both Disney World and Disneyland are filled with a plethora of rides and attractions for people of all ages to be entertained by people save up money for months and arrive from all around the globe to see their favorite characters in all their glory and especially to take rides that'll make their hearts race and eyes sparkle well those rides aren't an easy build and for sure not cheap so sit tight as we bring to your screens the finances behind your favorite rides at Disney World and Disneyland Expedition Everest legend of the Forbidden Mountain announced publicly on April 22nd 2003 the steel roller coaster ride was built at Disney's Animal Kingdom Florida like any other attraction it wasn't easy to build requiring more than 61 km of rebar 10 ,000 tons of concrete and about 5,000 tons of structural steel it easily took the attraction to be built in the span of 3 years the ride revolves around the theme of a Yeti that protects the Forbidden Mountain which is located next to Mount Everest no not the actual Mount Everest opening officially on April 7th 2006 the ride allows the guests to go on a high speed but not as high octane Journey Through the Himalayas old tea train cars are used as Vehicles as the guests aboard spot signs along the way like torn train tracks and the Abominable Snowman traditional coaster ride Thrills are brought together with close encounters with a Yeti and it's perfect it did however come with a cost Disney had to pull a decent amount of $100 million to create this attraction and the admission ticket price starts from $375 7 on trip advisor The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror the indoor ride includes a terrifying heartdrops to the floor at an intense speed but no it's a whole suspenseful experience the elevator takes its time on its way to the top as it tells the visitors about the mysterious disappearances of people who dare step inside it it's a fictional backstory it gets more intense with time as you start to experience ghostly encounters and other scenes inspired by The Twilight Zone and to top it off the visitors experience sudden drops and asense as well as twists and turns combined with atmospheric effects located at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida with the same starting ticket price of 3757 as Expedition Everest the attraction cost Disney about $140 million to build Radiator Springs Racers currently the most expensive ride at the Disneyland Resort inspired by The Cars series Radiator Springs Racers is a six-seater vehicle where you find yourself in a race against another vehicle beside you the best part is that it's designed in a way such that the outcome of each race is different every time the indoor attraction includes a fullscale replica of Radiator Springs where sharp turns and steep hills at high speeds make the ride all the more exciting and thrilling so it's not just a straight forward ride located at Cars Land it was officially open to the public on June 15th 2012 the ride makes one feel like they're in the Cars movie themselves whether your team Lightning McQueen or team Francesco baruli you race through the winding roads and Rolling Hills of ornament Valley so how much did this extravagant ride cost Disney well $200 million to give you you a better idea the ride made up 18% of the total $1.1 billion cost for the expansion of the park Star Wars rise of the resistance Star Wars may be flopping on the box office end of things at the moment but Disney got used Star Wars fans covered as they left no stone unturned when it came to building their rise of the resistance attraction which was officially open to the public public back on December 5th 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios and then on January 17th 2020 at Disneyland they had their own version of the attraction both versions are nearly identical and provide a similar experience and both are located at the Galaxy's Edge area of their respective parks and both of them include a fullscale star destroyer replica Hangar Bay that even includes a fleet of 50 Stormtroopers and how else to make an experience more immersive than to be put right in the Crux of it that's exactly what Disney does here as you're put in the middle of a high octane battle between the resistance and the first order combining trackless rides motion simulations walk through attraction and even a version of the Tower of terror's drop ride technology that we mentioned in the list before Star Wars or's version of the drop tower however is used to simulate an escape pod being launched and you get to experience it in all its Glory towards the end of the ride when there's a 20ft drop that lasts for about a second that does sound like a quick heart attack inducing drop but it's not as intense as the traditional drop rides so don't be afraid and miss out on that action I'd even go on to say that it's a ride that you must experience even if you aren't a DieHard Star Wars fan it's hard to be one these days anyways and both remain to probably be the most complex attraction that Disney has ever built and the estimated cost ranges from 200 to $450 million for each test track let's shift gears and move on over to the test track ride at Epcot replacing the world of motion ride it was first opened to the public back on December 19th 1998 following a few hiccups let's talk about the ride itself it provides you a simulated journey and allows you to experience what it feels like to be a test dummy in a giant slot car during your testing procedures as a test dummy you get to zoom through multitudes of thrilling obstacles and tests used by General Motors to push their concept cars to to their limits and for dessert you get a high-speed drive around the exterior of the attraction and as you can expect all this top-of-the-line technology wasn't light on the pocket to build in fact it caused Disney a mindblowing amount of $300 million but who's complaining those slick imagineers made the most of that money battle for the sunken treasure battle for the sunk treasure as the name suggests is a dark ride another thing to notice is that the ride is magnetically powered the storyline that this attraction provides is different from other Pirates of the Caribbean attractions this is why it's different from them along with the rest of the Park the ride opened on June 16th 2016 where you get to meet everyone's favorite Captain Jack Sparrow but not without venturing into the caves of Misfortune after starting at the Royal Navy's former Fortress upon exiting the cave you enter the famous graveyard of lost ships where you witness what seems to be the remains of the iconic Flying Dutchmen but keep your eyes peeled for the Kraken also lurks in the same Waters not to mention what happens after you make your way out of the graveyard of lost ships well you get into a sea battle between between the Dutchman and the Black Pearl after everything you'll be welcomed with gold and the allnew animatronics of Jack Sparrow and Davey Jones that use fresh new technology unused in the prior Pirates of the Caribbean ride implementing all these iconic scenes and characters from The Beloved franchise Disney spared no nickel as this attraction cost them a staggering 450 Mill million dollar Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic rewind you know what's better than a normal roller coaster an omni coaster an omn coaster is a roller coaster that doesn't just move forward but covers a full 360° as you can imagine even coming up with such a coaster and executing it safely is a huge deal located in the old Universe of Energy Pavilion it is part of the worldis Discover neighborhood of Epcot on planet Earth considering how big a global success the franchise had become fans from all over the globe took interest after its official opening on May 27th 2022 and everyone wanted to meet their favorite characters from the franchise and Disney made sure that they got just that including not only Star-Lord Groot Gamora and rocket but also the rest of the Guardians better yet you won't just meet your Heroes but also join them on a quest to save the Galaxy while jamming to some pretty cool tunes of course but it all comes with a cost pretty hefty cost according to Bloomberg a hefty cost of $500 million but hey you don't see anyone complaining because everyone sees with their own eyes exactly where all that money went as soon as they walk into the park and are immediately surrounded by the Guardians universe and a good chunk of that money went into getting the actual actors from the franchise to record the pre-show and some ride segments Pandora and Avatar flight of Passage the captivating Universe of Avatar took the World by storm as soon as James Cameron first revealed it to the world set to become one of the greatest fictional Tales of all time the universe is set in a habitable Moon called Pandora 4.37 light years from our beloved Earth the first movie was so well done for its time that Disney knew that they'd have to spare no money if they were to provide an experience for the visitors remotely as close as that of the movie and best believe that's what they did as the attraction cost them a whopping on amount of $500 million to build with all that money they were not only allowed to combine state-ofthe-art technology with an immersive 3D experience in order to build the flight of Passage ride but they were also able to build the one-of-a-kind elaborate cue for the flight of Passage ride which features the iconic mountains of Pandora from the movie spaceship earth last but not least nested in the heart of Epcot the star of the show is spaceship earth the monument provides an insight into how dedicated Disney is when it comes to creativity storytelling and Innovation and trust me this tall and shiny structure is nearly impossible to overlook its official opening dates back to October 1st 1982 when Epcot was called Epcot Center it has since become a one-of-the-kind symbol of EP cot which fascinates visitors to this day and also works as a fan favorite backdrop for their picture sessions being the Innovative Masterpiece of sheer complexity and scale it cost Disney quite a fortune to build a staggering more than $800 million but you'll get your money's worth as you ride through the evolution of human communication and the early days of the digital era all the while Lear learning how we connect and share ideas as human beings
