Moving to Temple Texas

so you're making the move to the temple texas area in this video i'm going to be discussing temple texas and i'm going to be talking about some of the things that the residents there love and enjoy austin and it's going to be up in the area near belton salado harker heights colleen and and all those cities if you check out some of our other videos i've made a couple videos on some of those cities if you wanted to get more information on those temples population is going to be about 80 000 maybe a little bit more those numbers are the with today's market and the way things are growing around here those numbers are probably constantly skyrocketing skyrocketing but you're looking at about 80 85 000 um homes in temple are gonna there's gonna be a wide variety of homes you're gonna find your new home communities as well as some very very old homes and when i say old homes i'm talking like 1930s uh there's actually a historic district in temple and if you're into the old school older home styles you can find those there as well um temple is gonna be one of those places that it's gonna draw a lot of people into it because of how established it is uh you're talking there's lots of job opportunities there homes are affordable and when you look into maybe relocating to the area if austin's not your thing like if you don't want to be near austin that temple area with belton and all that that that's a great area to look [Music] so temple's gonna have a dense suburban feel to it um when you go into temple and you start looking around at different properties you're gonna see that it's got that that suburban feel a lot of families moving into temple a lot of younger professionals are finding temple place for them that might have to do with the type of jobs that they have there baylor scott and white's got a big big job market there for those of you that don't know baylor scott and why it's in the health industry also there's a lot of tech industry in that area tech and and distribution so definitely some jobs out there to be found and when you go out there one of the things you can expect is the property tax rates i was coming through our mls today and i was looking at it and you're looking at about two and a half percent and up uh there are some areas where it's less than two percent but if you're kind of trying to plan and determine like okay what are we looking at to make that move what's it going to look like financially about two and a half maybe 2.6 that would be a good percentage to kind of base your numbers off of so there's going to be a lot of green in temple and when i say green i'm talking about trees if you look at some of the drone shots in this video we're shooting these in very early spring so the trees haven't fully come back yet but as the weather keeps getting warmer and the season is changing you're going to notice those trees fill in and temple's going to offer that feel to have where you have a lot of trees and a lot of nature you're really close to belton lake and there's also still house hollow lake out there as well so keep that in mind as far as some of the things to do one of the things i really like about that area is the fact that there's a lot of nature feel while they still have their buildings coming up you can still get out and find like hike and bike trails and things like that to where you're not feeling totally closed in by the urban jungle all the time [Music] bye thank you um now according to niche.com temple earns an overall grade of a b plus and this is made up of a bunch of different categories from health and fitness to crime and safety to schools places to live like best places to live for families and all that kind of stuff there's a whole bunch that goes into that the schools get an overall rating of a b which is pretty decent the one that catches my attention though and i was kind of i was looking at it and and you would have to go out check out niche.com dig into this a little bit more if you're considering temple but their crime and safety rating actually got a c that is on the lower end of the scale and definitely something you want to be aware of before you make a move there i'm not saying that all the areas in temple are bad it's just something to be aware of and something to definitely do your homework on before you make that decision so if you're moving to temple some of the things that you need to know is that there's there's a lot of parks uh you can go out there a lot of places to take your family and be in the outdoors there's a lot of restaurants plenty of places to eat a lot of shopping some of the big box stores in the area are actually located in temple so if that's something that you want to have close by temples may be a place for you some of the things that you will see is that as you drive through you'll see some of the areas that have been there for a really long time and and some of them are they're kind of cool looking some of those historic homes they're kind of cool if that's your thing like you definitely want to check that out it kind of reminds me of there's an area in georgetown that is very similar they have a historic district as well and the homes they kind of look like that 1920s style home so if you're in that area and that's your thing check it out [Music] [Music] so living in temple you're going to be really close to waco texas waco is going to offer a lot of things to do as well as far as they've got a zoo they've got some museums and just some more entertainment type things to do temple runs along the ih-35 corridor so you can expect the growth to continue over the next several years it will it's it's just a matter of time before austin touches san antonio going to the south and moves upward towards touching dallas eventually in the north i just don't see the growth slowing down anytime soon so if you're looking at temple that's definitely something to be aware of as far as where you're picking for a home to live if you want to live right next to is 35 where everything is just continuing to grow at a very very rapid rate [Music] so [Music] [Music] well this video is meant to be just a brief overview of temple in the coming weeks we're going to start putting out some comparison videos maybe compare temple to austin or some of the some of the towns near temple compared to some of the cities near austin when people are moving to this area we're finding that a lot of people are kind of gravitating towards that belton temple salado area there's a lot of appeal to that and
