We have a live look outside right now from our Midamerican Energy Davenport Eagle eye camera. And yeah, there's a lot of breeze out there. Still, you can see that flag blowing in the wind. It's not gonna be as gusty as yesterday, but still enough to keep temperatures feeling a bit cooler. So we have temperatures a lot cooler to start the day for us right now. 31 in Sterling, 32 in Princeton, 33 Galesburg, 32 in Muscatine. And we're gonna continue to stay a lot cooler than it was yesterday and that's all. Thanks to Northwest flow now coming in. So we had a cold front move through yesterday, transition to that wind direction, keeping us pretty breezy with gusts as high as 25 to 30 MPH. But again, that's going to continue to usher in that cooler air mask. In the meantime, though, it's that it's nice to get a little bit of sunshine out there this morning. There's a lot of cloud cover that's starting to push in from the north. So we'll likely see partly cloudy conditions into the afternoon. Something else I do want to point out is. There's been a lot of light snow showers going on in Minnesota and Wisconsin this morning again. Not really seeing a whole lot, but still, that's a good indicator of how chilly this air is that is being dragged down from Canada and kind of stay in this flow here for the next couple of days. Feels like temperatures when you're factoring in those winds may only at best feel around 30 degrees for the afternoon. So hopefully you didn't put away the heavier coat yet. You might want it if you're heading outside this afternoon. Here's a look at your future track for today. Highs are going to be in the low forties again, might not feel like it because we do have all those winds as we get into tonight, we stay dry, it's going to continue to be chilly. We'll be in the mid twenties for overnight lows and that just sets the stage to continue to keep us cool going into Monday. So Monday's highs still stay in the low forties and that's about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. The good news though, we do see a little bit of an increase in temperatures as we head into specifically Tuesday, which in turn is also the vernal equinox, the official start of spring. So it's going to feel like it. But we kind of even out here as we head through the week, we hover between the upper forties and around 50 which again, pretty seasonal for this time of year. But we've really had to lower these temperatures over the past couple of days, which is a good indicator that we're going to enter into a more active pattern. Talking about more cloud cover, more chances of precipitation. So here is a look at going into our next chance of precipitation, which looks to be late Thursday evening. Now, we do see some hints that there could be cold enough air with the system that it transitions into some snow showers and brings that into our area. But I want to point out that we do see that freezing line pretty close to our hometown. So we're still several days out. This could definitely advance off to the north and we could in turn only track in a chance of some rain showers. But it is something important to keep in mind that we are not done with snow chances, even though we're in March on average, we do see about four inches of snow in the month. So we'll keep that chance there. We'll continue to keep a close eye out on it. And hey, we could bring in yet another chance by the time we get to the end of next weekend. Good morning.
