it was you know one of my favorite things to do in the whole world because it was like going to work with my family and it was amazing and that day that he went I wasn't there so it really doesn't make any difference in my life and after 11 years it must have been so weird waking up thinking oh that's gone I'm not going to do that yeah it was heartbreaking we were all like very very very sad because you know it's the people you want to see every day and and you do get separated when you finish also when the day that we ended Modern Family Two Weeks Later the pandemic happened so we didn't see each other like really it was just like oh suddenly we don't see each other anymore it was really hard but you know now we get connected when we can everybody's doing their own thing but every time we can we connect yeah there's bound to be a reunion I still connect with a lot of them still yeah cuz they say well I don't say it but they say my episode was one of the best you remember that episode ever and this is my first leading man role um where I'm like serious it took you a long time huh what you know what you know what in this one I'm I'm not the Kevin that you knew of old I'm no I'm just saying curious yes very good good for you but it took a long time you know know you you should start respecting me more now that I'm an action star I'm not the Kevin from Modern Family things have changed things have changed for me now okay so the biggest thing for me was the confined space heat uh I fall asleep flat like not cuz I'm an narcoleptic but if I get hot I get sleepy so my thing is like I don't want I'm not no so I do follow some effect and because I'm an action star now I'm on harnesses and all this stuff and I'm like you can't overwork me cuz I'm like a car baby you further away from Gloria in modern family uh so how how did this drama come about was this your baby did you make this show happen well this was an idea that I got like 15 years ago this was actually a real story of a woman this is one of the biggest drug dealers that ever existed in Colombia and she was able to do it for a long long time because she was a woman and nobody was suspecting of a woman creating this insane cartel she was ruthless and I went crazy about that story because you know I have this accent that is not that strong but you know it uh it's sometimes um not allows me to play every role that I want and so I had to look for roles for me and she's Colombian she's a woman she's an immigrant and she was like a very very uh tough ruthless woman yeah but then you realized that there was a lot more inside of her that made her into a monster and we can see from that poster you do not look like yourself how much was going on in terms of makeup and well I actually look like that this is a lot of makeup it's reverse trick reverse it's reverse no it was you know that was one of the hardest things because I had to wear a wig fake teeth fake nose I had plastic from here to here cuz I have very thick eyebrows so we wanted to make them like from that era I had to wear like bras to push myself down a little and make myself less Latin and you know so and also I created this walk and I had to learn how to smoke and I had to learn how to do cocaine so it was it was it was a complicated C for me I feel you being judged right now yeah I'm Colombian but we we don't get
