More bed bugs discovered over summer at Las Vegas Strip hotels

thousands of people expected to travel to Las Vegas in the coming weeks for not only the Super Bowl but also F1 but there is concern of what some of these guests could leave behind in their hotel rooms like this right here 8 news now reporter josha pagero has been reviewing Health inspections from strip hotels Joshua hello Denise and AI in June I obtained records showing inspectors found bed bugs at several strip hotels over the span of 2 years months later I decided to check back to see what was found in July and August there were new cases of bed bu at least two new strip Resort Hotels had bed bugs according to this report a guest thing at the Venetian complained about finding bed bugs on July 29th and was moved to another Suite an inspection 3 days later the discovered the insects Weeks Later a guest at Park MGM reported bed bugs to managers there on August 14th the next day the room was inspected and it tested positive I made several unsuccessful attempts to get a comment from hotels I previously reported on bed bugs being found that Caesars Circus Circus palaso MGM Grand Tropicana Planet Hollywood and Sahara at one point the hotel has the uh ultimate responsibility period because nobody's going to be bringing bed bugs in purposely Brian vrag is a bed bug attorney he says Hotel housekeeping is trained to look for these insects but guest should be proactive you really need to be checking between the baseboard and the mattress because bed bugs don't like a whole lot of commotion vag says people should avoid placing their luggage on beds or near carpeting you do have rights in the hotel to have a safe habitable place to sleep now MGM International Resorts also owns Park MGM and they previously told us in a statement quote we have comprehensive procedures in place to address and resolve any issue that may arise
