Motorola Razr 2020 5G CAMERA TOUR + hands-on: BATTLE OF THE CLAMSHELL FOLDABLES

the moto razr yes new improved and 5g good afternoon you beautiful people welcome to isa tech where we do tech in your real life in style so we're looking at the motorola razer 5g in this video and let me tell you why i'm so excited i mean aside from the fact that this phone falls the right way meaning smaller and now this fits my tiny hands and my tiny purses and my tiny pockets once upon a time i really really really wanted a motor razor bad remember those are also pink ones and i never got it and so when motorola announced that they were rebooting the iconic phone last year i was so excited i wanted to check it out really really bad they had a big phone launch in la where i was at the time and the launch was actually a really big party and i like those so a bunch of tech youtubers will disagree because apparently parties and party lights don't really make for good tech video footage and i did that hands-on video in the world's worst hands-on area don't you love the lighting and the lack of any kind of ability to speak in here absolutely i couldn't even hear you i'm just agreeing anyway it doesn't matter because guess what i wasn't invited so basically second time around i was spoiled again i didn't get my hands on a motor razor but finally finally i have this in my hands actually i have two one in each hand this is the gold version and the black version pre-production units but still here we go past isa feels avenged especially because even this new motor razer 5g has this really cute retro razer mode which shows you how the original moto razor looked so yes you're watching my motorola razer 5g hands-on we're going to check out what's new with it and also a quick camera tour let's go so here we have the moto razer 5g this phone does have a little weight to it considering it's a tiny thing sits perfectly well in my hands though and that button on the back that's actually the fingerprint scanner i know it's so cool right i didn't even realize it was a fingerprint scanner until like i read about it and it's a relatively quick fingerprint scanner too see that honestly folded that is such a convenient placement and you can actually scroll down to view notifications pretty cool now on the right side you have volume buttons you have that moto razer chin at the bottom and even more at the bottom you have a sim tray you have the usb c port speakers and on the right there is an unlock button the frame that goes around the phone actually feels very solid and that back is pretty glossy well for the black version for the gold version it's actually a little matte and i mean i'm pretty sure you guys know which one i'd opt for this one right so this teeny tiny screen is nice and bright and it's very responsive also a swipe up gives you notifications and what you have here is actually the main camera that is a 48 megapixel shooter and the camera that moto wants you to be shooting with right let's flip it are you ready guys yes so this is the phone unfurled and yes there is a chin the moto chin as you can see that screen looks really flat it spread out really tightly across this phone in the middle there really is no crease on this so how this mechanism works it doesn't really fold the middle when you look closely and try to find it though you will sort of feel the mechanism of the phone here and sort of here you don't really notice it when the phone is unfurled like this because it just really feels nice and solid actually but i mean it's there if you try to find it guys it is after all a folding phone and physics demand some crease i still think it's a pleasant experience to use nonetheless because like even if you sort of feel it it's a smoother experience because there's no big crease here the secret to no middle crease is literally this when it falls when the phone folds it doesn't actually fold fold the middle like it's folded but the screen doesn't fold you can see how it instead sort of loops around when you close it folding and unfolding this phone isn't something that gives me grief i don't feel like nervous when i do it this thing doesn't feel fragile at all i mean it is a folding phone but somehow it doesn't feel fragile to me and that's awesome the back is gorilla glass and that screen feels solid also can you believe that this is splash resistant nice going through this phone in this form it looks and feels fast it's responsive it looks nice and bright and more importantly it doesn't feel like it's plastic again and i cannot stress this enough it's very solid feeling okay i want to do this for science you hear that yeah it's solid it feels solid anyway up here you have the selfie camera and that is for when you wanna actually do calls with a phone open this is honestly really cool and it's giving me the 90s vibes but you know what time it is it's time for a montage so some cool things about this phone the flip still there this is me flipping out in 2020 just like the moto razors they released last year they're really cool gestures twist it to open the camera like this or you can do a chopping motion to open the flash but no flexing unfortunately it just goes full on straight like when you get past this angle it just springs back into straightness which means you won't be able to use it at a 90 degree angle which is sad because i was looking forward to taking my own selfies on this big display at a 90 degree angle which is a shame because the feature i love most about that other clamshell foldable phone the z-flip would be that i could prop it up and use it to take remote selfies this phone though has a great big screen out and it's designed to be used and use it i did literally you can use whatever app here answer texts type talks type scripts play games watch vids watch tik tok watch yourself i mean selfies of course yes you can selfie this way and that's actually encouraged because the cameras outside are the more powerful ones the fourth eight megapixel shooters the one inside that you can use for video calls is a 20 megapixel shooter and speaking of photos you can also use this screen as a photo preview that way when you ask other people to take photos of you you know how it comes out immediately and then you can ask them to take another one because it's bad or you can have these cute things show up so that your subject in my case probably dogs looks at the cameras when you take photos this phone feels nice and pocketable and it fits my hands my purse my dog my life and probably even this micro mini chanel bag which i never understood the purpose of but now it really seems that miley just probably as a moto razor in there and most importantly you can hang up like this imagine the possibilities here we go guys time for the camera tour and did you see that that was how quick the fingerprint scanner was for this phone yes it is in the back here let's do this as you can see the screen does feel like well fast and responsive oh yeah so we are under photos there is a one x and there oh it says switch to portrait so there's a i recognizing that i am a person with full rights and well it gives you the suggestion that you can switch to portrait mode which gives you that bokeh but let's go to photo first 1x and then oh how do i do this oh there it can zoom in until 8x that is my earring can it do wide no it's only those two and then here you have the google lens settings you have timer 310 or no timer and then you have flash settings which i am going to turn on under settings it shows you all the different things here you have the instant review option which we already saw earlier in the video this is the camera cartoon option and then you have a photo size of well all these things and you can shoot in 12 megapixel photos for the 48 megapixel camera or 8 megapixel photos you also have video and slow-mo settings here let's just look at that because we want to get it out of the way you can do 4k uh i can't even speak anymore 4k uhd at most and then under slo-mo you can do 120 fps and 240 fps wait that is the main camera meaning this one out here for the internal camera which is this one in here you can do photos up until like 20 megapixels or 5 megapixels so this is a 20 megapixel shooter after all and then for video you can do full hd in 60 fps so you have portrait mode over here and you can see the bokeh immediately press here and you can adjust said bokeh tap here and you get timer or you can just press this tiny little thing and then we can go to spot color under settings and this basically allows you to pick a color wait i want it pink there and then this is how you make that work you get the idea also there is night vision which is basically their night mode you can do one x wait ah there 1x up until 4x and then up here timer settings and then you have cinematograph which is basically if you've seen it online it's those photos where like one aspect of the photo moves so that's pretty cool i will be showing you a sample here you also have panorama mode group selfie mode live filter mode which gives you of course all the wait that's not it here different filters you have promo nice you also have slow motion and spot color video so it's it's basically the same thing pick a color change settings and then it can be a video yay and then let's move on to the other side which is video you have 1x up until 8x and well there is no white on here you can do torch stabilization no stabilization oh you can toggle mike on or off and then there is well flash continuous flash and selfie video i swipe up and you get the mic setting can you zoom in or out no but you can see my pimples hello you have photo selfie photos now this camera is good for when you actually want to go on video calls but use a big screen you can oh face beauty settings for photos so there is a beauty mode on here automatic manual flash active photos and timer we also have portrait mode on the front-facing camera and as you can see there is a bokeh also adjustable under settings we still have the same things now usually we end our camera tours here but this phone it still has other camera features so we are on the tiny little screen here now this is the cameras and we swipe to the right hello so first of all i love that there is a gesture selfie mode because then i can do this and use the better camera to take photos although as you can see right now because the camera is down here every time i touch the screen and like move through the screen it sort of covers the camera you can swipe and take portrait photos you can take night vision photos you can take group selfies right how does this work oh there so it's the group selfie where you move the camera so you get like a wider shot you can also do live filters there we go then you also have oh here video mode nice nice selfie video mode a better quality because this is the main camera remember and then you have slow motion time lapse mode basically on this side you can just like preview all the different photos oh my god those are bad ones but you get the idea oh i missed that if you press all those three buttons it gives you the different settings too for each mode so aspect ratio face beauty torch timer nice now that was a very quick quick camera tour because we did go through a lot of things already about this phone so i'm gonna go now but first sample shots [Music] and that was my first look at the motorola razer 5g interesting to note that even if there are like only two phones of this kind in the market right now they're designed to be used very differently moto actually wants you to use that tiny screen of frontmoor back when they launched a motor razor last year when i wasn't invited mona explained that they wanted a device that championed a different type of use one that utilizes the front screen and utilize they did now you can do almost anything on it as to how effective this all is in real life we'll have to wait and see until i get the retail unit and test it out for sure though this motorola razer 5g is a big improvement from last year's motorola razer and now the clamshell category
