foreign welcome to Morocco Morocco is a gorgeous culturally diverse country with a rich history no matter where you go in Morocco you will get a taste of the Arab Berber African Spanish and French influences each Medina or old city in Morocco has its own story to tell Morocco is located on the continent of Africa this North African country borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea geographically Morocco has everything for nature lovers a rugged mountainous interior large tracts of desert and a lengthy coastline there are a ton of things to see and do in Morocco for example you could go to Marrakesh also known as the red City a vibrant City with plenty of souks or markets old walls and Gates Gardens and Market squares like the JAMA alfina or you could go to Rabat a Seaside City and Morocco's capital or you could go to Casablanca and see the Hassan II mosque the second largest functioning mosque in Africa there's also the Medina of Fez Chef Shaolin which is known as the blue City the Sahara Desert dunes and the high Atlas Mountains just to name a few and now the delicious food of Morocco there's tagine a dish made with spiced vegetables accompanied by meat chicken or fish that is cooked inside a heavy Pottery vessel called a tagine and couscous which can be eaten with meat or veggies or simply according to tastes and occasions a famous soup that many eat throughout the year in Morocco is harira it is also commonly eaten during the month of Ramadan to break fast every day for something sweet you might enjoy gariba Bella or silly cookie and you can't go to Morocco without enjoying some Moroccan mint tea when it comes to Sports football or soccer is extremely popular in Morocco but you might also see people outside playing dinifrey or inside playing a variety of card games mini in Morocco opt for modern styles of clothing but special occasions and ceremonial events typically see a return to traditional dress like the jalaba a long loose fitting hooded garment worn by both men and women or the caftan a famous dress worn by Moroccan women for special occasions like weddings or engagement parties and finally the language because of the varied historical influences on the people of Morocco there is a variety of languages spoken throughout the country the majority of people speak Moroccan Arabic but French is another major language spoken as well in Moroccan Arabic to say hello you might say salaam or salam alaikum which means peace be upon you and to say goodbye you might say bislema and that concludes our trip to Morocco thanks for watching
