it's a tough situation right well that's the depth the other thing that I would say is it's one of those things where again I didn't make it a full-time job until we were at 3 million subs that's true like it's so easy for people these days to get into the mindset of I'm gonna be a professional youtuber I'm gonna do this full-time but that's not Steph Stephanie actually had great advice when we first started man but and this was our mantra this was our mantra over and over and over again for years yeah which was I think you know what you're talking about when so when he first started the YouTube channel if I'm gonna do another supposed to before you know I was a resume builder and I said from the very beginning I was like no matter what it is don't ever expect to make money off of your block what if it's a you know what's a blog for this case but like don't ever don't ever expect to make money from your blog if you do it you should do it for fun and cuz you enjoy it because you think you're building a skill and you should never expect to make money from it yeah so that's why when we went shopping for stuff like a microphone and it was $25 and I was like oh it's a $25 microphone $25 is so much we could spend that on something else but we were super poor and you know it was the kind of thing where was like you never expect to make any of that money back right so anything that you're sinking into it that should just because it's for funsies yeah right that would that was the thing and yes at a certain point then money enters into the picture and you have to kind of like you know it becomes a business and it becomes a more regular thing but for now like that's much much later down the line like the focus needs to be around like hey I'm doing this or fun I'm doing this to build a skill I'm doing this for my own passion and if it does great awesome that's fantastic and if you like what I'm doing great then I can take it from there but so many people are so eager to jump into the full-time YouTube bandwagon so early that you then do fall into those moments where it's like I need to do this brand deal in order to like pay my rent and this and that where you know in my opinion and I think maybe here's to like it just makes more sense hey do it nights and weekends and for fun but keep a day job and also in case it doesn't work yeah at this point it's so hard to make it work here as as to type in feels like so hard to make it work and also it showed like if you're if you're doing it on nights and weekends it really shows you like are you actually dedicated to doing this because if you have to do that nights and weekends like you spent a year yeah sleep sleep it out man do you make any money no we got a block got a buck a buck that's
