find everyone for another ethnic growth from any other country in the world there's somebody in that in that borough so no but then i was in brooklyn brooklyn um so you know i came up and i played scholar a lot of people talk about the 90s so that's where lata caribbean jamaicans especially live in that area we feel we are more connected you know so we lived there but going to school my mother never wanted me to go to certain schools where i left at jamaicans or so she sent me another school but it was a hell because the young kingdom no which is black americans which is it's weird but no say your own people won't accept you so easily because of your accent as well at a time so they would you know look at me and say well then go back on the banana and a bow tie yeah yeah yeah oh and black yeah yeah yeah just like a boy yeah because you know we didn't pee like say you no no i realized at the time i realized you're actually coming to take what's theirs you know here because you know anywhere jamaican car you know we are very progressive people you know and um so it was a shock going into this high school going to this junior high school and every day a fight and because you know you'll see an accent right so you know americans start different from black jamaicans so it was it was it was only like four of us in the school that were from jamaica which was my brother and and two others so it's like we go to hell yeah man sometimes i'm breaking a lack of teeth to sneak has your mother come up at school every other week be a complaint and i'm gonna tell her until you realize you have a fight back still yeah so how did you do though academically yeah you're coming from a different way of learning right and you're not actually in jamaica you see teachers that look like yourself and the system is set in america where even in the black neighborhoods they're mostly white teachers no i mean that's how it is yeah but that does that exactly so now you're actually learning things that they're teaching you things that that it's not really even important to you as well really they're teaching you their thing you're learning about george washington and you know the only black person you really learn about is really like martin luther you're not they're not going to teach you about marcus or malcolm you're perspective of who these black people are they'll teach about one person you know yeah schooling was challenging especially in the initial stages but then you figure it out and figure it out and started doing better you realize you know i realize you know i mean i have to steer you know this is where i want to be this is this is where you are this is a new start to life yeah but then you start meeting friends you know you know start meeting friends and getting to learn the place you know getting used to the whole surrounding where you live you know guys on your street that you live become your friends you know so even when when the snow time come i remember one of the first one i can't remember my friend had a dark car bruno i remember one time you know we had a big snowstorm and i remember i'm coming to bring car and car not that awesome never really know my friend named bill and ty on the dog pony sled in the dark side driving on the road from the snow and that is there and you empty the phones yes i get he's a 12 you know 12 yeah by 12. my aunt lived down since my youngest art live in the basement and she i used to love go down to go to the basement where she lives because she were more the roots as a person yeah she was more connected to the music and she loved dennis brown so she always played dennis brown music and i kept going on this hearing his vocals hearing his voice i'm like yo that money i want to be like this person yeah i want to see like that it's wrong so i actually started off mimicking dennis brown and then it was their first the first disciples yes yes and that's why i decided i want to be a singer but not knowing that it was a part of me that it was in me because my father was a singer but he never just he never had the opportunity like i got to become a singer you know it was a natural thing right so you realize that 12 that you know yeah i have a look of desire for that certainly be abroad was an early influence yes how did that know develop and mature into you deciding along the road that and i stopped because naturally now i said more and started a group on something yeah at 12 12 months [Music] something because i've never really i've never done voice training in our not like that no kind of give me a practice everything that i do and everything that you hear from me is just a natural thing vibration yes i've never done anything like say let me try to my you know like some people got their voice straight i've never done that like that so that's how i know that i was born to do this yeah yeah and and i knew and i stuck to it because i didn't stuck to it because once you once you find what you really want in life and upon early settings you know it makes it easier for yourself okay along the journey is you know once because it music you know i think it takes a while to get not everybody get up on it's happen right so along the way you know start knowing people and developing your talent and getting better yes you know getting connections so that's what happened so the desire was there now how did you start to realize that to make it become you know a reality yeah i just so no my aunt has friends that have sound systems because she went to a school called tilland high school right she went to high school with bonnie rocks i like people online bunny rocks went to high school in in brooklyn oh yeah bonnie rocks went to a school called tilden high school it's a high school that has a lot of jamaicans in there and a lot of producers that you know know actually grew up in brooklyn yeah so that's when all these guys in high school started sound systems and island thing that so you had sounds like you don't beat other people you know themselves someone that did about 30 [Music] you know what she's known one of the big supervisors in new york at a big hospital yeah that's nice you know yeah yeah and next thing i know i start gonna dance my mother's a nurse who works at night that's who's that nurse just like my social woman anytime yes i'm you guys just caught so you're taking on the road take her on the road yeah i'm barry i'm buried them you know yeah yeah just start tickling the road and from there you know you'll start getting it all sound system vibes now it's that big the microphone sometimes i get sometimes i get it you know but that's what developed our talents people like me shaggy red fox they were roughing your crew of hoe to actually perform live on stage that's a sound system yeah and that's what i think that's what lacks a lot of these artists now because they're not actually taking steps to get to where they are you know everyone yeah you never get the chance for me yes practice skills yeah yeah so now you were in the dancehall space you know what renault and then everything and get up you get the mic when did the studio part that they think started to come in play-doh you know at the same time now the same person by the name of bart he had a studio so my aunt told him that you know i think i think my name if you have talent you know so can you can you um try with him same stuff karen was too there almost every night we started going to a studio in long island a man by the name of philip smart he passed away recently you know he won this was under the original producers that that gave a lot of artists in new york the gold even the sting international yeah sting international and then all those big producers that produce shaggy album on it that's where everybody went there and unlearned yeah yeah the witty that you see one witty with uptown mondays that's where we used to take us and record us because a lot of people don't even witty had a label called music master so you produce people like shelly thunder sometime a month you get cool our elements big sounds owned by whitney we did this [Laughter] so you were in the studio meddling aboard you remember the first time you actually going on a boat record yeah remember because one of the first songs that it was caribbean of love are you ready for the time of your life it's time to stand up and fight stand up stand up every woman every man join the caravan of love all right i've heard that song before but i never say you will do that over because that's probably yeah that's that's right yeah that's the cover did a cover so you know that's the eisley brothers the brothers yeah yeah so that was your first official recorder you know we had your first record excited we actually i mean at the time as vinyl you know emails are sometimes you don't even know how good the song does and and that's why you know it's better you know where people say it's bad but it's good also we know you can't keep track of seals and stuff like that then be a stream a produce i can't tell you similarly sell 200 copies and himself two dollars two thousand copies so a lot of artists that's why even a lot of artists who travel the world and when they've got certain person saying you know what you have some recorder and then i never then come across and i'm a producer in a big wire girl you never tell me you're telling me to say totally just stop at brooklyn yeah i'm a guy you're in the community where you had um a man called by the name of gil bailey gil billy was the first pioneer who started it i mean i remember one time you stopped away till you only played for one for half an hour and everybody who in jamaicans would wear it up you played on tuesday you'll and that was like mid 90s no early 90s it is so the song was caravanaflov right yeah yeah so that was the first song song that really and some people when you actually see a vinyl of yourself that's being distributed you know it gives you a push a push to do more recording and more record and motivation so you can actually do this thing you know because when i produce canopy and say you know we you know we say monica remembers our produce i was spending time and that time was more expensive to record because it was real to real right to the time so a month to take him chance i'm recording that means that there's something going on in your career you know with yourself yes as a talent so that was that's um what came next you know in the early journey another early journey you know come straight up to le getting out you know was go to i remember sanka you know [Laughter] i mean that's the first thing to really let me know say you can make a money the first money i ever got was traveling to bermuda after they ran something called you've got to know when to hold him know when to fall down kenny rogers you're the type of mother i missed i'm like a ransom cowboy you know before you develop writing skills yeah every single song eddie monika you know bharaja gave me that from all 60 you know yeah easy you need a mr easy just like that i'm saying do you sing that's the way you carry yourself going this name affiliate and from there stick a stick yeah yeah yeah yeah because i've i've actually faced challenges in the last couple of years with with people trying to tell me i can't use a name okay because i'm some big billion dollar companies and they end up so one thing i like with the american system and the uk system fears fear so no matter how much money you have in your camera court you're going to lose because it did back to show that i'm the original mr easy so these people have all kind of names on their name easy so when they saw the name them start calling me and like we don't want camera m camera accord and say i can't use a name and they're a billion dollar company when i'm coming in an idea i can't prove unsure the track record of where we're coming from that you're a two thousand company you know something i said we up nearly two thousand you get me so that was resolved yeah because my name is on records and they see that i have a song in a movie an island type of thing that's what i say and these movies are before you you came about i just said that i asked something which movie that um under the sunset ts branson with um yeah yeah and they're stealing the diamond the bahamas driving me crazy and um um bashment time come brush man get some sign up with me i'm frisco the movie belly and i'm billy yeah wanna play and land in jamaica ah you know something i want some movies these other good things we need a good music to get you know opportunities can come at any time 34 years later even when you're not here because of the types that the songs that you have actually left it's a performance statement yeah there's the things at that point i don't good music yeah run some combo i don't know yeah you go burmese yeah after run some coboy what you know i started um recording more um a car and more but then um a friend of mine who live across the street from me you know growing up together he set them one day that time why you don't go to the airport or sing big apollo theater [Laughter] the people because remember the sun man our brother run up on a broom until the people know about the apollo apollo is uh um is apollo how would you describe the apollo it's a show like star search what's the name of the show all these talent shows and the voice america this is one of those yeah like the american idol but this is the first outlet and one of the biggest is history we are this is the opportunity only opportunity that black people really had oh at the time at that time the jackson fives everybody came up to apollo to the apollo theater so once you get to the apollo tst is still in cancer whatever yeah yeah so when most most of the artists them a lot of artists left apart and got major record deals you know everyone you can think about the the marvin gears all these people and you know it's it's been around since the in the 60s uh you know it's a old building where you go to 125th street on harlem it's this big it's a landmark you know if you can't find anywhere not let me want to just tell somebody just tell me you want to get to the airport theater bigger part okay see your name and take care of your polar bear no because if you go in the airport and get booed you know i like that you go back home it's a problem there's a problem when you go to the apollo you know so you tell me that you know if you don't do it someone is gonna hurt gonna force you so yeah i think you have the talent to go and do it you know so when i enter the apollo no um when you when you go to try out you'll see 300 more people i try out somebody tell my brother and said may someone i play piano sing like bird i don't wanna listen no but i can't go people are singing no the reason why you can't do it is because you can win you have a chance because apollo is not about how good you can sing it's about the difference you're going to come with a difference so you might have everyone who are saying like you have a lot of art to go and see i want to sing a song like party label you know but how far can it go when you have a party label yes so when i went there i sound like myself yeah i sounded like myself you know and because i was doing reggae the first regular i just go dancing and um hold on you were the first artist to go to there to sing to compete then already at the time um probably about um 22 twenty-two mm-hmm one set in this one yeah twenty-two yeah twenty-two so um at the time i was working in hospital my mother is a nurse so she got a hospital because i always took jobs where i know that i can um flexible because i put music first but same time you have to have an income so i was driving taxis i was i was a taxi driver and an exterminator at the same time australian australians so i remember the friday before even you know i remember friday the apollo comes on on saturday and i went on the friday me working in a hospital by the monday i went back to work i had to quit because the whole hospital started rolling me down cause i'm sitting upon it's easy yeah so my mother say okay i work here don't worry go you know because everybody's like seeing the dip on the tv sat there and they get me so you went yeah i went there and i kept going but before you get to even the television you have to win so i yeah winning and kept winning i win like they have tap dawg short of different things in the apollo so when you see people on the tv that don't mean to them just go there and win there right you have to work there we have to get to that position see i mean the tv show i made it to the tv show and from the event i did a tv show i remember um mike tyson a big daddy key and i was backstage and i took a big daddy key and i wanted to see me sing which big daddy kane was one of the top rappers at the time who's on the level of jay-z who jay-z started to actually write for him as well back in mbs you know yeah yeah so you know i asked him i said listen i'd love for you to listen to me and it was taking a long time to put me on stage and he waited at my mike tyson waited and when i performed he liked the performance so he took he took my number and for like about six months he never called me and one day my mother said somebody big daddy and carly ho [Laughter] anyway you know massage that's a big daddy that just had the number one song party label in the country and um you actually call them you know and say oh you want me to come at the studio which is a cm studio where tupac got [Music] the grit tupac sakura gotcha so you know i mean at the time you just i'm sitting my boy and tell me mom i've seen there was a song with me and his brother you know yes little daddy she and then you know you gave me the hook brother brother help each other that's the name of it that's the name that's the hook i was singing on the record and um i remember they took me down to student a and introduced me to murakiri and yeah merceria just got the first record hit and so you know your head will leave easy right i don't think you're going to meet the people yeah son so was that jai i'm gonna do this song and to be honest he even paid me and that's when i hear people tell i'm not this man is one of the best person you can ever meet because him being on that level giving me an opportunity he never hit me and he gave me a check so even these things don't even make me know even more said leo i can't survive i will survive but i think if it is you know continuing just being just going up but even after i mean me doing the apollo i don't know how people got my number but you have record companies start calling me so they want me to come and lead sing for groups and yeah atlantic records and atlantic yeah like different different you know calling your phone and but you have to make the right decision you know yes so you know there's a man that i named my friend percy sutton who owns he's one of the tuskegee airmen who owns double bls yeah and he owns the apollo theater the brother of one apollo you know and yeah you know um the family that owns the apollo yeah it was a certain family you know they also own a rare station called bls bls i remember like after i won the apollo night when i when i did their one i kept winning their father the overall thing yeah yeah i was just when i was going further than this moving up the ladder and okay i remember the first interview they gave me we were sent me to do an interview at bls without a man by the name of gary bird um and these are things that are just i'm like you know you're on the right path because i mean you're meeting i remember walking i see as i came up the elevator i saw kid and play and martin lawrence at the time because you know couldn't play put my allowance on you know and i was and it was making fun of my i'm like but at the time you know no more alarms gotta say but these are the people that you are they just came on the interview like myself and i was going in so these are people that you're just just running into yes yeah so i did that interview and from there no a sudden one of the nephews called me and said well i didn't want to have a meeting with me they want me to do some demos and stuff like that and after i did the demos they started sending to different record companies and we were trying to decide if we wanted got a more toner atlantic which you are the option yeah because you know because i reckon new york record company is working one tips to somebody like you everybody start jump right and we want him we want it we want it because you know the talent is different because the way i sing actually my style singing break it down it's like listen drive me crazy right it's it's it's a mixture of melodies but you can understand what i'm saying you know something i say so they realize you know that you the william style and him someone can actually go places go places you know okay actually go places so if i'm doing i mean we decided that quest records quests right now queen situations yeah quest records had an album out called secret garden and they had a they had they had the movie track soundtrack the boys in the hood so you know we figured like this is the good labor to go with so that's how we signed with quest we signed the quincy jones labor um yeah i mean i'm telling people one of the one of the first thing i remember the first time i was i spoke to quincy jones on the phone when i got introduced to him on the phone because they took me up to the office in um on sixth avenue that's where they had the warner brothers in the warner brothers building and i went in there and he called me and said he said hey what's going on dog brother i said i mean because of my complexity and everything you know and you know you won't come on the team and you want this and that and so we decided you know we're gonna go with quest but what's that what was that like for your door it was a it was a um it was it was like it's like you know it's unbelievable enough for no one say you're actually talking to one of the most prolific persons that ever been in the music business who have actually produced chaka khan and the michaels remember he did the album trailer right and bad them two two michael jackson two biggest albums the tevin campbell had just signed to the leo bland you know these people you know the interviewer bringing me back to glen rix with some people they'll do the thing i do the thing you know so you get you know when you talk to these people i realize you know it's a different level for them the business right because they're used to the the whole year or the jamaica the vast vice party five and press it upon us put it out i don't know what the producer go out without not like that but with these companies you have your contracts and you get your publishing so the business side of the business will start to you yeah so that's why even though when people ask me if i'm publishing i mean i've always been signed up so i don't have to i've been saying where i bought it i've inside the publishing company from that from that time really so that's why that's something that they don't do business with you unless that's taken care of because one thing with our company they don't want to be sold [Music] they want to make sure before you start dealing with them recording you know you sign up with a certain publishing company and you and them have a recording contract as well right but the only thing with them at that time they never knew that when they signed a reggae artist you have to keep recording fortifies and put out right because when i like the americans i think so one album come on exactly seriously you still have to keep you keep yourself warm and keep yes and they never did that so at the same time now the people that was running quests because quest is a wester a west uh west coast company right so that's even worse they're not like from new york but i understand the culture of dance already and the caribbean people said live in the whole new york bronx queens so once you go it doesn't matter who you are from or if you're american you know that culture in california i'll modify that mexicans and that's the cultures that live on that side of the world so they don't know not what our thing what then pick it up and they want to try with it right so they would not really um change their way of doing business to accommodate how we do our business probably kind of worry about that so that's what happened because even at that time that's when um shaggy and fox and was doing songs like um um when they were doing those songs and like with sting and and and philip smart and all those you know paws off you know there was a and i had to just call because i'm on a contract you know what i said yeah so at the same time it's good and bad doing at the same time the rocket companies was actually learning about dancehall at that time they never really know but them know this music is getting hot right and doing that so they want a piece you know so i actually put out the album i put out one album with one of it um call me mr easy mr easy yes yes oh well did that though um well i mean they recouped and they met about them yeah so the idea they recouped and that's how i could have got released from a labor because when a record company will get recoup you know am i watering them try to hold them yeah and album people you can still go there you know you can go online and still the album is there forever tell my name again and they still sell like even the seated and you buy the cds them you have to buy alejandra de la fete yeah yeah that's what i'm selling now when i'm selling these cassettes on the ceiling it's easy i go hard no i mean they're still making it yes i tell them you know those catalogs yeah so after the first album the contract was i started doing the second album and they asked me if i wanted to be released from the library and still yes because i they recruit by their money and i decided i want to go back i want to go back to to the original way of how i do of how i do my music because you know it's not fun being controlled right it's not fun and a lot of artists even prince remember when prince changed his name to the symbol i mean i remember still yeah he changed it because he couldn't get to do what he wanted to do oh so he changed me from prince and put out the album with just a symbol you understand so for sure you say it doesn't matter or richer person is like prince and still want reflexes you can just do creative creative freedom so you left quests i left quest and then out you know when you leave a label and i was like what you gonna do next but it so happened that the good thing i went on at one time df kelly had we got a deal though so they have had the first models crew right it was terra fabulous that is cruel i love culture david produced on my album with with uh warner brothers yeah yeah the second one the second one oh second one right so i'm you know i made him some money so you sent me on tour with um donovan still never had a traveling visa at the time to work so they needed somebody to perform songs with that is true oh [Music] no yeah you know so from there i must say yeah all right cool i'm going to tour them calm me and thank me and everything which was a nice experience because i was the first time here but you know we do one show tonight one tomorrow you know i said settings rotating feels good i said wha i saw everyone run hotel to the to the show to the show the next tone and next city this is exciting exciting you know what i said yes so which year that did you because you actually came back to jamaica 1996 and 1996. so this was doing like the 95 904 run yes the early models run yeah one so from you after we did that run i was at the um steered shore uh isla it was a statue where they had um it was called randall's island big kia put animals i'm not sure and i remember i see aman sam and somebody introduced me to bear salman and he said why your body now yeah we need to come back embarrassing everybody are bad yeah so embarrass convinced me for comical germany okay you know so when i came to jamaica i wasn't really out i didn't wasn't recording but d.f kelly where you were armani yeah i came recording for armani house sell blocks off because i was actually recording at cell block forbes yes silver castillo is my friend as well yeah because um i'm a marcellus tour down butcher yeah together right so when i came you know yogi was actually taking him out nephew neville's taking my vocals very sent me down to jamaica to start recording i tell him come on because he was on tour um you know so when i started recording it's almond house it was with his nephew who was taking the vocals and then then him forward and then we start the journey you know start doing mostly you know there's mostly one job one job you know but we first tell them we're there so which was the first thing i did at harmony hospital mr selector it's my first time asking won't you please play my number i know you don't plan your program but could you do this for me i like the massive in the house is rocking but my baby still ain't dancing play me a vibe spun a robot double rhythm so i can pull her to me and rocket gently tell the leak till she feel the warmth of my arms sound like a bear's back though mr selection it's a selector yeah [Music] that harmony and and cell block um was it you know difficult for you to really and truly kind and get some traction out on the streets seeing that you never really developed aircraft forty years yeah and some people probably still never really even know i mean even a lot of people look at me i saved me as a foreigner you know no me i'm being honest you know it's just chilled up all them look at his life yes but in the reality i say jamaican is just a jamaican i am a jamaican i was born in jamaica you know so it was challenging earlier challenging early out but you say talent and good talent no no no no you always stand out you know i mean a lot of people see me coming record i was like don't know and like must want nothing like i think i'm spirit but man i think nobody's if you do the hard work i'm putting in the work and be at the right place at the right time it will work you know yes so i went down a link up with dave and when i when i link up with these it was not easy because dave is a person he might test a loyalty so i was actually [Laughter] [Laughter] right so the best thing to do is put me with sham and then your voice and then so it just will it would just jump right quicker plus a rhythm great it's really nice right now you're still in gyro come out yeah man start up jay right boss tour right this god bless joy right because at the time when jayara came out my father happened to pass away and i'd use joyride and and and lay my father to rest yeah you know i mean that's how good i used to travel and do just a hook alone by myself without chum first first show me it was in the bahamas and when i went to the bahamas and i did the show you know bahamas up is made up of different islands right and i went there to do one show and then one of them said no man you know i left did i promote her over the next island called me i went for john powell like a jet with me on the pirate we need to complete it near the pilot by yourself and then you know at the time good thing number of youtube because you remember those we have some basketball suits we have the button side yes [Laughter] yes you know the basketball [Laughter] right that song was it written by df kelly or yeah yeah kelly so i'm just saying strange things are happening [Laughter] yes as we said earlier gyroid is one of the the biggest rudimentary contemporary dancer and that was where you got the intro to the master to the masters the blessing brother because anywhere gone right now even last night we've got supporting new kids in a brook valley and for sure you're all their songs that stand the test of time that was 1996 and when we draw it last night please get up so for sure yeah classic classic if you do some songs or you know so live on and you will always get shows because of these songs you know so that's why we do music but we make sure to say about longevity career we don't want to know someone last a month or two one within a year nobody wants to see you again and i just want that jail right and it dead yeah and and that's why even they've had a problem with us even voicing with other people sometimes when i say well then you know i'm gonna send them put you up saying goodbye someone i'm dropping about donaire so so anything you have to video i gotta do something for next produce and make sure it appears are better you know custom kiana bringing up on our next person bringing it on yeah that makes sense yeah that's the way i'm you know and that's why i even think that you didn't see baby actually recorded for a lot of producers because a lot of producers to be honest with you is not really on the level of df kelly is that true yeah gave me some some great songs yeah yeah i'm on 20k to give him some great songs even though sometimes revise the twenty of never know [Laughter] go back to twitter sometimes you want me to drive me crazy i'm never gonna buy it i'm on my df20 i'm learning to jump but when when i did driving crazy yes i just it's just a timing see like you have to get right to the gate welcome to the idiot and tony kelly and racer from sashi [Laughter] we drive off after them left i'm at the right coming here i'm forgetting and things like this you don't forget them at the right and go up my lines right i mean i'm going to my care left go down my lines road i mean i think but should i go should i not should i go i'm gonna send me a go up there now i'm gonna go for the let me go for 20. twenty recorded me like we did the background vocals alone that's how i know the song was crazy because we took i went into the booth to work hard and i came out only twice i went in i won't forget i went in five o'clock the evening just to do background i'll evoke as i hear on it i did it myself so i went in there five o'clock and i came up two times out of the studio and we finished at one o'clock and within that time i only came out twice and i was so awkward from 5 00 p.m till 1 00 in the morning 21 a.m that's our totally work anymore some things are checked when something got being oh yeah you can tell with naughty [Laughter] an inaudible right so that's more work it's not known this this easy quick one two no and we took all that time just to do the background vocals i mean i said you say go and come back another day under the lead i won't give you one month here come on come on so from five to one i just background walkers then it's our next day next month next month so you can't do i might do the vocab background pick someone fix [Laughter] i will come back and we actually sat in the store and write the song together because i mean both of us was going through things if you listen because it was it was it was real a real thing real thing [Laughter] around the world i mean even though like even yesterday i got booked for california because you know the place is kind of open up right so i got booked for california i got booked for binghamton so no people long to see people perform now so i know she's naturally it's so people people craving and that is the best time because the summer is coming in now so it's mostly outdoor so people can do these outdoor shows you know so now you're going to see a lot of so even as artists now we realize now what we have when we never have it the other day we realized listen don't take this in your faith for granted no man this is a beautiful thing because after i came back from africa i've not performed since that time when i came back in in january till no you know no performance it is deadly and [Music] because from one because when it happened you know when until i know that i was and i was like oh general what are going on because yes i think both you know what up here bills and but then this online clash thing just jump up you know for what i eat yeah just jump up and then they might i'm gonna say they might they might want them the money what's it right now come on says stimulus [Music] really love the dub and it's it's bigger now than before right because we have sounds in israel and alberta you find the sounds everywhere something called you tan yes you know and i have them laptop so it's much easier for him to quicker on first one become faster you'll get more you find till the dub team get bigger around the world we may admit all right even before that so mr easy has been able to you know ride all the way even we could still we spoke just know about the conceptualization of driving me crazy yeah but i am assuming that after funnyman there were other songs between phony man because do we have to do it tonight we'll let you know that you don't need a million you don't need a million songs because sometimes i want something easy out there and say yo me or something with it and there's something i just want you know yeah because after that now we come with that song [Music] people say yeah yo big things are gone you had to say the rhythm come out in a rare case same come with this the rhythm carrera radium comrade yeah and [Music] because even come back again even though they're still doing dublin with ray-ray right now so you'd really know you know you're sure no it becomes longer performance right which is good so a promoter can book you know because you know have you can't stand buying your own you know because usually sometimes i forgot which um go with frisco but no we can't actually get you all together so you did you did bushmen girl before it before oh no so i used to go to the frisco there no because more time when the book frisco de mars put me with [Music] me apart at the frisco pocket sir when frisco i'll go take easy with frisco you know i win some i gotta take you to the champ so you have two sons can do before the show start out even three they can't make up your money sangha or whatever yeah right or something yeah so you do the one something no you do a new song in between they come with third song so you do a good 20 minutes you know remind the people of my audena them i won them to them no more than you these words that i'm using they have actually taught me how to use about the dialects yeah like the pathway yeah you've been overseas so long so i had to learn about how to the slangs culture yeah they had to learn come back and re-culture myself you know because you're so used to singing so yeah i read culture so from strange things right yes let me catch it yeah so after all what was the next somewhere so then we come on the show time show what time yeah next big bad reading no i'm on that they're really not the biggest no i'm saying that let me tell you something the top five biggest dance already putting on it yeah guys when you go to the dubsta the selector go tell her yeah everyone got the bar i don't know brother yeah so i feel like i got [Music] and every artist run the show time because i don't know what it is you know what some of my songs like you said the show time someone won't sit on the brockhouse properly right now then catch [Laughter] short time no that tune it us a tuna let's take it to another level again yeah again rain again man miata stopped school my mama was a very kid and my daddy was gone i got my first two when i was 13 i'm here on the place warm then i got older and found myself a wife struggling daily to have a better life but then i'm riding for a fall with my back against the wall i'll when my angry mr last time tall but anytime you hear me picnic them bother me i tell them gunshots start raining again i don't wanna be a memory but i see no real solution why am i telling that you're not classy even right now we're at the shows you know yeah you start the acapella and the players just a monster that's when the reading goes and dropped the people about jumper that's equipped you wrote it there yeah however they love me right that's what interviews you know interview i think none of us still say if they have antonina all right i don't feel good never feel good to watch but that's what that's what i'm talking about even though once did you deny everything while going around them and everything everybody's on the same topics one topic one topic because those songs are crossover songs right those songs you don't realize when you go i promise you i i perform in a lot of like spanish communities a lot of spanish communities where you go into ashore like you go up in a boston area when you're going out in places not but you'll see nothing but dominicans and they are they know these songs words for words and that's what this complaint i'm saying now right now the songs ain't is staying in a one circle now staying in one big community one big caribbean community okay everyone want interested i wonder what would it be like no with these songs without social media good question the production no without social media what would happen yes the thing is that the thing changed but some changes kind of you know but it is what it is it is what it is you have to rain again again i remember we did a christmas rhythm um um we did uh we did the was it was it bug come after bug yeah yeah yeah it's me i'm being a man yeah yeah yeah this song man she their first black man first transacting crazy money and cars fools want to see me go behind bars they want to see me yeah [Music] so when you're eating at df kelly and tony kelly circle you know yes trust me and um then as i said more time even awesome my god we gotta buy some twenty right twenty people have more radio songs i'm worried about someone they have things it's people love it because it's almost to the street you know what i'm saying it's more realistic people can relate to they have argument then but and tony knows is it part of you to know never more try to split the justices everything good but everything everything yeah it was tony bring dave another ride right so right you know yeah because when it was before before and and i met them from before and i know them from where they were actually engineers from max priests yes but max priest had close to the album the big album dear antonio was engineer on the road you know yeah so the song would yeah what what the song the name again it is i'm fully sung name yeah haters i think that song is on his many moons of moses yes a song on that album too that went number one in the bahamas where i just did the hook i'm the smoothest operator got this laughing lock baby is that guaranteed powered yeah some little boy dissed me the other day and swear to them get away whatever we see them are they astray spray mama began to open praise said the number with no gunplay [Music] four clients four clearances you remember that i [Music] that's the rhythm to me that bust one in my terrain yes because i remember stone off usually get the rhythm number player and this this year with us decide say we're going to give 20. i think tony was in america and sprocket called him and said with him come he must come check with and in coming when i remember that cmd went empowered and i'm going to study and sample bro tony mataran so well for what i want to play that over the beach the people who are running it's like the world please busy live again yeah so why not come to me you know from that time that's my friend nobody smiles with me yeah what about my big children he's not one of the big man a decision what kind of thing not oh [Laughter] i watch everything i say you know that's a problem and that's how fully loaded the bus goes so that dmx and what's here during the movie barely so so much things happening this big rhythm come out and they play it for like almost an hour because they had the cobra the player the mr easy the wii and one the the frisco you can't play one song one time pull up pull up everything i pull up because it's really just just have this i have the sound and everything so now every song i've got player when i agree there's really a man as much as show time there's a more bigger rhythm you're right you said it the right way broke old is already where it's mad i'm so easy you're an ali big redemption man yeah man all right yes seasons seasons yeah the manor right seasons another place big obscurity british you know that scary yeah that's good never dirty that's why why i'm still here yeah because we have a catalog to perform well mr easy despite that man you know you know music i would get marijuana to eat sang when people talk about bigger artists than name come up it's a easy yeah yeah and they come back here the same thing we're talking about as being a person where who's from brooklyn you know right i think you're probably never pushing off a push of fear so yeah and you know probably not easy that we are so i had to be in the city to be sharing yeah because i i do have a family i know something i say you know and and that's one thing my family always taking care of you know i say so at the same time i was always back on foot and couldn't get the the feelings yeah come on but we give thanks for being those big rhythms because um surely right now if it wasn't for these rhythms that we're talking about yeah yeah because we would you having a name you always have a chance to come back because your name is out there yes and the sound my name know yeah so producers will come and say easy more advice or something because i'm still current you know you know yes yeah we have songs oh no i always be dear and yeah i'm telling you i'm doing a video this week we spoke about the creation of that song but we're not gonna actually sing a song drive me crazy yeah [Music] she's got the touch i love so much but now i'm disappointed like they turned to darkness under her spell she had me crush i sworn i was anointed got caught in the madness she had me fooled for a while with her sexual emotions like taking candy from a child stuck on a love potion i can't believe the change he's made like wolf and she clothed she drive me crazy on and on cause she's having my baby on and on she drive me crazy on and on and i thought she was a lady on and on just blowing up my page 11 minutes every hour oh yeah ain't nothing sweet about this europe i try the wrong flavor so never trust a pretty smile cause looks are deceiving sexy what model profile some pretty girls are misleading lesson learned don't judge notebook by looking at the car [Laughter] yeah so it's like this sunglasses continues and it's just because that's why even i tell people other than him i see eric downstairm artists go to some countries yes like some argentine and brazil but that's what a white period of time these songs get to places that that rage plays before you're a long time yeah and it's still going they're still spreading like when i went to um south africa last year i remember this kid 2019 december mm-hmm in terms of him come from in the sudan sudan yeah no you come from in the um congo congo um and he said yo we listen to the song of the congo we listen to the song in the congo every day yeah i said john you never know which music i've ever reached and then i've actually got and and when i did brock out and remember i went from brocco to to drive me crazy so it was totally two different night and day right hardcore there was a girl at dave kelly's office called yoland and she's the one that pushed me what's the direct stopping eyes people you see the real team never getting visas yeah so you need that even you have kids now when i hear that song it's like a brand new song and i'm love it you know i'm talking about five year old with my mother's favorite son you know i mean my mother is not doing too well right now right you know she has a touch of dementia okay and i go to her and sing that song i can't see oh that me son you know what i said yeah yeah so that one song makes you connect with me gift yeah and when i knew that when i when i realized how you can get to different levels with different songs i remember one time the pentagon hired me pentagon pentagon hired me to sing in an island called okinawa okay now that's i mean it's it's the biggest air force base off of japan of japan right so the isle is a it's a light attraction it's a beast called kadena yes kadena beast air force base and i was hired to go and sing for the for the for the support and then i was like you really i am it was a song i went and sung for the marines and i went and sang for the air force i spent one more week one more week performing on three different basis so it was it was a real accomplishment and i said you can do a song that can take you to to this level and drive foreign crazy i have my creations because when i did and it broke out you know when i was in this well murder telling people yes when i did buy out you know dave kelly had a secretary her name is yolanda and bigger up because she pushed me to do the video she said do the video for this song it's gonna it's gonna change your life and when i was doing the video you had people who knew the song called murder was passing and hearing me do the biot song doing the video i was like are you that song that full full song yeah i mean i said channel what may i do but when i realized i said no now watch what they might say because when i did the song it was a whole different thing a whole different thing it just changed my life i could where life got much better for me yes you know it's a very it's a big accomplishment for me pick up tony kelly on that you know that right that's one of his biggest rhythms buy out someone's hits came off a biotin yeah and people yeah they sang and said the essence because even last time i've been seeing it running new kids get to realize matter who that song offends no one all young christian it doesn't matter who the rhythm alone is so unique you know the way the sound already from here yes and being a man actually did it over with that with a spanish artist yeah he did cruise right yeah big of course and it feels good when someone is is touching your problem i have to come to you and will you them can't do it because i own a ship you know certain percentage that ownership if you can't sign off on it them can they're not with it another big song another catalog take for yourself whoa splurt you see that song there them they had me in england go to the schools and show you them sir when you see violence tickle yourself yes yes i don't have my campaign a song like a talk to you someone say yo because it might sound a way but it's a positive sound it's a positive sound you're gonna really listen inside take what you said come on take yourself you know and um it's a true story again big obscurity when scary science is [Laughter] rhythm again um left side and escort right and i remember they had another rhythm that i i recorded in that rhythm to come out you know but that's when both of them split and that's when anger management come out and you're not assuming because the differences are whatever and they had such a they would have been mystery they had a good chemistry sure it's hard to see them actually part because of misunderstanding or whatever yeah you know trust me brother there was another big takeaway take away yourself something on the street for some vegas all that sort of i mean well it's not like i'm vegas it's not good um many of you guys haven't spoken in a while still now what's that defined that's a since take myself and that was about two thousand and four or five yeah two thousand five it's a long time a long time sixteen years yeah mount vegas are taxing sometimes yeah i mean you are vegas for the reason i mean i mean the last conversation my vegas really ever had was about i mean when i hear that he when he had that ticket for yourself so who before i set for yourself for me yeah because a true story and a skirt you can't tell it in store it's a true story uh is that you you said they're on them square to them right in the time mc and we sit on panakana with them and um i think it was a you know like my police said no problem all right an intensive police say you're not taking a cell phone the police are killing me i'm sleeping understand yeah yeah yeah in the so in seoul is here come on yo i think i'm tickled himself i saw the sun come out so when we hear somebody guys which man vehicle said all right me say mother son and trick with yourself and you may have taken yourself out there i bob learn everything i had to attack yourself and the last thing said to me was um whenever you say a bad mind i'm not the son i got a phone so you initiated the conversation easily is about it together i look into it i feel like i didn't mean to say that no but you know i mean it was cool oh sorry oh sorry i linked him up [Music] [Laughter] so mud [Laughter] a another big song with with frisco we made mention of it before bashment yeah um our bookshelf that yeah yeah it's in the movie belly so that was the one that was in many is no matter what they do they can't stop them or flow i surround my i mean my chrome job top yeah i'm on something boy sometime that was richard browning richard brody being street in the street so we were we were actually recording because dear van and [Music] yeah you know so i i think i recorded three songs for him you know i was on cause she is a freaky kind of lady dancer sweet nutella yes and i want people to know that not because you hear some songs didn't do well in jamaica don't necessarily mean yeah you have some markets where when you go to a space like guyana night and days at some of my half a dozen ina guyana night and day night and day every day the herbs of a bun same that was a tuna i did for for for richard brown as well and so certain songs would bring a certain place so don't watch me record that song don't read that say jump the song can travel and go somewhere else and do well for you yeah because i remember one time i went to zimbabwe for the first time i went with red rat and redwater had the biggest song in the country i remember where the sun got and i lived and that's [Music] now yeah man a couple of times not one i've never been to the congo no so yes south africa south africa zimbabwe yeah just just around themselves yeah but we have more places to go because the sun's if it was my pandemic and sudan and willie and certain different countries been calling us to come because of the word pandemic you know it does stop everything you know speaking about dubai and allen please damn place where your favorite place to profile um i think japan you know japan why yeah because japan the crow just japanese crowd you know it's like to see people don't really understand where you are they're not appreciated and even and it's the next thing i realized that artists aren't going to japan anymore um i don't see artists touring i don't know funny enough the tours are kind of hard i follow as many interviews that i've done the place i've come out most often as favorite place to perform on japan yeah man it's fun because you'll go japan and then you'll do one world tour you do have six shows japanese and working hard though [Applause] one day and said don't play it yeah perform for japanese you want you end up right back at the airport you're gonna get enjoyed come let's go let's go next city yeah i'm gonna be japanese then yeah yeah piccolo is there i mean more countries in africa because i love the continent when i go to the continent and talk to people different places you learn so much you know learn so much about yourself you know learn so much about you know who you are and things that you actually learn in the western world that that's been that's been taught to you that's not even true you get me murder drive me crazy i want him silent killer silent killer take for yourself bashment phony guy it's after it's after it's after of all the songs that you have recorded yeah with someone you will say is your biggest song jeremy crazy yeah my creativity you know me ever sang nowhere i don't know if you see the video with um tantra blacks on the video let me see the videos yeah the video almost three million views i mean i love it as we say in africa you people in peace no one right now when we say the shine yo brush man gala where we want no orcless gala we see dungeon at the yard galloway can watch silent killer bad man and treat you very nice i make you think everything's smooth and proper then give it the surprise silence right no it no make sense with them violence i couldn't bad my name fight against yao kill them with youngster intelligence just to them still be looking innocent them come with them batman argument now another life just went just too bad man attacked much like a mongrel walla them about ruff [Laughter] [Music] sometimes love stares you in the face once you're caught up you cannot see it at all whoa biggest time not gonna hesitate oh girl i'm gonna go and give it my all oh girl i try my best to hide it but i'm falling girl i try to stay away but love keeps calling let's put it out in the open confessions long overdue that's not good that'll be chewing mine no so i i wrote that song because i'm a doctor oh yeah yeah i'll always be there you can cry on my shoulders whenever you need a friend oh yeah you can count on me in your time of sorrow i'm there today tomorrow some different things so we mastered the two style levels yes yes and that's one other thing that always helped me and i think that it has a lot to do with my upbringing with the american you know growing up in america learning r b listen to danny atawi and listen and then come back home listen to him you know give me a better example [Music] that song actually is now picking up so much yes like you might get a video from that's never actually listen to this song before i listen to you know is that beautiful yeah yeah yeah you know very similar producer soon i'm about to do the video for that song no yeah so the good thing about one drop music one drop music like that yeah you never die never die over years it it just it gets bigger and bigger and that's what's happened to the song naturally i never did not with the song it's just a song to start playing yes because people already know the berries so when them start playing my song let them start playing the song with the bear sam and son so me and him did it on double last week you know in a combination yeah person in england i will be here for that right there is that no there is yeah and if you embarrass something at me so somebody just wanted two songs nobody has never done it so i'm saying we know that song they have a big so we want to do that song they will do embarrassing combination and nobody never caught it with it yet so members did a couple weeks a couple days ago you know of the beautiful interviews yeah telephone camera thank you very soon a lot of things i don't know so it would be a good interview trust me yeah yeah yeah great interview yeah says greetings she loved me yeah yeah this song is that yeah i recorded messiah with i'll yeah yeah yeah and it means a lot to her she whenever it takes years to send me a song you know she's so you have a song then i appreciate it you know yes yeah money i mean that songs that mean a lot to me and i'm so happy for what it's doing now yes because one of them songs are that that's forever and when you perform those songs on stage it is a vibe it's a vibe is there a song that you have recorded where you don't think that the justice will deserve only foreign um um i've been i've been on a rhythm with um what's the name that i read in there um damn military rhythm military yeah um [Music] get all the sun going but i did that for birds and i feel like i got a bird i actually actually begged him to put on the single and he wouldn't put out the single yeah so i knew that song would have been cause i've been they've been across the world are you saying i remember you know it's she likes it up and down and around my baby keeps it coming on give me love until the break on a rhythm called tundra yeah yeah we did for um [Laughter] big man thing the son of king the god lad big man yeah we're not depend upon mom and dad yeah yeah we have copies of skulls big obstacles um where's my camera um as you know frisco um you never do not want to yogi i'm just voicing just voice okay he never did anything never did anything with yogi is there anybody who are going to work with calabrese where we are in my telecom idea remember is there anybody who you haven't worked with on a collaborative level that yeah they didn't love going on the they're going to suck mud one of them time no way right now if i'm gonna do something right i'm doing it with somebody like even see him like it's a birthday popcorn i've always thought about that [Music] to me out of all the new artists them environment style puppy yeah definitely up there you know when we can do something we know we have ideas we can work and our son because the good thing with my style and never outdated right timeless you know it's timeless i've seen the songs that i'm doing now are timeless songs you know i'll show you because i i've actually reinvented myself at all time when the music changes that's important yeah because you know but you would fully youths around me and i and i go by the siwaguan and you know whatever makes sense you know we can we can fit in yeah mm-hmm so that's a good thing about reinvention and with the music i changed up a bit of a change without you ever left back you know i mean don't make sense you start work hard the more i want to go to the dope player to see them like at a double player studios and i'm diverting that you know i guess somebody might never steal anything nobody know how to play their music but now listen to their music well but you know i don't look at it like that because if somebody now play me it's not really as big as it used to be naturally definitely so why why are you worrying about someone else and djs aren't these are worldwide more than even before so just do the music let's do the music then support your song want to do well in two different two places and nowhere else those that's two places you can go perform true that there's two places you have to perform that's your red already so what about those two places you can still eat a food or another empire i've never been to costa rica normally people are coming for my costa rica san ronia kick it down please say yo when you're coming because when he's up playing i'll just know earlier calmly can't wait for you to come to costa rica so let's do the songs at this stage of the journey easy but what do you say they're saying the greatest achievement musically thus far um you know to be under the the achievement is for my name to be called in when you mention df kelly and tony kelly yeah my name is min channel i meant to embarrass my name is menchan because i'm a part of that i'm a part of that part of something great you know i'm a part of something great and not everybody can't say that you know i mean i hear my songs all the time whether they buy out whether that is short time i'll be here i cannot drive when i hear it yeah i said to simmer earlier i said what matter the research or the interview let me ask it like many are the same but me i said jaja that's so much sung yeah no one sang yeah you know the catalog yeah yeah is there anything we're going to achieve yet internally your meditation uh internally well um definitely i mean i would love to really get into the world because it's my birthplace you know in a rural jamaica vibe and i'm gonna say we are you know have a greater presence i had yes greater presence because we have the songs and play jamaica every day yeah and and that's easy because i mean it's just a really that's really publicity yeah that's what it really is just to be here and i know we can't really do that and and and you know yeah because we have the catalog where people will invite you to come and perform them you know on the on the steer shores and the tv shows we and we have songs that that's that's not threatened to no one we are people no disrespectful songs we cannot perform on television formally certainly feminism i can choose songs i don't have to do broke out song and i think i can do bio that can do something else that people know and people stand up and listen yeah looking back at the journey easy is there anything or you don't know differently if i get a chance to read that's up man i would more like as far as my early days i've known about contracts how to read it yes you know and and how because i mean the first deal that i got with warner brothers you know it was a half a million dollar in them time then and i never really got any more because i never understood so the producer yeah my publishing deal was 190 000 my recording budget was 200 000 at the time but because you don't understand the business i never had anyone in my in my family who knows so you have to be strong enough even after that you know i said when when you when when i got released from warner brothers i know somebody can still get up and forget about that and a lot of people don't forget what i'm i was able to just walk away from that and know that that's just part of my journey and move on to the next i'll take it easy yeah let's take it easy because a lot of people make it stress them out and then you know because so it was just a lesson to use a lesson because suppose i still talk about how to drive me crazy to change my life the business side of the business you never learn it early and yes you kind of lose all that like a lot of artists can tell you a lot of they've told me they've told you because you know we are telling people if you don't know this music is more is made up where it's more beneficial for the producer you know it's more beneficial for the producer yeah because i see so much artists even in jamaica right now when you see them i've made so many hit songs for producers and producers is living better than artists yeah a lot of times and it's so unfair you know look at equity not nothing and a lot of [Music] he's made my family and made my family living better because of that song that i produced for him so i could split and i've ate enough so let me just give him some of it that's what he deserves yeah you know i mean i mean that doesn't exactly yeah because someone you know and sometimes sometimes artists pass it's just simple because them can't really forgot doctor them can't really check up himself because they don't have they didn't because that's what they are right they don't have certain you know the finance but really and it's them put in the work so how can you smile and sit back and see a man go through that and don't say all right he has done this for my family so let me do about that's for him give him back and some of the mind of them own them music they don't own their music so no all of them things are in place publishing yeah yeah yeah yeah i learned i learned from warner brothers i learned from that i think balance balance you know we got bubba you know england who make sure that everything blogging yeah everything plug in as far as you know yeah man it's very important you're telling me your favorite place to perform afar is japan but what's the biggest crowd they ever work on but i still look part before all right if you look and have something on youtube where look when i went to to south africa south africa i couldn't believe it that the people were actually waiting for me outside the crowd and crawled you know that that's that really mean that we you know i said and when you walk in there and see the crowd in there with actually see you perform big crowd and say wow those couple thousand people come to see you as a headliner you know i made mention early in the interview that yeah yeah yeah yeah okay one of the original java okay from king's players at the dongtong brooklyn yeah [Laughter] no you know when my police take me what i'm chewing on uncle downtown brooklyn central booking they're going to throw the book at me and all these things the transit system can live up to what it's supposed to actually deliver the people around weird so we come and boom you know and pick up people you know germany again people anyway you're going to know anything said that right anyway for government it's also still illegal can people survive anywhere around the world we have some special people you know well you have been doing music for most of your life most of my life if it wasn't music is there any one thing out there where you think i love enough for you then if you put food on your family table outside i mean um you know seminary may never love it because i never got you know i mean at 12 when you start you're singing at 12 and you know that's what you want i stuck to it i never really gave anything else that's a chance and i've never really let anything come in front of me to say this is what i want a chance with i made sure this was it so anything that i did and since that you know since i went to abraham you know pandemic year is the only year i've never that i've never been to jamaica for a year oh so since my mother is here every year every year my mother said moon every holiday like no as june come yeah she said december chilean because you work out nice he's a nurse so any holiday come you're gone sorry i've kept so i kept in touch with the whole i've never missed out from them time until no one ever missed me since i've seen that kid going to the us was last year um just one year at my life i've never been to jamaica as i said in 1990s i lived back in jamaica when i were on dfk and bearish them i was here time were your favorite artists my favorite artist i know before from the beginning time to know beginner time i mean dennis brown is my favorite bro he runs my favorites still still stuck with me bro still never stop yes yeah i better feel without this dude very simple tell me these things yes yes yeah i've made mention of the fact that showtime broke mm-hmm i might there's not i really want that way i think that i think um your love i love um short term rock hot um silent killer boom not really no not really that's the thing [Laughter] [Laughter] some new things but since i've been here since we've been here on average this is my third song last two two weeks the song that you're doing the video for which song or the title yeah what it takes it not makes sense you said no chop yeah we day up on a misha now we're not gonna stop every move when we make you go call the cops tell me why they're my watch way youtube need food so we can relax mama not so you just can't stop me yeah so we are conquer the world we are taking the globe conquer the world car we run the road happy make sure papa that's ready or close it's burn off your mama that's really cold stuff yeah we're on the road youth safety are right god he knows but we have to have them things i put down through the falls yeah i wanting me no teach them no bag buy the sweat half and brow so him eat the bread if you try stop hours you will meet the lad so he might also feed the food every night and day now try stopping food cause you know i'm gonna play you need it and now i need it right away the jay ma pray yeah kanka we are conquered the world we are taken the globe conquered that right yeah you know everything and it's good to see that you know one airbrushing from them than that ceiling still seeing where there's something to get their friend i don't know anyone ever link when i'm when i'm traveling you know skirting come on being comfortable scared never [Laughter] musically far outstripped you know where when i where i talk is when i perform yeah okay with this when people see me perform in front and i can't stay away from steer yeah it's a different energy and that's why yeah and that's why even with the shores people always want me to come back to that venue because it's the rainbow kid yeah because we never know where the shows are you know we know we've come to do the work and we have the catalog one after a song after that yeah we have songs the promoter from california linked me and you say easy put it up on instagram people and say jesus peace from there in my firewood and that's a mostly belgian crowd california you know those people are mostly belizean it's more belizean than jamaicans follow me on instagram the official mr easy the real mr easy on twitter the real mr eazy on the facebook for the back to the same thing where i guess a lot of things that i sort of done from before i never really you know as far as more presents i just say you know but um yes it's till i come but i read i just go and do the thing yes sir i appreciate the mankind big apologies i'm keeping the current lady djs and dj charger total and all other people i might make sure it's in the music still because you know this this the mixed cd djs are very important right now let them get the music out there on the youtubes and you know all of them so yeah easy easy easy pick up dj easy now europe you know and then then you show them crazy love but you know and then money seed mixed cds reach out far away far away yes millions of views and them hours i mean as i say i'm doing quality music and they even said to me that is it all the songs you put not know is you're still there so we have to support your music because i hear a lot of artists knowing from in the 90s at the same time no i'm here they might sound like you know said no whatever you know the money my switch freedom style yes style no 50 i might say you don't really have to do that you know i mean you can't reinvent it but you're not a
