the Morecambe I used to fish back in the 1970s birds hardly any resemblance at all to the mark and we have here today in 2013 for evidence of that you only need to look at what I'm sat on here the local councilors freeze the entire room the promenade with rock Armour to dissipate way of action as a means of defense from flooding but unfortunately it's also dissipated high water and disabled angling opportunities too that said all is not lost because Morcom also has one of the best low waters somewhere and autumn Fisher's in the northwest for those willing to struggle through the modern over the mussel beds on the smaller tides were plays flounders and an occasional bass become concentrated or waiting for the tide to flood back of the surrounding bank from the pond to the beaches it's a good mark for place here because of obviously the Tigers out all the fish are compressed into this channel so you know the fish are there when the tide floods all these banks the fish spread out in the could be anywhere but once the tide drops the wall compressing to this channel so but obviously a low water they tend to sit there that don't really feed hard so it's up to you to make them gamma feed so what I tend to do is drag my baits slightly ever so often it just agitates it a little bit and place being curious and you've been petted predatory fish the hormone on it as well as the Sun obviously I'll just give this a little bit of a drag guess there's not much tied on yeah and there actually could be somewhere yet welp it is a fish not snug just off you go that's typical this dump of fish you get down this time of year probably pound pound and half and that was with their dead low what is not tied one just be dragging my bait across the bottom and it's obviously stir them up into taking my bait this is my place for shindig it's fairly simple routine rig it's just a sliding morning ledger with a watch led a bead event the not becoming che from the lead onto a swivel and on tattoo I use a to hook simple trace with a stop bead stop the worm going up the hook and and what an Aberdeen fine wire hooks can't be simpler easier make up if you lose them the visas it replace obviously the when the fish the weights sat on the fish pull they don't feel the weight the point directly to the line so the bites that use a pretty good I use a watch and lead because I like to like I said before I like to drag the bait every so often which creates a bit of a commotion for the fish to hold me on it couldn't really be any easier bit more confident now feels a little bit heavier they stay in law and it's fine it's all just a small flats as I said before there's not much tidal movement in a moment it's a fairly near dead low water so what I tend to do to try and get the place on the feed every so often was just to drag my dragged my lead six feet or so it's the only place in the vicinity tiny fish they tend to home in on that attracts them to your bait it just gets them in feeding mold so I'll do that two or three times before I really interpret bait if you do get a tentative not like that I tend not to strike straight away I tend to let it develop because sometimes it's just a fish sucking on the worm so use fine wire Burdine hooks so like if it does get go down deep the usually you can add the conversion maneuver them out to the gill cover or the do pull three pretty easily definitely switching that should love to a bit longer nothing on there nope son if a legal place baby falls and black nut fresh black and stickier the better usually and I use a tip it off with a fresh blow log there you go boys so belts on it come on run away this will just show you the fireworks I say pull out nice and easy yep put on the down let's get some more work we fall on it yeah yeah so this time of the year they've obviously been feeding off all summer that is a prime prime place I look how thick that is there so I'm going to come back in early in the year spent the business spawning out offshore looking bucket-list skinny no meat animal that is absolutely prime nice flat fish keeper keeper is anything on this cousin been up in the boat so that's the ship straw applies flounder you oh yeah cuckoo for boys in it well you are doing oh hey Kelly he'll know we're you can do release yeah this is this is what we come for to nice fight as you like place for the table probably some of the best place fishing the northwest at save our deer
