"there are three evils in our nation, its not only racism, but economic exploitation of poverty would be one, and then militarism." - Martin Luther King
That "economic exploitation of poverty" is what these capitalism simps say MUST exist.
Its craaaaaaaaazy how deep white supremacist ideas and tropes have successfully penetrated poc's minds. The second slaves were freed they (white supremacists) decided they had to divide in order to conquer... And here we are in 2021 with a country speckled wit a bunch of uncle ruckuses. Gd shame.
The reason capitalism doesn’t work for blacks is cuz blacks don’t have any inheritance, White people do because their ancestors were slave owners, everything that blacks had going for themselves was destroyed by whites (black wall st, whitecapping to cease assets etc) so capitalism better serves white people cuz the wealth needed to thrive in capitalism is already within their families, these white people will have you thinking just because a few blacks managed to make it in a capitalist society that the system isn’t broken, shit is embarrassing and all the rich whites that ppl dicksuck didn’t become rich cuz they were smart enough to become successful in a capitalist society they became rich cuz they already had generational wealth within their families that allowed them the resources to do so, give blacks the same opportunity and socioeconomic inequality wouldn’t be as big an issue, niggas need to understand that the majority of these rich white hicks aren’t self made millionaires/billionaires and don’t have some incredible rags to riches story they got rich cuz they were already rich from generational wealth and family wealth, niggas claiming that capitalism isn’t a broken system are only lying to themselves, niggas need to come up with a new economic system that is suitable for the current state of society
“When education is not liberating, the dream of the oppressed is to be the oppressor” Paulo Freire
This interview was done not long before MLK was killed but ppl never talk about this more radical side of MLK, just like how Malcolm X’s views become less radical but ppl only talk about his radical views
Right at 13:40....
"American society made the Negroes color a stigma. America freed the slaves in 1863, through the Emancipation Proclamation of Abraham Lincoln, but gave the slaves no land, and nothing in reality. And as a matter of fact, to get started on.
At the same time, America was giving away, millions of acres of land in the west and the Midwest. Which meant that there was a willingness to give the white peasants from Europe an economic base, and yet it refused to give its black peasants from Africa, who came here involuntarily in chains and had worked free for two hundred and forty-four years, any kind of economic base.
And so emancipation for the Negro was really freedom to hunger. It was freedom to the winds and rains of Heaven. It was freedom without food to eat or land to cultivate and therefore was freedom and famine at the same time.
And when white Americans tell the Negro to “lift himself by his own bootstraps”, they don’t uh, they don’t look over the legacy of slavery and segregation. I believe we ought to do all we can and seek to lift ourselves by our own boot straps, but it’s a cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps.
And many Negroes by the thousands and millions have been left bootless as a result of all of these years of Oppression and as a result of a society that deliberately made his color a stigma and something worthless and degrading."
In other words...
As long as you white, socialism is aok, the second you black you should love pulling yourself up by the bootstrap of capitalism. FOH, white america been owed my family for the hundreds of years my forefathers and mothers put in. The dont wanna give us that, so fuck it we all gonna eat using socialistic methods of operating. If that means medicare for all so be it, if that means democratic workplaces so be it, if that means a higher minimum wage so be it.
“We can’t fight racism with racism, we will fight it with solidarity, we can’t fight capitalism with black capitalism, we will fight it with socialism” - Fred Hampton. Capitalism is the system reinforcing systemic racism and what people believe about socialism is because of the cultural hegemony of Western civilization. Most of what the West says about socialism and communism is propaganda. We are more of an authoritarian country domestically and globally. Capitalism harms the black community as members of the working class. To buy into it thinking it will cure racism will simply oppress our own communities as race is a tool of class.
Man ya some bitch ass niggas without a single hustle bone in your body, sorry excuses for men
